"Bae Coffee Company, founded by Alicia Zyburt and Devon Owens, is set to open in the former Pastoral space in Lakeview. The cafe will feature a 'millennial pink' aesthetic and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, pastries, and eventually food specials. The couple started Bae Coffee during the pandemic and have been roasting beans in small batches at Brewpoint Coffee in Elmhurst. Awesome local owned business, owned and operated by a sweet duo. Friendly customer service, helpful recommendations (I got the peppermint mocha), and great atmosphere. It’s pink and fun, loud enough that you can’t hear other conversations in the shop, and a great menu with a variety of drinks and food! Would make a super cute date spot!

My favorite coffee spot! The espresso here is so so so good, and reliably made. Their bread and pastries are devine and I'm a bit picky. Great energy and music, more a chatty spot to meetup or talk w the owners (who are very friendly) or place to put in headphones and get lost reading. 🤘🤩

First visit I got an iced latte with almond milk, and it was very good! Tasted like high quality beans & a well-pulled/balanced shot, probably one of the best in the area. The pink straws are cute, and seem to be paper/potentially biodegradable. Vibes are small, neighborhood shop with a deep love of coffee. Only negative was I felt spoken down to by the barista, and noticed a similar trend with other interactions they had with customers. I think they had good intentions though, and it could have just been something else in their day.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city and definitely my favorite on the north side. Bae always gets every drink right and it's clear that they are true coffee lovers. The space is also adorable with a lovely pink theme, fresh flowers, and even fresher beats. It always makes you want to stick around even after you've finished your drink. I highly recommend the espresso tonic as it gives fancy downtown bar without the price tag. It's my go to drink. The seasonal options are always a treat too. Hit this place up, you won't be disappointed.

Bae is our favorite coffee shop in Chicago! I’m not a huge coffee girl, so I love to see so many tea & tea latte options on the menu! The disco tea was amazing I highly recommend. My husband loves coffee and says that Bae serves the best of the best! The pastries are delicious as well, staff is incredibly friendly and kind, and the aesthetic is beautiful to take pictures and relax in the city. 💕✨

I’m a frequent traveler to Chicago and coffee at Bae is always the highlight of my trip. Devon the owner is a (former?) chef and a coffee guru. You can feel it in everything you order. Go for the house-roasted coffee; stay for the baguette with house-made seasonal compote and honey butter. Wednesdays suck because that’s when they’re closed.

Very cute boutique coffee house. I finally had a chance to stop by here while walking my dog and chose an iced oat milk latte with a combination of lavender and vanilla syrup. The drink came out fast and extremely delicious tasting the first time around. I don't like bitter tasting coffee drinks so I'm grateful to the barrista for delivering me a sweet treat without me having to over explain what I'm seeking.
