My wife and I came here for dinner. When you walk in you get cozy, romantic vibe. The prices are very reasonable for the area. It’s a great spot for a date or night with friends, with a decent amount of indoor seating. The food was amazing, great quality ingredients that you can tell in the taste. They have a huge wine selection, I got the house red and Jolene got the spritz. Both were delicious, 1 each was the perfect amount. We ordered the croquettes. They were crispy on the outside and warm and flavorful. I ordered the lasagna and my wife ordered the bolognese dish. The tomato sauce was rich and creamy and lasagna had the perfect mix of flavors. Amazing restaurant!

Google
This place was perfect, every dish so delicious and reasonably priced. They had a nice happy hour from 4-7pm at the bar only and a cute outdoor seating area in the back. Had the octopus which was perfectly cooked, pear salad special and burrata ravioli sprinkled with fresh truffles and mushrooms (the best)

I had brunch here with a couple of good buddies today (June 11, 2022). By far one of the best brunches I have had. We all ordered Eggs Benedict, which was by itself a delicious dish. It’s Prosciutto Di Parma, Burrata, Toasted Muffin, Crushed Truffle, Hollandaise, Parmesan Potato Gratin And Greens. The side greens seemed to have been lightly marinated in mild vinegar, which was super refreshing. The place is located in a very nice part of the city, very cozy and inviting. We sat by the entrance and our table was directly by the large open windows. There were some mint plants that maintained our area scenting really nice. The Staff were great. We were seated as soon as we arrived and when another friend joined our party, we were accommodated as well. The server was very attentive, made sure we enjoyed our food and came over constantly to check on us. I would definitely come back here!

First visit. Enjoyed a happy hour wine at the bar (they won’t let you take it to the table, we had three sips left, eyeroll). Small room with a small(ish) patio. We had a charming server and enjoyed the small pizza, the soup, lasagna and burger. Dessert menu was uninspiring so we skipped. Had a decent bottle of wine, reasonably priced.

Google
Highly recommend the focaccia & ricotta. Ravioli Burrata was good. I liked how truffle forward it was, but there was barely any burrata in the ravioli. Long Island Duck and Spinach Pappardelle were very tasty.

Google
Dropped by for brunch. The energy was nice and service is friendly. The capuccino was great and look at that wiggle on the foam, the sprinkle of cocoa powder on top definitely helps. The artichoke omelette was excellent! Particularly the crispy croquette on top gave it a new layer of texture and flavor. Would go back and order again.

Google
Finally, a place that stops doing grilled octopus with chorizo! Their octopus pairing with mushroom and fava beans was absolutely delicious. I also love how the pasta dishes here have a modern touch yet still retain the homey feelings. They have a handsome patio that will be perfect for summer evenings.

Google
Where to start? Everything was perfect. From the kind and helpful staff, to the food. The thick cut bacon was cooked very well and the macaroni and cheese was toothsome. Perfect crisp on the fries, meat cooked carefully to our preference... Lovely atmosphere worthy of a Michelin restaurant with delicious food.

Yelp
I was not aware this restaurant has recently closed, but I'll share my experience anyway for whatever it's worth. I've only been once, it was cute and quaint... snuggled within the block on Bleecker (Greenwich Village). Both the food and service were great. We expected as much because it was completely empty on a Saturday night, in hindsight probably should've been a sign they may not be open much longer. However, the food was good and very flavorful. It dimly lit, the booth was cozy, and there was a small, heated patio in the back for 'enclosed' outdoor seating. The octopus was delicious. The squid ink pasta was disappointing (I've had better at The Smith midtown). And the tiramisu was pretty good, considering it isn't my favorite dessert.

Yelp
I visited Baker & Co for Saturday brunch with a friend. We made a reservation in advance, but the restaurant was fairly empty and still had plenty of seating, so walk-ins may also be possible (how rare in NYC!) We sat "outside" in their heated patio area, which was comfortable. I really enjoyed their eggs in purgatory menu item. It came with two perfectly poached eggs, fresh herbs, and focaccia that was toasted just right. I got a coffee at the end of brunch, and it ended up being a huge cup so pretty great value. Overall, thought the food was great, good value, and convenient. Would definitely recommend for brunch!

Yelp
Updating my review because I was really disappointed in my brunch this time. I ordered the eggs with a piece of an English muffin, a potato cake, and some salad. I asked for poached and the eggs basically came out hard boiled. Two of my friends got the eggs Benedict and had the same situation... extremely disappointing. The salad was maybe five leaves. The potato cake was cold and didn't have any flavor. Definitely was not the experience I was hoping for. Also this just looked like a sad plate of food. Yes, it was my choice, but I expected the potatoes and eggs to be better. Plus, at least give me the whole English muffin...

Yelp
The ricotta + focaccia at the beginning was good, but the ricotta did not have much structure and was very liquid-like. That was not necessarily a bad thing since the taste was still creamy and went well with the honey, but if you were expecting the texture to taste more like typical ricotta, this won't be that. Wish we got some more ricotta for the amount of bread they served. The squid ink spaghetti with seafood had the right balance between the amount of pasta and amount of seafood. Loved that they had giant pieces of shrimp. The aperol spritz was also very refreshing. We felt weirdly rushed by the waitress, which was odd considering that there was nobody else in the restaurant and there was plenty of time until the restaurant closed. I will say that the service was prompt and we did not spend much time waiting for our food or drinks. Being seated at the garden was very nice and felt a bit more private, but it probably helped that it wasn't very crowded.

Lara G.

Yelp
AMAZING quality italian food. You can taste it in both the flavors and the texture. I personally also thought the serving size was absolutely perfect -- but some may call it small. The covered back patio is also absolutely adorable! And wasn't cold even as the temperature was dropping.

Julia A.

Yelp
Great spot for brunch or dinner for a couple or double date. I came w old friends for brunch and their prosciutto Benedict was so good. Great mix of actual egg dish plus sides. Their back patio is so cute, a little crowded but great ambiance. Would love to come back here!

María Paz M.

Yelp
The food was good ( we ordered lasagna and chicken). Attention: Excellent ( quick) The only thing I would have liked to see more cocktail options.

Justin K.

Yelp
Cute place Dishes were good Chocolate fruit tart delicious as well Only negative was being told the table was only available for 90min - thus 4 stars

Sucheta B.

Yelp
The prosciutto and burrata eggs Benedict here might be one of my top favorite nyc brunch dishes. It is fire!! My boyfriend also got the lasagna that was a huge portion and we definitely took almost half home. Cute cozy vibes for brunch and try to grab a seat in their garden if you can!

Joanna M.

Yelp
I remember coming to Baker & Co in the winter a few years back when Baker & Co actually served enormous portions of delicious food with great service. But the past few times have been inconsistent in terms of food and service. From my many visits, I would say some great dishes include the mac and cheese, lasagna, and eggs benedict with smoked salmon. All the dishes at Baker & Co are good for the price you pay but don't standout in nyc's brunch scene. The food is also not consistently hot. The last visit, I was served lukewarm food at best. The service is also inconsistent, sometimes you'll have a friendly waiter and sometimes you'll have a waiter who is totally indifferent. The ambiance hasn't changed much and remains a casual cozy brunch spot in the West Village. I've been coming back due to the affordability and good first impression I had of Baker & Co, but it's time to find the next West Village brunch gem.

Jen L.

Yelp
Really yummy Italian food with a cute ambiance! We sat in the back patio area which had the prettiest lights and remained warm despite the cold weather outside. We came with a reservation for five and were promptly seated. For apps we ordered the burrata and fried calamari/shrimp. The burrata was SO good. It was so milky and creamy on the inside and the balsamic glaze really brought out the flavor. We also ordered the fried calamari/shrimp, which was a bit more mediocre. The fried batter was lukewarm and the seafood tasted rubbery. I ordered the seafood squid ink pasta as my main entree! The squid ink pasta was perfectly al dente and the portion sizes were perfect- not too heavy and not too light. I loved the lobster and shrimp inside, and every bite felt like there was some seafood. We ordered the affogato gelato for dessert. Not sure the icecream tasted like mascarpone icecream- it tasted like regular vanilla icecream to me, but the portions were huge- definitely meant for sharing. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely a bit on the pricier side, but a good date night spot!

Yelp
Just what we were looking for! Stopped here for dinner with some friends who live in West Village and highly recommended this place. The vibe inside was amazing: perfect for an intimate dinner catching up with friends. The patio looked like a fun option during warmer weather (we'll definitely have to check it out during a summer trip)! Their wine list was very generous. I always appreciate a restaurant with a variety of wines fit for any dish you order. I also love that you can order by the glass or bottle for most of their selections. Definitely made it easy and more cost effective for our table of 7! For dinner, I ordered the Spaghetti Black Ink, which was better than I expected! The seafood portions within the dish were incredibly generous for the price point. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavor was spot on! The entire table ordered differently: all the pasta dishes looked incredible (my husband's lasagna I can say tasted AMAZING). Two of our friends ordered their burgers and even those looked great and came with a generous portion of fries. Overall, really enjoyed this spot and will definitely make a point to stop in on our next trip to the city!

Sarah H.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible restaurant! We got the Croquettes, Butternut Squash Soup, NY Strip Steak, and the Black Ink Pasta. My favorite was the steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with the most delicious broccolini. Our meal also came with free bread and balsamic vinegar in olive oil. The restaurant itself was beautiful, and we sat outside surrounded by string lights. It's a small and cozy space. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Taylor M.

Yelp
The eggs benedict was SO good - easily some of the best I've ever had. Cacio e pepe mac & cheese was also very good if you like mac and cheese and cacio e pepe The service is always very good, however the area is pretty small, so sometimes it can be tight to move around. Also have very good drinks. Definitely recommend!

Robert C.

Yelp
Hands down, the best burger I have ever had in 60 years!! Aged beef burger is EPIC! Thank you!

Jason S.

Yelp
Dinner here was a lovely meal, the seating is pretty tight so it's not the most comfortable, but the branzino was so fresh and paired well with the peas and asparagus as well as the pico de gallo topping. A bite wirh all of them at once was really well balanced. Though it also seems like you couldn't have gone wrong really with any of the mains.

Christi L.

Yelp
Very pretty place, spacious bathroom, and nice service. The ravioli was my friends food and she loved it. I got the lasagnas and it tasted great but was very heavy and hurt my stomach after. The focaccia and calamari were absolutely delicious. We got some Nutella donuts for dessert and they were so hot it physically burnt my tongue and hand when the Nutella spilled out, so that was the one down side. It was SCORCHING. However, once it cooled it was delicious.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Randomly happened upon this restaurant with a friend for a quick dinner. We sat at the bar and each ordered the NY Strip medium rare, and wine. The steak was perfectly seasoned and more on the rare side. It came with a bed of roasted potatoes and broccolini. Everything tasted great. I love how quiet and quaint the restaurant was.

Ally H.

Yelp
As a group of 3, we were able to get a day of reservation at this cozy Italian spot - a warm, cozy environment in a fun area of West Village. The food hit the spot, including a Gluten free Cacio e Pepe that was delicious! My espresso martini was a little underwhelming but overall, really enjoyed Baker & Co!

Stephen L.

Yelp
Decent Italian place in Greenwich Village, but could use a few improvements. I ordered the Lasagna Pork and Veal Ragu ($23), which was decent, but a bit mushy and not really cheesy. The flavor was pretty good but there wasn't much depth to it, as it was just a single flavor throughout. The top of the lasagna could have been more baked/crisped and the ragu wasn't particularly noteworthy. I also tried the Spaghetti Blank Ink with Swordfish Ragu ($26), which was better than the lasagna. The spaghetti was cooked to a nice firm yet chewy consistency and the swordfish chunks were tasty. There was a sort of olive oil flavor throughout the dish. The best part of this dish was actually the pistachios scattered around, as they added a nice crunch and were tasty and complemented the rest of the dish nicely. The prices here are consistent with those at other similarly nice Italian restaurants. There is a covered patio seating area in the back, which was nice, but quite noisy from he other people seating around. The interior seating area is nice as well with a dimmed lighting kind of romantic atmosphere. The staff were pretty friendly and the service speed was pretty quick. Overall, I'd give Baker & Co 3.5 stars if I could for the decent-but-not-great food and nice but noisy patio seating area.

Alison H.

Yelp
Delicious! Highly recommend the cacio e pepe and the chocolate caramel budino. They also make fresh gluten free noodles if you need.

Gab G.

Yelp
Returned for dinner in late May and shared a bunch of dishes with a friend. We both started with the Bleecker margarita, which was great, then ordered: + Watermelon salad + Crispy artichokes + Ravioli burrata + Meatballs + Truffle fries + Caramel budino It's impossible to go wrong here!

Drew O.

Yelp
El took good care of us. The croquettes were amazing 5/5. Bloody Mary 4/5. My burger was a 5/5. I got a salad with it. Her Benedict was awesome. So many good brunch spots. We might be back!

Heena J.

Yelp
Visited here for a dinner on Wednesday with a couple of friends. The ambience of the place is pretty nice and they have an outdoor patio in the back which was comfortable and warm. We all shared a bottle of wine, the Brussel spout salad, broccolini and Burrata and each got our our pasta dishes. I wasn't too impressed with the food for the prices they were - it was great when it was nice and hot but tasted bland to me overall.

Natalie I.

Yelp
Baker & Co is a great restaurant for a night out with friends or a more lively date spot. The small lights on the table gave an enhanced vibe to the dinner. It was extremely hot outside, so I wanted to order a fresh and light dish. I got the Peach Salad, which is absolutely perfect for the summer. There was one big peach cut up into bite size pieces, so there was no need to cut them again. Stracciatella di burrata is the creamy and very tasty filling of burrata cheese. I actually thought that the texture of the stracietalla worked better with the rest of the salad rather than the outside part of the burrata cheese. The summer squash gave the salad more texture, as it added a fresh crunch to each bite in contrast to the nutty crunch of the hazelnuts. Amazing salad, I would definitely order this again or even try making this at home.

Lauren N.

Yelp
This is a great brunch spot. My friends and I came for a bite to eat and left satisfied! The decor is very on trend and is a "Michelin star recommended" restaurant. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the service was great! Our waiter was very polite, kind, and quick. I ordered the Pizata which was tasty, but didn't quite fit the $17 price tag. It was quite a simple dish: marinara sauce, burrata, Prosciutto, leafy greens, and a drizzle of olive oil to top. My only complaint was the prosciutto made it difficult to get it all in one bite. The rest of the table ordered various dishes with variations of eggs + potato and they all thought it was great. I would recommend this place, but would recommend trying out the eggs/potato dishes!

Shivina K.

Yelp
A really cute west village spot! Their bakers Mac and cheese is delicious and has a cacio Pepe sauce which is so cheesy and different. Their espresso martinis and margaritas are great summer drinks. The seating is pretty tight so just a heads up if you have long legs try to ask for a table that's not in the corner.

Rochelle S.

Yelp
Do you want an amazing burger in the west village with great service? Head over to Baker & co for a great experience. The waitress Jasmine provided terrific service with such a wonderful disposition. I will be back! Highly recommend the gelato and sorbet as well!

Navya J.

Yelp
I went here with pretty high expectations, but the food turned out to be pretty average. Everything was decent, but nothing was delicious except for the truffle fries - which didn't taste like truffles but were still truly DELICIOUS! The cacio e pepe mac n cheese didn't have any pecorino romano or pepper flavor, so it was just an average typical mac and cheese which was nothing to write home about. The flatbread was just normal, nothing great. NYC has such amazing restaurants that although they had pretty good service and a cute outdoor seating, I don't think I'll be going back! - Navya J @nyconthetable

Catherine T.

Yelp
Went here for a friends birthday brunch and was pleasantly surprised! All the food was really good, especially the burrata prosciutto eggs Benedict. One thing to note is they don't serve hard liquor, but their drinks are still great!

Cindy C.

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday for lunch and was pleased they still had some breakfast options so I mixed things up by getting two entrees knowing I'd take one home. I wolfed down the eggs, bacon, greens, and fries while also enjoying a few bites of the special pasta of the day, short rib ragu with pappardelle. They were out of the watermelon sangria so I had a spritz instead. The ragu was still good when I microwaved it for dinner. In these COVID times, they had about 3 sidewalk tables, a 4-top seating by the big open window, and then seating in the back patio (which counts as indoor seating).

Andrea G.

Yelp
Menu feels a little limited (would love to see more variety), but I always have a good meal here. The real draw is the covered garden in the back (super romantic) and a truly great happy hour at the bar. Servers are friendly and helpful.

Mackensie W.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday around 7 pm in April and sat outside. I had a reservation and recommend making one. They have good heat lamps and we were very comfortable sitting outside. We ordered the Charred Spanish Octopus ($19), Croquettes ($13), Baked Artichokes $16), Bakers Mac and Cheese ($18), Pappardelle ($24), and NY Strip ($36). Everyone I was with thought the food was amazing. My favorite was the Charred Spanish Octopus. The service was good. Would definitely go back again.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Came here for a drink. Bartender made this for the sangria. No garnish, no nothing. Just a sad little pomegranate sangria. Not bad tasting but I like fun drinks and at the price of $14 I expect a freaking garnish!

Joan Y.

Yelp
A cute little Italian spot in the west village, right off the famous Cornelia street. Came here for an evening with friends and the vibe was just right. We sat inside and our tables were divided by plastic corridors (Covid safety, I guess). The portions are small, but to be expected for the area. We each had 2 drinks (espresso martinis and red wine), shared the fig and prosciutto app, 3 pastas, and a hazelnut gelato. The food was good, service was friendly and quick (just what we wanted for a weeknight). The bill came to about $250. The server brings a portable credit card machine to the table to close out the check and you're kind of on the spot about the tip - for us that was not an issue, but I could see that being awkward for others. I would recommend and come back!

Jay V.

Yelp
I have been going to Baker & Co for brunch a few times a year. Every time I think they will change something but nothing event changes. The positive is that the food is delicious. But the negative is kind of the factor that makes me avoid this place. They cram in so many chairs and tables that it's impossible to stand up and even turn. I hate this place for this weird setup and I am not even a big person. Management should really rethink how poorly the place is set up. So 5 stars for food and 2 stars for the setup!

Jenn L.

Yelp
Another great Italian restaurant in the West Village! Lots of great options and wine selection too. Love the ambiance and service was on point. Came here for dinner and I'd definitely come back here again. The pasta was super fresh and homemade. Things I ordered: - Croquettes, risotto, parmesan, crushed truffle, mozzarella - Burrata cheese & delicata squash, kale, raisins, calabrian chili - Charred Octopus, olive oil-crushed potato, romesco - Pappardelle, vermont veal ragu, grana padano

Jasmit D.

Yelp
Came here with friends! It is a cute little restaurant. Pretty narrow all the way down. They have outdoor seating towards the back of the restaurant and it was adorable!! But very crowded I must admit. But still very lovely. Can be romantic as well. The menu was a bit hard for me to be honest. Nothing really popped out to me but I ended up getting the Mac and cheese and it was a bit bland but everything else was lovely!

Darya S.

Yelp
I came to B&Co for brunch right when they opened on a weekday, so it was eerily quiet, but it warmed up as time went on. It's got a cute little patio, so we grabbed one of the tables, but inside is cuter, I think. There's not much innovation to their menu, but they do the standard American brunch staples very well. I shared the tuna crudo appetizer, which was great, chewy tuna with some garnish. The I got the salmon eggs Benedict, which has two eggs on top of smoked salmon and two buns, alongside some greens and a potato thing. I really liked it! Well presented, well cooked, well seasoned, and properly portioned. I left full and happy. The waiter wasn't into smiling and didn't seem to like us, but he was quick and efficient. One gripe is that they not only didn't have almond or soy milk, but also they didn't do coffee refills. Otherwise, the meal was a standard brunch at a reliable establishment. You wouldn't be missing out by not going, but you can't really go wrong with their food.

Anugya M.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Made a reservation on Opentable for 12, but my group showed up early at 11:30 and they quickly accommodated us. They let us know we would have a seating limit of an hour and a half which is plenty of time. The restaurant itself is very cute. We were seated inside, but the outdoor area also looked very charming. I personally struggled figuring out what to order because I couldn't find any pictures of most of the brunch menu items and I'm a visual person, so I decided to be safe and go with the Cacio e Pepe. It was decent, but not anything special that I would come back for. My friends split the Nutella French toast and scrambled eggs, and they both really liked it. They did charge an extra $3 for each topping to the eggs (they got mushrooms and cheese) which seems a little excessive, but otherwise a cute place to get brunch.

Natalie B.

Yelp
Solid spot! The back patio is nicely air conditioned. Appreciative they had room for a 4 person walk-in.

Elisa H.

Yelp
Adorable hidden gem. Outstanding small happy hour of select red, white n sparkle. Yummy calamari and splendid atmosphere like a secret garden you'd walk pass if you didn't pay attention.

Joe N.

Yelp
This place was delicious and service was great. It was very hot and we sat outside which was the only sucky part. Otherwise we had a great time. I also highly recommend the thick cut bacon side. The burger was very good for a brunch spot. It was 8.2 out of ten. Cooked correctly with great toppings. Truffle Fries were delicious. Nutella French toast was bomb dot com. The vegetable frittata was good, it just wasn't anything crazy to write hole about. But what frittata is? Also the drinks were good here. Price was on point. I would say 10-15% overpriced, but it's New York.

Audrey T.

Yelp
Baker & Co is a great option for weekend brunch in the West Village. It's a good place for a larger group of people because it's more spacious than your average WVillage restaurant. I always get the smoked salmon eggs benedict here- the eggs are poached perfectly, there is a good amount of smoked salmon, and I like the layer of yogurt that they put on the English muffin. The only downside was the potato gratin which was a bit mushy and lacking in flavor. The risotto croquettes are an absolute must here, and the fries are my perfect fries. The fresh OJ is also amazing.

Josh H.

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim and luckily had a table available as it was packed. Tables had clear dividers and service was great. Warmers for the outdoor seating was very welcome in the raw 50 degree drizzling weather. We had the eggs benedict with prosciutto and zucchini yellow squash and goat cheese frittata. All was delicious. Great place to brunch. Added on the pomegranate mimosas which were very tasty. Enjoyed the visit.. thank you to the staff.

Samika P.

Yelp
I came here for date night, and it was perfect. The restaurant is warm and cozy with beautiful decor and a wonderful, green outdoor space as well. My boyfriend and I started with negronis. The negroni here was amazing with a sweet initial sip perfectly balanced by a tart aftertaste. Then, we ordered the croquettes and the pizzetta mortadella for appetizers. The croquettes had a crispy exterior with a flavorful, tender filling. The pizza was thin and crispy, and the incorporation of pistachio with the burrata and pesto made it so fun. For our main, we shared the cacio e pepe. This, by far, is the best cacio e pepe I've had in the city. The pasta was a perfect al-dente, and the cheese was bursting with flavor. I dislike it when the flavor of pepper dominates a cacio e pepe, but the pepper here was well-balanced. Overall, I would recommend this spot to anybody looking for an intimate Italian restaurant in West Village.

Tre S.

Yelp
The service and food was amazing was so good. Bib Gourman did a good job with rating Baker & Co.

Dee J.

Yelp
Baker & Co. is a nice small restaurant in the west village. I came here for Saturday brunch. I sat in the patio in the back. It was a bit tight when you have other patrons sitting next to you, but I do like the setup. I had the eggs benedict and crab benedict along with greens, potato gratin and crispy thick bacon. The food was good, service was excellent and the price was average. My only problem was the juice and soda were way overpriced for the size they gave me, which was small. I can recommend stopping by here for brunch. I may come by here again for dinner.

Mythilee K.

Yelp
Came with a group of 5 for Sunday brunch! It was such a cute spot in a great trendy area. Outside of this restaurant had music bumping and lots of people walking around and enjoying the weather. Baker & co had a few tables set up outside in the front of the restaurant, a few tables inside, and then an absolutely adorable outside garden terrace. We asked for the garden area, but unfortunately it was all booked up. Next time, I will call ahead and request the garden seating. The food was pretty good! I highly recommend the truffle fries- we got a couple orders for the table and they were finished quickly, definitely the crowd favorite. I had the frittata, which was good, but just a little dry for my liking. However, it came with a refreshing salad side and a delicious sweet potato bake that made up for it. Others in our group got the crab Benedict and the salmon Benedict, which they said were a lot better brunch options. For drinks, we had espresso martinis and bloody Mary's. Both fabulous! We ordered coffees for the table as well, and the waiters were great about constantly refilling our cup. Overall, a very cute brunch scene in a great area with great service. Definitely would recommend.
