1st time here on a Sunday afternoon! Posole bomb! Agua de Pepino delish! The salsita picante how I like it !! Taco governador was aight!! There was abt a 25mins wait, but worth it!

Food here is really delicious, they have some unique tacos you have to try, burritosate always stuffed & they also have a barista making best tasting coffee in lynwood/Los Angeles And the micheladas here are flavorful. You won't want to skip on trying one...

I can’t speak to the food or the service as it closed at 6pm instead of 8pm but this place seems like a hidden gem & I thought people should know that the outdoor patio is totally covered & surrounded by plants, total vibe 🪴

My family loves this place and I come here every time I'm home. Tacos al pastor are my favorite but I've never had a bad meal here. Anything you order will be delicious. Plus I love their patio.

I've been coming here for some time and have been lagging it on a review. Well, this spot is definitely a gem serving great authentic Mexican food. I went for a quick bite, grabbed a horchata, 2 Korean asada tacos, 1 al pastor, 1 chicken tinga, and 1 Barbacoa taco. Horchata is on the sweet side, but it is damn good. From least to best, barbacoa was my least favorite, but it's because I hardly ever have it. Slow braised beef, pickled onion, and cilantro. Regardless, it was juicy, cilantro, and pickled onions, give it a great flavor al throughout, I added some lime and fuego. Al pastor taco consists of marinated pork loin, white onions, pastor sauce, and cilantro. Everything in this taco was on point. Meat was juicy, onions, and cilantro give that vibrant taste. Pastor sauce gives extra pastor flavor. Pineapple would be the best, but still great taco. Chicken Tinga Taco has pulled chicken breast, chipotle sauce, cilantro, and pickled onions. I love me some tinga, and this taco doesn't disappoint flavorful chicken in Chipotle sauce, gives you kicks of spiciness to your mouth, cilantro and pickled onions battle it out for control of flavor but everything goes so well and balanced together, love it. My favorite is Korean Asada Taco, marinated sliced beef, slaw, and chipotle sauce. This taco is so fire 🔥 it is a Mexican Asian fusion that will blow your mind. The marinated beef has a slight sweet ginger flavor that gives those Asian vibes and goes well with the slaw, then you get the chipotle to kick it up some spice, pairing heat with sweet you won't want it to end. Great menu, clean restaurant, and fast service. Definitely recommend it. I will keep coming back. 5 stars, hands down🤚

We was so glad to find this little gem for some authentic Mexican food and we was not disappointed. The food came out in good time and came out hot too. The food was full of flavour and generous portions too. If I lived in LA I’d always be eating out at this place but I advise you, if your passing through, stop here and try what you can while your here.

Omg, this is one of those small, amazing restaurants 😍 that you have to check out. My friend dragged me here and was so happy she did that she did the food was amazing. We had 7 different tacos, each with amazing ingredients and flavors. If you are in the area, you must stop by this place will not disappoint.

Wow! What an incredible meal!!! Absolutely worth the drive from … wherever you are!! I got the coconut shrimp taco, the baja fish taco and those were some of the most unique, detailed, just spectacular tacos I’ve had. Such a wonderful ambience (plants everywhere!) and bright menu. Boyfriend got the pork burrito and said it’s the best burrito he’s ever had. Will absolutely be back!! 💗💗

This place is a gem! Truly, the tacos there are incredible and memorable. The ambience is so nice and their patio is my favorite to sit when dining there. The micheladas are superb! They make their own chili rim and my god, it's so damn tasty. I appreciate their service.

One of my new favorite spots to hit up on a Sunday morning. Service is great and food was even better. You can get a cold michelada for the cruda or wake up with some coffee if Helping Hands happens to be there. Regardless, you'll be in for a treat.

The food is delicious and the drinks are too as well. The service of this place is very good they employees are very nice and very helpful to describe what foods taste like. The ambience of this place feels amazing. They have music playing and the design outside and inside is very nice. Overall must come!

I came to Balam many years ago and I was blown away by the gourmet menu presented. I tried to hire them to cater my 60th birthday but I never got a call back. Today I came back and I was a bit disappointed the place needs a bit more care. the tables were dirty same with the menus. I ordered Cohinita Pibil Tacos and battered Tilapia fish tacos. the Cochinita Pibil were amazing. it reminded me why I came back, the fish tacos not so good. I felt the oil they were fried in was a bit rancid ( I could not finish it) the slaw that topped the taco was amazing. I shared my concern with the servers and immediately asked if I wanted something else Although I don't think I will be back I might be tempted because I'm a sucker for gourmet tacos, this place has them, management needs to care just a bit more

The tacos & aguas Frescas are always on point & delicious....can't go wrong with the burritos & on Saturdays they have someone selling some fire coffee

Fancy tacos they have great flavors I rated each taco based on flavors and textures. The michelada is a 10/10 with a unique rim dip. I highly recommend trying the cochinita pibil and Koran asada tacos. They have victorias here always a plus! I'm coming back for the menudo it smells amazing and I can't wait to try the rest of the tacos

Authentic delicious made to order as you order and must accompany with a mechelada. I have literally tried everything even from the secret menu that they created and you can't go wrong with anything you honestly it's a must if you are nearby.

I have selfishly not reviewed this great spot for fear it might be too busy for lunch! Shame on me. This is by far my favorite lunch spot. I come every week and they never miss. The owner is super nice and cares about every order leaving his kitchen. Rosie is an angel. She pours her heart in the food and you can surly taste the love. I have literally had everything in the menu. You can't go wrong! Me and my girl friend love sitting outside while enjoying one of their freshly Made drinks.

Good spot! Stopped here on the way home from a meeting at SoFi - my favorite taco out of the ones I tried was the coconut shrimp one. I also line that they make their own tortillas!!

Food and area aren't good. Idk how they're still open. We need good food in the area. Not overpriced hype.

My wife found this place after searching for a good brunch spot near Downey and I'm so glad we stopped. The food was spot on ! We ordered the menudo , pozole, and a Korean style taco which were all delicious and full of flavor. They also give you plenty or garnishments on the side to add to your soup as well. The michelada was fire ! Especially for such a small place I honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good, and for $10... not bad at all. The overall vibe was mellow, chill , but comfortable. They played good music while you wait for your food and it felt almost as if you're abuelita was cooking for you from the kitchen. We will definitely be back here soon . Great great spot if you're in the area I would highly recommend.

Las tortillas!!!! Omg they are so perfect I could come here just for that. Anyway, the menudo on a Sunday afternoon was delish! Y la miche ni se diga. It's been a while since I last ate here but it's always a good reminder that we have a gem in Lynwood *heart eyes*

Best fancy tacos ever. I love these tacos because they tast so good every time. I love their fusion korean BBQ tacos. The Rajas tacos Are my all time favorites.

From the food to the drinks everything was amazingly delicious and fresh , We had a combination of the tacos and pozole corona and Michelada .Service was helpful and the ambiance was flirty and vibrant Can't wait to go back the food was bursting with flavors 10/10.

What luck!!! My husband and I had dropped of our kids at the Sofi stadium so we decided to stop here on our way home. Did we hit a winner with this place. We were lucky because they usually close at 8pm but they were going to close at 6. We arrived probably @ 5:45 and they told us to take our time that they weren't going to rush us out. We weren't sure what to order since it was the first time here so we decided to each get 3 tacos that way we can taste a little bit of everything. We ordered a governador taco, a birria taco, a mole almendrado, a Korean asada taco,cochinita pibil, and barbacoa. Let me just say that they all were delicious!!! All served on a homemade corn tortilla. Our favorite was the governador taco it was so full of flavor with the shrimp and cheese , nicely fried. The Korean asada was also a great taco. The restaurant is on the corner of the street and has a cute little patio with lots of plants and then you walk inside and it has about 4 tables . It is nice and clean. That is always a plus. The server also brought us some salsas and chips to the table . The salsa was perfect with the right amount of spice. They also bring out two salsas a green and a red one when they bring your food. I green is mild and the red has a nice little kick to it. We ended our meal with a delicious chocolate flan. It's is to bad this place isn't closer to home. I would be here every week!! You need to come and give them a try you will not leave disappointed! I hope to be back soon when in the area. Thank you for such great flavorful tacos!

Delicious food hands down. All their tacos are delicious and their salsas are sublime. The atmosphere in the outdoor patio is amazing. Plants and vines block out the street and shade the entire area. You almost feel like your in a plant lined cave. The soft Mexican music gives the place a wonderful ambiance. I recommend this place completely though their parking lot is not very large and the surrounding area is not a place if park my car.

The cochinita pibil tacos are amazing. The patio is really chill perfect to hang out

Love this place, definitely a hole in the wall! The food and drinks were bomb! I tried the mole taco, cochinita pibil and bulgogi taco. All of them were bomb. I loved the michelada and agua fresca too. The ambience is awesome, very nicely decorated and there's lots of parking. Plus the staff are all friendly and helpful.

So... the food & decor are a solid 5 imo. Got the millenial Hipster vibe and Iam all for it. Like legit food has always been fire every time ive ordered something. Ive had the Tropical taco with the coconut shrimp. The Rajas(sliced chilis) & mole almdendrado was good. My go-to's are probably the Barbacaoa/Korean & the cochinita pibil. Sooo good. Cant recall the name of the agua fresca(fruit drinks) but it was delicious and refreshing. Only drawback is location. Gives "your car might get broken into/crackhead" vibes. Nothing they can do about it, but legit affects my decision on eating there sometimes. Always to-go orders for me.

This place was recommended through someone and decided to check it out since we aren't too familiar with the area. It did not disappoint! The menudo was flavorful and the tacos according to my husband were delicious! Also ordered the cafe de olla and was just perfect for me! Not to mention the staff was very sweet and friendly! Love me a family owned restaurant

Headed to LA for an event and decided to eat on our way. Found this place on yelp and the rest is history. We ordered around seven tacos...fish, shrimp, mole, korean asada, tropical, chicharron. All the tacos were amazing. Each one had such distinct flavors and did not disappoint. The tortillas taste homemade. They were pretty thick which kept the tacos intact but towards the end, we ended up eating the meat with a fork because the tortilla was filling us up. I also had their sandia agua which i really enjoyed because it was not super sweet. The only reason i didnt give them 5 stars was because i asked for no pico on the shrimp taco and they still put it on. My man has a tomato allergy so we ask questions to make sure any tomatoes are removed Other then that this place is really a hidden gem. Great vibes and good food. Definitely will be back. .

The menudo was very good I've had it from a few different places but Balams was way better. The service was good also and the set up of the restaurant was nice small place but nice set up

The food was okayyyyy. The tortillas tasted great. The agua fresca was excellent. The meat itself was nothing special ordered Korean Carne taco and burrito. The sauces were okay not great nor bad just okay.

I didn't take pictures because there is enough, just here to reaffirm the food is delicious service is always great and this place is so cute with the little patio setting and all the plants. Please give it a try you won't regret it!

I ordered the Menudo. It had a lot of tripe, but no hominy corn. The broth was good but not the best I ever had.

The food is delicious, and the service is amazing. My family loved the tacos, Menudo, and I can't say enough that they have options. If you don't want tortilla, they have other alternative. Definitely go and try them out and their aguas Fresca so good .

Legit Mexican/fusion spot with delicious eats, cool outdoor and covered eating space, excellent customer service, and convenient parking. This is a great little spot for a an exciting and authentic date night on a budget. The food is amazing. We ordered the menudo and four tacos: Korean asada, La Paz fish, pollo almendrado (mole), chicharrón. All were served on homemade tortillas.

The food was great having authentic flavor i was pleasantly surprised. They had a nice little plant-surrounded eating area. Not your average taco spot.

Balam is where it's at, if it's your first time, you need to try their tacos de birria a la plancha w extra consomé on the side and a modelo michelada.

My daughter and I where looking for a good spot to eat, we stumbled across this unique GEM, and let me tell you, we will definitely be back. I ordered the large menudo, my daughter ordered the Korean asada burrito it was delicious! Cute spot with outdoor seating and lots of plants, and service was amazing

Balam (Bomb!!!) Mexican Kitchen is straight fire!!!! Flavors on Flavors...ON FLAVORS!! The staff here was generous. I won't bore you with my story but there are decent people still left in the world. In the coconut shrimp taco, I tried flavors I've never experienced in my life. It was new to my pallet and the purple "tortilla" blew me away. The other two tacos; Korean and carnitas i annihilated. Definitely eat here if you have a moment, it'll be memorable I promise

OMG!!!! Their chicken posole is FIRE! Several of my coworkers recommended this place. I'm glad I decided to try it. Didn't disappoint! The seasoning was perfect! The salsa was delicious! I think I found my New Mexican food spot.

Unique flavors for a taco place. You won't find the chicken masala, fried coconut shrimp, Korean asada, etc elsewhere. Eat here. The tortillas are hand made and beautiful! Outside seating is best.

Awesome customer service, the cashier,"- the lady who took my order" and the cook/chef who delivered our food... very nice, professional and just welcoming. It was a nice surprise to eat gourmet tacos in Lynwood. I loved it. Good quality food.

This was a waste of time. The place was so disorganized. I went with my wife and kid. We walked in, no direction, do we order at the door? Do we sit? After we sat after not being greeted, the lady said I'll be with you and after 10 minutes of waiting we left. Tables were dirty and plates just picked up with no cleaning. Place was not busy

I like this place, they have unique meat types. Love the Korean Asada, I love their crispy fish taco. And they have unique salsa it tastes kind of like tamarindo.

All of the employees are so sweet my daughter order a soup and it was warm so she could eat it right away I get the delicious fish tacos recommend for sure. A bit disappointed about one of their employees leaving but i definitely love coming here I've been coming here for years and don't plan to stop

Like everyone else I am blown away by this little hideout! Service is awesome! Guacamole is top notch! Food is mouthwatering good!! It is well worth it to sit out on the patio, it is very eclectic and a great place to relax an have some authentic Mexican food!
