New York–born owner Charles Blonkenfeld started making bagels early in the pandemic and sold them at farmers markets before opening his shop in 2022, carefully adjusting the recipe for Phoenix’s high temps." - ByThe Bon Appétit Staff & Contributors

I got the 1/2 &1/2 spread on a plain bagel. I got the mixed berry cream cheese and lemon and herd cream cheese. Really love the lemon and herd it was light and lemony which I enjoyed the bagel was also good. My cousins also enjoyed what they order everything bagel with salmon spread.

Google
Olive oil, rosemary, orange bagel with lemon cream cheese! Bagelfeld’s knows how to make a bagel, let me tell you! Fresh, flavorful, perfect texture, good prices, friendly service, place was busy!

Google
Bagelfeld is a must-visit whether you're a bagel purist or just looking for something genuinely special. The bagels are perfectly chewy with a crisp exterior, clearly made with love and attention to detail. The schmears are next-level—everything from classic cream cheese to unique seasonal spreads. You can tell they care deeply about quality ingredients and thoughtful pairings. Beyond the food, the vibe is warm and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. You can feel the local love and community energy from the moment you walk up. Bagelfeld isn’t just a bagel shop—it’s a destination. Whether you're grabbing breakfast, picking up a dozen for the office, or just stopping by on a weekend morning, you won’t leave disappointed. Can’t recommend it enough!

Google
Their bagels are known for a crisp crust and chewy interior, reminiscent of classic New York-style bagels. Popular flavors like jalapeño cheddar, everything, and fennel raisin stand out. If you tried any unique options, you can highlight their taste and texture.

If Bagelfeld's has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Bagelfeld's has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Bagelfeld's has only one fan then that is me. If Bagelfeld's has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Bagelfeld's, then I am against the world. In my short-lived time living in Downtown Phoenix, this is one of those hidden gems that ALWAYS stepped up to the plate. The bagels and cream cheese are both homemade and made to PERFECTION. The service is awesome, always doing things with a smile on their faces. The only qualm I might have is the parking and size of the waiting area, but honestly, it just adds to the experience.

Google
Absolutely phenomenal bagels! Staff is friendly and helpful. I placed a large order for an event (60 bagels), they had my order ready when I arrived and helped me to my car. All of the attendees for the event loved the bagels. Also - the best cream cheese I’ve ever tasted!! Highly recommend the lemon & herb. Will absolutely be a regular stop for me in the morning.

Google
We absolutely loved Bagelfeld. The atmosphere is that of a bagel place in San Francisco or NYC. Their menu is very simple and they have 7 or 8 bagels with the same number of types of cream cheese varieties. Honestly some of the best bagels we’ve ever had. And they are definitely not light on the cream cheese! We will definitely be back! One thing to note though is that it’s a little hard to find. It’s behind the gym tucked into a corner. We had to drive around the block twice to find it.

Google
Read an article highlighting their bagels as some of the best in Phoenix, so I drove over at 8:45am on a Sunday. They had like 8 bagels left and closed the store as I was leaving. The bagels are good. Are they great? I don't think so but to each their own. I actually think Costco bagels are some of the best in town. Plus, they don't run out! If you want a large quantity (a dozen or more), you need to call in your order the day before. Don't show up thinking you can get any kind of bagel you want (unless you're a very early riser)

Yelp
best bagels and cream cheese in the state of Arizona. a little hidden off the street, but the crush of parked cars is a sure sign you've found it. plenty of spaces in the parking lot and in the surrounding neighborhood. nice staff, small menu. loyal customers. just get there early enough. wish there were more places like this in Phoenix. small, locally-owned. quality products.

David D.

Yelp
The bagels are fine -- probably some of the best in Phoenix for what it's worth, but you have to get here when they open if you want a selection. I got stuck with buying the last blueberry bagel today because the only other option was, ugh, salt. Also, the amount of cream cheese they put on it was disgusting -- I had to get home first so I could scoop half of it off. Maybe they could save money with a smaller cream cheese smear and use those resources to make more bagels? This was at 10:30... so they ended the day with some salt bagels. I've had Courage bagels, Maury's bagels, various "authentic" NY bagels -- these are *adjacent* in quality, but those places don't run out -- they have consistent lines when they are busy. Maybe they put too much focus on supplying to other vendors? They also sell a lot of merchandise. There is no reason they need a bagel zine and several bumper stickers. I'm not going to buy a tote bag when I can't even get a bagel flavor I want. Hopefully they can improve their DTC woes or other bagel makers will appear and help address the shitty bagel problem that's grappling the 5th largest city in the country. It would be cool if they had more options for customization, too -- I am never going to Stoop Kid to have a Bagelfelds bagel converted to a breakfast sandwich -- their customer service sucks. Congrats on your success, and it definitely says something when you're wildly busy for making a decent bagel: we need more of them in Phoenix.

Yelp
My friend told me about this place when I moved back to AZ. I live downtown so not too bad of a drive. The bagels are great and typically to take the load off of the demand, we will go to partnering spots to get a bagel instead. But we have been here quite a bit. No doubt the bagels are great. The owner is very kind, and typically the cashier is as well. However, today must have been an off day. I am usually the first to defend the complaints about them running out of bagels, or laugh along with their marketing sense of humor, but today was weird. My wife was confused about what she wanted and called me in the middle of checking out and I apologized. Cashier didn't respond. Didn't say much either. I am pretty sure it is the same girl that is always there: black and curly hair. She just seemed beyond irritated with me. That being said- maybe she had a bad morning? Anyway, bagels are pretty consistent- it was the first time the service was not. They make good additions to brunch. I cooked a brunch for a friend a month ago at my place and she seemed to enjoy them. If you don't want to get up early, you can head over to other local spots that carry their bagels!

Jenna A.

Yelp
Bagelfelds is of the few places I'd pay $5 for a single bagel and cream cheese. The pepper & garlic cream cheese is just delicious and they do not skimp on the portion. I love a good salt bagel and the jalapeño cheddar is worth mentioning as well. It'd be great if they offered espresso options but they do have cold brew and hot tea selections. The parking situation is definitely not ideal and apparently they do sell out quickly and early! I've gone before 9am on multiple visits and not had issues ordering what I want. It's also easy to miss - tucked back by an auto body shop off Thomas. They also sell their bagels to local restaurants such as a couple of the Fox Restaurant concepts.

Steve B.

Yelp
We saw this business on TikTok and just had to take a drive to see for ourselves what the hype was. If you blink you're going to miss it driving down Thomas road. Got there around 8am, small line outside to place your order inside. Loved how they had a pop up tent for shade and watering station to hydrate. We got 2 bagels with cream cheese and 1 plain. Tip- they don't toast bagels, but to heat them thru. Honestly I've not had a better bagel since I was visiting in New York / New Jersey area and their cream cheese was different, but in a good way. Will definitely be making another trip to order a dozen and cream cheese on the side since we like a light layer on our bagels.

Dominic K.

Yelp
Tiny hole in the wall that you'd miss even if you were staring right at it. They must be trying to keep this place a secret. easily the BEST bagel in Phoenix and we argued if it was the best ever. We tried the cheddar jalepeño with garlic pepper spread for more of the savory. This was light, sweet and spicy all at the same time. 9/10 We also had their very berry spread on a plain. Just a treat for breakfast! Real blueberries and raspberries hidden throughout. Staff are crazy busy but they are clearly trying to take care of everyone. Super friendly If you're a bagel person this is your next stop

Chloe S.

Yelp
The best. Kind staff, small menu, incredible food. Everything is good, you can't go wrong. Get there early for a full selection!

Nikole G.

Yelp
Yes! Yes! Yes! After seeing their signs over the past few months, today, due to The Place that rhymes with FineSpines, not having Lox anymore- I've finally stopped in. What a beautiful experience! The cashier was super sweet, the girl who gave me my bagel was kind as well! I'm a believer! I'll never go back to the other place! My bagel and lox was delicious and totally hit the spot!! Thanks for coming to central phoenix!!!

Melody K.

Yelp
Coming from living years in NYC, I've tasted every NYC bagel there is...LOL. Having lived in Phoenix for the past 15+ years, I finally found a Bagel shop that has caught my heart. My friend and I happened to be in this area early early, wanted to get a bite to eat. Finally got a chance to try Bagelfeld's. A nondescript looking building from the outside. It was about 9:45 a.m. on a Tuesday, only a few people waiting in line which was not bad at all. The service was excellent, very friendly. We ended up buying 5 bagels to go: Everything, Poppy and Salt bagels and an Everything Bagel with Salmon Cream Cheese. The Bagels were excellent, covered with seeds and salt, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. To note they do not have a toaster to toast bagels, but they were warm anyway. Plus I toasted a bagel the next morning and was as fresh as when I got it the day before. I would definitely make the trip to buy Bagels here again. Atmosphere: industrial bakery. Service: excellent. Food: bagels excellent.

Sam W.

Yelp
Really good bagels ! I tried multiple cream cheeses - plain, berry, brown butter and plain. The berry and plain are great! The brown butter one is sweet and the salmon cream cheese was so good! Definitely a hidden gem of a place.

Victoria L.

Yelp
Best bagels in the valley! Amazing selection and cream cheese flavors. I suggest ordering online the day prior, they run out fast! Ordered a pizza box for my team and it was very well received.

Kevin B.

Yelp
Decent bagel shop here. I got us some good onion flavoured bagels with cream cheese and all, and it was bomb. SOme of the best bagels in Phoenix. They have good coffee and Orange juice as well. Nice staff , and good place.

Philip D.

Yelp
I like a chewy bagel and have been to NYC and have had those. But I found these to be tough and not chewy. I prefer Chompies over these.

Kayla S.

Yelp
Second time we have been here and we love it! This time I got the salt bagel with lemon herb cream cheese and it was amazing! I love a bagel spot that doesn't skimp on the cream cheese. My husband got a bagel with the peppers and garlic cream cheese and it was also fantastic. Will definitely be coming back to this place! The line can get long sometimes however the service has been quick and friendly both times we have gone. Inside they have a list of locations they sell their product out of and have merch you can buy as well as cold brew on tap! We also go cold brew and it's pricey at $6 but very good.

Donna B.

Yelp
Amazing bagels!! I had a plain bagel with cream cheese, and it was delicious. There was a little bit of a wait, but it was very organized and worth waiting for. I can't wait to go back and try some other bagels, and other spreads. Excellent customer service!

Savannah R.

Yelp
Wonderful bagels! I enjoyed the blueberry cream cheese. The gentleman working the window was very kind as well and gave me suggestions.

Sophie K.

Yelp
One of the best bagel spots in the valley! It's located in such an unexpected spot, which makes this place even cooler. Plenty of parking spots, but expect to circle around on weekends. And this place is for to-go. I tried a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese, it was so good. I could taste the freshness of this bagel, and cream cheese flavor was superb! Can't wait to try their other bagels and cream cheese flavors!

Lauren T.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying this place because of all of the great reviews! First thing to note is that when they run out of bagels, they close. So you have to get there early or they might be closed when you arrive. The bagels were okay - small, slightly hard but had a ton of seasoning on it. I was underwhelmed by the cream cheese flavors. They only have 3 flavors and did not have an onion or chive one! Also, they don't have any kind of bacon or anything for the bagels. Just a few bagel flavors and cream cheese. Slightly over priced. 2 bagels and 2 coffees were $22. Probably wouldn't go again. The food wasn't bad, just wasn't worth the drive and definitely isn't a good New York bagel!

Dylan E.

Yelp
Do you respect the schmear? Because bagelfeld's does! Line was out the door but they moved through it quickly and in a friendly fashion. As expected they were sold out of a couple options, but still had everything bagels and jalapeño cheddar. Both of which were delicious and just the perfect way to start a day full of errands. Both bagels had more than enough cream cheese -- which my wife and I are both fans of. The bagels were crazy fresh and each but just melted in my mouth. One downside that is easily overlooked for us, was that there is no inside seating. Nonetheless, great spot for quick and delicious bagels!

Devon W.

Yelp
No fuss, simple bagel place hidden in central Phoenix area. Bagels had texture and were easy to bite into. The smear was delicious and had a good amount on the bagel. They have coffee options with a self serve area for sweeteners and different milks.

Sara M.

Yelp
Their bagels are amazing! Crunchy on the ends, soft and fluffy in the middle. The spot is small and they have a few different flavor bagels and cream cheese. They also have specials through the week. Whine it's been super hot inside the last few times the customer service is great and welcoming with a smile. We've tried the plain, sesame, salt bagels and the salmon, plain and lemon and herb cream cheese. My favorite is the sesame bagel with the lemon herb cream cheese. The cream cheese is so fresh with just enough herbs. It's amazing! I'm on a mission to try each of their bagels and cream cheese. They don't have a lot so I might have a new favorite in the near future!

Chris S.

Yelp
- Decent bagels - Minimal options for spreads - No egg sandwiches - Tight parking on-site - Good customer service

Kambiz K.

Yelp
What an incredible bagel. Absolutely mind blowing. I got the everything bagel with lemon herb cream cheese and it was delicious. I can't find one flaw with it. The crust was exceptionally crispy and the dough was light, fluffy and chewy. The entire thing was a masterpiece. Service was fine, efficient. Very utilitarian which carry's on to ambiance. The place both doesn't and does have a charm as it just a bakery with a stand to order your bagel goodness and depart. There's literally one small table to sit two. Otherwise it's a takeout experience. I'm gonna try and have each and everyone one of their bagels and toppings. I cannot even express how authentic this place is, on par with NYC famous bagels like Ess-a Bagel in midtown.

Liz H.

Yelp
I usually steer clear of both bread & cheese but this place is worth going rogue!! The bagels were just the right combination of chewy & soft, the cheam cream (salmon & lemon herb) were loaded with flavor & salmon! So great, I had one toasted the next day with a combo of both cheam creams! We tried the everything, salt, plain & blueberry bagels, all were great! Get there early as they run out.

Candace H.

Yelp
These bagels have the perfect exterior a bagel should have, and chewy on the inside. Also, bagels are a great size for the price! The remind me a lot of NY bagels.

Ryan B.

Yelp
It will ruin every other bagel for you. The fact that it doesn't have 5 stars is absolutely insane and says more about the people who gave it that score than it does about Bagelfeld's. This isn't a sit down place, it's a get your bagel and go smash it into your mouth in your car place. It is by far the best bagels I've ever had and there's not even a close second anywhere in AZ.

Lisa C.

Yelp
I've lived in AZ for over three years and constantly on the search for some damn good bagels that remind me of home and I believe I have finally found the place. We came by around 9a and they were already sold out of a couple of items. The service was pleasant and efficient. The ambiance was pretty straightforward and clean. I actually loved that you could see everyone in the back slinging the orders while the aroma of bagels filled the air. We opted to try their jalapeño cheddar, toasted, with lemon her cream cheese. And OMG it was heaven upon first bite. Crunch to the exterior and chewy interior. I loved that the jalapeño flavor was there but not overwhelmingly spicy and the cheesiness on the bottom added to both texture and flavor. The cream cheese was also a delight. It was pretty evenly lemon and herb. I should have gotten a full container of that for home! All in all, I thought it was excellent and I look forward to returning again and again and trying all their other flavors. But next time, I'll wake up earlier to try to get best dibs lol xx

Missy R.

Yelp
Be aware that this place is tricky to find and parking is really tight. They are only a bagel place. No seating. No drinks/coffee. Very basic. The menu is very basic and somewhat limiting. I wanted an everything with veg spread. They don't have veg spread. I did however really enjoy the salmon cream cheese spread on my everything. The bagel was delicious. The reason I gave it three stars was the lack of spread choices and bagel choices. I will be back for another try. Apparently they have days during the week that they offer a couple other bagel flavors. Make sure to look at the website for the menu before heading over. Again, it's a recommend. Just keep your map quest on to find. It's behind a a building.

Christina T.

Yelp
First time trying this bagel spot! I was so excited to try it out got up at 6 am to be there early. I ordered 10 bagel and 3 different cream cheeses. Came home to share with the family and invited my mom and brother over. I am sad to report the bagels were super hard and chewy. My family complained the bagels were so hard to eat they were pulling on them to eat. I was expecting them to be better than an Einstein's but sadly not. I tried several of the bagels as I was curious if the different flavors. Cream cheese was flavorful! I messaged the IG page to express my disappointment but not response.

Lei G.

Yelp
Yummers!! Always look to try any new flavors added to the menu. This time tried both the Fennel Raisin bagel & the Apple Spice cream cheese. Wasn't sure how I'd like the fennel with the raisins, happy to say the fennel elevates the sweetness of the raisin. And the Apple Spice cream cheese isn't going to last long - it was delicious. The combination was fantastic! Definitely recommend!

Johanna H.

Yelp
Can I give more stars? this Phoenix bagel gem is exactly where you need to go for all your breakfast needs. Staff is quick and friendly and the options are tasty and delicious. Make sure to get there early, they go quick

Matt S.

Yelp
While both are true, you dont need me to tell you that I was born in Sheepshead Bay or that the bagels are great. What's important is I'm old, sport a three figure IQ and in many respects Bagelfeld's evokes local legends like Little Miss, Barrio and Bianco when they were just starting out. Albeit on a smaller, bagel-centric scale. Quirky location, iffy parking, uncompromised quality standards that means they sometimes 'run out', effectively by design. But it's not just the bagels. It's the way staff greets customers. And what they dont say or do. It's the functional quality of the loose paper bag that transports your warm bagels and the way they hand it to you. Like early Biancos et al, employees seem invested in an idea or operation bigger than themselves. The bagels and consistently pleasant service that occassionally rises to charm, are arts. But dont let that fool you. This isnt some up and down hipster colony. There's standards and unusual focus. This is a damn serious place.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Amazing bagels and cream cheese!!! We have been to Bagelfeld's numerous times and keep coming back because of the great texture of their bagels and variety of yummy cream cheese! Another great thing about their bagels is they equally season them on top and bottom... yum! My favorite cream cheeses are the brown butter and roasted red pepper garlic. We just got catering for my son's Birthday party and everything was perfect! Delivery was on time and the presentation was beautiful. Everyone couldn't believe how good the food was and kept asking me where it was from. Great customer service, easy online ordering, and stress free party hosting on my end! We love Bagelfeld's!!

sharai f.

Yelp
I really expected this place to be great based off the reviews on here and on google. I've tried it twice bc I decided to give it another chance after my first time Bagels are over baked and crunchy (if you like that then this is the place for you) I had the chive smear and it was so salty that I just couldn't finish my bagels. The service was fast and efficient and the place is a bit hidden and not in the best area.

Suaan L.

Yelp
The best bagels I've ever had. So fluffy and the spread is amazing! I love that you can see them being made right behind the counter.

A. G.

Yelp
Best bagels in town, as well as incredible spreads. Great service, a little hard to find the building. Once you figure out the system, you're all set. Well worth any hassle you may encounter parking if you go at a busy time.

Beth M.

Yelp
This bagel could hang with a NY bagel any day. Crunchy on the outside, but soft in the middle, it's truly a bagel where so many "bagels" are just rolls with a hole in the middle. The cream cheese flavors are unique (lemon herb, garlic pepper - I went with an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was perfect, although my husband's bagel had a burnt/bitter taste to it. It's a small shop, likely catering to pre-orders, but the customer service was friendly and our bagels were out quickly. Be aware it's a little hard to find and they don't offer egg sandwiches or toasted bagels. They had a sign up that they are going to be selling at the Uptown Farmers Market, so we'll have to check that out too.

Karen G.

Yelp
Was looking for a breakfast sandwich and accidentally found this place. Although they did not have a breakfast sandwich they DID have one of the best bagels I've ever eaten. I tried 1/2 with cream cheese and the other half with there honey brown butter. OMG! The honey brown butter was sooo good. So sad I live in California and won't be able to have it again im until I go to visit my son. We are going to Palm Springs next month and I'm going to have him bring me some bagels and honey brown butter spread. Staff was friendly and place was clean. If you're looking for a really good bagel and cream cheese, this is the place to go. Absolutely delicious!

Ramon F.

Yelp
So here it was on a Sunday morning and I was perusing the Bagelfeld's website when I noticed that they weren't just going to be closed on Monday but also Tuesday. What else would I infer from this when the owner posted this, "we will see you on Wednesday". So I was debating on whether I should go or wait until Wednesday. Nope, I got in my car and headed to Bagelfeld's. Now I had never been to Bagelfeld's and from reading other reviews it is difficult to find but I still headed their way! Sure enough, it is tucked behind this one business. There are two driveways to enter from Thomas Road but as soon as I turned into one of the driveways come to find out you can enter from 29th Place as well which is an easier way to enter. So as I parked I noticed there was a line of people waiting to order going out the door. As I got in line it didn't take long before they were taking my order. I ordered a dozen bagels and some cream cheese with salmon. Everything you order is a to go order so don't think you will come here to sit down eat a bagel and have your coffee, this is not the place for it. The interesting part of Bagelfeld's is that as you wait for your order you can see the employees in the back hard at it. Believe me your order and everyone else's order gets done quickly. Do get here early and there are days that they open as as early as 5:30 in the morning. Closing times do vary. I got here around 8:15 with hardly any traffic on a Sunday morning and I am told their bagels do sell out. The building that Bagelfeld's operates in has kind of a warehouse look but don't let that keep you from experiencing their bagels. Their service is great and I believe the owner is looking for more employees to help out. This was my experience but I plan on returning. Like I mentioned before do check their hours. There are days when they do sell out their bagels.

Adrianna M.

Yelp
Really upset because I drove 30+ minutes to get here & had a difficult time finding the location due to it being in a back parking lot. When I arrived at 11:35 they were closed. Why would you set your business hours as 6-12 if that isn't true? Might I add that there were multiple people parking and walking up to the door and upset when it was closed. I wouldn't have taken the time to drive 30 minutes if I knew they would be closed.

Michelle J.

Yelp
Tried this place last weekend after seeing the rave reviews. And it is truly the Best bagel I have ever had! Enough said!

Daniel H.

Yelp
In the world of bagels, where discerning palates seek the pinnacle of perfection, my journey to California 30 years ago had led me to "The Bagel Shack" in San Clemente, California. For so long, I considered their bagels the unassailable zenith of bagel craftsmanship, even better than NY Bagels. That was until the day I ventured into the hallowed halls of Bagelfeld's - a revelation, a genuine rival to the Bagel Shack. In the vast expanse of the Scottsdale/Phoenix bagel scene, where I embarked on a quest to explore no less than ten different bagel establishments, each attempt left me with a taste of disappointment. That is, until Bagelfeld's entered my gastronomic orbit (yes, that is the correct use of gastronomic I googled it). Parallels between Bagelfeld's and the Bagel Shack extend beyond their delectable offerings to encompass their parking predicaments. Both establishments, it seems, share the quirky quirk of virtually nonexistent parking space. The lines that snake around Bagelfeld's, akin to the winding queues at the Bagel Shack, bear testimony to their popularity. However, if we're to scrutinize the details, Bagel Shack claims victory in one particular domain - the sheer abundance of bagels on offer. Their limitless selection dwarfs the more modest allocation of Bagelfeld's, who restrict patrons to a maximum of six bagels per person or twelve per family. A limitation that may leave you yearning for more when you've journeyed thirty minutes for the finest bagels Arizona has to offer. Yet, where Bagelfeld's truly shines is in its symphony of cream cheese variations. Here, the lemon-infused cream cheese stands as a standout performer, a testament to their dedication to culinary creativity. It is this captivating blend of flavors that sets Bagelfeld's apart, leaving a lingering impression of satisfaction. In the Bagel Battle Royale, while Bagel Shack may triumph in quantity, Bagelfeld's emerges as the champion of cream cheese innovation. Each visit to Bagelfeld's is an invitation to explore a tantalizing array of cream cheese delights, making it a destination of distinction for bagel aficionados in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area.

Joel K.

Yelp
Speaking as a bagel connoisseur from Brooklyn, New York, I can say without any reservation that Bagelfeld's has the BEST bagels by far in the greater Phoenix valley! They took it to another level for me as a customer just last week when I came in to pick up an order that was actually scheduled for the day prior! The owner and his team cobbled together a bag of bagels for me with the cream cheese ordered and made my family's weekend!!!

Lucy C.

Yelp
Delicious bagels that hit every time! I love grabbing bagels when I have friends visiting or when I'm on my way to run errands. If you can get there earlier in the morning, I'd encourage you to do so - I went on a Sunday around 10am one time and they were completely sold out.

Rhondi S.

Yelp
I have a New Yorker for a hubby and I like NY bagels, crusty on the outside, dense and chewy on the inside (And NO not bready!!). Thank you Yelp, taking us to this literally hidden place on our way to the airport. Took us an extra 10 minutes to find this place (behind the cross fit and by Luis auto repair), minus one star....GET SOME SIGNAGE for gods sake! They open at 6:00, close when there's no more bagels, came in for Asiago, by 9:00 am, sold out, yup they pretty much limit your order to 6 bagels unless you call in your order, wow, bagel nazi's or just limited resources or both. Good thing we just ordered a everything bagel with salmon spread and another with just cream cheese. Order took about 10+ minutes, with a line of a dozen people in front of us. Bagels are warm, crunchy on the outside, chewy dense on inside...ok, yes really good Brooklyn style bagels!

Yelp
Apologies first, Yelpers: I was so excited to try the fresh Everything bagel from Bagelfeld's that I forgot to take a picture until there were only two savory bites left! Mmmmmmmmmm. Okay, first, the owner is an authentic New Yorker who, like me, was probably justifiably upset over what passes for a bagel in the west. You're very likely to meet owner Charles Blonkenfeld when you pop in for a dozen. Bagels should have a distinct texture difference between the outside and the inside. A toothy crust and a fluffy, stretchy inside. Bagel craft is more art than science and Bagelfeld's gets it right! And the toppings? There's no skimping here...no "half bagel with topping and half naked" bagels here. You get the poppy seeds, everything, salt or sesame seeds on both sides...all covered with toppings. Please don't miss out on a Bagelfeld's bagel. It's an experience your tastebuds have been waiting for.

Yelp
Truly one of the best bagels I've had ever, let alone in Phoenix! This quaint, hole in the wall bagel shop will have you craving them every morning. There are a small list of flavors of bagels and spreads, but they are powerful in flavor. We were greeted and served quickly by a very friendly cashier who suggested a salt bagel and lemon and herb spread - it didn't disappoint. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Apparently there are limited amounts of bagels, we came around 9:30 am on a Thursday and I think one flavor was out. Parking is tight/unique... be sure to slow down in the parking lot. There is also one table with 3 chairs, so if you're looking to hangout you may have to stand outside!

Yelp
I have lived 3 min from here for almost 5 years and HAD NO IDEA. I have always complained that there's no good bagel shops near us, but wow, what a wonderful hidden gem! I found out about them via Yelp and headed over to give them a shot. They are located behind a title company and in a weird little section of car shops. (I have actually had body work done nearby!) They did have signs up for help in locating them. Parking is limited but I arrived around 920 am on a Saturday and there were several spots open. A small line was formed out the door but I only waited a few minutes to order. I got 2 everything bagels, 1 sesame, and 1 fennel raisin plus plain cream cheese and their cold brew which I had read comes from a tap and you know it's gonna be good!! They handed me my order within 2 minutes. The everything bagel is WELL coated and tastes delicious. I was a bit concerned as some reviews mentioned the bagels being too dense and hurting their jaw (I have TMJ disorder) but so far it has been fine to chew and my taste buds are dancing. I did toast it when I got home and added oat milk to my cold brew. (They might have milk there I didn't ask and only saw lids, straws, napkins, and vanilla syrup!) I'm sure this place gets very busy later in the morning so I would recommend getting there earlier for more bagel options! Can't wait to try the fennel raisin as this is an interesting combo I've never heard of. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Yup, this place is the real deal. Nestled behind a former auto repair shop turned cross fit gym and set back from the main drag a bit, it definitely qualifies as a hole in the wall bagel joint. Arrived 9:00'ish on a Saturday morning and was third in line by the time we got our dozen and three spreads there were at least a dozen people in line. We got "Everything's, Jalapeño Cheese, Poppy Seed, Salt and Plain. We mixed and matched with three luscious spreads: lemon herb(utterly scrumptious), Honey Brown Butter and Plain. All were well whipped, light and creamy. Very NYC in my opinion. Warm bagels, fluffy cream cheese and a friendly staff will bring us back here over and over. It's well worth the trip. Apparently they sell out on busy days so perhaps a quick call before a long drive is smart.

Yelp
After seeing this bagel shop ranking 1 over my favorite bagel shop I had to check it out. Today was the day. I have gone to other bagel places that Yelp says are good, but I am usually disappointed. This morning I am happy to report I am so excited about this bagel shop. This was our first weekend home after a trip to New York City, so the taste and flavors of NYC bagel shops are fresh in my mind and taste. WOW. IMPRESSED and I mean to shout that out! I got an everything with salmon spread, when asked if I wanted to add capers I said YES! Had I had this before? No. Well I have had it when I ordered the "works", a bagel with lox spread with smoked salmon, tomatoes and red onion and they would add a few capers to make my high priced sandwich, which I love, but what I got at Bagelfeld was on another level. The salmon spread was a cream cheese infused with salmon and dill while the capers were added on after at an affordable price. Packed in a sustainable container, not a Styrofoam one! Win win! Of course hubby was with me. He found the chocolate chip cookies. He bought 2, so he could "taste" one on the drive home and still have one to have with his favorite coffee when we got home. My slow eating hubby devoured the cookie like I have not seen in quite a while. If you like chocolate chip cookies that do not skimp on the chocolate, and make nice sized cookies this will be your new cookie place too! The cookie was soft and filled to the brim with chocolate chunk chips. Hubby ordered a sesame bagel with strawberry spread. He is not a cream cheese person, but did like the flavor. I thought the strawberry and cream cheese was a perfect mix and balance. I saw it in the case if one wants to just buy strawberry spread for home, it was so pretty. Anyway, this is ranked correctly. Will be heading here for my Sunday morning bagel fix.
