The gluten-free cupcakes were AMAZING! They were the hit of the party. The macarons were delicious as well! The red velvet macaron got very mushy, but the others were crisp and delicious!

Google
Placed order for delivery to MA and they arrived in perfect condition! I've adored these for years after they created GF options and finally splurged during the Black Friday sale. I really really wanted to not like these due the $96 cost for 50 bites of gluten free cake...but I do, I really, really do. They're delightful, adorable, and moist. They're perfect, ugh...already looking forward to next year's sale 😂

Google
Teeny tiny cupcakes. Bite sized each (or smaller). Cute to look at. Would probably be great for kids but not for adults. Tasted a bit artificial, was overly sweet and lots of food coloring. But somehow it still makes me happy to just look at them.

Google
These are the best tasting macaroons that I have ever eaten. We got a large box of 25 and they arrived fresh and packaging was excellent. Presentation was beautifully packaged and they all tasted good. Definitely try them!

Rosemary (nycstylecannoli)

Google
These have to be the best mini cupcakes and macarons around So much fun for parties and gift giving. They are the perfect little sweet and must be tried. When you send as a gift, they make the recipient very happy. My favorite are those that have filling inside!

Shirley Chiang

Google
Cute one bite cupcakes! Great for parties. I like the flavor too. Included tax will be $1.25 per cupcakes. Macaroon is bit more.

Kurt McGowan

Google
Low quality product. These are not “so New York”, your coworkers will not “love these small bites” and Melissa likely hasn’t baked a thing in years. Do yourself a favor and just pick some mini cupcakes at the grocery store when you get home… these are the same thing.

Omar Reyes

Google
Pretty chill spot, ac is on & very fast service, good looking cupcakes

Yelp
Pros Friendly staff Miniature cupcakes Offers flavor of the month Cons Can't buy individual cupcakes Smallest size option to buy is over$ 10 Smalles size option has primarily chocolate cupcakes Average cupcakes

Yelp
Baked by Melissa is a cute idea. These bite-sized homemade cupcakes are sold in assorted packs. They frequently change up their menu. They also offer vegan, gluten free, and no nuts cupcakes for those with dietary restrictions. BTW, they sell nationwide too. 4 stars.

Yelp
Met with a friend of mine and while walking I saw this shop. I got a quick 12 pack and I do have to admit, this one tasted better than some others I've had. The hostess there was very nice and friendly. Had to get a couple of bites in before heading to the final destination. Over all these were very moist and delicious!!

Yelp
Great customer service, great last minutes gift buying . It is a small place, prepackaged and tasty cupcakes.

Yelp
These folks are smart. They strategically locate themselves close to offices so that it's a no brainer when it's special occasion time. Make no doubt about it, you're going to pay a lot for this convenience and I can't deny that it feels more corporate than locally-owned, but these cupcakes are pretty damn good! And yes, they have vegan cupcakes. And teeny tiny ones so that you can buy a six pack of different flavors and not feel guilty for eating the entire thing as it probably amounts to one large cupcake (this recently happened to a "friend" of mine. Yeah.) I'm not even a cupcake lover, but these are undeniably moist and delicious. I wasn't as much a fan of the three chocolate varieties as I was the strawberry and the peanut butter vanilla. But I wouldn't throw the chocolate ones out of bed. Also, I felt positively dainty as I devoured each tiny cupcake topped with a dollop of frosting that's the size of a baby's kiss. And yes, I just outed myself for devouring a six pack of cupcakes. But it's my birthday week, bitches. I once went in to buy a bunch of cupcakes for a coworker. The staff is as sweet as the cupcakes.

Yelp
Bite sized ... More like pea sized. So over priced ($1 each) ..... I don't even care how it tastes. The only reason I got them was my daughter was determined to eat it.... Ya, I guess it was bite sized after all for a 2 yr old. All flavors (ridiculous) come either as cupcakes or macaroons. They are whimsical to look at but u know they have to use food color to make it rt (tons of it). I was astonished by the sales.. They were selling like hot cakes... Most of them were gone by EOD... It's works for Manhattan.

Yelp
I really want to love baked by Melissa cupcakes. But....! These cupcakes are so cute and beautifully decorated. In the past when I ate gluten I found them to be very tasty as well. Unfortunately I recently ordered 50 for my birthday. They were gluten free as I'm gluten intolerant. While the cupcakes remained super cute they were so dry. Blech. For the size these cupcakes are expensive to boot. The regular cupcakes deserve 4 stars but given the dry gluten free cupcakes I think 3 stars is more appropriate.
google avatar

Esther L.

Yelp
These cupcakes are a great treat to send to someone as a gift and a great treat to receive, however, I would not buy them for myself personally as I feel they are incredibly overpriced. While they are cute and bite-sized, I would prefer to get a whole cupcake for a better value.
google avatar

Yelp
Sometimes you just need a bite. A bite-sized cupcake in your mouth! Faves: peanut butter jelly, red velvet, rainbow and the brownie one A little steep at a dollar a pop, but that works if you just want a taste of something sweet and don't want to commit to a pricier dessert. And how can you resist the cute packaging. A box of 3 makes a cute, just because gesture for a friend and the 20-pack makes a cute tiny dessert to bring to a staff breakfast/lunch. Or just stop in and get one, in the cupcake liner they give it to you in. Take it like a shot. Throw your head back and all. And it's almost like it never happened. They're too small to count anyway.
google avatar

Kristi Y.

Yelp
Great and friendly staff and the cupcakes are quite small and cute. The size and design of the cupcakes make a cute idea for a random gift for someone. I got some cupcakes for a friend and we both fawned at how dainty the cupcakes were. But when we tasted it, well, it was just way to sweet for our liking. The price was quite steep for what you get as well. I hear that these cupcakes are supposed to be one of those treats where you don't feel guilt for eating a bunch, but you get the sweetness and satisfaction of a full cupcake. But, to me it just feels like eating a bag of sugar all at once. I just feel it's a fast track to diabetes. I guess it's a great place if you're into really sweet things, but honestly there's a lot of variety of other sweets in the area. The business and concept is alluring but I expected better. Overall 2.5 rounded to 3
google avatar

Wei S.

Yelp
This is a very good place to get sweets and share with coworkers. I got 48 mini assorted cupcakes on my last day. Co-workers loved them and said: "can you come back and leave again?" A little weird but they got the point across. Those mini cupcakes were so good. You can't just have one and walk away.
google avatar

Lourdes G.

Yelp
Unfortunately, baked by Melissa has fallen in their delivery. You can no longer walk in and pick your own cupcakes, everything is prepackaged, and you don't know how fresh they are. This is an unfortunate change of circumstances as the whole point of going to Baked by Melissa was to see the fresh little cupcakes coming out, and to choose which ones you felt like having at any moment. It is NOT worth paying $32 for a prepackaged set of 25 cupcakes. Needless to say, I will not be buying them any longer. So sad...
google avatar

Yelp
Bring these tiny cupcakes within about 10 feet of any group of women, and you're bound to be bombarded with an array of "oh my god," and "how cute," ... comments I'd otherwise never hear. First of all, no review is complete without mentioning just how small these cupcakes really are. They're obscenely small, just slightly larger than a quarter, and about an inch tall. I'd say it would take about 6 to equal one small cupcake, and at a dollar a pop, that's a pretty expensive cupcake. The variety, and flavors are all pretty good, but nothing will blow you away. I'd usually pass right by Baked by Melissa, as they're a pretty average, 3 star kind of place. So why the 4 star review? I'll tell you why ... their collaboration with Ample Hills was genius. Ample Hills sweet cream ice cream, mixed with the tie-dyed cupcakes is a great combo. As it sits now, the ice cream is available at Baked by Melissa locations through the summer (and also available at the Ample Hills, Nevins St location.) Hopefully that collaboration will turn into a more permanent thing.

Yelp
I went in for a birthday gift for my friend and the staff, Xavier was extremely friendly and helped me make my decision on what to purchase. It was such a great experience for an in store purchase and even though it may be a little pricey I think it was totally worth it for the quality!
google avatar

Yelp
This review was written on 5/8/2016 and was left unpublished. Amazing, super welcoming staff. I wasn't feeling much confident and stopped by to cheer myself up. From the moment I walked in, couple of bubbly and vivacious girls welcomed me with a huge smile on their faces and made me feel every bit of a super star with their compliments. Mind you, it was done in a very genuine way. It makes you ponder about how much a positive approach to treating customers, makes a difference in people's lives. I left smiling & buoyant, jolly mood & 12 mini cupcakes heavier than when I entered the store. BTW this is not the first time i am observing an excellent customer service at this location. The girls are always friendly and attentive.

Yelp
I've seen this somewhere - I'm not sure where, but I decided to come by one of them and grab a few cupcakes. I decided to try three different ones (especially ones that I know I'd like). Cookies and cream, peanut butter and jelly, and the chocolate caramel truffle. The last one was a special flavor for December and it was delicious! But the first two were just okay. I think they were a bit too dry to me. The topping is okay, but nothing super impressive. I've had better cupcakes. Protip: try those seasonal flavors.

Yelp
Love these fun little treats. I always stop in here once in a while. These little cupcakes are so delicious and come in a variety of flavors. They are kind of pricey for little cupcakes, $5.50 for a box of 6. I always end up buying them as random "I appreciate you" gifts for people because they are such a delight to the eye and taste so good! I love that it comes in a little box with a sticker and tattoo (that's my favorite part aside from its looks and taste). The service at all the locations I've been to are always awesome. Workers are always really up beat and happy to help when I have a hard time choosing flavors. Like, where can you really find up-beat, helpful workers 24/7 in this day and age? At baked by Melissa's! It's a must try!
google avatar

Nav D.

Yelp
I'm not sure if Melissa even bakes anymore or if she relies on a factory to bake her cupcakes. These things have all the makings of a good, not great, supermarket cupcake. I stopped here as my niece and nephew were hungry for a treat. So at the very least is a great place to get good looking colourful cupcakes that should satisfy kids. Not a huge cupcake person but I'd opt for Georgetown Cupcake over this any day.
google avatar

Candra S.

Yelp
These little treats are so small and so tastey that you can definitely eat much more than you wanted to! You can get 3 for $3.75, but 25 of these bite-sized cupcakes will run you $30. Other than price, they are all good. Service was quick and attentive. The small storefront bakery was very clean. I tried the tyedye, smoreo, and dulce de leche. Of the 3, the smoreo was definitely my favorite.
google avatar

Alijna D.

Yelp
I've only been here once, but the lady behind the counter was really nice and patient. Cupcakes were soft, fresh, chewy, and had the perfect ratio of cake to frosting.
google avatar

Jess L.

Yelp
So, the price is super high, but the flavor is really great, and it's great for satisfying a sugar craving. I recommend the PBJ and red velvet. Not something I'd spend lots of money on regularly, but they make a good gift, and I'll always be around to try the new flavor!
google avatar

Yelp
I love these little cupcakes! I think the pack of 25 ($30) are the perfect gift for any occasion. They are a little expensive to just eat as a dessert (I don't think I would stop in and buy like 3-4 after a meal), but they are so cute if you are trying to give a gift to someone/impress someone! ex. office parties, dessert to bring for dinner parties, bday gifts, etc! I bought the greatest of all time pack, as recommended by the employee and there were so many great flavors in there, enough to please a variety of people's tastebuds. The employee was very friendly and patient and was able to give me all of her recommendations--she was extremely helpful. The cupcakes tasted great and fresh, even though they were pre-packaged and probably not baked that day. Loved all of the different flavors--the sugar cookie & tie dye were probably my favorites.

R R.

Yelp
No, just no. These aren't cupcakes or at least not tasty ones. I love to bake, but don't always have time, so when I buy cupcakes I do expect them to be as good, preferably better than mine. These are all gimmick, lacking in balanced flavour and way overpriced.
google avatar

Dan K.

Yelp
I needed a fast birthday cake like purchase and spotted this place back to the hotel. It worked in a pinch and the birthday girl was quite pleased. Essentially you're buy cupcake tops (the best part) and you can choose from a wide assortment. I bought a dozen (pb&j, caramel apple pie, chocolate chocolate chip etc. ) and all were quite delicious. The price was right and it even came with a birthday now for an extra buck.

Suchi P.

Yelp
Overpriced Tiny (micro) Cupcakes!! I bought two packs of 12 and was astonished with a total cost of $24!!!! Cupcakes are tiny as you can see in the pictures and do not taste any different than the ones you can buy at Walmart for 1/10th of the price. Will not recommend buying from this place as $1/cupcake wasn't worth it at all!
google avatar

Gina N.

Yelp
Conveniently located near Park Ave. They have quarter size mini cupcakes and macaroons. Many flavors plus they always have a flavor of the month. $1.00 Each. They have other locations in nyc as well.
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
I love this place!! The cakes are so cute and easy to eat without making a mess. Most importantly, they tasted AMAZING -- really moist and they have just the right amount of icing so it isn't overly sweet. The prices are very reasonable and I'll definitely come back here again!
google avatar

Ayesha A.

Yelp
Cupcakes! How can you not love cupcakes. These cupcakes are small and bite size so you don't feel completely guilty for indulging. They are a set of everyday cupcakes they are usually in stock and a flavor of the month. And now they have mini macrons. I'll take some of those too, please and thank you.
google avatar

mark p.

Yelp
Delicioso! I don't usually eat mini cupcakes, but when I ido, I indulge with Melissa's Cupcakes

P H.

Yelp
Rating two stars because I've definitely had better (Crumbs). Also $1 per mini cupcake is just stupid ridiculous. I tried the chocolate chip. The cupcake was dry and crumbled. The flavor was mild and I believe the chips were unsweetened. http://s3-media1.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/PSq1ZDHbT03nJ1Ub_CE8Fg/l.jpg I was hesitant to try Baked By Melissa in the beginning and my food instincts were right. Avoid.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Many flavors of mini-cupcakes. I tried the cookies and cream, red velvet, and a cinnamon cupcake. All pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the cinnamon. Each bite. Comes. In a tray that holds them. They are a single bite. Before this the smallest I have tried is Mission Minis in San Francisco. The flavors are nice, if a little overly sweet. Overall, quite nice. I probably would try again if I was in NYC.
google avatar

Tessie V.

Yelp
The two girls working here were completely useless. One girl was helping this woman that was ordering over a hundred cupcakes. She was taking forever deciding which she wanted. Instead of the girl telling the woman to decide and help US. THAT JUST WANTED ONE SIMPLE CUPCAKE. She made us wait forever. And her co-worker was just standing there not even helping us either. I literally have had better service at the Melissa's downtown thats LITERALLY A HOLE IN THE WALL.
google avatar

Gabby S.

Yelp
I am def a fan! The cupcakes are amazing I have never had a dry cupcake, they are always so soft and fresh! The staff is amazing they are so nice all the time and always willing to help people out no matter how many questions people ask. The only thing I don't like is the price, one dollar for a cupcake that is the size of a quarter is too much . But its still pretty good once in awhile if you wanna splurge
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
The novelty of the little baby sized cupcake that makes my hand look giant has worn off. I just love Baked by Melissa. 1. I am not a cupcake fan, so when I say I liked Baked by Melissa cupcakes, take that how you will. It's the perfect cupcake, to frosting, to filling ratio. 2. Yes, this shit ain't for the broke. It's like $5.50 for 6 weenie cuppycakes. Do 6 baby cupcakes make 1 regular sized cupcake? Not sure - still debating. If you buy me more Baked by Melissa, I can get back to you faster. 3. My favorite has got to be the peanut butter and jelly cupcake. Who would have thought that a girl who's only "meh" about PB&J sandwiches would love the PB&J cupcake? They just do it right. Second goes to the Tie-Dye.
google avatar

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Bite-size cupcakes that you can pop into your mouth-- what can you possibly complain about? The March 2013 cupcake of the month (caramel apple was definitely not my favorite, but my bf liked it a lot). Tye-dye is always my favorite and tried cinnamon for the first time, which was also very good. It cost $5.50 for 6. Eat them quick though, they go stale within just a day or two.
google avatar

Anne H.

Yelp
These cupcakes are delicious but expensive. It's a perfect gift for those who don't like to overindulge in sweets but like to sample different flavors. This location in particular was a bit unpleasant. It was very warm and the display window did not look nice. There were lots of crumbs everywhere. and cupcakes that weren't sitting properly in their display hole.
google avatar

Erin A.

Yelp
4.5 stars I live for these tiny cupcakes. Think about those mini cupcakes, now cut that in half and you have a Baked by Melissa cupcake. The flavors are abundant. My favorites are Oreo, Cookie Dough and Red Velvet. They're pricy, $1 for one, but these are perfect for those who are craving something small and sweet and just need to satisfy a craving. The staff is also friendly and pleasant. My friend dropped her cupcakes and they replaced them free of charge. :)
google avatar

Safi I.

Yelp
They are delicious and the perfectly bite sized. The amount of detail and explosion of flavor in these little pocket treats is pretty powerful. If you're used to over sized ginormous 5 billion calorie barf in your mouth the icing is so sweet cupcakes be warned these are not the same. Picked up a 50 pack for a party this weekend and I know they will stand out amongst the sea of box brownies, warehouse cakes, and pretty but tasteless pastries. Each month there is a new flavor!
google avatar

Christopher M.

Yelp
Since I have not been in to the shop, I don't feel I can give more than a 3-star rating. But a friend gifted some of these delights to me....and my word!!!!!! I am a fan!!!! I was gifted the pb&j, choc chip, double chocolate, red velvet, and the chocolate-dipped. All were amazing, if a bit on the sweet side. Mind you, I just can't fathom ever paying for these bad boys myself, as $1 for half a bite isn't even something I'd consider for a gift (even with the lovely packaging), unless that is ALL the person was pining for. But I am so happy I was able to try them! If a Groupon or other coupon pops up, I'd probably snag it, as I really enjoyed the super mini treat!
google avatar

Julie M.

Yelp
Honestly I love the concept and the quality of these delightful mini cupcakes, the pb&j is probably my favorite!
google avatar

Shalizeh D.

Yelp
These cupcakes are delicious! Tiny little treats in all kinds of flavors. Be sure to ask for the cupcake of the month. My favorite is the chocolate chip pancake because why not? The rainbow is also delectable. I suggest buying a bundle to get bang for you buck and sharing wit some friends. We were 4 people and shared a box of 12. They are literally bite sized which is perfect for me. The cupcake is moist and not too rich and definitely not overwhelming. Its a little bite of heaven. They have multiple locations in NYC. They have expanded the SOHO location from a walk up window to a shop. MUST TRY!
google avatar

Patty A.

Yelp
My family loves these cupcakes and macaroons. I would have given 5 stars except they mixed up my order. I had filled part of a 25pack of macaroons and wanted the remaining filled with snickerdoodles and then an entire 25 pack of salted caramel. I ended up with 25 snicker and 25 caramel. Missed out on the others I had. Also, bought 2 25 packages of cupcakes. I wish they would not charge so much to ship. If Amazon can ship a small item with free shipping, why can't Melissa ship. I spent $160. Just seems like you should be able to ship without charging so much. Your product is costly enough.
google avatar

Choua V.

Yelp
Looked this place up on Yelp and should have actually read the full reviews. We ran up to the shop and was instantly disappointed at the SIZE of those little cupcakes. I mean they are skinny girl bite size. Not really sure how someone can pay almost $1 a bite. We ended up buying 12 for $10 because we didn't want to drive around the city looking for parking and cupcakes at 9 at night. The cakes were sweet, but the flavors were not as bold and you had to guess which flavor it was that you were eating. They were very moist though. I think if you smashed all 12 cupcakes together, you get a regular size cupcake. Glad I tried them... but I think I'll pass next time.
google avatar

Puja P.

Yelp
The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 is because the portion size is very small, but other than that the cupcakes and macaroons are good!
google avatar

Taylor P.

Yelp
Yummy! This is a treat every girlfriend of mine loves as a surprise! You want a sweet treat, but dont want to break your diet, these are the best things ever. And they ship as fun gifts
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
I've gone here multiple times, but only because it's the one cupcake spot on the way to the train station and I have a flaming cupcake addiction. I am a fan of light buttercream frosting, but the frosting here is thicker than I like and it's too sweet for my taste. Because the cake is so small, it's hard to tell if the cake itself is moist, but I'm gonna say.....ehhhhhh?? They also don't have a chocolate on chocolate flavor and that kind of sucks.
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! I guarantee that every single flavor is absolutely delicious! They're bite sized and tiny enough to not make any type of mess. The boxes are perfect as a small gift or for an office birthday. I placed a large order of 300 cupcakes and these folks deliver for a small fee and the cupcakes arrive nice and fresh. Very impressive.
google avatar

George C.

Yelp
Their $1 mint cookie cupcake was fine, but the staff and the insane floor fan made it a 4 rather than a 3.
google avatar

Andrew Y.

Yelp
The cupcakes and macrons were way too small. They were $1 each, too overpriced for such small portions. It tasted good and there were a variety of flavors, but unless you have at least six bucks to spend, I'd skip this place.
