Find the Best Sourdough Bread in the Twin Cities - Eater Twin Cities

"Baker’s Field’s bread is all naturally leavened without commercial yeast. The bakery offers a variety of different types as well as freshly milled flours and grains for when the baking urge strikes again. For $6, buy a “neighbor loaf” and it will be donated to The Food Group." - Eater Staff

Where to Find Flour in Minnesota During the Coronavirus Pandemic - Eater Twin Cities

"Located in the Food Building in Northeast Minneapolis, Bakers Field is small batch bakery that produces its own milled-to-order flour on granite stone mills from Midwest-farmed single-origin whole grains. A minimum purchase of two bags can be shipped for $7 per bag. Local customers can pick up orders at Kieran’s Kitchen in Food Building. Four-pound bags of flour are also stocked at Kieran’s Kitchen but sell out quickly." - Alex Lodner

Google
Never heard of this company, but I *JUST* found their cinnamon rolls on a shelf at Mississippi Market. I was a PIGGY and devoured them. Best cinnamon roll I've ever tasted in my entire life! I've never seen your products before this, but I will seek them out now!

Love all of Baker’s Fields bread and baked goods, but the star is their freshly milled flour. It is, by far, the best flour you can get your hands on. It has all that nutty flavor and nutrition that has been stripped from generic store bought flour. I no longer live in the area, sadly. But I often have my MSP friends grab a few bags when they come visit me. Grab their pancake mix, it’s delicious!

I recently attended a sourdough bread baking instruction class given by Tyler and Liss at this local mill in Minneapolis. Both Tyler and Liss are excellent knowledgeable bakers and instructors. We mixed, shaped and baked. We were given a tour as well. We were also allowed to take our work home. Fantastic experience!

Love this bread! And their scones are wonderful! I have a sensitivity to store bought bread, but this bread is easy for me to digest and delicious. The folks who run their booth at the Mill City Farmers Market are fantastic and they always have a great selection. Get their early before the scones run out!

I’m eating the Good ‘Witch of the North pan bread for toast and sandwiches and it is amazing. It’s soft, a little tangy, moist, and has this perfect texture that makes it irresistible.

Google
Just tried some of their chocolate rye cookies and they were amazing! The balance of sweet, bitter, chocolate and salt was perfect with some vanilla to round it out. The texture was amazing as well, after taking a bite you had to wonder how it could hold its shape and yet be so soft in the middle. The house ground rye flour does it job to provide a unique texture you won't find elsewhere with the light crunch from the finishing salt bringing it all home. Do yourself a favor and get some of these asap, you won't regret it!

I discovered the Hundred Rye bread at my food co-op and I'm in love. It's such a delicious alternative to wheat bread. You can tell it's made with quality ingredients and top notch methods. I'm excited to pop in to the store next time I'm in NE. Thank you!!

I couldn't be happier with the flour I purchased from their mill after encountering a bread flour stock-out situation everywhere (due to COVID). The downside is I might not be able to go back to KAF bread flour and other store-bought alternatives after having experienced this flour. Definitely pricey (about 3X as expensive as typical flour) but wonderful quality. Yet to try their breads and other baked goods, but it looked delicious.

Yelp
In town visiting family. Got the baguette at a kowalski's. It was described as Italian style baguette. The website says a it's a Filone. "Baguette" has just got that mass appeal I guess. Either way, top friggin drawer. Not an expert on bread in area, but it's gotta be some of the best around.
