I have thought long and hard about this review. I think that Bae Coffee stop is right in the middle of a four star and three start review. If half or three quarter stars in a review where possible, this review would employ them. You should also realize that I visited here on their opening weekend, so that could have impacted some aspects of my visit and experience. First the positives. I am always happy when a new independent coffee shop opens, especially in this area. I used to live near here for several years, and it is surprising that there are not many independent coffee opens in their immediate area. Bae Coffee is a Breath of fresh air. Second, their coffee is good, but not better than the next independent coffee shop. I ordered a hot oat milk latte. I enjoy it. The coffee had a good taste and the oak milk made for a creamy latte.
Now for the negatives. First, It's expensive, even on the scale of an independent coffee shop. For my 12 oz hot oat milk latte I paid around $6.60. Compare that with a 16 oz hot oat milk latte I got at Hexe Coffee a few weeks later for about $5.50. I got more of the same quality latte at over a dollar less at Hexe. Second, the interior needs a small bit of work. The Pink color aside (not my favorite color, but not a deal breaker), the interior is nice, but lacks a bit of something to make it sing. To be fair, I went on opening weekend, and all new businesses, including this one, need time to refine their presentation.
Overall, this a good coffee shop worth supporting and buying coffee from. If you are in the area, it's a good option, it's not worth traveling here if there is a independent coffee shop with better value in your area.
