The Best Chicken Wings In Philadelphia - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Fairmount’s Bad Brother’s gochujang wings have serious char marks, and the mound of them takes up 80% of the plate. These spend time getting a little smoky on the grill before they’re tossed in a dark soy and sesame sauce, then topped with pickled jalapeño and radish. And while playing dress-up is nice, you really don’t need any ranch sauce on the side. These jumbo wings are already dripping with a slightly salty and sweet glaze." - candis mclean

The Best Restaurants In Fairmount

"Bad Brother is Fairmount’s ideal neighborhood spot if you want to watch a game but don’t want a gameday crowd. The front area has a dimly lit bar, a small TV, and the vibe of your uncle’s den, while the back dining room is perfect for bringing a few friends to grab a burger or a sausage roll (which is basically a sausage cheesesteak). Because of the small space, you’ll need a reservation when the Eastern State Penitentiary crowd comes through, or when the Sixers are on a winning streak. But the soy-glazed wings are worth the extra step—they're some of the city’s best—not to mention the weirdly flirty image of a purple Garfield on their wall. " - candis mclean

On the Grid : Bridgids

"Next level dishes for this unassuming neighborhood bar. The place sounds and looks Irish but the food is actually Italian. Crab meat on top of house made ricotta cheese on toast, topped with pickled onions, cherry tomatoes and balsamic reduction? Rad. Understated, non-trendy place, which is refreshing these days." - Radlands

Bad Brother - Review - Fairmount - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Bad Brother is Fairmount’s ideal neighborhood spot if you want to watch a game but avoid a gameday crowd. There’s a dimly lit bar out front that sits around eight people, with a small TV and the energy of your uncle’s den. You’ll find another TV in the back dining room, where you can bring a few friends and grab a burger, a sausage roll (pretty much a sausage cheesesteak), and some of the city’s best wings. Because of the small space, you’ll need a reservation when the Eastern State Penitentiary crowd flows through or when the Sixers are on. But the extra work is worth the soy-glazed wings and spending the night staring at a weirdly flirty image of a purple Garfield on their wall." - Candis R. McLean

Google
One of my favorite local neighborhood spots, and a true gem. What I love most is the rotating menu, which keeps things exciting and gives you something new to look forward to every week: Sunday: Steak Night Monday: Meatloaf & Martinis Tuesday: Pasta Night Wednesday: Wine & Cheese Thursday: Cider & Swine The service at the bar is always top-notch. You'll often find one of the "Bad Brothers" (Nick or CJ) behind the bar, which really adds a personal touch to the experience. The food is consistently fantastic. Every night offers something different, and the quality never disappoints. The ambiance is great as well, though be prepared to wait for a seat at the bar, especially on busy nights--this just speaks to how popular and delicious the food is.

Loved this spot. Pork was juicy and cooked perfectly. Delicious burger & the wings were fall off the bone delicious! Made a great espresso martini, great beer selection. Can’t wait to come back.

Google
It was alright, no complaints other than the sandwich being under seasoned. I heard a lot about this place but can't say it lived up to expectations. Not that it dissapointed either, just fell somewhere in the middle for me. Maybe I just visited on an off day but for the price I don't think I'd go back.

Google
Amazing local spot! Really love this place for the hole-in-the-wall vibe coupled with some surprisingly amazing food. They also have some really great beers on tap. The sausage roll is a must, but their burger is also extremely good too (if you’re looking for something else).

Google
Fantastic spot. You would not suspect from the outside the treasures within. Great cocktails, super be beers, and a brilliant menu.

Google
Neighborhood spot with INCREDIBLE food… cannot say enough good things. The caesar salad is one of the best I’ve had. We also got the grilled asparagus & maitake bowl which was so delicious… each bite had a new burst of flavor in it. Cheeseburger was nothing short of tasty as well. All around a great spot, cozy vibe and good service. Automatic 20% service fee included FYI.

Google
Awesome food and excellent service I had a pasta night special! kale & ricotta gnocchi, marinara, fennel, serrano jamon, broccolini comes w/ garlic bread & side caesar salad which was amazing. I highly recommend this place

Google
4.6 stars was our total experience. 5 stars- Attentive service which came with an automatic 20% gratuity, which I didn’t mind because that’s what I would have given our servers anyway, so fortunately service was good. Atmosphere is 4.6, it was a really cool place, small so they maximized their space. I believe it was probably a house turned into a restaurant…that’s what it seemed like. Menu/Food was a 4.5 for me. We were excited & came there thinking we were going to be wowed by their burger menu …but my kids were confused because there was no burger on the menu. There was however a cheese burger served in a hoagie style. It was a bit odd, average in taste. The fries were a bit on the burn side; however, I read other reviews and that seems to be the chef’s preference …crispy. The sausage sandwich was delicious and the siracha wings were also great! We also loved the bread that came with honey butter spread. I ordered wine by the glass and the portion was quite small, below the normal serving but it was a great montepulciano which I recommend. Overall, we intentionally chose Bad Brother because we thought they were known for their burgers…and there were no burgers.

Yelp
Outstanding food, service, and ambiance. Love BB for the experience but always come back for the changing menu of great food and cocktails.

Yelp
For sure want to come back for the sausage roll. That looked like the best thing on the menu, but unfortunately they had run out on the day that I visited. With that being said, I ordered a burger and wings and both hit the spot. The place was pretty crowded, but service was fast regardless and it had a friendly and sociable ambiance

Yelp
I can't believe it took me so long to check out this establishment! Great restaurant/bar in Fairmount that's walking distance to Eastern State Penitentiary. I highly recommend making reservations. I came here with a group and they were able to accommodate and seat us upstairs. We ordered the Carangi Rustic Bread and Srircha Buffalo Wings for the table. The bread was addicting with the honey butter and sea salt. So simple yet so delicious. The wings were cooked to perfection and had a unique flavor profile especially paired with the bonito umami filled ranch. For entrees, I tried the house salad and cheeseburger. Both deserve a 10/10! The salad was very tasty and I wouldn't change one thing about it. The burger is something I could eat every week if possible. Loved all the condiment pairings with this. Great spot with great service!

Yelp
This is a foodie joint first, massive local brewery-bar second. We came here with the whole family on a Tues (granted Phillies game) night with reservation (strongly recommend) and were immediately seated in the upstairs area where our kids had more space to be themselves without interrupting other diners. Biggest suggestion: find parking far away, this is a residential area and expect to get lucky or walk about 10 min from your car. Must get: wings (sriracha), burger, rustic bread, salad, chips Meh: quinoa Missed out: dessert, mixed drinks I really loved the home made bread (purchased separately) and the sweetened butter. The bread came piping hot from the oven and my family devoured it in half a minute, using the last morsel to scrape up the delectable buttery plate. Despite Bad Brother being a 'bar,' we were surprised by the vegetarian options and found the salad to be quite sweet and balanced in flavor. The quinoa looked really good on paper, but felt a bit underwhelmed, both in size and flavoring in comparison. My babysitter and wife loved their meaty dishes (burger and steak) respectively, and my kids loved the kiddie version of the burger and grilled cheese without any complaints. The beer list is expansive, loved the IPA drafts. Please note there is a 20% service charge added, which we had no complaints. Food: 5 stars Price: 4.5 stars (it is not cheap) Service: 4 stars (friendly, but slightly slower) Ambiance: 4 stars - it's a bar, so it can get a bit loud (TV)

Yelp
I came here upon seeing phenomenal reviews and it mostly lived up to the hype. On one side, there's a bar area and the other side is the restaurant area with TVs. It felt like a place locals went to to watch sports. I ordered the beer battered flounder after it was recommended to me. Apparently the sausage roll is the star of the show but I was told it was very hearty and I wasn't hungry enough for that. While the servers were very nice, the food took forever to come. I will say the flounder was cooked to perfection. So very crispy. My main complaint for the food was that the sandwich could've had a bit more flavor. Even with the sauce and ketchup, it could've used something more. Also, the potato wedges were thick and I would've preferred regular fries. Beyond those small complaints, it's a pretty good spot to get an American meal. One additional thing to note is that there's an automatic 20% service fee in favor of a traditional tip.

Yelp
The bar area was full of coat hangers and set up nicely for conversations with company. Ended up getting busy at the bar so we grabbed a table for ordering food and more conversation. Great spot!

Yelp
Overheard someone mention this place the other day so when we were looking for a place to eat after a long day at the Franklin Institute, I suggested we check it out. A hole in the way that you would easily walk past, unassuming on a quiet neighborhood street near the Art Museum sits Bad Brother and this place couldn't be further from bad! Divey but upscale, unpretentious, and the food is FANTASTIC!!! Not sure who the chef is, but their choice of flavor profiles was truly unique. From the interesting drink menu to the outrageous pear and ricotta donuts with home-made Nutella, absolutely couldn't recommend this place more. The only downside is that there isn't a location near us in Los Angeles. Bravo to the chef and staff! Truly a gem!

Yelp
Outstanding experience! Everything from the bread to the final bite was memorable. Can't wait to go again.

Yelp
Cute bar/restaurant with delicious food. I took away a star because the bar area is very very small; can be difficult to find seating. I tried multiple times (granted on the weekend) and only my last attempt was successful. With that said, they have a great drink list and the food was foodie level.

Yelp
The service was excellent! Our server, Rebecca, was so kind, attentive, and genuine. We felt taken care of. The food was great! I loved the wings, the sausage roll, and the Caesar salad. I thought the burger was missing something. Maybe my expectations were too high because everyone talks about it in their reviews. I will coming back again!

Yelp
The menu was unexpected considering the venue seems like a typical neighborhood bar. We were seated upstairs which is quieter than the downstairs which has a large bar area and then a smaller seating area. Having read the Yelp reviews, we ordered: bread with honey butter and sea salt - 5/5 outstanding, we wanted to lick the plate that butter concoction was so good! wings with sriracha - 5/5 outstanding again, crisp and delicious with a kick! radicchio salad - 5/5 - not so much radicchio, more arugula, but that is more to my liking, fresh, tasty, I'd have this again and again kids' burger - 4/5 - I ordered mine with everything including bacon, but ended up taking off the bacon because it was not crispy as I prefer it (and I don't really need to eat four strips of bacon on top of my cheeseburger!) the wedge fries were very good and crispy (unlike the bacon) I could have stopped at the bread/butter, wings, and radicchio salad. Maybe next time I'll throw in the roasted cauliflower which also sounded good, and when Lent is over I'll go back for the dessert doughnuts!

Yelp
Have had this place on my list to try for a while as I heard they have the best wings in the city and wow did they meet expectations. It's very unassuming as you enter, a nice big bar and a few tables on the lower level, and then more tables upstairs. Seems like a typical dark and fun bar vibe, but what really stands out is the food. Drink selection was very big, and the menu is focused on some great options. Came in on a Wednesday so tried their cheese plate which was on special for the day (only $12!), and it was just wonderful all around. Three tasty, soft cheeses with crostini breads. A handful of candied walnuts with apple slices. Honeycomb and warm blueberry jam. Very nicely presented and tasted delicious. The wings were just perfect, not only in very high quality but the sauce as well. Just flawless. Not too spicy but had a great kick. Definitely amongst the best in the city. Also they have weekly specials which are great! Really awesome spot, definitely stop in if you're in this area. Thanks

Yelp
Good. The menu was small, makes sense given that it seems like a local bar more than anything. The crab bites were good but underwhelming. My hubby had to split his sausage sandwich so I felt like I was getting more of a well-rounded meal. The Good: The milk punch drink was excellent. Not a lot in the glass for the price, but it was a great cocktail. The bread and honey butter were delicious. The presentation was kind of meh, but it was good crusty bread. The Not-so-good: It's dark and loud, the parking is Fairmount parking (although we miraculously found parking a block down). There's a 20% service fee. Make of that what you will. I appreciate places trying to do right by their employees but it hampers the patron in some ways, I think. There were other little fees and taxes that accumulated on our bill that made the meal about $170 all told. I get it, but that struck me as a lot for this bar. Hey... maybe I'm not the regular who doesn't balk at that kind of damage.

Yelp
We stopped by after a nearby trip and found the place to have a cozy ambiance. It's a small spot located in a quiet, bustling neighborhood near the Rocky statue. The area is close to a residential corner, so there were plenty of families and locals around. The service was quick and efficient, and we came specifically for the sandwiches and burgers, which lived up to their reputation--both were delicious and filling. After our meal, we took a walk to burn off the carbs, which was a nice way to end the visit. This cute spot is perfect for a couple or a small group of friends. Though the place is small, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommend!

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant and we had a great time! We had to make our reservation two weeks in advance, but it was worth it! Didn't get a chance to see the upper level but the downstairs is kinda small. That being said, the atmosphere is amazing! The service and food were amazing as well! The drinks were fantastic! I'm a Lemon Drop lover and this Bartender was excellent! Will definitely be going back, but remember...make your reservations in advance!

Yelp
Best burger I've ever had! I ate at the bar. If you're patient you can get a seat. Saw lots of people eating the grain bowl and wings as well.

Yelp
First time visiting the city and loved this place for dinner. Great location, easily walkable, yet off the main drag. Food was so unique and every bite was amazing! Octopus corn dogs, Sausage sandwich, and burgers are well worth your time. Service was great too. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Staff and Service: - The staff members here were very nice and patient Food and Drinks: - Cheeseburger: the sauce on this burger was good, but I did have to eat it without the top bun because it was burnt and quite crispy / hard . The sweet potato wedges the burger came with weren't good - House Salad: I enjoyed this salad a lot, from the citrus ricotta (we asked for this on the side) to the vinaigrette - Buffalo Wings: these wings definitely had a kick to them from the jalapeños and the sriracha sauce - Cheese Plate: the honey and jam were the hits of this place, giving the cheese and bread a really nice touch Miscellaneous: - Two gender-neutral restrooms available downstairs - Didn't go upstairs, but there is an upstairs - They can make cocktails off the menu as well - Street parking available - It is quite loud here, making it a little difficult to hear other people

Yelp
It is easy to understand the Fairmount resident compulsion to gatekeep the heck out of Bad Brother. Upon arrival around 6pm on a Friday, my friend and I were hoping to score bar seats to enjoy some post-work dinner and drinks. Both of us live in the neighborhood, had never been, and were way past-due for a visit. No dice on the bar seats since the Bad Brother happy hour is such a crowd favorite, but the awesome staff here squeezed us in at a table for 2 upstairs. Everything was top tier from service to food to easy going ambience. They seem to do it all - great cocktail list, strong wine selection, elevated and delicious "pub" food, and also...arcade games. I love a reliable spot that can be a catch all for any mood, vibe, or occasion, and Bad Brother does it with ease. I tried the kids burger, caesar salad, and fries and thoroughly enjoyed everything, with a special shout out to their house made caesar. Once we wrapped up our wine and meal, our server casually said "are we gonna get some doughnuts?" and we immediately (and correctly) responded "yes." If you take nothing else from this review, do NOT skip the doughnuts. Under no circumstance are you to skip the doughnuts. Oh, you're too full and don't want dessert? You're wrong. Oh, you don't typically like sweet treats? A) seek help and b) order the doughnuts anyways and thank me later. I want to go back and try the sausage roll and wings and soup and basically the entire menu. Make a reservation or try your hand at nabbing a bar stool, but I would head over right when they open. Peace love and doughnuts, people.

Yelp
The food and service at Bad Brother are consistently great! We always start out with the Carangi rustic bread (from South Philly) and honey butter. OMG, the butter! I had no idea butter could taste like this. It's sweet and salty and so delicious! Honestly, I think I could've just ordered two more of the bread and called it good. I'd have been happy. The cheeseburger (with no cheese) was juicy and delicious and the pickles, onions and condiments were all great as well, and in proportion. The thick cut fries were well above average. I prefer when I can tell that my fries were actually a potato once, so they worked great for me. The radicchio salad was...wait for it...radicchio-lously tasty! There were so many flavors involved that it felt like there were three different bites in each forkful. They have a great beer selection, including lots of ciders and sours (which I don't drink, but, ya' know, for those that do...). They're always super busy, but the staff is always attentive, polite and professional. The photo here does no justice to anything, but I took it, so there it is.

Yelp
I have lived in Fairmount for 6 years now, but I somehow missed this great neighborhood bar that's only a couple of blocks from me. The atmosphere is great, and the food is amazing as well! The cheeseburger is one of the best I've had in Philly. I'm not a huge fan of thick cut fries, but these were pretty great. I will most definitely be back!

Yelp
I have been to Bad Brother several times and it is definitely one of my favorite neighborhood spots. I took my parents & brother here for a late dinner and everyone raved about their meal. My brother was so excited to see that they had the Blitz game upstairs. Our server was lovely and the vibes were low key and cozy. Looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Small and quaint corner neighborhood bar in Fairmount! The service is spot on, the staff are friendly and the food is off the charts! A hidden gem and absolutely worth a visit or six!

Yelp
Fantastic all around! Love the vibe of elevated neighborhood bar. Wonderful beer, really superb burger and fries, and the cauliflower was delicious. Service was fast and helpful and amazingly friendly. Packed bar by 6 is the only issue...make a reservation and get there early.

Yelp
Overall solid spot with great ambiance, great cocktails, and good food. Great for a date night or a cozy bar scene.

Yelp
Pork Tenderloin: tender, flavorful, and delicious. Salad: fresh, fabulous use of ricotta Unequivocally positive review. Beer: ice cold and distinct flavor (Excellent) Service: helpful, knowledgeable and very patient (not rushed.) Food delivery: notably efficient and fast

Yelp
This restaurant is located in my neighborhood and I saw great reviews about it and have been wanting to try it. We made a reservation Friday afternoon but it wasn't as busy as we thought. I ordered the roasted chicken breast which is served with mashed chickpeas, yogurt, some greens, and trumpet mushroom. It was good but I thought the mashed chickpeas ... which I guess is technically just hummus - was overly flavorful, paired with the equally flavorful chicken. The combination was too salty/rich for me. I almost wished the mashed chickpeas was mashed potatoes instead - to neutralize the taste. The mushroom was delicious. I don't think I would get this dish again. Their have dishes that are permanent on the menu (buffalo wings, burger, sausage roll) but the 3-4 entrees at the end of the menu rotates. The dish I got was a seasonal dish. We also tried the carangi rustic bread with honey butter ... so delicious! My friend got a grilled cheese with some drinks from HH. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. I would love to come back again to try other items.

Yelp
Philly Mag infamously claimed in 2020 that Philly has no good buffalo wings, but Bad Brother singlehandedly puts the city back on the map with its sriracha buffalo wings. Served with a wonderfully savory bonito ranch and pickled radish (?) sticks, these wings deliver big with the crunch and the perfect balance of spicy, sweet, and savory. I also ordered one of the best sours I've ever had (Abuela's Breakfast from Tripping Animals Brewing Co.) - the beer selection is top notch. My dining partner and I both gravitated towards the sausage roll - and had slightly different reactions. He loved the intense flavor of the chorizo and the massive amount of meat, calling it the perfect elevated bar food. I personally would have actually preferred more poblano (or other charred peppers) and slightly less meat, as I found the level of flavor and spice in such a large quantity of meat overwhelming. The roll is HUGE - when they brought it out, I thought at first that we'd both accidentally ordered the jumbo roll, and we both has leftovers for breakfast the next day. The atmosphere was great - a nice neighborhood bar with friendly and fairly quick service. We would definitely come back, if just for those wings. (Next time, we're definitely upping the order - we both wanted more! It also looks like the beer selection changes fairly often, and though the menu was on the smaller side, there were at least a few other items I wanted to try!

Yelp
There is nothing bad about Bad Brother. The food is amazing. The beer selection is diverse. The staff is nice. The space is cool. The experience is memorable. The food menu is small, but everything on there is creative and full of flavor. The sausage roll is a must-try. Instead of using a whole sausage, the sausage is cut up and overflowing from the roll so that you are guaranteed sausage in every bite. The poblano gives it a subtle little kick, and the queso ties all of the components together. The roll is very filling, and I recommend splitting it been two people. Do not go for the jumbo version of the sausage roll unless you are sharing with a few people or are looking for a food challenge. The menu changes frequently, but there are a few signature items on there such as the sausage roll, Carangi rustic bread, and wings. The Carangi rustic bread with honey butter and sea salt is a great appetizer. The wings are delicious. They are meaty and perfectly fried with just the right amount of breading to give a nice crunch. I recommend getting the wings naked with all of the sauces on the side. The siracha sauce is the best, but it is nice to try all of the sauces. Regardless of what you order, you are bound to enjoy it. Everything is thoughtfully made and tastes delicious. The drink menu is super long. There are so many beer options from so many different breweries. There are also some wines and cocktails too. If you like craft beer, you are getting the best of both world with good beer and great food. The restaurant is a small space. From the outside, it blends in with the homes in the area and is very easy to miss. The inside is a bar area on one side and a small dining area on the other side. It is an intimate space decorated with hip local artwork. With the location, ambiance, and how friendly and personable the staff are, it almost feels like you are coming over to a cool person's home for dinner. Bad Brother is a restaurant that you need to put on your list to visit. There are plenty of great restaurants out there, but Bad Brother gives you a unique experience. There is so much creativity, and the food is thoughtfully executed in a way where all of the flavors and textures perfectly compliment each other. The vibe is hip, but it is unpretentious and welcoming. I have been to Bad Brother twice, and each time was great. I look forward to coming back again to get a sausage roll and to try whatever else is on the menu.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
Came for the touted chorizo sausage roll. Cool barman dropped me praises for the food pick. Love that. The sausage roll is indeed on point. Chorizo and smooth queso overflow in a basic but satisfying blend. The bread was soft and chewy with just enough body. The sausage was firm but not overcooked. Massive flavor there. This is just a great hoagie/roll/sandwich.
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
They serve the classic bar food like salad and cheeseburger, but it's so amazing because everything tastes fresh, juicy, and have complex but balanced flavors

Yelp
The food is fantastic and original. You can tell they make food they like to eat and I really appreciate that. It is definitely a little pricey in comparison with other restaurants in the neighborhood but you're paying for quality. The bar staff was super awesome too. Great spot if you can get in !

Yelp
Popped in for dinner on NYE since it's walking distance from your place. Bartenders are rad, we had a great time and ended up staying 2.5 hours. Good and cocktail menus are short and sweet and they rotate pretty frequently. We ordered the broccoli cheddar truffle soup (chunks of cheddar and charred broccoli omg), bread and honey butter (perfect), steak with tarragon au jus (one of the best steaks of my life), and the pear and ricotta donuts (cherry on top of an amazing meal). Drink selection has something for everyone, I liked the Low and Slow Whiskey Sunshine and Coco Haze. Will def be back soon, the guy next to us ordered the sausage roll which I have to try next.

Leonard O.

Yelp
Still the BEST local spot in Philly and the menu keeps getting even better! Will always continue to come here when I come back to the area.

Yelp
Happy to finally bit the bullet and try it here after my brother's recommendation. Came here in a group of 4 people and enjoyed the Pasta, Marinara, and Salad. Cool place!

Yelp
Had a wonderful evening at Bad Brother! My son and I sat outside, there are just a few outside tables so I was surprised to get such great service! Our waiter was attentive, gave excellent recommendations and knew the menu well! My son had the sriracha wings, wedge fries and had the pork tenderloin special with cherry glaze. Everything was delicious! The wings were spicy and also had good flavor. The fries were prepared perfectly, crisp outside, creamy/ soft inside. That pork tenderloin! Cooked to perfection, cherry glaze was fabulous, the tomatoes and sugar snap peas were tasty complements. I have to admit, I avoided the mushrooms but I am sure if that is your kind of thing you would have enjoyed them too! I had an old fashioned with sassafras, delightful! We finished with the donut of the day! We left no crumbs! Strawberry doughnuts, orange cream on the side. They were warm and perfectly prepared. I am thinking of when I can come back and try so more doughnuts!

Yelp
Great drink spot with lots of food options. We got chips and salsa as a pre dinner snack and some drinks. Loved the vibe so much we hit it up after dinner too. If I lived in Philly this would be a spot I would frequent.

Yelp
Great selection of dry cider, the best I've seen since living in Philly. Food is a bit pricy, but it was delish. Ambiance was nice, I'd definitely go back. Was crowded on a Saturday, good thing we made a rez for a table.

Yelp
In town for work, and I found a hotel near the art museum, and found my way here for dinner on a Monday night. This is exactly the type of place. I want to find when I travel for work - friendly, neighborhood dive bar with excellent food and service. For a Monday night, they were pretty darn crowded... The bartender told me that they fill up every single night, and they suggest making reservations to sit in the dining room. I was able to find a seat at the bar (1st come first served) and really enjoyed the lamb meatloaf sandwich, and a beer.

Yelp
My wife and I have walked by this place several times and finally ended up going for dinner. We were blown away. The vibe was super chill, the service was friendly, and the food was out of this world. The sausage roll is to die for; I'll probably get it every time I go. I also highly recommend the wings! They also make fantastic cocktails; try the mezcal Negroni! Couldn't possibly recommend this place highly enough; it's going to be on our list of places to go to regularly.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Service was good They add gratuity to the check. When I asked if I could leave a cash tip I was told no. Honestly, I said a few explicatives. Told the bartender that was bullshit. I apologized more than once for my choice of words. On my way out of the bathroom I got pulled over by the bar manager. he had many choice words for me. Said that it was his family's choice to add the tip to the check. I apologized several more times but left there wondering Why he feels the need to skim the servers tips? This will definitely make me reconsider returning.

Yelp
Does it get any better than this? No it doesn't. Bad Brother has left me speechless! The food was impeccable. We got the sriracha wings, the burger, and the award winning sausage roll. Not a single one disappointed. The quality of food is obviously held to a high standard and every bite was bursting with flavor. The service was also amazing (shout out Rebecca). I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I'd say this is exactly what is meant when folks use the term "neighborhood gem." I was looking for a place with outdoor seating and decided to give Bad Brother. None of us had been before, so it was a shot in the dark. I made a reservation online to be sure we could sit outside. I arrived and saw that it was small place with just 3 or 4 outside tables. I went inside to check in with the host and came upon an old-school, horsehoe-shaped bar with stools. Not what I was expecting based on their website, but it was cool. Four of us sat at at a table on the little alley street outside. Cocktails were good, and I got a Basque-style cider that was great. We shared a cheese plate and bread, which were all delicious. The server walked us through the cheese plate so we knew what we were eating. That may seem like restaurant hospitality 101, but after seeing the super-casual bar inside I didn't expect such attentive service. Food was great. I got a "Lancaster County stew" with wheatberries and fresh vegetables. The mushrooms in it were meaty and flavorful. I shared with my companions and we agreed it was the best dish of the night. Husband's fish and chips were good--especially the chips. Those were thick-cut wedges of fresh potato and were so, so good. The salad with beets was also excellent. And, yes, we got dessert. We got one order of donuts to share. It was actually several donut "holes" filled with deliciousness: peach jam and ricotta. It was the perfect ending to a really, really good meal. I'd go back.

Yelp
This place looks sketchy initially but the food was excellent. Best wings we have ever had.

Yelp
Do not miss this neighborhood favorite deep in Fairmount. I have walked by it many times without even knowing it was there. To the passerby, this place looks like a easily skipped dive bar but those two do stop in will be rewarded. Although it was getting chilly, we decided to sit outside and I am glad we did. There isn't much sidewalk space but the foot traffic in this part of the nieghborhoof is light so it works well. This is a great place to spend time at all hours of the evening or night. We started with their Carangi Rustic bread that comes with this awesome salted honey butter. It's only $5 and is a very amplified version of table bread. I also started with a Caesar Salad (off the kids menu) that would be enough for a meal if you add chicken. The dressing was great and the croutons were perfectly toasted. For dinner, I decided to go with the Siracha Wing that came with some sort of Cucumber/Dill Ranch. I had read reviews saying they were fried perfectly - crispy of the outside with meat that falls of the bones, I certainly found this to be true. I would recommend these if you are just eating here once. They are a must-try. My friend got the infamous $15 Sausage Sandwich that came with thick cut fries. I only tried a little, but from what I tasted it was unbelievable. For only $15 this is a ton of food. I am happy Bad Brother survived Covid and I am thrilled to live so close to this place. Their menu appeared to have changed from just a few weeks ago and I am excited to see what they have in store. Our meal cost $57 before tip - which is not cheap but certainly reasonable considering but was dinner in the city. We also go two drinks. Definitely do yourself a favor and make the trip (struggle to find parking) and try this place. They also do take out, which I hope to try soon. Well done, Bad Brother!

Yelp
Sausage roll, mixed green salad with chicken and fries were 10/10! Service was also great, zero complaints here. Want to go back to try more of the food asap.
