I absolutely love this bakery in Long Beach! It's not just a place to pick up pastries—it's a full experience. The shop is always beautifully decorated, changing with each holiday, and it instantly lifts your mood the moment you walk in. Every year, I order my birthday cake from here, and every year I’m blown away. Somehow, they manage to make each cake better than the last. Not only are the cakes stunning, but the flavors are also incredible—moist, fresh, and made with top-quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. Whether it’s cupcakes, cookies, or seasonal treats, everything I’ve ever ordered has been a hit with family and friends. It’s one of those rare places where the goodies look and taste amazing. I’ll definitely keep coming back—and I always recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable, beautiful, and delicious bakery!

As someone who was born and raised in Long Beach, Baked By The Ocean is the kind of place this town didn't know it desperately needed. I can say with full confidence, we've never had anything like this... it's pastel, playful and full of personality, from the bubbles outside, to the "hey beach!" greeting you when you walk in ... yes "beach" get into it. The desserts are out of control, beautiful and indulgent. The frozen drinks? dangerously good & dangerously CUTE! The vibe? immaculate. As someone who is a rainbow cookie connoisseur, I've got to say the rainbow bars are some of the best I've ever had - so fresh every single time. Sure, it's girly and insta-worthy, but don't get it twisted - this spot is for everyone who loves yummy dessert and a little beach town magic. It's fun without trying too hard and cool without being "exclusive". Absolutely love the way this little bakery represents our little home. Catch me all summer with a Frozé and a pink box filled with goodies.

The attention to detail in every baked creation is nothing short of breathtaking—each treat is a work of art that’s almost too beautiful to eat (but trust me, you’ll want to). From the first bite, it’s clear that quality and flavor are top priority. Whether it’s a delicate cupcake, a custom cake, or seasonal pastries, everything tastes as good as it looks—if not better. Absolutely obsessed with Baked by the Ocean!!! It’s a staple in Long Beach and not your average bakery!!! You can tell the owner, Cat, has poured her heart and soul into every detail of the shop, from the stylish decor to the tasty treats…I promise you will not be disappointed!!!! I have ordered several cakes from Baked and every single one was exactly what I envisioned. Most recently, Cat did my brother’s wedding cake (a Halloween theme) and it was the star of the party!!!! Everyone raved about the flavor and the design was exactly what the bride envisioned!!!! Everyone that works there is an absolute doll and I’ve never had a baked good that I didn’t like. Treat yourself and head to Baked by the Ocean ASAP!!!!

As a local Expert Food Reviewer, I’ve been to more bakeries than I can count and Baked by the Ocean is the real deal. Catherine is an absolute gem, you can tell she puts her heart into every detail of this place. The inside is not only spotless but seriously cool-looking. The display case alone looks like dessert heaven. I brought my two nephews in and we each picked a few things off the menu. Cookies, cake pops, you name it. Everything we tried was fresh & flavorful, It absolutely hit the spot. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and they can’t wait to come back with me. When I went to leave this review, I saw someone had the nerve to post a 1-star. That person clearly doesn’t know their bundt from their elbow — they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

This was maybe the best cookie I've ever eaten. I love chocolate chip cookies and eat them often so this is not light praise I'm throwing around. We also got an incredible box of treats to go. 10/10.

easily one of my favorite spots. The rainbow cookies are incredible—perfect texture and flavor—and the donuts? One bite and I started Googling bail bond rates. You can really taste the quality in everything. Cat, the owner, is awesome—super friendly and clearly pays close attention to every detail. The whole place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and it’s obvious a lot of love goes into the work. Whether you're grabbing something quick or treating yourself, this bakery never disappoints.
