Went there on Sunday night with my family for dinner. They are really busy so parking was full but if you wait little bit you can find one. Inside was less smoke than the other Korean bbq place. Food is excellent server while grilled the beef from the plate the beef marinated sauce was dripping in our other food. They need to be careful about this. The good thing about they cook for you. Service was okay Food was excellent. Atmosphere very crowded. They have a combo for $187 we ordered this one. Was good for 4 people..

Had a really good experience at Baekjeong. The food was great like always, but the service really stood out this time. Nathan was one of our servers and he was super friendly and helpful. He made sure the grill was good and checked on us without being too much. The other guys working were really attentive too, always refilling sides and changing the grill fast. Overall just a really smooth and fun dinner. Definitely coming back.

I absolutely love Baekjeong! As a south bay local, this is definitely a spot I frequent to and for good reason. The food is top notch with amazing quality beefs (our favorite) and unlimited side dishes. The service is also fantastic! Multiple servers help cook so we don't have to lift a finger. This is great because me and my friends can focus on eating and drinking without worrying about burning the meat! Most recently, Chris was our server and he was exceptional. Very attentive and it's like he almost read our minds and got us everything we needed before we even asked. He cooked everything to perfection and had amazing recommendations. I love to go during lunch time weekdays with my coworkers because they are super on top of things and not too busy, but dinner is also great because it's very lively with surprisingly not long waits. Will definitely come back!

The service is brilliant. Chris helped us cook and served us with amazing service. The meats were okay and the side dishes too. I think they were a bit ok the sweet side and it kind of merged the flavors together than being more distinctive sides and meats. Great price for what you get though.

Amazing service from Nikolai and Jeremy at Baekjeong KBBQ. They was attentive, friendly, and really knew what they was doing. Nikolai and Jeremy helped us with the grilling, checked in at the perfect times, and made sure everything came out cooked just right. They also gave great recommendations and made the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Easily one of the best servers I’ve had at a KBBQ spot. They definitely made the meal even better. Will be coming back for sure.

Non marinated short ribs were my fave. So tender. Side dishes were all very good but the tofu was my fave. They cut it and cook it for you in Cali so that was nice. Soybean paste soup had a very good flavor. Pork was also very tender and very tasty. Never was a huge fan of corn with cheese so didn't care for that but that's my just me. One of my fave k bbq's in CA. They're busy enough that they don't take reservations so I recommend just going early for dinner then there's no wait. We went around 4:30pm and was seated right away.

Julian was our server tonight and we were very well taken care of! He was cooking the meats and moving between tables so effortlessly. The food was great quality. Came in on a Sunday evening for two and waited less than 5 minutes. They have fans that drop down over the meats so you’re not going home smelling too much like the meat! Music is fun. Would definitely come back. Again thank you again Julian for the excellent service and smiles!

Went on a Saturday night and it was great! Our server was Nikolai and he grilled all our meats, everything was cooked perfectly. Jeremy also helped our table out and he was super helpful and accommodating. The meat quality itself was really good. Our favorite was the boneless short rib. Will definitely be back!

I recently tried Baekjeong at the recommendation from my friend. I am from out of state, so this was definitely an experience that exceeded my expectations. It was a very busy Tuesday night but they sat me ahead of my quote time. The meat quality was super great and the short rib was very tender. The restaurant is very spacious and they also decorated for the holidays which I thought was nice. The best part was that they cook for you which I've never experienced before at a kbbq! My server Kendrick somehow managed to cook my short rib a perfect medium rare while serving others. Next time I'm in town, I'm coming here and asking for him!

Good food, great vibes, and fast service! The meat was cooked to perfection. We especially appreciated how quickly they replaced our banchan. Huge shoutout to our server Andrew--he was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be coming back!

Great meat. Not much more i can say. You wont be disappointed by this place. Their menu is massive and ive never had a dish that I disliked. Their egg and corn sides are amazing too. Can be a bit loud, but the good service more than makes up for it. (They cook for you). Definitely can be more expensive than AYCE but worth it!

Leo, our server, did not cook our food or provide much help at our table. If I wanted to cook my own Korean BBQ, I would have gone to an AYCE place like Gen. The food itself was good, but the portions were not plentiful. The two stars are for the overall experience. It's not really a family-friendly place--more of a spot to meet up with friends. We informed the front counter employees, who gave us the name of the server. Other servers seemed attentive, and the table next to us had their food cooked for them. We won't be going back.

We haven't had Korean bbq in months! And when we crave it, we go here. The food here is always amazing--consistent every single time. My favorite is the steamed egg: I eat that all by myself. Hahah our favorite is the ribeye and brisket. We also love the pork belly but this time we didn't order that because we really don't eat a lot like we use to. We were seated right in the center where I wanted. One thing about me is that I like to sit where I can face who enters the establishment I'm in. Lol I love that when we dine here, we don't leave smelling like Korean BBQ (and I usually hate that smell!), so that's a huge plus. Ashley, our waitress, was fantastic--super attentive and kind. Andrew, provided the same great service which made our experience more pleasant: Always a great experience here!

Trying this beakjeong after eating in NY is slightly different. The set menu for 2 people actually filled us up, but we got the spicy pork belly as well. Good thing they allow take out. The waiters cook for you and if they're not too busy they're very attentive. The only negative thing is that it's pretty pricey. It was not too crowded when we went but we went early in the evening. What really helped is the Amex resy credit which offsets your bill by 100! Don't forget to use it!

Came here for Korean BBQ some months ago and it was solid - got the job done. It was easy to find a table for 3 on a Friday night at around 7-8pm. Korean BBQ mostly seems to be better on the west coast, and that's because of the unbeatable price point (it's like half of what it is in NYC) and the fact that they have thinly sliced radish and rice flour skin to pair with the meat instead of lettuce. This is all true here, though as far as other KBBQ i've had in LA it was just solid. Would return, especially in a pinch, and the service was attentive, on time, and great, and had an enjoyable experience. The banchan was standard too, and the ventilation was good as we didn't leave feeling like our clothes were super smoky after. If you are in the area, definitely check this spot out!

Prices have risen since we were last here but the large beef combo was still enough to feed four of us. They had a special menu to coincide with the Seventeen World Tour that weekend. However they were individual portions. The ban chan varieties changed slightly this time and our favorites were the tofu, pickled cucumbers and Kim chee. We still got as many refills as requested. The Kim chee stew was our choice with the combo and was packed with Kim chee, pork belly, and rice cakes. Staff rotated from table to table grilling our meats and typically cooked it to a medium to medium well. Brisket and boneless short ribs were the best choices for us. We rolled out of there and didn't smell too much like barbecue this time! Overall service was good and responsive.

I came in to try their lunch special and went with the Bulgogi combo. It came with banchan and a choice of either Soybean or Kimchi Soup; I chose the Kimchi Soup. The Bulgogi was cooked for me, which I appreciated, but it wasn't as flavorful or juicy as I expected. It might have been overcooked, as it was a bit dry. Definitely had better bulgogi elsewhere. The banchan was solid overall--most of the side dishes were tasty, though the macaroni salad was a bit plain. The Kimchi Soup was the highlight; it had a great depth of flavor, but the pork it came with was pretty fatty. Service was friendly and attentive. I was seated right away, and they checked in on me periodically, even providing a jug of water so I didn't run out. They have other menu items I'd be interested in trying, but for the price, I don't think I'd order the Bulgogi combo again.

Everything went well. We have been coming here since this place opened and it's a favorite spot. Servers Julian and Ashley really made it an awesome experience. The meats are of quality and the quantity was enough not to over eat. Clean place awesome music, AC working to keep you cool while eating. Today Lunch goals achieved!

The service we recieved here was horrible. We asked the waiter multiple times for extra sides and they just never came. The quality of meat was good, but service ruined our time here.

My family and I went for a weekend lunch at Baekjeong, and we had a great time. A big shout out to Ashley and Dana for their wonderful, attentive service. They were so kind, brought everything we asked/needed in a timely manner, and was really helpful when we had to decide where to sit with a baby and a stroller. For meat, we had the large beef combo, an order of pork belly, and an order of marinated beef ribs (kalbi). I personally prefer their beef selection over pork, and the beef combo was a good deal to feed a family. We also ordered the seafood pancake for appetizer, and the portion size was large and the crispiness of the shredded potato on the bottom was delicious.

Baekjeong never disappoints! One of my favorite KBBQ restaurants when I'm willing to splurge. It's definitely on the pricier side and not AYCE, but I promise you'll leave feeling more than satisfied with your decision to dine here. The meat is such high quality, and the atmosphere is lively and fun. The servers help cook the food for you, and the pacing is perfect -- you never feel rushed or overwhelmed. It's a great spot to hang out with friends and catch up over some seriously delicious food. I've been coming here for years and will continue to come back as a regular. Always a 10/10 -- do yourself a favor and eat here!

My friend took me out to eat here this week. It's one of my favorite restaurants, but I also missed it so much when the ktown location closed (but luckily they reopened again recently). Whenever anyone used to ask me for a Korean bbq recommendation, I used to say there's nowhere else worth going than to the original Baekjeong, but when they closed, things were a bit grim for a while until Pigya opened up. While Pigya quickly became my absolute favorite Korean bbq restaurant in the absence of a local Baekjeong, it still is right up there at the top. Like the margins between the two restaurants is a matter of inches. For Torrance, however, I would say this is the best Korean bbq restaurant you will find in the area. We got the marinated combo, which I never had before. While I'm not normally a fan of bulgogi, I was actually impressed by it. And then even more so by the pork bulgogi. They cook those two items in the back. For the meats they cook at the table, they had an amazing prime beef belly that just goes so well with the sauce they have. Next to last, the Seasoned Prime Boneless Short Rib came out, which has the perfect seasoning. Then the marinated pork collar it ended with was just ok. I'm happy with my meal and so glad I could enjoy a favorite restaurant I've gone to for years. The service was super attentive, they cook for you and the ambiance is nice due to how much space the venue has. A perfect place to go to in Torrance for sure!

Soju is $16. The corn cheese was delicious. This was my first time here so my friends told me it must have been an off night for them because service took a little long. The meat was good but I think I prefer to cook the meat myself rather than waiting for the staff to come to our table to cook it. It is nice that they can cook it well and cut it for you though. I like that you can take any food you don't finish togo.

Went to Baekjeong Korean BBQ and had a really good experience. We ordered the combo that feeds four, with a mix of brisket, short ribs, pork belly, and more -- everything was perfect and super satisfying. The food was flavorful and came out fresh. Even though it was busy, the customer service was still good and attentive. We were a walk-in on a Saturday night and waited less than 20 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Fun, energetic vibe overall and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

This is a popular bbq place and it was pretty decent. I think the meat combos are simple and the side dishes are okay. I think that's the issue. Everything was sort of ok. The brisket was good but the marinated short rib was too sweet. The servers were friendly even though it was super busy.

This is the best KBBQ. It is rather mediocre in my opinion as I have had much better quality and selections at their long time competitor in Gardena. Food is okay, service okay, quality is fair, ambiance is not to my liking. Seating has you almost attached to the next customer. They are arranged way too close for privacy. I will not be back to this place.

Dined in again with family from out of town and I've gotta say it must've been even better than last time. The brisket was soooo tasty. Braelyn and Jeremy were so kind taking care of us. The place was packed and we didn't even have to wait that long. Music was so fun! Will be back again!!

Bad service. We arrived at 5:43pm and it's been only 40 minutes. Tables were not even full, no waiting outside. They treated us like 'leave plz'. One guy came up and asked "need more meat?" and I said "we are good." He brought a check while still eating. Not friendly, need more training. The one who served my table, she doesn't know how to cook. Not coming back. NOT FEELING WELCOMED.

Came here with my wife on Christmas Day. Everything was good. From the staff being friendly, do prompt service, and the food being delicious. Most def come again.

So I finally get to try this place. I've been wanting to see what all the hype is or is it legit with the quality of their food. The sides were great. The cuts of the meat was melt in your mouth delicious. We only had to wait for 15 minutes in comparison to the long wait I have heard about in their other locations such as the one in the Bay Area. I feel bad (I forgot his name, Nathan/ Ethan) helped cooked the various meats for us. He was pleasant and attentive. He made sure to ask how we wanted the food cooked. He even gave us a refill of the cheesy corn. Thanks for the great service and food for our first New Year's in Torrance. We enjoyed our meal and our stomaches are full.

Me and my family came to this restaurant after christmas shopping at the mall and it exceeded our expectations. There was a small wait but we were seated faster than what they said which was great because my son was hangry! We got a beef combo, i think the large which was perfect for my family of 4. I'm sad they dont have any seafood or shrimp to grill but our server recommended a seafood pancake and that was crispy and delicious! They were very generous with the side dishes and refills and i enjoy that they cook everything to youre liking right at the table.

Great spot for friends, soju, and good meat Because it's not AYCE, you really get to sit back and relax as you let them grill quality meats perfectly. Not only was the volume of music appropriate for decent convo, the pace and friendliness of staff makes this place a W for the area. The beef package gives you egg and corn cheese on the side, as well as a soup. For a group of four we were thoroughly full by the end of the meal. I recommend the soybean paste.

I just came here and I left prior to coming inside the restaurant that we got a smell of hot garbage and vomit and something very unusual outside of the restaurant that made me feel kind of uncomfortable like as if there's rotting something rotting nearby. but regardless the whole attitude, everybody needs to be retrained here whoever works at the store you as an owner whoever the owner is needs to read my review. Your staff fucking sucks. Their attitude fucking sucks. It's like kiss my ass you're lucky to be in this restaurant and you know what we vote with our dollar if I give you one of my dollars and you treat me like shit I'm the reason why you're sticking around so tonight I win I said I'm not gonna fucking eat here tonight because the fucking staff sucks even your hostess sucks. They're fucking rude and different. They don't care about their jobs. They don't care about helping you, the whole experience is like horrible. I feel like I'm like I have to beg for service fuck that i'm paying you a premium to make you make me feel like I'm having an experience so guess what you guys lost money tonight over $150 I'm taking that to another restaurant that treats me right you need to fucking retrain your people man they all fucking suck everybody's so miserable here. I don't know if it's because the management sucks ass. The pay sucks ass. I don't know what it is whatever your problem is as a company you need to fix your fucking problem fix your staff man that just fucking ruins a whole effect I don't care how good your food Is. This restaurant is worth less if you're gonna treat people like shit you should charge them half off because you're gonna give them the worst experience possible this fucking Korean barbecue should be charging $40 because the experience is like worth less than 40 bucks honestly

Wow besides terrible customer service feom Hostess and servers that don't speak to you while they cook your food, makes no sense! Let's talk about the problem in the bathroom, as someone who is in real estate the smell in the bathroom is very unhealthy that place should be closed. They had an air filter, smelled so bad I couldn't even stand it, or breathe. Not safe or healthy for anyone to be there. Don't come, if the bathroom smells that bad who knows what is really going on or hiding.

Food was super good as always I love the variety of sides they have. Our server Meghan was really nice and answered all of our questions as well as the other staff.

This place is amazing! Food and meat quality is top notch, service is amazing. I'm so glad they cook because my wife likes her stuff burnt and I don't and they cooked pieces of our rib eye perfect for the both of us. Shout out to my server Chris and Nathan, they really hooked it up with the cheese corn for my son. Will be back!

Great Korean BBQ! Very filling. They give unlimited and tons of side dishes, fried egg, and cheese corn. The meat is delicious and they cook it for you which is extremely helpful. I recommend the bean stew over the kimchi stew. They are very popular, but have tons of seating so the waits aren't bad. Highly recommend for high end KBBQ!

Braelyn was the best manager ever. She really took care of us and made sure that our table was clean and ready because I booked her reservation. Thank you so much Braylen you should be Director or Regional Director of all Baekjongs in California!!! She was so amazing!! The meat was so delicious and fresh! 10/10 stars would recommend!

This Korean BBQ? A little different--my kind of different. They cook it for you. No surprises there, just damn good. The banchan? Outrageously generous. Soup? Like a warm hug from someone who actually gives a damn. The meat? Fire. Word is, even BTS digs this place. Go.

Great food, service, and no wait today! Andrew did a great job serving us today. Made us laugh, and was very prompt and polite.

Got the L combo for 3 people and it was the perfect size. Meat was good quality- staff cooks for you. Tons of free sides, which were all delicious! (The egg and corn cheese are free refills too) Their table fans(?) work really well-- I always expect to smell like meat after Korean BBQ but I didn't really smell afterwards! Impressive.

I have a big family, and I wanted to celebrate my birthday with them at Baekjeong since they love eating here. Because we were a party of 10, I wanted to make a reservation. When I called to make a reservation, a staff member named Abby advised me that the restaurant doesn't take reservations. However, she suggested that we come right at opening time, which was what we ended up doing. We were seated right away by Ashley with our banchans and condiments already set on the table. In addition, a high chair was already provided for my toddler. We ordered the Beef Combo and the Hodong's Favorite Combo. I highly recommend the marinated pork steak. Leo and Ashley were very attentive towards me and my family. They were very nice, had great smiles, and overall made my birthday celebration very smooth and memorable.

There was a time where Baekjeong was five stars for me. At that time, I felt that they had quality over quantity and service was great. Unfortunately, I can't say that it is presently the same as it was. While I actually generally like the meats, I do feel that the brisket are less marbled, the quality of the banchan offerings has gone down, and service has been more disappointing. I do appreciate that they help you with cooking the meats. My issue is that in my preceding several visits, I felt like they were rushing to cook the meats in our combo meal. In my visit from last night, my issue was that our server/cook cooked the meats on high heat, which gave a beautiful sear, but then he would cut the heat immediately after cutting the meats with the scissors. The issue is that this caused the meat to be raw in the center. We would turn back the heat/fire to get it to at medium rare, but then the server would turn off the fire when he would make his rounds. The problem with this is that I felt that our server probably had too many tables to keep track of. Baekjeong was, at one time, a favorite place for me. At this time, I cannot say that this is the case.

I haven't been to this location and wow what great service!! First off , we barely had to wait since I came here on a Monday night for a party of 3. Secondly, our server Vincent was fantastic, he cooked the food for us and was nice with light conversation and he was on top of getting anything we needed! I haven't been to Baekjeong in a minute and this made me remember why I like them so much. The quality of meat and service here are top notch and worth every penny, can't wait to come back! Five star food AND service !! Had a great meal here with friends. Everything was so fire - brisket, short rib, pork jowl. The stand out was the beef tartare, definitely the best tartare I've ever tried with the sesame sauce and pears. What made the meal really special was the attentive servers and even the manager stopped by to check in on our table. Can't wait to come back !

The meat quality and banchan were soo good! I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a non-ayce kbbq. A couple notes though: They do have air filters to get the smoke from the grill but your clothes will still smell like food after. They have a yelp waitlist when you get there which is nice so you don't have to sit outside to wait!

A solid showing for the popular Korean chain restaurant located in Torrance. We went with the classic small beef combo. The brisket was just alright, but the other beef cuts were excellent and supremely tender and tasty. The service was quick and efficient. The price is well justified given the quality of the food, and although I prefer the ambiance of the other locations slightly more, this is purely a personal preference. A great stop for some high quality non-ayce korean BBQ!
