All the Food To Look Forward to at Pioneer Place’s New Food Hall - Eater Portland

"This Mexican and Puerto Rican counter will have everything from rotisserie chicken tacos to Sonoran hot dogs. But in a town that loves a colossal burrito, Bad Hombres’ one-pound monstrosities will likely attract hoards." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Better than typical Mexican mall food. I had the carne asada taco plate and at first I was impressed with the taste. However, as I thought about it, I realized all the flavor came from the special sauce and the cheese, rather than the meat. The beans were great though, rice was plain.

Best torta I've had in oregon. I will definitely keep on coming back to try other foods. Everything in this store is clean and is perfect.

To say that the food at Bad Hombres is terrific is an understatement. I’m literally blown away at the quality of this place. I had the steak / chicken tacos with rice and beans. I’m not sure how they turned a normally basic food into an exuberant ride of flavor. I come to Portland for business a lot, this is definitely somewhere I’ll be stopping every time in in the city.

This place is inside Pioneer Square Mall. I was hungry and didn't want to do the same old soup and sandwiches the other places in the food court had, so I tried Bad Hombres. It's a grill and I will say the food is really good. You get all kinds of burritos, tacos, nachos, etc on the menu, and we had the chicken burrito and dirty fries, which weren't what I expected! Burrito was big enough to share, full of so-so ingredients (not much cheese), and had good flavor. The star was the dirty fries! It had big wedges of potatoes, chicharrones (fried port skins), slow cooked pulled pork, queso fresco cheeae, and a nice sauce. It was amazing, unique, and an explosion of flavors unlike any fries I've had anywhere! If you're in Pioneer Square, check out Bad Hombres! Get the dirty fries if youre feeling adventurous.

Great spot for a quick bite at lunch. Friendly staff. The yucca fries are a great alternative to potatoes. I only have them four stars because I've only visited one. Great experience on my first visit.

I ordered the Sonora Salad with chicken from a very sour , unfriendy and rude cashier/server. The salad seemed like it had been sitting in its plastic container in a refrigerator for a few months . Salad was soggy and wilted. $3 for 1/3 c. of rice... all served in a paper to go box with flimsy plastic forks.

First Mexican Restaurant I have been to that didn't have a sauce bar. Cook handling food with bare hands. Chicken Burrito was actually a rice burrito. Was so hoping for better. Mark this post....this place wont last.

We went in expecting traditional Mexican food and this was anything but that...... we were blown away by how tender the meats were and how attentive the employees were to our wants & needs.... if you're looking for something different with amazing flavor this is definitely the spot to explore new flavors and textures....
