"Baja-style fish tacos rule the menu at Bajamar Seafood & Tacos. Fresh tortilla hold strips of crispy fish, topped with a tangy cabbage slaw, and served with lime slices to squeeze on top. Add in orders of surf and turf topped fries, shrimp tostada, and mixed-seafood campechana to try a bit of it all. If not in the mood for a fish taco, Bajamar also serves its tacos with shrimp, octopus, carne asada, and more." - Janna Karel

"Baja-style tacos find a home north of the Stratosphere and on Blue Diamond Road. Spicy shrimp or octopus, marlin adobada, and vegetarian options feature on the menu; ceviche tostadas are a specialty as well. But the primary draw is the fish taco, made with super fresh seafood — either grilled or fried — and loaded with sauce and slaw." - Janna Karel

Excellent Baja style seafood taco and more. Enjoy an Michelangelo or Mexican beer with your meal. We had the Crispy fish, spicy octopus and spicy shrimp tacos. All were delicious but my favorite was the octopus. Casual restaurant with a friendly staff. Keep up the great service and food Bajamar!!!!! 🌮 🌮

Honestly couldn’t recommend this place more. I’d passed by a few times but took a recommend myself and finally gave it a go; it’s a pretty unassuming location, it super busy and deservedly so. They’re serving some of the best tacos and tostada I’ve ever eaten. The spiced octopus and ceviche were particular highlights. Service is super friendly and speedy (it’s not big and they need to turn tables quick). Beers and sodas are exactly what you’d expect. Go, it’s ace.

Wow! Found this gem while looking for some fresh fish. Small hole in the wall joint with only a handful of tables and little bar seating. Wish we would have found this place a long time ago! We got the fish chicharonies on happy hour, they were so fresh and the fish was so tender it just melts in your mouth. Baja fish taco was best I've had and fried octopus taco was a bit spicy but very good. The smoked marlin taco adobado tasted just like a Mexican pastor taco...so juicy and tender. Service was good. People were friendly and food was so fresh!

Definitely coming back before we leave Vegas. Most amazingly authentic Mexican cuisine. You won't be disappointed, friendly, clean, just an overall fantastic experience 😋

Had surf and turf fries with an octopus tostada , everything was outstanding. Ordered horchata to drink and was one of the best I've had. Kind of limited menu but they sell what they make well

”A taste of the tropics!” Service there was very attentive, easy to grab a servers attention. Small quaint dining area with lots of fun artifacts on the walls from a beach style café. Refreshing!

So much flavor and filling, great sized shells. Very appropriate pricing. Got take out and didnt eat for an hour and everything was still bomb. Would definitely recommend.

So glad we came across this place! Incredible tacos. Outstanding hibiscus lemonade. And great service. Well worth the trip away from the strip!

Yelp
Great food! Love this place! This is one of my go to restaurants in Las Vegas. Love the mini tacos.

Ariana F.

Yelp
5/5 fish tacos! Just short of going to Baja California, Mexico these may have been the best we've ever had. The tortilla was nice and warm, the battered fish tacos were crisp and light, and the habanero salsa was excellent (spicy yet flavorful and not painful spicy). Highly recommend leaving the Strip to come here -- cheaper and much better quality than what you can find there. They have a parking lot, although we noticed there were a lot of homeless around so come with another person or group. For lunch, 2 fish tacos is enough. They are big and filling!

Yelp
Whoa, this is a tiny shop! It's next to a gas station. They have like 3 parking spaces! The door is locked, so you have to ring the doorbell. At the time of my visit, there was only one server bussing all the tables. I felt so bad for her. One party left because they were just not served. They have an extensive menu of tacos and tostadas. I think you have to really read through the ingredients. A lot of them sound very very similar. The taco of the month $9 at the time was a combination of three different tacos, and it ended up being the best one that we tried! I recommend getting the octopus taco and surf n turf taco. The octopus chicharron taco was popular too. They are pretty big tacos but also cost $8+ each. There is a bathroom. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted.

Yelp
I don't even like seafood & this place shocked me! Fresh ceviche, great micheladas, amazing salsa, & piping hot food! Service was very friendly, & food was fast! Sad the other location closed down- it'd be well worth the trip up north.

Brandon J.

Yelp
Pros: Food Cons: Parking Details: We had been to the Blue Diamond location several times but we were on ththe side of town to go here. Parking was a little odd, we went past the restaurant and parked at what seemed like another business but it was OK. The tacos were really good. Our order was slightly messed up but they actually gave us extra. It's not a big place and honestly not the nicest part of town, but for sure a great seafood taco spot.

Lon H.

Yelp
I asked my Lyft driver for some Mexican food recommendations and this was one of them. Looked promising so I decided to go after my conference. I didn't realize the area was shady. Good thing I walked there during the day time. The door was locked and someone had to buzz me in lol I got there during happy hours, but most of what I wanted was not on the menu. I still could not resist and ordered a fish chicharrone on the happy hour menu. Wow, it did not disappoint. I wanted a taco and their spicy octopus taco looked unique so I ordered it. I also had my eyes on the tsunami tostada. Believe it or not, I also ordered my first ever Michelada. The spicy octopus taco was okay. Everything else overpowered the octopus taste. Michelada was good. I'd order it again. But my favorite was the tsunami tostada. Lots of seafood mixed with some veggies. It was very refreshing. Then after I finished those 3 items, I felt that I needed to order more because it was so good and I wouldn't visit often. I then ordered a battered fish taco (on the happy hour menu) and a pint of Modelo Especial draft. I liked the fish taco much more than the spicy octopus taco because you could easily taste the texture and the flavor of the fish. A lot of food and drinks, but I guess it was okay for my first and only meal of the day~

Richard R.

Yelp
Really good food. I wish they would offer protein other than seafood. It is located in the bowels of the vegas strip, which is a drawback. But I guess that makes it a true hole in the wall.

Emma R.

Yelp
This is my second time coming to this place! Amazing great sea food. The fish and shrimp batter tacos is what I ordered. My fish' taco place in Vegas

Lorri P.

Yelp
The tacos were incredible! So yummy and so flavorful! The service was great and although it isn't in a great location, the spot made me feel like we were in Mexico! Looking forward to returning!

Anabelle D.

Yelp
Great fish tacos. The fish is very delicate and the batter is on the lighter side too not taking away from it. You can get your fish tacos battered or grilled. They come with crunchy cabbage, pico, and chipotle sauce. The restaurant is very small with a few tables and bar seating. It's also right on LV Blvd in the not so desirable area so don't be surprised to be asked for money or food on the way out. Will try their other location next time.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Super delicious and fresh ceviche and taco spot . I got the ceviche trio and it was amazing. Spicy, citrusy, flavorful and fresh! Their guacamole was awesome too and loved how they topped it with pickled onions! It can be a liiiiitle hard to find if you're coming south but just keep in mind that you'll have to make a u turn. The inside was very much like taco spots you find in Baja, very cute, small, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Irma F.

Yelp
Great food! Great drinks! Great service! My friends and I stopped by for a quick lunch. Our waiter was super friendly and funny. Quick service and checked on us constantly. The food is delicious. I had the bajamar fish taco with battered fried fish soooo good! I also tried the octopus tostada which was super delicious and spicy! The octopus was cooked perfectly not chewy at all. We also tried the guac and chips. It was really good. Highly recommend for a quick cute lunch

Savanna R.

Yelp
Great food and brews! Cute little place. Staff is very friendly and attentive! Great Vegas find!!

Kyle C.

Yelp
The more worried I am about my car in the parking lot, the less worried I am about the quality of the food. Bajamar serves up the best shrimp tacos in Vegas. It's been many years since I first visited and it's still got the great taste I remembered. Service is great and the food comes out quick. A real local gem that is a must try. "Under the sea" (bajamar) will have you screaming "But daddy I love him (these tacos)" like Ariel the mermaid.

Veronica G.

Yelp
Wow! I came here to give this place a try and I had the best fish taco ! I honestly think it's the best one I've ever tried ! So much flavor and plenty of fish ! I was already full after eating it but had to try their shrimp tostada. I got cooked which was marinated like a shrimp cocktail. It was really good! I definitely will try to get through raw marinated in lime shrimp next time. My friends got the poke nachos and the spicy octopus tacos and they really liked it. The waitress we had was very friendly and attentive ! This place is kind of small but they have bar seating as well! I highly recommend giving this place a try! Everything was amazing and flavorful!

Yelp
Got the $5 marg special + beer 3 - governador tacos (so damn delicious One governador taco, surf and turf taco and bajamar breaded fish taco Can't say enough great things about this place. Also their spicy habenaro sauce is mouth watering. Service is always A1. Ambiance is great Also needed content for the blog so happy I was able to get some behind the scenes insight

Cristina B.

Yelp
The food was delicious. It was in a sketch area but got parking right next to the door. I recommended the spicy octopus taco. Clean insides, good service. I will return.

Kyle W.

Yelp
I went here for some tacos right before EDC and I was mostly satisfied. I went around 2pm and it was still fairly busy, so as a solo diner, I was immediately sat at the counters. I ordered spicy octopus, surf n turf, and Bajamar fish tacos and it was about $25 after tax before tip, which is on the more expensive side for what you get. The tacos were fairly small, so 3 is just the right amount for a standard meal, and the ingredients were okay. The surf and turf had steak and shrimp, and the shrimp was a bit overcooked. The avocado and crispy onions were good and packed nice flavor to go along with the taco. The Bajamar fish taco was okay - the fish was a little bland, to be carried in flavor by the chipotle aioli. The spicy octopus was good, just a bit skimpy on the portions for the octopus, but it was fairly fresh. Service is also okay - they passed by my seat a few times but never refilled my water and I had to ask, even though they have made rounds to fill water for other guests. In the end, they did do the bare minimum expected and delivered food that is satisfying in preparation for the festival.

Yelp
This location is a tiny, hole-in-the-wall, comfort spot for me and the fam. When I'm craving ceviche, fish tacos, or some fried shrimp -- I head to Bajamar. My family and I are big fans. The seafood tastes fresh and is well seasoned. This last visit we ordered some fish chicharrón and they were served overcooked and the outside was too chard. Thankfully, our waiter was able to ask the cook to re-make and we were happy with the new plate. The margaritas are light and refreshing as well. I usually go for a michelada with my ceviche but this spot makes them WAY too spicy for my liking. Overall, a good spot but you won't always find a seat because it's a small location.

Shae B.

Yelp
If you are pescatarian this is good, affordable and conveniently located. This little taco shop is a hidden gem. Not only was the waitstaff nice and accommodating, they also shared some of their favorites. Three tacos filled me up! If you never had a marlin taco I would suggest a try. The shrimp tacos are on point. I would eat here again when in Vegas.

Serena S.

Yelp
The tacos tasted very fresh and delicious! Everyone seemed very nice and our food came out fast. Very little parking though, and area was a bit sketchy. Will forsure be going back.

Xiao Z.

Yelp
A few of my friends have recommended this place to me so I have to try it. Their taco is not cheap but it's also of larger portion size, the Bajamar fish taco was loaded with veggies slaws, but the baja fish was sooooo flavorful! We loved their elote corn with octopus and shrimp, so good. Since there were limited seats inside, we waited for about 20min at 4:30pm, not bad. Service was excellent, they were also playing UFC live when we were inside.

Lena I.

Yelp
Their fish tacos, grilled or friends are something we keep coming back for over and over again. Also, their surf n turf fries are amazing! Always a treat and always a great experience.

Katherine T.

Yelp
Everything is true. The ceviche is the best I've ever had. I got the sampler and one was kind of tomatoey and I didn't think I'd like it but it was great. We sat at the counter and watched some World Series on their tvs. The guy working the front of house was very friendly. I parked behind the cannabis shop across the street because it was free and there were far fewer random folks wandering around. There was a guy dumpster diving in the lot right next to the restaurant and I wanted a few more cameras if someone decided to take an interest in my vehicle. Once inside the restaurant, the hood was not an issue at all. It's right on LV Blvd so it would be easy to take an Uber there as well.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Octopus tacos two way-I'm In heaven. Both were delicious and I never want to choose just one. The grilled fish taco was also one of the best I've had, and I've eaten a lot of fish tacos! We had the ceviche sampler. Tsunami was my favorite and I did not like the wipeout but that a personal thing, the katsup base was overpowering. We had the ocean elote... lots of perfect seafood with Mexican corn. So good and a giant portion. I did find the ratio of corn to seafood to be very heavy on the corn but we still gobbled it up. We sat at the bar the waiter was friendly and kept the chips and beer topped up. I have no idea why it took us so long to get here. We wanted to walk around the corner in the parking lot for Luv It custard but we were WAY too full.

Eric C.

Yelp
Small legit Mariscos with great service and tasty Michelaads. The tacos are amazing!!

Stef A.

Yelp
This seafood joint is CRIMINALLY underrated. Every single bite was fresh, flavorful, and filling. The price is more than reasonable for fish. I've thought about the fried fish taco at least once a week since coming. I couldn't believe there was only two other people there with us for Saturday lunch given how absolutely amazing the food is. The service was great also, attentive but not overbearing. Come and get the fried fish taco and the trio ceviche, you won't regret it!

Marcos D.

Yelp
I recently returned here after five years. I came with some friends in April. A person in the group not a friend didn't think this was a good place to eat because of the location. This suburbanite recommended we go to Roberto's instead. Roberto's!! This establishment made the list of top taco places in America!!! I recommended we have some of my favorites the Bajamar shrimp tacos, the pulpo enchilado, and the Lucas taco. The shrimp taco had battered talapia, red cabbage, salsa fresca, and a cream salsa. The pulpo enchilado consists of sautéed octopus in a chili de arbol sauce, Monterrey cheese, salsa fresca, and a chipotle cream sauce. The Lucas taco is the specialty here and once again was outstanding!Sautéed shrimp combined with grilled bell pepper, Monterrey cheese, and chipotle cream sauce. Service is top notch, efficient and quick even when they're busy.

Rene D.

Yelp
Omg... driving by and turned in!! Thursday is their fish taco special! Service was great. One fish was grilled and one was fried in the tacos. Little small place in the old strip. Delightful snack for today!

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Ice cold delicious beer on tap and delicious habanero hot sauce paired perfectly with the seafood. I enjoyed the steak and shrimp taco, octopus ceviche, and seafood corn dip. The food came out quick and the server was attentive. It's a cute small spot with colorful interior. I highly recommend!

James ..

Yelp
This place coughs my attention so lucky enough it has parking near it! This is on the strip but something you can drive too and probably not close enough too much to walk to. There is a parking lot in front with parking behind restaurant as well. Started off with Hibiscus Tea and a Horchata. For reals though, never had an Horchata that tasted as fresh and real as this. This isn't one of your watered down horchatas and is the real deal, the sweetness wasn't too strong and reminded me of an Avena Fría from South America. The Hibiscus Tea was just as tasty. Both worth trying. The dish that lead me to this place was the Surf n Turf Fries. However they were meh, they shrimp were overcooked but the fries and toppings were still delicious. It came with shrimp of course, Carne asada, guacamole, pico, and some other things and is perfect for sharing as it's pretty large. Goes great with beers. The Fish Taco was pretty typical Baja style but tasty and cooked just right. The spicy shrimp taco stole the show for me. Even though, the shrimp were overcooked, common theme here, the taco came together nicely and was very tasty. The taco shell was corn based, thin and a work of art in itself. It was flexible yet sturdy enough to hold the food and even had a crisp to it. I couldn't get enough. The spice though, still searching for it lol. The shrimp cocktail was ok, a little watered down and honestly nothing to really write home about. If I came here again I would just stick with the tacos and drinks and leave very happy! The tacos are amazing. This place isn't large inside so we were lucky to score the last table and I'm so glad we did as we hit this place up before heading home. And this was on a Monday afternoon so I can imagine it gets super busy on weekends but totally worth it. The service was excellent and quick. With so many good food options on the strip and in Vegas alone, it's a tough market. But this taco is definitely worth a try.

Liz N.

Yelp
Omg the best tacos I've tried in all Vegas! Worth the drive. The spot is a bit hidden. Drove right past it. Service was great the girl was great. They have a bar and they were so quick to get food out. They have happy hour. Definitely coming back. Parking is limited but has more spots out back. Not many tables but it's great place if you want to also do take out.

Bondade C.

Yelp
We're not from Vegas so we looked up tacos on Yelp. And the food was pretty tasty! I don't know if I would have just gone there driving by it. But so glad we Yelp'd it and found it. The service was fast and prompted. The recommendations were great. We enjoyed our meal (see pics for what we ordered). The Ceviche Sampler (Tsunami, Wipeout, & La Playa) was delicious but I couldn't eat Tsunami - I'm a wimp for spicy. My favorite was the surf and turf taco. Bajamar was good, but I couldn't finish it 2 tacos lol. They had options for my kid who doesn't like "seafood" tacos and his chicken fingers and fries were made fast. He rated the fried 8/10 lol. Cute little place. We'll probably be back when we come back to Vegas. :)

Thomas D.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I have been here and boy did I miss this place. The food is so frickin delicious and the drinks are great as well. The place is small, I don't think it's for groups of 5 or more, at least if you want to sit at the same table. However, you can go to their other location off Blue Diamond for larger groups. This place is a gem in the area and worth the time to drive here. The food is amazing. GO!!

Kannica C.

Yelp
We stopped by this place on our way back from the Art District on a whim. It's located in a really random spot by the gas station. Luckily there's a lot of parking spots around and behind the place, so that was nice. Giving 5 stars because the ceviche is some of the best ceviche I've ever had! Our server was super sweet, and service was incredibly quick. Food came out in a blink of an eye! The place is pretty small but they have plenty of seating. Tacos are pricey but it's Vegas, so can't complain too much.

Carla E.

Yelp
THE BEST! Everything on their menu is so delicious! We go there once a week and I think I've literally tried everything on their menu lol Heather the server is very attentive, she's on top of it, great hospitality. I absolutely love this place!

Francis T.

Yelp
The Fish Tacos and Shrimp Tacos with battery were pretty fire. My friend also got the tostada and really liked it. The Tostadas were a little small tho. Overall solid tacos and I liked sauce with it. Adding a little more salt to it made it amazing for me. The place had a bar like area to sit and larger groups they move the tables together. Servers/Owners I think were also really nice. They got the food out to us fast.

Rosio R.

Yelp
Omg the shrimp taco and battered shrimp taco was so flavorful and delicious, first time coming here and I would definitely come here again when I'm in town and bringing the whole family. Never tasted shrimp and fish tacos as good as these 1000x recommend, oh yea and ask for their habanero sauce cuz it has a good kick to it. Yummmmmmmyyyu Margarita was 7/10 next time I will try a different one but it was still good and I did finished it

Jenn S.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Vegas! I've been here a dozen plus times and it's always amazing. Since it's just off the Strip, I always recommend people who are visiting check it out. Bajamar is in an inconspicuous little spot right by the Strat, but when you step inside you feel like you're on the beach in Mexico. The staff are really attentive and friendly. The menu has a bunch of ceviches and tacos plus some other dishes. I've tried a bunch over my visits and I've never tried something I didn't love. I always get the surf and turf fries to share and they're the best - loaded with juicy steak and shrimp, chipotle sauce, guac, and cheese. You cannot go wrong.

Ernie C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the mariscos here. We will definitely be back. The only thing, is that it closes at 8pm on Friday. That seems crazy right? I have pictures of the food that I've included. If you like mariscos, you can't go wrong here. I will be back. Service was great. The place is small but cozy. It's not a fancy place but it's a great Marisco restaurant

Maria E.

Yelp
Absolutely a gem. I've eaten in some very swanky, high end places and this is right near the top of the heap. Consistently delicious and the location actually adds to its charm.

Lisa D.

Yelp
Wandered in here for lunch. Didn't know what to expect but it definitely exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.

Khristopher T.

Yelp
Hidden gem of Las Vegas. Everything here is super fresh and delicious.! Fish tostada was amazing The Black pearl was just with the doctor ordered... Marlin adobada melts in you mouth. Can't wait to come bk

R Z.

Yelp
The food is amazingly good!!! Service is great and the concept is super cool! You can almost feel like if you were at the beach when you are inside. So fresh, so tasty! I ordered the spicy shrimp taco, the Baja fish taco and the buffalo shrimp fries. Everything was delicious!

Jessie E.

Yelp
The service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed the chicharron octopus taco the most. But the baja fish taco was pretty good too. Definitely going back for more.

Denise G.

Yelp
Eating here makes me feel like I'm by the beach in San Diego or Baja California eating seafood lol. They have so many dang options for ceviche and they're all so amazing and unique. Pretty good happy hour prices too! Very friendly staff, wish I could've remembered our bartenders name to give her a shout out :(

Jose M.

Yelp
I would give it 3.5 overall. 3 IMO means solid good food just not great. The service was 5/5 though, super friendly staff and quick food! Hibiscus tea- refreshing and good, no sweetner so be aware of that, still tasted really good Bajamar fish taco- not bad but way too much garnish for my taste. The fish was also a little heavy breaded. Tortilla was delicious and overall it was fine and the size is huge Marlin adobada- this one wasn't for me at all. I've had lots of adobos but this one was too funky for me. I ate it but did not enjoy it at all Spicy octopus taco- easily my favorite. The most tender octopus I have ever had. It almost melted in my mouth. Good mix of garnish and meat but still a bit heavy on the garnish. Main critique here is there was zero spice! Even with Chile de arbol zero spice which would've been great! The shop is in old town, a little run down area but the restaurant itself is good.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This is my favorite taco restaurant. We've been getting takeout regularly for the last three years. The Spicy Octopus and Marlin tacos are our go-tos, but everything is delicious and fresh. For pescatarians, the tuna in the Marlin taco had me questioning if it was meat when I had it first time.

Lea M.

Yelp
Bajamar was just what U needed and wanted!! The seafood options are limited where i'm from so I had to try something close enough to the hotel but with a big enough following to really be good. First let's start with the ambiance. The thing that threw me off the most was that they had to buzz you into the restaurant using a door lock because I assume they have a lot of houseless coming inside and since the size of the place is so small (maybe enough for 30 people) i'm sure they wanted to prevent that at all cost. It just cheapens the experience a tad bit but not enough to deter me. The service was great, a couple different people helped us and we were greeted at the door after being buzzed in. They even told us about some good dispensaries in the area. Now the FOOD SOOO GOOD. I was really craving ceviche so that's what I got along with some shrimp tacos. The ceviche was definitely the star of the show. So so yummy with a sweet taste and the shrimp was so so fresh. The spicy shrimp tacos were my next fav which I had to order another one because why not?! My partner got the aguachilies which were good but a bit to sour, like lemon peel sour but we still ate as much of it as we could!
