Google
Very nice staff and excellent fish tacos. I generally get the fried tacos. There a large selection of salsas at the salsa bar. Great stuff! Fish tacos are an excellent way to abstain from meat during Lent!

Order a stake fajita plate. OMG. It was very delicious. I wish it would come with a small drink for free.

Google
Honestly it was so bad. Also, it’s not cheap enough to be bad. I had a steak quesadilla and chips and queso. The quesadilla was absolutely awful. And tasted old. Everything about it. And the cheese was too bitter for the queso. Total of $30 for food that was not worth it.

Carlos Guzman

Google
The food is great... i had quesadilla and soup. The place, even though is in the Beverly Connection, was kind of dirty. Considering the food/experience, I think $27 is way too expensive for it.

Healthiest fastfood snack / meal, grilled or crisp seafood, fish, meat, veggie wrap or salad🥗 🌯 With fresh drinks of honest black yeah or simply water. Fresh and crisp tortilla chips on side with amazing mild ( truly mild) or choice of hot sipping sauce. Fast service and pleasant outdoor seating as well. 💚 Recycled paper plates and tissue paper

Google
Baja Fresh was not too bad. Shrimp tacos were decent. The queso was quite good. Restaurant was a little messy and didn’t seem to be kept up well.

Julie Small

Google
I wish I’d gone here on my previous visits. The food is so good: fast, healthy, delicious and full of flavour. I had the chilli lime shrimp bowl & loved it. The free chips were so tasty and the salads available to serve yourself were amazing. Must squeeze in another visit before I leave!

Google
It's too bad this chain is disappearing. They really have the best steak fajitas around.

Nijole T.

Yelp
Very friendly and fast here. Easy parking right out front. They have a great well stocked salsa bar with a large selection. I enjoy their salad with the cilantro, lime dressing, usually only when they send coupons at free offers, but this location was good.

Nancy L.

Yelp
I'm sorry to say that this Baja Fresh is not "customer friendly." I really feel terrible to have to post unflattering reviews but I feel it's important for me to do so here. My family and I recently had dinner at this location and while we have no complaints about the food I can't say the same about the ambiance inside of the restaurant. It was so cold in there that my family and I felt incredibly uncomfortable. We couldn't enjoy our food and I felt physically ill. When I respectfully mentioned my concerns to the clerk at the counter, he told me there's nothing that can be done about it. While he wasn't exactly rude, he wasn't considerate, pleasant or understanding either. Needless to say, we won't be back. How disappointing.

Maria S.

Yelp
The food is alright. The queso cheese is ridiculously expensive. 1/2 pint. 8.50. The small one 4.90. Not worth it.

Cat L.

Yelp
Both my husband and I feel sick after eating their chicken and pork baja tacos we ordered around 7:30. It's like a painful stomach cramp. Horrible customer service, and lack luster atmosphere made it suck so bad I took the food to go. This MUST be my last visit. Didn't think I'd be disappointed and both of us getting sick.

Lily H.

Yelp
First time trying a Baja Fresh ever since there aren't any close to where I live. Came here on a whim since I was in the area. Wanted to grab a quick bite, so this was the place to try. Located in a small strip mall, there's parking around, but not very many since it's crowded. It's also next door to a Jamba Juice. Upon entering there is a counter to order from and pick up your food. You can dine inside and if there's tables outside you can eat outside as well. AT atmosphere of this place is more like come in eat and get out. You really don't want to sit around and eat too long. Why? Occasionally the homeless people come in to check out the place and fills their cup from the drink station which is really gross and unsanitary. The workers there don't seem to do much or can't really do much. It's a pretty sad place to come eat. Food wise, it was good and fresh, but dining in here to eat really makes me lose my appetite. They should really have a security guard stand outside or just in this plaza alone.

Seven L.

Yelp
I forgot how bad this food is! I went to the location on Venice. The people working there are nice and professional but My food was tasteless and way to expensive for fast food. The chips are about as good as Taco bell. You can tell its all pre packaged and processed food. I will never make the mistake of eating there again!

Christian M.

Yelp
Hadn't been to this Baja Fresh since prior to 2020 so I thought I'd give it a try. Upon walking in I was smacked in the face with a smell so bad I couldn't look at the menu for 10 seconds before I turned around and walked out. Maybe it was the homeless man helping himself to the salsa bar. Maybe it was something rancid. Either way my gut wasn't ok with me eating in that kind of environment. The smell was so strong on arrival that any prolonged exposure might've caused me to actually feel physically sick. Worst smelling place I've been in outside of a bathroom all year. I feel sorry for anyone who owns a fast food restaurant on the main streets of LA because transients are ruining the experience for everyone. Edit: Also forgot to mention that yelp said they were closed when I left the review but they were clearly open. I wrote that review right after I left and people were inside eating when I got there.

Steve C.

Yelp
Daniela at the Tustin Market Place BF provided us with great service, super friendly and helpful. While we dined she was working hard cleaning the restaurant while serving customers, which is why the place was so clean. We will be back!

LV C.

Yelp
Beans and rice were ok. Ordered to go and they charged me .10 for the bag - WTF. Had I known. I know it is only .10 but this is not the supermarket. Place is dirty. Never again.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Not sure if it's this Baja fresh or another cause my work ordered this through Foodja but they forgot my tortillas and also the portion of fajitas used to be in this big plate now it's smaller. A bit disappointed. Other than that it was fine. Food was good.

Bill D.

Yelp
Great burritos. Love the salsa bar. Convenient and fast. Give it a try. I order online and pickup.

Ari H.

Yelp
It's not normally this hard to start a review, to find the words.... This place is just, lukewarm, like my burrito by the time I got home, just 15 minutes away. I didn't mind: they had loaded on the guac on my Baja-style chicken burrito. I was steps from a microwave where I could have heated it up. I just didn't want hot guac, y'know? My burrito was good - but then halfway through the chicken got strangely cold and bitter. Was it the charcoal grill? I don't know. It was off for a few bites, and then returned to good. And lukewarm. There's just a lukewarm nature to everything in the Beverly Connection. It's a lesser version of a shopping experience that you can get across the street at the Beverly Center which, let's face it, is a shadow of its former self these days. Beverly Connection is literally in the shadow of a shadow. But, I digress. As I had been waiting in the restaurant I saw some people dining in. The place was clean. The employees were kind and efficient. The cashier pointed me to the fresh salsa bar. It was clean and easy to navigate. The salsas are delicious. I was happy that I had more tortilla chips at home so that I could enjoy them after my burrito was consumed. But, it's going to be a minute before I go back. I don't think it should be $16 for a burrito and a medium drink. You need to have some coupons or occasional specials, Baja. Oh, one more thing: parking. It can be hard to navigate getting this strip mall, especially if you are coming down Beverly. There's a parking lot on the 3rd Street side of this strip mall. I got confused and started to just park there and walk over. But, that will cost you $5. The parking in front of Baja Fresh is free.

Tom J.

Yelp
Baja Fresh has such great tasting food. I love their cheese quesadillas and burritos. This location is in a really prime area, across the Beverly Center, in the Beverly Connection mall. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Jay W.

Yelp
I can't pick specifically what I want on the burrito? Unless I pay extra for each item? That's dumb. If those are the rules, I'll just go eat at Chipotle instead.

Lyle O.

Yelp
Overall doing experience was good. Dining area was clean and the employees were friendly and believe it or not, all working which is a good sign of good management. Tables were being clean, trash cans were being emptied and the cooks were all hard at work. They weren't entired swamped with guests but enough came in and ordered. The food was good and tasty. Really no complaints what so ever and thank you to the staff for keeping covid protocol alive and enforced.

Sherly N.

Yelp
The service was extremely bad. The person who gets your order doesn't even understand a basic English. I had to explain every single thing 3-4 times and still instead of mild sauce he put HOT sauce

Mori N.

Yelp
Have you ever had one of those days where you've been running errands since morning and you stop out of sheer hunger around late afternoon realizing that you haven't eaten almost all day? Well, this review reflects one of those circumstances. After finishing shopping and being absolutely famished...this place was literally in front of us as we were walking toward it. I couldn't go anymore without having a bite to eat, so I decided to give it a try. I got their steak wrap and loved it. The steak was tender and juicy and very well seasoned. Everything was fresh and they added all the goodies....from hot sauce to dips and salsa and chips.....I also ordered the Rice Plate which was also very tasty and generously piled. It is tasty, convenient and reasonably priced. A note to mention: this is not a place to expect a lot of service ...it's a "I'm starved....feed me...pick up and go" kinda place.....and that was nailed!

Susie C.

Yelp
Great service!! Fast service!! Very friendly staff. Clean and organized!! Very helpful who knows the menu!

Evelina R.

Yelp
This Baja Fresh is so dirty from the inside to the outside. Service is mediocre. Manager: staff should be checking the cleanliness of this place especially given the location

Joanna B.

Yelp
Over the years their menu has changed for the worst. The burrito used to be more guac and sour cream, not too much rice and better quality beef. Now its filled with green and red peppers, way too much red onion, way too much rice and no sour cream or avacado. Like everything else nowadays, bad and probably going to get worse

Susan T.

Yelp
Despite Covid, this location is slow and doesn't care how they make your food. I had ordered food for my coworker and I for delivery. Then my order as cancelled 40 minutes later for no reason. When I called them to ask why, they said "oh there were two susan's and so they probably took the wrong order so we cancelled it." Okay and? Don't order from this location l, maybe the others are better ‍

Tatiana N.

Yelp
I have to say, I never thought I would give a fast food restaurant a five stars (and also never thought the pandemic would be this huge but yep, 9 months later here we are!) but here I am. I'm full transparency I came because I was in the area and had a coupon (yay coupons). We shared the chicken burrito and honestly, I was impressed. I realized this $10 burrito tasted better than multiple "fancy LA" restaurant ones. Not to mention, the folks up front were kind to me when I confidently asked for "one of every sauce." Would definitely return.

Bob S.

Yelp
I thought I'd try a Baja fresh for the first time in a long time. I just needed a snack. A cheese quesadilla and two drinks was $17 and the quesadilla had absolutely no flavor at all. This place is a rip off. I'd have to be dying of hunger before I'd spend money at this place again.

Judy T.

Yelp
I mean what am I expecting? I've been 2 two Baja Fresh locations in my life. This one is standard but a bit dirtier and much busier. The food quality is variable to me. I came here a few times for lunch and got the roasted veggie taco plate with 2 tacos, rice, and beans. The rice doesn't have much taste but was fluffy. Beans were ok and drizzled with cheese. The tacos were 2-ply and had slices of grilled onions and green bell pepper topped with some pico de Gallo, fresh onions and salsa. It came out quick. It seems to be constantly busy especially with the hospital nearby and it's location in a shopping center. There was a lot of food, but the taste was just ok. It improves with addition of the roasted salsa from their salsa bar. They have a mango salsa as well as pico de gallo, verde, roja, roasted, lime wedges, cilantro, banana peppers. Another other time I got their roasted veggies bowl. It was basically a different presentation of my tacos without the taco shells. However this time I had clumps of rice stuck together (over cooked) and WAY too many onions compared to the bell pepper. At least it came out piping hot. Overall, it all sounds great and the salsa bar look great but the taste is underwhelming. Coupled with the employees who are rushed and curt due to the line...it's hard to give this place a high review. I also understand it's hard to keep the place very clean with the quick turnover of customers. I do see them clean occasionally.

Yelp
I stopped by this Baja Fresh a few days ago. We bought two normal chicken burritos. After tax, these two humble food items cost me $26.00. $26.00. For two medium sized burritos. Somehow, even with the challenges of the last 30 months, with the price of gas and eggs and chicken, this bill made my skin crawl. It made me think that we're not gonna make it. That there is indeed a rip in the space time continuum. In short, I think we're getting curb-stomped by Baja Fresh. I won't be going back. Ever.

Robyn P.

Yelp
I like Baja Fresh because they are an affordable option for great Mexican Food. This restaurant location is in the Beverly Conection mall in the heart of Los Angeles. I think Baja Fresh is a great place to eat, if visiting the mall- but I wouldn't recommend trying to visit the restaurant independently because the parking is extremely limited in front of the restaurant. Staff was friendly, and our food was ready and waiting for us when we arrived to pick up.

Eric S.

Yelp
Well....walk in the front door and you are greeted with a dirty restaurant that smells like weed is being smoked in the kitchen. The nachos had the basic ingredients but was not warm or was the cheese melted. $15 for chips with cold cheese. Manager could care less. I'm pretty sure the gross conditions wouldn't be tolerated be the health inspector. Avoid at all costs!!!

caroline s.

Yelp
love it always a good snack toneat i get a full one and share it its filling and tasty

Azul R.

Yelp
I thank you so much for your kindness !!! My bf didn't like the burrito último we had ordered. When I tried to get another one. They just made me a new one as I wanted with no charge... Thank you so much !!! All this team work.

Mellissa N.

Yelp
While I was shopping across from the grove I decided to get me a quick snack From this place I've been seeing all Over while walking around called Baja Fresh, I asked some1 how it was she told me to order the wahoo tacos and shrimp tacos, well they was fantastic. Quick meal and cheap prices. I would also suggest to try out there guacamole and chips, they have so many different choices of sauces from mild to hot. Clean and covid 19 standards in place. Contactless payment accepted as well as all Togo utensils.

K H.

Yelp
I order two nachos and they both was old and nasty. I spoke with the GM Angie and she was supposed to refund my money a week ago on a Monday and I still don't have my refund. This is bad and poor customer service.

Cesar V.

Yelp
This review is for the order taker Cecilia P. Absolute horrible customer service and very condescending. Seems like she's bothered to be working...

John C.

Yelp
Baja un-fresh I didn't eat here my friend did. But I must say, I didn't a piece of his veggie burrito and I through the rest of it in the trash. The silver bowls look nasty and has dried veggies and possibly meat particles left in them. I am speaking of the ones behind the glass windows in front of the stoves. The floor in the eating area is disgusting. And there was a big brown napkin that had a brown stain on it. That a worker eventually swept up. But still this place is nasty.

Loretta C.

Yelp
The food is good but the service is horrible. I've been here a few times and usually the male employees are the unhappy ones (in most places, it's the opposite!). One time I saw a cashier standing there but he didn't welcome me or ask me if I was ready to order. Instead he just glared and gave a fake smile/smirk, traipsed his way to get himself a soda and walked back to stand behind the cash register to continue looking on. It took a while before his coworker/supervisor was able to come help.. Weird how the quiet employee didn't inform us that someone will be with us shortly, rather than just stare at us. How are we supposed to know he's on break/not working? The male employees in general are very curt, and so are the females but at least they give a more welcoming attitude toward customers.

Richard C.

Yelp
There was a dog in the restaurant and the owners were feeding it from the table. Allowing dogs in restaurants is a violation of the county health code. It is also very entitled and inconsiderate of the dog owners, but it is on the business to enforce behavior norms in their establishment.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Man, these reviews are so mixed! I ordered Baja Fresh through a food delivery app and I was happy with what I got. I liked that they had a lot of options on their menu. We ended up getting the chicken fajitas and taco platter and it hit the spot after a long day. I don't know much about the cleanliness of the facility or the customer service but, when it came to the food, I was happy.

Scott O.

Yelp
Food was good and service was good. The parking was ridiculous. The complex has most of the spots blocked off and only allowed four spots for people to pick up food. When I got there and saw the parking situation I almost canceled my order. It is Unfair to the restaurants trying to do business on that side of the complex as well as the patrons.

B K.

Yelp
Waited in long slow line with people who don't know what they want them told no rice. How can a Mexican restaurant not have rice? What manager is in charge of this disaster

Jason H.

Yelp
Came with co-workers for a lunch break and it was awful. I got "steak" fajitas and an extra steak taco. My bill was around $20, which would be around the price of a sit-down place, so you expect at least decent food quality at that price. It was some of the worst steak I've ever had in my life. It was tough as nails to eat, superbad cut of meat where it's all fat and gristle. I had to eject three times, spitting into napkins because it wouldn't break apart. I should have known that was coming when I couldn't even cut through it with a fork and knife. It wasn't even overcooked though, that's the weird thing. And, it was flavorless meat with no marinade whatsoever, no salt or pepper... just a cheap piece of meat thrown on a grill. You can go to Del Taco and get better quality steak than this place and it's about a third of the cost... or we can go to a sit-down place pay the same amount as this and actually get real carne asada. I now understand why it was empty at noon on a work day.

Harry A.

Yelp
Very bad customer service specially Maria she is very unprofessional, bad attitude with customers, I don't know she still working-here!

Sabrina L.

Yelp
This the WORST restaurant I have ever been to. I have the receipt so I will mention the guy who took our order was Effrain B. who was pissed off at even having to take our order. I understand he hates his job--I would not want to work there either--but the attitude this guy had was horrible. Then when we got our "food," it was $31. We got stale chips, horrible guacamole, cold shrimp tacos, cold beans and rice and a bean and cheese burrito that had no cheese. Then a woman asked to use the bathroom. She had 2 kids with her and he said it was out of order which was circumspect considering I saw an employee go in and out of there. It did have an out of order sign but who knows. I will never go back there again. They also took away the little bar with the salsa, onions etc. They say due to Covid but I have been to other similar restaurants and they had the bar there. There were very few people there and with good reason. The only reason this one doesn't go out of business is the location. It's at the Beverly Connection. (It says the manager there is Angie Torres. Angie, I strongly suggest you do something about this.) It's just awful on every level. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Mike A.

Yelp
Wow.. worst food I've ever had.. purge garbage .. $30 for 2 straight to the trash can.

Roman M.

Yelp
This is the best Baja Fresh I ever seen. Everything is clean, Oscar provides AWESOME customer service. My favorite is chicken tostada salad and that team makes it perfectly! Everything is fresh, big portions. Thank you guys!!

Aer D.

Yelp
Incredibly RUDE service from cashier MARIA. I saw "pronto guacamole" on the menu. I asked if it was a special brand. She smirked and asked, like what. I said, idk,it says PRONTO guacamole so is that a particular brand or flavor? Maria laughs in my face and responds to me as if I'm a child to say, no it's just regular guacamole. Next Maria proceeded to get some gentleman's order wrong. Realizing her mistake, the incompetent Maria embarrassingly said to herself, "oops." When I got home to eat the chicken quesadilla it was clear the lack of caring put into the meal. Some pieces were uber thick with at least 4 to 5 layers of cheese and little chicken while other pieces were very thin. I was appalled by the poor quality and even more appalled at the disgusting service by MARIA who does not need to be in front of house but should be working in the back picking up garbage, if even that.

Dr D.

Yelp
Lordy has this place declined. I used to order from them once a week on my way home from work. I don't eat meat so I'd always go with the fish burrito. I could chop it in half and make two meals out of it. Even so, there was so much fish in there I'd take out chunks to toss in a pasta dish the next day. Prices went up, but the portions went down. Now I eat the whole thing in one go. My appetite hasn't changed, but if I did that years ago I'd feel so stuffed afterwards verging on nauseous. With tax, the burrito came to twelve bucks and change. For that price, one can go to any number of mom and pop Mexican joints in Los Angeles. Which I thought about, but I figured a national chain with all the advantages of efficiency from buying in bulk would be more bang for the buck. Wasn't the case. There's just not enough taste in there to recommend the place anymore. The food doesn't taste bad at all, but it's just overpriced considering the purchasing power of national chains. Which I normally never patronize anyways because refraining from meat eliminates most of those options for me. To add insult to injury, I was in the area only because my cellphone croaked and I was getting it repaired. I mentioned to the employee that I received an email that morning offering a free side of guacamole with the purchase of any entree, but I didn't have my cellphone. She said sorry we have to scan it. Sorry, but a lot of these digital offers kind of discriminate against luddites. Like if you don't have a smartphone you can't get the special offer. What, so they can inundate my phone with stupid texts? Like the almost daily emails aren't a pain in the ass? Well you can tell I'm not a fan of the digital invasion of our lives by far too many businesses. If I'm stuck on the road someplace in Nebraska I'd eat there again. But not in Los Angeles. There are too many better options with better prices. And it's a damn shame, because it didn't used to be this way. Hope the bean counters on Wall Street enjoy watching the stock price. Because for a chain like this, sooner or later the competition comes down to bang for the buck. For a chain, Sharky's is better at roughly the same price point. And given the trends, the competition is coming hard and fast. In fact maybe I'll do some research and possibly short their stock.

Masoud G.

Yelp
I love this place. Everyone is so present and the place is is clean and organized. Great service and great prices.

Howard C.

Yelp
Quality has gone out. Loved the steak burritos until today. This was not steak but a chuck roast. Very disappointed after I paid for steak priced burrito. No longer a favorite here, my experience has been ruined for good. Not all beef is steak. They need to review their menue and butcher selection.

Matt S.

Yelp
I stumbled into this Baja Fresh because the Which Which next door closed down at some point. I have been to several Baja Fresh's many times, so I figured I knew what I was getting myself into. The restaurant itself seemed a little divey and dirty, but maybe I was just upset that I drove all the way from work to get a sandwich and the place I wanted was closed. The employees working here were very friendly and even gave me some chips while I waited, without me asking - which is a BIG plus in my book. I get the spiciest salsa here, which I love and is in close competition with the salsa at Rubios. I ordered a chicken burrito with rice and beans, and it was excellent. The burrito was overflowing with chicken, and the black beans had oozed all over the soft mexican rice. Slathered with the spicy salsa, this made for a yummy lunch. I ate it all so quickly I forgot that I wasn't THAT hungry, and ended up feeling full the entire afternoon... But you know, it was worth it.

Ileana C.

Yelp
Rip off business, they added gratuity to already high prices and forgot to mention. They didn't let us use the restrooms pretending they are out of order. We also had to go back and ask for salsa. The baja burrito was very tiny. We ate at other Baja Fresh for years, too bad is going downhill.

Mark A.

Yelp
Food is great!! Sadly though my beans were slightly stale of taste, hardly any texture or "pazaz" Overall though, very good! Would come back! (I got the Pork Carnitas fajita)
