"There's one reason to visit the new outpost of this Red Hook-based bakery on during lunch hours and that is: crazy ass toasts. So many toasts. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Ordered a red velvet cake for a birthday. The cake was beautiful and delicious. It was perfect from every perspective of taste and texture and will from this point forward be my gold standard for red velvet cake. Great job! I also tried some of their pastry when I was picking up the cake and they were all fantastic.

Decent coffee and some really great light(ish) bites. There’s actually a wider menu than your average coffee place but the table set-up and general feel is more casual than a full-on restaurant. Solid option for a casual bite.

Great baked goods! Love them. The croissants and the pretzels make me feel like I'm in Germany because they're the closest thing I've had in the US. Very delicious. A little pricier for baked goods, so can't justify going there every day but certainly worth it. Not a big fan of their coffee/cappuccinos though. Pretty bitter.

I come to this place occasionally when I want to have lunch comfortably with good light food. It's not pricy and has some really good soup options for the chillier part of the year, particularly their grilled cheese and tomato soup. They also have a lot for the sweet tooth in terms of cakes, pastries, cookies and other sugary bites.

Cozy little cafe with great coffee and treats. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon for a cappuccino. There is lots of seating and we found a table in the back that had a comfy couch along the back wall with tables that could seat up to 12 people. The cappuccino was ready in minutes and it was superb. The cashier asked if I'd like whole milk in my cappuccino, which I did. The person after me ordered a hot chocolate that looked delicious - the barista even offered marshmallows to go on top, no charge. Yum! They have lots of sweet goodies - a slice of traditional birthday cake is only $4.75 and a ginormous slice of NY cheesecake sets you back $5. They also have banana bread, scones, homemade Twix bars and a few salads to go. Soft jazz music playing, lots of couples enjoying an afternoon snack, and 2 clean bathrooms in the basement. Delightful experience!

Location: I heard this original place is at Red hook and this is their first manhattan spot. Place is very cute. They have open kitchen for people to watch how staff make cakes. Place has plenty seats for dining in. Bakery: i had cinnamon roll !! It is one of a good kind connamon roll that I have never experience before. First of all, the roll is round and covered with many sugary products. However, it is not the only feature of the cinnamon roll. Right down of the white sugar, there is a yogurt layer on top of the actually roll which introduces new flavor but also balanced out the sweetness from the white sugar. Service: nice, kind and fast. Price: bit expensive. average would be 4 dollars a piece. Overall: it is an essential place for locals!! 3.5 stars

Great coffee, very good baked goods, and generally a superb space to sit and hang out for a while. Though I dislike the idea of macbook-clad patrons setting up personal office at cafes, this is definitely a place where I could work for an hour. Love that it never seems overcrowded.

Set out to find the bakery on a visit to NYC from Scotland as I love Baked NYC recipe books. Visited Church St cafe and oh my are your cakes good. We had coffee cake and berry slice which were awesome. Cafe was cosy on a rainy day and staff were lovely. Would highly recommend a visit to all cake lovers.
