Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Continues to Violate New York’s Cashless Ban Law - Eater NY

"Earlier this month, the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection shared a list with Eater of other food businesses with complaints filed against them for allegedly violating the city’s cashless ban law. In addition to Van Leeuwen, the list also includes businesses such as the Upper West Side Baked by Melissa on Broadway (fined $1,000)." - Emma Orlow

Bought my grand daughter a pack of the baked by Melissa. The place was clean and the staff was super friendly.

Google
the mini cupcakes are so cute and delicious and i love the tie dye box!! beautiful fun gift and crowd pleaser ❤️

Diana R

Google
I was gifted baked by Melissa mini cupcakes and they were so delicious. They are very small but super powerful in flavor i couldn't get enough. I also shared it with some friends and they were in love. If you get baked by Melissa be sure to try the tie-dye, cookies and cream, triple chocolate fudge, red velvet and cookie dough. Those were my favorite. They also have pretty gift boxes.

Julie Goldstein

Google
Preordered a birthday cake. It was decent, definitely fun and colorful but the cupcakes are better!!

Nick Bierman

Google
When we walked inside we asked if they were open because it was empty, the TVs weren’t on and there were no cupcakes inside. Not a very friendly atmosphere. Cupcakes were very average and you could tell that they were old. Not very impressed

Google
Baked by Melissa shops are all so cute and inviting. I was able to make my order online without issue, and come in and pick up without delay. I brought them to a friend's house for snack and dessert, everybody loved them!

Leandro Campos

Google
This product is definitely bad quality. It's not a fresh product, it's something with an artificial flavor. Apparently not made with buttercream, possibly some kind of whipped cream with lots of sugar. The cupcake box doesn't come with the flavors, that would be a problem, but it's not... Do you know why? Because they all taste the same. The cake batter has a very strong wheat flour taste. The cupcake is called a mini cupcake, but it should be called a micro. Something similar to this product can easily be purchased at any supermarket with a cheaper price.

Ana Ruvalcaba

Google
The mini cupcakes are delish! Flavor, texture, smell, presentation are all great. Cupcakes have been all the rage for some time now so I wonder how long this idea will last but I for one hope it sticks around. My favorite flavors are PB&J and Cookies & Cream. One thing I like about them is that they ship all over the US and I recommend this as an alternative to sending chocolates though I haven't actually yet had the need to do this. There are multiple locations in NYC. If their prices were just a bit lower then I would give them 5 stars.

Yelp
I always love this lil, tasty bake oven cakes. Now that they have these lil bits" ( to small to be call bites) prepackaged due to COVID, it's a much easier process to pick what you want. They only give you a couple of options to choose from. I think that they do give you a good selection of those options, but I still would have preferred to pick my own individuals. Anyway from the package I went with, the lil bits were still moist and fresh tasting. Still delicious. For such small lil bits, my household felt that they had enough to share from and that it was very satisfying. By the way out of all the bakery in N.Y.C. that makes cupcakes, this place makes my husband's favorite, although he wish they were much bigger.

Yelp
I love this concept! Bite-sized cupcakes. After all, cupcakes can be messy. They come as few as a six pack and quantities increase. You can eat the cupcake in one bite! I sampled a chocolate one. Very rich and the icing was good. A guilt-free way to enjoy a sweet treat!
google avatar

Yelp
I've seen these cupcakes around for what feels like forever and finally picked up a 25-pack ($46) for a recent special occasion:) The gluten-free version contains 6 flavors: birthday cake, caramel, cinnamon, tie-dye, red velvet, and triple chocolate. My favorites were probably the caramel and triple chocolate, which both had really tasty stuffing inside and the chocolate quinoa brittle had the perfect crunch. They're definitely bite-sized treats that are on the pricier end but my family definitely enjoyed how whimsical and cute these cupcakes were! The location on the UWS is pretty small but very clean and service was so friendly. I was able to order online and choose same-day pick-up, which was convenient. My only wish is that hopefully they can introduce a few more unique flavors in the gf pack once in a while :')

Yelp
Baked by Melissa treats are great for on the go. This is a great location at 2325 Broadway Upper West Side near places I visit. When I don't want to ruin my lunch I stop in here for one or two. I'm posting some of my favorite treats. I don't splurge with these very often. The owner/creator developed a one of a kind sweet. I hope she is successful keeping her numerous locations open. They do fit in with the take out trend. You can order on line and have them shipped too! That's my favorite way to purchase Baked by Melissa as gifts for my out of state friends! If you visit this location the employees are nice and knowledgeable. I've never had a problem with customer service if I get here early.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst customer service I've ever experienced especially with a small local business such as they are in NYC. They could fulfill an order for delivery to for a very important organization and did not return numerous calls, email attempts. It's been over 2wks and they still have not responded. Needless to say they charged my account of course. There are plenty of other baked goods company, said I would rather deal with then this one. If you can rate in negative stars, I would.

Yelp
Love love love love this Baked by Melissa cupcakes. I placed and order for the 25 cupcakes birthday box of "The latest and greatest" and picked up on the same day. This box gives you a wide variety of different flavors! My personal was one mixed with mint and chocolate!. What I love about them is that they are mini bite sizes which is just the right amount. I couldn't stop eating once I started lol. I got this for my husband as a birthday gift and he loved it (he's a cupcake lover/anything sweet) I visited the store on the upper west side and was served promptly with a smile and my order was ready at the time they said it was. Would definitely be visiting Baked again and again and I'm really happy that I literally work close to them. Do visit this cute baked by melissa for your cupcake cravings . Oh! And they also do personalized greetings with your orders!

Wendy G.

Yelp
Do NOT order anything from this store for delivery. I ordered cupcakes for my friend to congratulate her on her new job. I specified 04/03 delivery between 5-7pm. Sure enough, there was no delivery. I called at least 15 times the next day to see if we could send ASAP and no answer. I sent around 4 emails, and no answer. Finally I went into the store around 5:00 pm and showed the person there my email with proof of payment and confirmation and she said "wow we must have had a system issue" . I said, so after not reaching anyone all day, here I am with proof of purchase, so please just send the cupcakes now. Her response was "Sorry I cant, you have to wait for an email from customer service. CANT MAKE THIS UP!!! Finally this evening I got an email from customer service asking if I wanted a refund or a new delivery time. Entirely frustrating experience and disappointing to say the least. Plenty of amazing bakeries on UWS who will deliver as promised and if they do have a system glitch, I would expect anyone would make it right on the spot and NEVER tell a customer she has to wait for an email from customer service.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Very disappointed. $37 for 25 bite size cupcakes and you can no longer pick your flavors. Cupcakes all have similar bases with the exception of one or two and frostings are very sweet and some are gritty.
google avatar

Saadia N.

Yelp
I tried their mini cupcakes and honestly felt like it was wayyy too overpriced and definitely not worth the hype. The cupcakes are so tiny you can barely even taste the flavors in that one tiny bite. The cupcakes got really dry after being in the fridge for one night. The guy working there was super nice however and very helpful as well. It was my first time trying Baked by Melissa since I had been recommended to try it by many of my friends. I wasn't a fan of it.
google avatar

Abbey R.

Yelp
Baked by Melissa its delicious yes they are tiny! and maybe that's what makes it so darn good the wanting of more. The macaroons are delicious as well but not worth $2. These are also a great gift to give as they come nicely packaged and seal. You can also get a gift card and let them choose. I love this place whenever i want to treat myself to some sweets. They have lots of choices to choose from so makes you just want to try them all. The cakes are very soft and moist. I don't think i would ever ordered from online but if i see a store i would be very tempted to go inside . Also i wish they would provide the calories somewhere at the store so you would know how much trouble you're getting yourself into.

Yelp
Being the sugar fiend that I am, I do appreciate Baked by Melissa's bite-sized cupcakes, since it inevitably forces me to control and moderate my sugar intake. As an added benefit, these dainty morsels are quite adorable and pleasing to the eye. I've brought a box of these to various social gatherings and parties, and not surprisingly, they are always the first to disappear. With that said, these cupcakes don't taste any special. I find the overall texture of the cupcakes to be mushy; the icing lacks depth and comes off one-dimensional in flavor. My favorite flavor is the Milk & Cookies, which is a seasonal flavor for the holiday season. They offer their signature bite-sized cupcakes, as well as tiny macarons. At the time of writing, they are priced at $1 and $2, respectively. You can opt to order them in singles, or packs of 3, 6, 12, 25, 50, or 100. You can customize your packs, or buy a pre-packed option (comes with 25 cupcakes). I thought the employees were friendly and helpful. They have options for customers with dietary restrictions (nut, gluten, etc.)

Yelp
I've walked by this place 100× and never tired one. Until one day one of my customers gave me a box with different flavors, I was immediately addicted. I've been there a few times after. They have so many flavors and cute colors with decor on the mini cupcake(it's the cutest thing) my favorite flavors has to be the peanut butter and jelly, red velvet, triple chocolate the list goes one. It's like the lays chips you can't have just one. Super cute store these mini cupcakes are fab for bithdays gifts, party bags ect. They also have mini macaroon so yummy
google avatar

Robin T.

Yelp
Stepped in for a quick Friday treat and the sales associate was very friendly and knowledge of all the cupcakes. They had so many flavors and I was unsure of what I wanted but she was patient and gave great descriptions of each one I inquired about. I ended up getting a cookies and cream, a rainbow, a red velvet, a purple kind that had a cookies and creme filling, a double chocolate fudge kind, and another flavor that I can't remember. They were all really good, very small and good for 1-2 bites, but you know this when you come to Melissa's. I saw they have ice cream by the pint and I wish they would start selling it by the scoop

Mandy S.

Yelp
I wish I could give an negative star. I specifically asked the lady to give me a pack of cupcakes without peanut butter. I continually reminded her that my kids are highly allergic to peanut butter that is life threatening. She came back with a pack of 5x5 pack of muffins and assured me that it does not have any peanut butter. I asked her multiple times to make sure that there aren't any peanut butter cupcakes in the pack and she assured me that there weren't. After opening the pack of muffins at home, I discovered there were 2 peanut butter cupcakes included in the pack! I was appalled and had to throw alway the entire pack of cupcakes. Her negligence could have had serious life threatening ramifications!!! If you choose to go to this store, I would recommend you to be highly vigilant as the staff is careless and clearly needs additional training.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
I had high hopes for these cute little treats! I live a couple of blocks from this store and was finally able to pop in recently. I purchased 2 mini-macarons and a mini-cupcake for $5 total, which seems really expensive to me considering how little product is served (I was under the impression that items were $1 each but this seems to not be the case). The flavor of everything was overly sweet for my liking, especially the sugar cookie macaron, which had a gritty filling. I also had a cranky / curt / short-tempered employee. All in all, it was not an experience that motivated me to visit again. However, I do have to give props for the packaging, which makes it really difficult to smash your cupcakes in transit.

Yelp
Place clean love the location as far as customer service didn't enjoy it at all ask 3 questions he act like I was bothering him, it was kind of annoying almost turned me away if it wasn't for me coming so far I would of left but thT location I won't go to anymore
google avatar

Caroline T.

Yelp
Every basic b loves baked by Melissa. My best friend and I surprise each other with these too often. They're overpriced but they're so good. There's just something about a bite sized cup cake, especially when you can choose lots of flavors. I also love how they're packaged- so neat and tightly sealed. Also the logo with tiedye is pretty. My fav is tiedye and bffs fav is cookie dough :)
google avatar

Jeanna G.

Yelp
Cute little store front rite on Broadway. These little cupcakes are bites of heavenly goodness! Especially the strawberry macaron cupcake and the triple chocolate! I picked up a pack of 25 and chose 5 of my favorite flavors: cookies and cream, strawberry macaron, chocolate macaron, triple chocolate, and tie die. These little cupcakes are exspensive but every once and while its ok to treat yourself to a sweet treat or 25 lol
google avatar

Ani A.

Yelp
I've never been to a BBM where there's seating. Deftly grab and go. This particular location never has a line. That's a good thing. some of their locations do. There's metered parking along broadway. If you haven't heard, you'll see for yourself that these cupcakes may be overpriced for the size. To me, these bite size minis are a work of art. They look so pretty and taste so good. Their tiny size lets you try a few different flavors without sugar overdose. My favorites by far is the tie-dye & red velvet but their all very unique and yummy. Here are some others: Cinnamon, Triple Chocolate Fudge, Chocolate Chip Pancake, Mint Chocolate Chip, Cookies & Cream, Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and Peanut Butter Cup. They also have mini of the month. If your in store with children, you'll find the friendly staff usually offers the kiddies cute cupcake stickers and/or tattoos. Their logo tattoos are too adorable not to get extra one for yourself. These lil drops of heaven are always a big hit at parties or even as a gift. Definitely perfect for children. They wrap it in a pretty ribbon for $1 more. Tiny cupcakes. Tiny shop. Just too cute not to try!!

Yelp
Why is this place so popular? I literally have no idea how they stay in business. Nothing against the people who work there, who always seem so happy and ready to help. I should be able to patronize this place because of them. But the idea of bite sized cupcakes for like $12 is a little passe, even by NYC standards. I feel bad too because I live around the corner, literally, never go here and they are always empty. Their staff is so nice but the cupcakes leave more to be desired.

A. Y.

Yelp
My kids have always loved Baked by Melissa cupcakes (partly because the size means they get more than one treat in a sitting!), but this review is as much for the staff. Rarely do I leave a place and want to tell whoever runs that store that their team is great. Even my kids were like "wow, they were SO nice in there mommy." So a big thank you to the nice ladies working there at 2pm (ish) on Thursday!
google avatar

OM L.

Yelp
While when I was in NYC 3 years ago, I tried the Carrie cupcake in Bleecker street, the famous Mongolia. This time I am impressed by the innovation done by Melissa. They halved the size of normal cupcakes. And the rate categories are rather reasonable: 3 in box for one person, or a 6 bigger box for two share. We always thought cupcakes are sugary mountain, somehow Melissa is changing that. At least I am not guilty for finishing 3 of them by myself!
google avatar

Vaani S.

Yelp
The idea of small cupcakes is a hit. The bite size cupcakes are a delight. I love desserts but having a huge cupcake is too much on calories so these are the right size. They are cute and the flavours are wow. They are decently priced too. A must have.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
This place is expensive! As in - "you know that bite you just took? That freaking cost a dollar!" I just can't get over that! The cupcakes are like sizes of quarters. (no exaggeration) And cost a dollar each. On the upside, you get the same taste without the caloric in take. Conclusion: You'd get way more bang for the buck at crumbs.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
I've been fascinated by this place since I saw them building it a few months ago. It looks like some minimalist, futuristic Japanese bakery, with their all white interior, sleek design, and small case of tiny cupcakes. There's about 10 or 15 of them on the menu, and they all look pretty good. I don't eat this crap but my girl seemed to love them. And 3 pieces cost just $3. Cool place if you happen to be passing by.
google avatar

Soo Jin K.

Yelp
I was tired after a long day out and about, my feet hurt from walking, I was dehydrated and feeling a bit sluggish, needed a pick me up and BAM...saw "Baked by Melissa." My spirits rose quickly. When you walk in, you're greeted by the most upbeat chick. What I love about the space and concept is that it's clean. All white, with just the mini cupcakes on display. Makes sense, you want the center piece to be the product. The owner used to work in advertising so I'm glad some of her aesthetics transferred over. That's why places like this and froyo places do really well. Because everyone loves to eat in white spaces. There's a refreshing quality to a space that feels open, new and bright. As I've mentioned before, I'm not a huge cupcake girl, but I do love mini-things. Mini cokes, mini pencils, mini anything. The size of each cupcake, no joke, about the size of a quarter. So, you can just pop one in on the go. I bought 3 cupcakes for $3. Okay, the price is exorbitant, but for the novelty and the flavor options, it's worth it. You have to try it! I got 1) S'mores, 1) tie-dye vanilla and 1) orange creme. I killed all three cupcakes by the time I walked out of the store and got to the next block. Cheers!
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
What could be better than eating cupcakes for breakfast? Eating MINI cupcakes for breakfast, that's what! When you have cupcakes in the mini variety, it makes it easier for you to try different ones. And Baked By Mellissa has a lot to choose from. We tried the red velvet, mint chico chip, cookie dough, cinnamon, and cookies and cream. They were all amazing! We even got a Yoohoo to wash it all down with. This place is definitely worth hitting up at any time of day to satisfy your cupcake craving. How about opening one up in Hawaii?
google avatar

Christopher G.

Yelp
For $1.00 each you get a spoonfool (spoon-fool get it) of moist cupcake. The mini-cupcakes are cute, and fun, and pretty good. yet at the end of the day. .. they really aren't worth the price. We tried three flavors: 1) sprinkle 2) mint chocolate chip 3) double chocolate. my toddler at the Sprinkle. . .and I woofed down the mint and double chocolate. They are exactly "1 bite" or less of cupcakes. The store itself is pretty neat looking, with Ipad registers and lots of wiz/bang/hipster coolness. Looking at the future. . I wouldn't go to melissa's unless I had some cool hipster party and I needed something cool looking to decorate it and eat. . .
google avatar

Neha M.

Yelp
if you are craving something sweet, check out this cute cupcake shop. They have bite sized cupcakes for sale. I love just having one-two bites of sweets and be done, so this is perfect for just that. All the flavors were awesome, and I had no complaints about them. I loved the way the tie-dye looked, but the taste was nothing special. Red velvet is always my favorite, perfectly moist with the tastiest cream cheese frosting on top. Chocolate chip pancake, actually did taste just as it sounds, that would probably be my favorite. I just checked their website, and they have chocolate dipped cupcakes now....My does that sound good. I need to go back to NYC and try one of those mini cupcakes again!

Nick A.

Yelp
Upper East Side @ 86th St 206 East 86th St, New York, NY 10028 between 2nd & 3rd Ave is the location with worst attitude, bad management in the store. This location have very unfriendly staff, even when they serve you they throw cap cakes. Two times went there, both times I had bad experience with staff. Never come back to this location.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of Baked by Melissa ever since it was only a teeny store front in SoHo years ago with just five flavors and you were limited on the number of cupcakes you could buy. I'm thrilled that this place has been fortunate to endure such great success. It doesn't hurt that the creator has the same name as me. As you can see by the numerous pictures, these cupcakes are small one or two bite flavor filled magnificent cupcakes. They are a bit pricey but they are an indulgence for special occasions when you've had a really bad day or want to share with some friends. I highly recommend buying the 25 pack of cupcakes flavors of your choosing for $20. That's not a bad deal considering how much sugar is in there. Ideal to share with a few friends or to bring to a gathering. The place itself is still a small stand and is just for take out. I like that this is no frills. It will help maintain a
google avatar

Tanya O.

Yelp
My husband brought me Baked by Melissa from his business trip. Very pretty packaging box. I finally got to try their cupcakes. The cupcakes are literally bite sized and very colorful. They are expensive for the size of cupcakes. $1 each about dollar coin. All the flavors are tasted but my favorites are red velvet and cookies & cream. I'm from Southern California and they willing to ship to me. Free shipping on orders $90+. I highly recommend them for gift.
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
Yes this place is a rip off but the cupcakes are addictive. I grabbed a set of 25 for a birthday party and everyone was raving over them. The cake is super soft and moist and just awesome.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Way too freaking cute. I feel like I'm the giant in Mario bros and could grab handfuls of these mini cupcakes at a time. Love how they are bite sized and don't make a huge mess. Great for those who want to order multiple flavors or those who are indecisive since you can eat 6 for the size of one! The chocolate dipped ones are my absolute favorite. Definitely pricey, but also worth it. They have cute gift wrapping and boxes as well which are great for a quick grab n go addition to coffee or tea with friends. Addictive and dangerous so don't say I didn't warn you!
google avatar

Carmen E.

Yelp
Love, love, love! The cupcakes are bite-sized. It is pricey because each mini bite size cupcake is basically 1$ each but like it's worth it! The people at the store are great and always recommend you some to try out. I would recommend getting the 25$ one because it's just so many options in one go and you won't get tired of it because it comes with a variety of flavors in it. Super convenient spot and super easy to purchase and go! The tye-dye cupcakes are so cute and neon and i recommend to get it if you have a kid at him they'll obsess over them because they're just soo colorful. I think the concept of the cupcakes being bite size is amazing because you're not overwhelmed by having the same one and getting tired of it. Customer service at this store was great, I came here with my boyfriend and the guy who assisted us was really nice, helping us check which bundles were right for us. The packaging is great because the cupcakes won't move around and get messed up.
google avatar

Joey R.

Yelp
"Baked by an oversized oven" Not impressed with the flavours nor the tourist traffic. I do love that they are bite size which makes it convenient to eat more than one. And yes they are good and moist. Also allows you to sample more than one type. Great if you're looking to buy a lil treat for your whole office and not spend a ton of money. I discovered that their website will allow you to design your own cupcake batch which i thought was cool. Otherwise if yer looking for a REAL cupcake sprinkles is the way to go.
google avatar

Yunji L.

Yelp
Flavor of December: Snow Covered Pretzel Snow covered pretzel cupcakes are really good! I love sweet + salty treats and this one is well done :) A cluster of hard pretzel bits covered with white icing on top of a mini white cake. It's as good looking as it tastes!
google avatar

Daneliz R.

Yelp
Went here with Alessa M on Thursday night to try the cupcake of the month. It was called Snow Covered Pretzel. Not a huge fan of this months cupcake but the young lady working there was a total doll! Extremely friendly, great customer service. Peanut Butter & Jelly is still my favorite & a compete under dog when it comes to amazing flavors! Very excited to have a Baked By Melissas in the Upper West Side!
google avatar

Renae C.

Yelp
These mini morsels are not light on flavor! Perfect cute little confections and so very tasty! Great for kids and/or adults who want to try a variety of flavors and not commit to one dessert! Stop in and try one of everything you won't be disappointed or stuffed!
google avatar

Esther C.

Yelp
Not my cup of tea or rather cupcake. While tiny cupcakes may be a novelty, these cupcakes are soaked in butter and just do not live up to the hype.
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
always a place I'm happy to be guiltily drawn to, every time I walk by I tell myself I wont go in then that I wont buy anything but by the end I've ended up with some delicious treat that while a little too expensive I'm never too upset about my purchase. These also make great apology cupcakes guaranteed to get you out of any bad mistake and earn to forgiveness of those you've wronged
google avatar

MASIEL U.

Yelp
these cupcakes are super cute and super small. I tasted the red velvet, cookies and cream and the s'mores. I did like the red velvet, tasted better s'mores from chickalicious, the chocolate of the cookies and cream for me was to rich. I would commend to give it a try if you have never had them. I will most likely get them again if I am near a baked by Melissa store and have a sweet tooth. But i would not go out of my way for these cupcakes.
google avatar

Anam K.

Yelp
I think quality trumps size. Even though these are small and bite sized, they are delicious and at the same time, not too filling. I'm not a fan of feeling utterly full after binging on dessert which is why these cupcakes suit me. Great portion control, plus a rich burst of flavor. People who think other wise don't know their desserts and I can't comprehend all the complaints I've read at the bottom. I would love to see baked by melissa expand to become a cute cafe that offers tea, coffee and sit down tables. The space would be so colorful! Maybe in the future...

Nicole V.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered 4 individual boxes of cupcakes for favors for my mother's 60th Birthday weekend. They shipped 3 of the 4 boxes completely empty. Since I won't be getting the boxes in time for the party I have to go out tonight to purchase a replacement. Mistakes happen but what's important is how a company handles their error. 1. I received a call from a customer service rep who said they would be willing to try and have them shipped out for the time I need or they would refund me for $37. I paid $51! 2. They said because they shipped I still have to pay for shipping. They practically shipped nothing and the one box I did receive is useless to me. This was completely their error and for some reason they are saying I should still pay? Terrible. 3. I tried to just return the whole order but their incredibly rude customer service team, Charles and Josh refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor or offer me any assistance. I've disputed the charge with my credit card company and will be filling a claim with the better business bureau. Buyer beware with this company. The cupcakes are yummy but you're taking a chance with them. They don't stand behind their products and customer service is horrible.
google avatar

Chris K.

Yelp
Loved the cupcakes, so delicious but quite expensive for bite sized. I recommend the cinnamon. Best one there. I also loved the chocolate chip pancake.

Mary K.

Yelp
DON'T BUY HERE!!!! We sent these as gifts over the holidays at great expense - they were delivered with NO WARNING to freeze or refrigerate immediately and ALL WENT BAD as most people were not able to eat immediately/some were away and they do not last more than a day - THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICES WERE APPALLING!!!! REFUSED to replace them. This is disgusting business practice.
google avatar

Edgar S.

Yelp
Pretty damned good....nice open space....cute cashier (chick w light eyes) and some good ass cupcakes. $1 gets you a bute size cupcake. I got 2 cookies and cream and it fulfilled my snack mood. thumbs up!
google avatar

Tina Y.

Yelp
These cup cakes are unbearably sweet! The sweetness overpowers all the intricate flavors there are supposed to be. Well, maybe the only flavor I could detect was chocolate. For the rest, I couldn't taste anything except for the predominant sweetness. Out of the desperation for a quick, fancy gift idea, I came here and bought a box of 25 for my neighbor. I also bought one box of the same size for myself as a treat (or a torture in a hindsight). My husband and I only managed to finish 1/3 of it, and the remaining 2/3 stayed in my fridge for almost 2 weeks, and I ended up throwing them away for fear of worrying that they would turn bad. I just hope my neighbor and her husband don't have diabetes....

Yelp
The mini cupcakes are delish! Flavor, texture, smell, presentation are all great. Cupcakes have been all the rage for some time now so I wonder how long this idea will last but I for one hope it sticks around. My favorite flavors are PB&J and Cookies & Cream. One thing I like about them is that they ship all over the US and I recommend this as an alternative to sending chocolates though I haven't actually yet had the need to do this. There are multiple locations in NYC. If their prices were just a bit lower then I would give them 5 stars.

Yelp
I love the Upper West Side location! I also love their bite-size cupcakes since they're sweet and less than 200 calories. The tie-dye flavor is my all time favorite...can't go wrong with more than one of those... also these cupcakes last in the fridge for quite a while so if you happen to buy too many just stick them in the fridge and treat your friends when they come over
