The Best Soft Serve In Seattle, Ranked - Seattle - The Infatuation

"One of the best spots in town for sashimi, dumplings, and marinated wagyu cooked on a sizzling hot rock unveiled a soft serve operation known as Baiten. Whereas other spots in town obsess over inventive base flavors, Baiten sticks with a classic, mellow vanilla—and gets wild with the toppings instead. You'll find syrups ranging from black sesame to thick mango jelly, sundaes involving mochi and cookies, and iced hoji latte floats. We like to keep it simple with their matcha syrup, which is deeply bracing and counteracts the sweetness pretty perfectly." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

The Best Ice Cream in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"This Japanese-style dessert window is attached to the popular izakaya Tamari Bar, and dishes soft serve alongside fruit sandos on Fuji Bakery milk bread and other rotating sweets. The soft serve comes in one flavor, vanilla, which you can enliven with an assortment of syrups and toppings. The 21-plus Toki whiskey syrup is particularly memorable, the slight smoky burn of the booze softened to a pleasant caramel buzz by the velvety sweet base. Bits of rusk — a twice-baked cookie reminiscent of a graham cracker — add satisfying crunch. The sundaes are elaborate, slightly intimidating affairs packed with custards, jellies, sauces, and powders, but they’re ideal for a group of two to four." - Sophie Grossman

Baiten in Seattle is a solid spot for Japanese-inspired desserts. The ice cream is creamy and flavorful—though in our opinion, it’s still a notch below Indigo Cow. The strawberry cream sandwich, however, is a standout—fresh, light, and super satisfying. Overall, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving a sweet treat.

I’m a sucker for soft serve. This place does it right. I got their summer edition of mango syrup, and it was perfectly refreshing with the vanilla ice cream. Think of it like those orange cream bars, but a million times better. It’s a cute little shop with a pretty good menu selection. No indoor seating. Would highly recommend.

I have wanted to try this place while visiting Seattle in the past year, however, I did not get the chance. This time I made sure to accomplish this goal and it did not disappoint. I grabbed the matcha sundae and it's appearance alone was equivalent to it wonderful taste. I really enjoy that this place is literally just like a small kiosk delivering phenomenal taste at a decent price. I will definitely be stopping by again.

Baiten is a Japanese sweet shop in Seattle that specializes in fruit sandwiches, Japanese soft serve, sundaes, and Japanese ice cream cookies. also vanilla soft serve is rich and comes with a variety of toppings, such as black sesame syrup and mango jelly. tastes good and is reasonably priced.

Cute storefront in Capitol Hill, within easily walkable distance of downtown, with soft serve and fruit sandwiches, and other amazing offerings like parfaits and drinks. The soft serve had multiple flavors including matcha, yuzu, hojicha, and kurogoma (black sesame). You can add toppings to the soft serve such as matcha mochi or red beans. A welcome stop especially on a warm Seattle day (or, if you overheat like me hiking up, UP the hill from the downtown area). Some additional bits: - When it's busy, consider choosing less popular soft serve flavors or coming back at a less busy time. I came thrice in a week (it was a really warm week, and I love soft serve, okay) and the one time I came when it was quite busy, and ordered the matcha flavor, it came out unusually runny/less chilled than usual. I wonder if the soft serve machine can't keep up with a lot of demand. - The rusk topping was new to me. It was a bit too hard of a texture, for my taste, when eaten together with soft serve. I wonder if a softer but still crunchy option like a sweet wafer, might be a better pairing. - No indoor seating (no indoor space, period) but they have a few seats set up right next to the storefront, and also some public seating areas along the sidewalk near the bus stop that are lined with trees that provide lovely shading, even on warm days.

Creamy soft serve. I tried the black sesame syrup one, but want to try others too. You can ask for samples to taste. Restroom in the restaurant it is located in — just ask the restaurant server.

This has recently become one of my favorite lunch spots on Capitol Hill. I’m also going to go out on a limb and say it has some of the best soft serve ice cream in Seattle. Not only are the tasty treats good but the food itself. You get a lot of food for the price as well. There isn’t much area to sit I didn’t mind at all enjoying my food on one of their outside tables. I’ve been back a few times already and will be going back again!

This is such a gem! The food and service is spectacular with plenty of spots to sit down and eat. It’s fun to have a bite to eat and people watch :p I highly recommend stopping by and getting a bite to eat.
