New York Bakeries and Restaurants Are Making Better Rainbow Cookies | Eater NY

"At Baked by the Ocean in Long Beach, I saw Cat Schimenti’s bombastic rainbow bars with thicker, more prominent chocolate and raspberry jam that includes seeds for a subtle crunch; she uses French almond paste (about 30 pounds a week) and cuts each bar by hand. Though labor-intensive and priced at $4.50, they’ve been a hit — she sells about 200 rainbow bars every Saturday, offers boxes of smaller cookies for parties, makes custom rainbow cakes, and even plants bar trim into giant cookies." - Caroline Hatchett

As someone who was born and raised in Long Beach, Baked By The Ocean is the kind of place this town didn't know it desperately needed. I can say with full confidence, we've never had anything like this... it's pastel, playful and full of personality, from the bubbles outside, to the "hey beach!" greeting you when you walk in ... yes "beach" get into it. The desserts are out of control, beautiful and indulgent. The frozen drinks? dangerously good & dangerously CUTE! The vibe? immaculate. As someone who is a rainbow cookie connoisseur, I've got to say the rainbow bars are some of the best I've ever had - so fresh every single time. Sure, it's girly and insta-worthy, but don't get it twisted - this spot is for everyone who loves yummy dessert and a little beach town magic. It's fun without trying too hard and cool without being "exclusive". Absolutely love the way this little bakery represents our little home. Catch me all summer with a Frozé and a pink box filled with goodies.

Got a cake for our daughter’s first birthday here. Came out amazing! Several people were talking about how beautiful and delicious it was. Will 100% be back. More than 1 person asked us where we got the cake for their future needs.

Google
5 stars!!! Every time I visit Bakes by the Ocean, it feels like stepping into a sweet dream. The attention to detail in every baked creation is nothing short of breathtaking—each treat is a work of art that’s almost too beautiful to eat (but trust me, you’ll want to). From the first bite, it’s clear that quality and flavor are top priority. Whether it’s a delicate cupcake, a custom cake, or seasonal pastries, everything tastes as good as it looks—if not better. You can tell there’s so much heart and passion behind every detail. Truly my favorite bakery, hands down. A hidden gem worth every visit! Love these beaches!

Google
I absolutely love this bakery in Long Beach! It's not just a place to pick up pastries—it's a full experience. The shop is always beautifully decorated, changing with each holiday, and it instantly lifts your mood the moment you walk in. Every year, I order my birthday cake from here, and every year I’m blown away. Somehow, they manage to make each cake better than the last. Not only are the cakes stunning, but the flavors are also incredible—moist, fresh, and made with top-quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. Whether it’s cupcakes, cookies, or seasonal treats, everything I’ve ever ordered has been a hit with family and friends. It’s one of those rare places where the goodies look and taste amazing. I’ll definitely keep coming back—and I always recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable, beautiful, and delicious bakery!

As a local Expert Food Reviewer, I’ve been to more bakeries than I can count and Baked by the Ocean is the real deal. Catherine is an absolute gem, you can tell she puts her heart into every detail of this place. The inside is not only spotless but seriously cool-looking. The display case alone looks like dessert heaven. I brought my two nephews in and we each picked a few things off the menu. Cookies, cake pops, you name it. Everything we tried was fresh & flavorful, It absolutely hit the spot. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and they can’t wait to come back with me. When I went to leave this review, I saw someone had the nerve to post a 1-star. That person clearly doesn’t know their bundt from their elbow — they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

Google
Absolutely obsessed with Baked by the Ocean!!! It’s a staple in Long Beach and not your average bakery!!! You can tell the owner, Cat, has poured her heart and soul into every detail of the shop, from the stylish decor to the tasty treats…I promise you will not be disappointed!!!! I have ordered several cakes from Baked and every single one was exactly what I envisioned. Most recently, Cat did my brother’s wedding cake (a Halloween theme) and it was the star of the party!!!! Everyone raved about the flavor and the design was exactly what the bride envisioned!!!! Everyone that works there is an absolute doll and I’ve never had a baked good that I didn’t like. Treat yourself and head to Baked by the Ocean ASAP!!!!

Google
This was maybe the best cookie I've ever eaten. I love chocolate chip cookies and eat them often so this is not light praise I'm throwing around. We also got an incredible box of treats to go. 10/10.

Google
Baked goods packed with flavor and personality! Located in the West End of Long Beach, this bakery is a local favorite for sweet treats and vibes. Inside of the store is tastefully arranged with displays and artwork to match the culture. The rainbow bars are my personal favorite...so soft and delicious!

Yelp
On my usual quest to find a quiet place to work before meeting a friend for a drink and this time we just so happen to be in Long Beach. So there I am, driving down W Beech and I see a big bright pink wall that has "Baked" painted on it. Obviously, your girl had to get her baked goods on and inquire about a place where she can work on her laptop for a bit. I walked into the most ADORABLE and delicious baked goods shop. Beachy vibes with a PLETHORA of options. Merch was so cool and included a "Baked" beach towel. It looks like the specialize in their rainbow cookies, but I don't really like rainbow cookies so you might have to try those for yourself. I grabbed two cake pops, chocolate and carrot cake. Both really satisfied my sweet tooth. The kicker, THEY SERVE ALCOHOL! Beer, hard seltzers and other lighter beverages, but I mean sweets and booze...how can you go wrong. I refrained from grabbing a alcoholic beverage this time around, but you better believe I will do that next time. Finally, the staffer behind the counter was super sweet and patient with my disbelief in how cute this place was and the variety of options they have. And making a decision about food is always so hard. Not only was she very nice and did her best to advise in my decision.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times and tried numerous items. The place is nicely decorated and the food looks better than it tastes. The one thing I would recommend are the chocolate chip cookies. They're thin, right amount of chewiness, not overly chocolately, and with a little salt. Everything else I've tried is mid. Service is not great. Employees look miserable and robotic

Yelp
Been wanting to stop by and today was in the area. The bakery is on the far west end of Long Beach. It's cute inside and they have a large selection of items including various cookies, cakes, tarts, and more. The sprinkle cookies caught my eye immediately and I took two of them, some chocolate chip, and a few other things. This little roll shaped thing looked interesting and it was a mini cannoli (tinier than normal) but it was so good. I definitely will come back to try some other things-the rainbow cookies look delicious. Best sprinkle cookies I've ever had!

Yelp
Service is very slow. I've ate the baked goods from here before and they were good. This is really the only place in Long Beach to get cookies, donuts, muffins, etc...don't really have another option for anything but a donut for $4.50 :/ 3 starts because there isn't a menu with prices anywhere and the service was so slow.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Amazing local bakery, the rainbow cookie bars are a staple dessert item with my family

Liz N.

Yelp
Baked by the Ocean is amazing & a must stop when you are in Long Beach. So many yummy FRESH options, the hardest part for me is choosing. I've also ordered custom cakes for birthdays that are always perfect. Great deserts and the place is immaculately clean which makes me super happy!
google avatar

Gary M.

Yelp
Every item in the showcase is very special. The baker obviously loves her craft. The jelly donut required two hands while consuming. The jelly was different and delicious. If you are dining at a nearby restaurant skip dessert there and stop at Baked by the ocean. You'll have a difficult time making a decision and will definitely take some items home for the next day.

Yelp
Pink + disco balls + baked goods = heaven! I wanted literally everything! For being Mother's Day at 1ish, they weren't busy at all & I was in & out in a few min!

Yelp
I'm not really sure what happened here. My friend and I walked in and we looked around. My friend ordered one funfetti cookie and two cookie sandwiches that had buttercream frosting in the middle. I was still deciding and I asked what some things were. I decided to also have a cookie sandwich. I saw the girl that was helping us grab something else, that I didn't order. When I told her what she grabbed was not what I ordered, she said she gave me what I ordered. Well she didn't... My friend's order was correct, but she gave me what appeared to be a mini cheesecake. My friend is nice and gave me one of his cookie sandwiches in exchange for the mini cheesecake. Now the taste... The cookie started off tasting fine. As I got to the center it began to taste very salty. Also, for what we ordered it came to about $23. They do not take cards if your order is below $20. I feel this place isn't worth the hype at all. Overrated and overpriced.

B J.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place negative stars! Stop and shop has a better bakery. This place is overpriced for what you get and the service was awful. Save your money and go somewhere else
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Just beautiful... everything in this place is just beautiful! The baked goods, the colors, the vibes, the decorations really just makes me happy being there. I couldn't decide what to get when I walked in, but the sign "No masky, no pastry" really made me laugh! Even the staff behind the counter was just super friendly and helpful! I ended up with a sprinkled Rice Krispie treat that was beautifully layered in bright colors and a rainbow cookie cake pop that was covered in adorable sprinkles. The cake pop might have been the best rainbow cookie I've ever had! And the thick chocolate surrounding it was heavenly! I haven't tried the Rice Krispie treat yet... but looking forward to that later AND going back to this wonderful place in the near future!

Yelp
Was visiting the area and was in search of a dessert place and it was like we won the dessert lotto. What a cute and vibrantly colorful dessert find! ***In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.*** My 3 friends and I were smitten right away by the very pink interior and wanted to buy everything because everything looked so delicious! These are the desserts that I ordered. -rainbow cookie - So good! And, surprisingly, not that sweet! -creme brulee - This was not that good. It was grainy and the top layer tasted very greasy, but the bottom part tasted a little bit better. -blueberry creme brulee - My friend got this and she said it wasn't that good. -cake pop - I got this for my nephew and he said this was his favorite. I agree that it was delicious and again, expected it to be super sweet, but it wasn't. The staff was very patient and helpful as we hemmed and hawed about what to get and as we asked a lot of questions about their desserts. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely go back for another rainbow cookie and to try more of their desserts. If you are contemplating whether to go, I would definitely encourage you to stop by and I bet you won't be able to resist trying something. If you go with kids, you definitely won't be able to walk out empty handed because they will want everything in there. Tips: -This place is definitely an Instagram worthy place with all of their pretty desserts and colorful interior. -There were no prices listed for drinks or their desserts when I was there, so you could either blindly purchase everything or you would have to ask about prices for each item or drink. -There is limited outdoor seating in front and at the side of the building. There's a cute, pink picnic bench. -Don't know if this is important, but if you order one item, like just the cake pop, they will put it in a small wax paper bag, which I thought wasn't a good way to pack something to go (can break or outer chocolate can melt) unless you are eating it right away. If you order multiple items, then they pack your purchases in the pink cake box, which secured everything for me as I was going back to NJ.

Kristin L.

Yelp
if I could leave -5 stars I would. DO NOT GO. awful bakery. awful service. overpriced. I don't mind over paying for something that's worth it, but it was GROSS. and super rude. I can't believe they are still in business

Yelp
Baked by the ocean rainbow cookie bars are actually the best thing I've ever had. I'm so particular about my rainbow cookies - and out of every bakery, old school Italian, new age, etc. - these are hands down my favorite ever. Everything is delicious and fun. (And my dog is obsessed with their peanut butter dog cookies.)

Kyle D.

Yelp
absolutely love this place !! not only is the baked a total vibe but the pastries are delicious especially the rainbow cookies, and the Oreo chocolate chip!! can't wait to get my hands on some frose this summer !!!

Evert P.

Yelp
Awesomeness. Traveled to the area for a wedding and found this gem. Everything we tried was great.
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
Had the raved-about rainbow cookie today, which is this massive three-layer log of marzipan, chocolate, and sprinkles. So moist and delicious. The brownies with Oreo and chocolate chips are so fudgy and rich - such a great chocolate fix when you need it (yeah, girls!) 5 stars!!!!!!

Yelp
We got the cupcakes, cake pops and a few cake slices all were very good and fresh! Great way to end a day in Long Beach

Yelp
My absolute favorite place by my house. I stopped in one day and fell In love. The bakery itself is so cute and young and hip, about time right. The decor the music everything just fits well together. The baked items themselves were delicious. The cookies were soft, the cheesecake was creamy, the brownie and peanut butter was a good mix. The cupcakes oh the cupcakes I am a sucker for a good red velvet. I absolutely hands down love it! It was the perfect amount of frosting to cake ratio. Absolutely delicious I went back the next day to get another one. I will definitely come here more often and tell everyone I know as well.

Yelp
We have tried several times to like BAKED BY THE OCEAN but the quality is just not there. The pastries "look" beautiful, very creative and lots of bright colors but everything we've tried misses the mark. Oatmeal cookies are way too sweet, heart shaped passion fruit mini hearts were a gooey mess of flavors and OUTRAGEOUSLY over priced at $11!!!!!!!! Yes, the store is adorable with its "hip Barbie" vibe and high end offerings, (SAIL AWAY cold canned coffees, for example,) but the quality, flavor is sub par. I won't be back...
google avatar

Linda D.

Yelp
We keep passing this on the way to the beach. Decided to stop. The name is so perfect! Being it's near the ocean! Cute store. Lots of good looking items! All very nicely put together. Bought a bunch of stuff. We liked it.
google avatar

Joanna D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious cookies and cakes but boyyyyy are they expensive! I got 4 tiny s'mores tarts (2 bites), 2 peanut butter jelly cookies and 2 rainbow cookie towers. $45!!!!! I just feel like the prices are outrageous for a few cookies and cakes. Yes, they were delicious but the price is really out of control. Worth a try for sure, especially the s'mores tarts, those are my favorite.
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
I have been following BAKED by the Ocean on Instagram for a long time and was so happy to finally stop in. Everything is gorgeous, bright, and super creative! It's definitely not your average bakery. I highly recommend the Twix tart. It was gooey, drippy and the perfect amount of sweetness. The brightly colored Rice Krispie treat was also great. Although I know it's not a coffee shop, I would like to see a few more coffee options (only have cold brew or regular hot coffee).
google avatar

Kioki H.

Yelp
Stopped in to see what was inside the cutest little shop!!! The energy from the outside was so fun with bubbles and shades of pastels and pinks. There is such a cool vibe when you enter and boy oh boy are there so many sweet treats to choose from. The staff was both inviting and kind. Had a great experience and will def be back!!
google avatar

Toni C.

Yelp
So great! The decor in this shop is so fun and the desserts were delicious. I tried their rainbow cookie chocolate chip and rainbow cookie bar and I was sold! the rainbow cookies are perfectly baked and if you are a lover of these cookies you will not be dissatisfied.

Sandy L.

Yelp
I'd like to take the time to share my experience at Baked by the Ocean in Long Beach. I been going there for the past couple of summers and recommended a bunch of my friends to go to this bakery and posted a lot of photos on Instagram to help promote this business. It was my first time ordering a Birthday cake from from them. I heard such amazing things about their cakes so I decided to surprise my cousin for her BIRTHDAY and I decided to order the "present cake" for Christmas Eve. I ordered it a month in advance, and requested it to say "Happy Birthday Nicole" on it and to be ready Friday, December 24th. I was so excited to pick up the cake for her and not only did the cake not have Happy Birthday written on it the girl at the counter was beyond rude. Zero customer service skills and acted like it was my fault and it was clearly written on the receipt "Happy Birthday Nicole." I stood shocked in awe that three people working behind a bakery counter that no one could write "Happy Birthday Nicole" on a cake? The girl assisting me then proceeded to inform me that the baker who baked my custom cake had the flu and went home early. This left me disgusted thinking I was going to poison my family with a contagious virus during the holiday time with pure viral poison. The presentation of the cake looked amazing but when we had a slice it was hard and stale. I was so embarrassed and extremely disappointed in front of my whole family and the birthday girl. Most of all because her birthday cake was awful and her day was destroyed when it came time ti eat the cake. We wound up throwing the cake out because it was stale and inedible as if it were the last one they had leftover from the previous week. We ended up getting a cake from stop and shop to salvage what was left of the night and the cake was far better. I reached out to the owner twice and no response on how to rectify the waste of $60 on a cake that had to be reserved with no writing on it as ordered. This also shows lack of pride and care as a business owner, she appears to care more about her social media platforms than reputation of her business. How rude and unprofessional I will never go back there and now tell all my family and friends very disappointed. No wonder why the girl at the counter has zero customer service skills. She learned from her lovely owner, Catherine

Yelp
I've been wanting to come to Baked for months, but LB is a hike for me. I finally made it the other day. I was quite impressed! I avidly follow them on insta and enjoy their baking/decorating videos they post daily on their story. The girls at the front were fantastic. So friendly and patient. The display was fresh and full when I visited (late afternoon on a Friday) I ordered few things so I could taste as much as possible. What I would get again: Rainbow cookie bar (moist!), Whoopie pie, brownie, chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal cookie, jelly donut (it's ginormous) The only thing I didn't like were the cupcakes. I ordered 3. The icing was delicious, but the cakes were dense and dry. One of the cupcakes also had small pearl sprinkles on-top that were incredibly hard to bite down on. I could have gotten a less than stellar batch, so by all means try them if you give them a visit!

Yelp
really cute bakery!! i heard good things about it through instagram and i love long beach. i am a huge rainbow cookie fan so when i saw these two rainbow desserts i was in LOVE. i did inquire about other desserts, (i wish i tried the chocolate skull cakes with edible glitter but maybe next time) but ended up with the 3 layer rainbow cookie it was about $5 and the cake tower that was 7 layers for like $11. i did like the three layer better. there was a generous amount of raspberry jelly. the cake tower i'm happy i tried it but it was just okay. it's pretty and i'm sure a lot of work went into it being made but it's over priced in my opinion, i was happy with the short ones. i will come back and try more things! also wish desserts had a note cards infront of them, so the girl at the counter didn't have to tell me everything that was there!
google avatar

Nicolette T.

Yelp
I always come in on the weekends for coffee and something sweet to eat. Place has such a cute Miami vibe- which I love! All desserts are delicious. Designs on the sweets and cakes are super cute and different. I decided to order a cake for my sisters 25th. It was reasonably priced and DELICIOUS! Everyone loved the cake. It was super moist and not dry at all. I will DEFINITELY order another cake from them again.
google avatar

Barbara L.

Yelp
This is a small, but VERY cute bakery in Long Beach. I tried the frose, which was delicious. It came with a cute paper straw and a strawberry! My friend and I also had the rainbow cookie bar, which was delicious. The rainbow cookie bar colors deviate from the traditional rainbow cookie colors, but I really liked their spin on it!
google avatar

Yelp
We drove from Manhattan and was worth the trip! Beautiful day in Long Beach ! Ocean ,Sun & Baked goods ! High quality baked goods! I loved the cup cake! Really good butter cream! ( not to sweet & perfect ) Doughnuts are so tasty,my husband said these are better then some places in the city ! They are filled to the brim with raspberry jelly ! Rainbow bars are the best ! Skip the desserts at the restaurants and go to Baked by the Ocean, Long Beach! Chocolate chip cookies are so good and a lot of chips! Corner bake shop with upscale & good quality sweets ! Be back soon!

Yelp
Everything that I got from there was delicious! It was fresh, full of flavor and different! If your'e looking for a dessert that fun, cute, yummy and unique check them out! Yum n fun!

Yelp
Yes! Yes! Yes! As soon as you open the door its like Alice In Wonderland. Super friendly guy at counter. Get ready to drop the jaw. A little pricey but the splurge was worth the flavors and art work. Get the OMG sprinkle sugar cookies..melt in your mouth! The heart shaped cookies with a fruit filling (4got name)..double OMG.
google avatar

Caleigh N.

Yelp
The decorate and aesthetic is super cute and fun. Place is small, and you can't sit inside right now due to COVID. The desserts are plentiful and look amazing. There are so many options to choose from. Only downside is that there is no menu or signs indicating what desserts are which and that can be problematic monetary wise and for allergies. They also offer alcoholic beverages and coffee. The desserts were delicious and coffee was very good. Overall I definitely recommend a visit to this place!

Yelp
Really wanted to give this place five stars (as I am a huge fan of sweet treats), but there were some service-related issues that are hard to look past. Before I get into that, I'll highlight the positives. 1. The pastries and baked goods are delicious (fairly essential criteria). The red velvet cupcake was moist and there was just the right amount of butter cream on top (some places are a little over-zealous with the cupcake toppings). The rainbow cookies and cinnamon donut were fantastic: fresh, not overly doughy/thick, and generous portioning. Getting the donut hole with the donut made me chuckle -- honestly have never seen that before. 2. Atmosphere is really inviting. Owner clearly invested time and effort into nailing the details and presenting a cohesive theme. The end product is polished and refined. 3. Menu is not overwhelming and is approachable. There are plenty of choices but not too many. Always nice not having to pore over the countless possibilities. What can be improved: 1. Seems to be a disconnect between staff members. The owner is on top of her stuff, but some of the employees do not seem to be on the same page. We had to ask for multiple things that were on the menu but not in display cases (apparently some of the staff did not fill the cases before opening). 2. Staff seemed a bit disinterested. Had to remind the staff member 2-3 times what I ordered because things were missing. When asking if they had rainbow cookies (because reviews suggested they did and they were great), the person shrugged off the question. Luckily the owner overheard and let us know they have plenty and they should already be out there. Oof. I can chalk both these up to the operating challenges of a newly-launched business. Hoping these get worked through. Looking forward to coming back/updating this review if things have been ironed out.

Yelp
Customer service is sub par! I called inquiring about a price of a Thanksgiving cake, and when I wanted to place the order via phone- I was told they only take orders via email... kinda was thrown off by that response so I was like ah maybe next time... Okay fast forward to December 6 they just listed there holiday specials so I emailed...waited 24 hours no responses...emailed again from the original email received a response back quickly about the price... awesome emailed back saying I'm interested how would they like payment and what are there hours of operations for christmas week...again no response...(24 hours again) I totally understand if your busy especially during holiday season but the lack of responses (maybe hire temp seasonal staff to allievate the overflow) just lost you a customer. And when I finally did get a response it was when I said I'm no longer interested...and just got no problem- happy holidays.... Obviously they don't care or want business... As small business a website would go a long way. It would help by showing the prrices and possibly ordering via website more comfortable especially since an acknowledgment emails is sent to the customer also. Thanks but no thanks! Not worth it at all-

Yelp
This place was the cutest bakery I've ever seen in my life! Its a wonderland of desserts and treats, for all ages. You must try the rainbow cookie hearts made of the most delicious chocolate and almond paste, SO Good!!!!

Yelp
Omggg this place is so freaking good. I've been living in Long Beach down the block from this place for almost a year. I went in today to order a bday cake but sadly they aren't taking orders. Oh well. I decide to get a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake slice and a raspberry macaroon to go. One bite into my cheesecake and I was sold. Literally the best I've ever had and I've tried many over the years. The lil dollop of frosting was heavenly. My lil macaroon was made to perfection. The perfect crisp out side and soft inside with the delicious filling. I regret only getting one. I can't wait to go back and try more things!!!

Victoria S.

Yelp
I tried a variety of things from this bakery and none of them are worth the price. The cupcake tasted old and bland so I would skip that. The other things were okay but when factoring in price it's just not worth it, it's mostly just nice to look at, but not to eat. Nothing is labeled, there are no prices on anything so when you see your total your like wtf. I can't believe I only got four items but the total was almost 30 dollars, I wouldn't be mad if the portion sizes were not bite size and the taste was better. Afterwards I was so disappointed in the product, I went to a different bakery (shoutout to the rvc bakery for making my day better after this nonsense). Save your money and your stomaches.

Yelp
We picked up a slice of their brownie cookie treat. It was a cookie in the bottom with a brownie on top. Definitely a sweet lover's delight. They have a huge selection of interesting desserts. The shop is a desertie's heaven.

Yelp
This is a very unique place. It has a cool vibe to it 10/10. However desserts themselves are 6/10 taste wise. I would say definitely come here for a great experience.
google avatar

Steven G.

Yelp
So, let's start with the good. The shop is really cute and the items look amazing. Amongst other things I purchased cinnamon buns and donuts. Both were amazing... In fact, the donuts were the first to go. So on the bad side I also purchased a cake. I don't know if it was not entirely fresh or (and I am giving the benefit of the doubt) I just made a bad choice of cake but the cake was not good. It was extremely dry and did not have the sweetness that I would expect a cake to have. It looked beautiful and when cutting into the slice we were excited. When we tasted it however it was pretty disappointing... I would be willing to give Baked another chance but I will be much more careful about the items I pick.

Yelp
What can you say about perfection. Go and you will love ! Place is great Baked yummies excellent ! Staff friendly.

Yelp
Got a strawberry short cake, the cake was so hard and the strawberrys were almost spoiled. I couldn't even eat it honestly, very disappointing.

Yelp
You have to understand - after leaving a review last summer and seeing this place in action over the year, I need to keep all 5 stars up. This place is extraordinary - and that's an understatement. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with positive vibes, friendly faces and a delicious smell. After looking behind the glass at the huge variety of a selection offered, to walking in front of the pastry case at the even more delicious treats. The quality is amazing and the taste matches that. This place has become a staple in Long Beach, and the community is so beyond grateful to have Chef Catherine Schimenti as a member. Chef Cat is so beyond kind, energetic, positive and talented. Her manager Casey is also top of the notch amazing and helpful whenever a customer needs assistance. I assure you, when you walk into this business - you're truly in great hands.

Yelp
I'm so willing to travel to this place ! The selection and variety is unmatched and I like how there is unique desserts as well as various plays on classic desserts as well ! Some of the friendliest staff I've encountered in the culinary/ baking world, which is reason alone to come back! Please drop the playlist link whether you use Spotify or Apple Music because the music is so fire and I feel like I'm getting club vibes too from this establishment

Yelp
This place is so cute from the outside and even cuter on the inside! From the decor to the little uniforms the employees wear I loveddd it! I wish I lived closer because not only is it cute, but the baked goods are OUT OF THIS WORLD. This owner has some serious serious talent. I had a gluten free banana muffin that I never would've known it was gluten free because it was that good. The chocolate chip cookies are addicting along with the rainbow cookies. The little touch they put on everything to make everything that much more appealing like the Tupac cookies and the Louie V brownies. It doesn't go unnoticed and I loved everything about it! I will 1000% be back when I'm in LB! Keep up it!!

Yelp
I call this place the kardashian bakery because they make things that look good on Instagram, but taste isn't their forte. Recently bought like 8 brownies/cookies for a party cost me $50 and no one liked them.

Yelp
Possibly made a bad choice but I ordered a slice of Oreo cheesecake which basically had no taste whatsoever a soggy Oreo cookie on top and no sign of any richness that I'm used to from having cheesecake and on top of all that the price out the door for a small slice of Oreo cheesecake was. $5.98....TOTALLY OVERPRICED on top of having any taste
