"There are three types of ice cream venues, and Bad Habit in the East Village doesn’t fit snugly into any of the usual categories. It’s not an ice cream truck, and it’s not a walk-up counter with a small handful of flavors. It’s almost a full ice cream parlor—except it only has a few barstools, and it also used to be a wine bar with small plates. That means you can still get a glass of wine here, in addition to scoops of their deliciously dense, constantly rotating ice cream flavors, like burnt cheesecake or gianduja hazelnut crunch. They have special sundae collabs and ice cream sandwiches too, as well as a rich hot chocolate affogato with cocoa that’s thicker and more viscous than your average motor oil, and will turbocharge the engines of your soul. photo credit: Alex Staniloff" - Will Hartman
"Bad Habit is a cocktail bar in Logan Square that’s perfect for a drink before or after a show at Concord Music Hall. The dimly lit space is open late every night, and has plenty of tables and bar seats where you can drink beer and some tasty cocktails. We particularly like the Lustful Paloma, with mezcal, tequila, aloe vera liqueur, and pineapple chili. There’s also a surprisingly long dinner menu with hit-or-miss food, like the smash burger. It comes with patties that are decidedly not smashed, a thick slice of tomato, and a dry bun that you’d expect to find at an airport food court. But if you live in the area, or are catching a show next door, this is a solid choice for drinks." - Veda Kilaru
"New cocktail bar and restaurant Bad Habit opened on Monday, April 17 at 2047 N. Milwaukee Avenue in the same building as the Concord Music Hall. Moody, low-lit, and industrial, the bar features cocktails like the Proud Judas and a food menu of tacos, smash burgers, and grilled steak sandwiches." - Naomi Waxman
