Yelp
Tucked away in a place approximately equidistant from the Barton Creek Square Mall and Red Bud Isle, Baldinucci Pizza Romana is in a strip mall located at the intersection of Bee Cave Road and Walsh Tarlton Lane in West Lake Hills. Its nearest neighbors in the strip mall include Boardroom Salon and Flower Child.
So when I am craving some yummy pizza bites, I'll make my way over here, park under a tree, and order some slices at the counter from what they have available in their display case, along with a small gelato, pay at the register, then take the numbered card on a stand to one of the five 2-tops they have in the restaurant (additional seating available outside), and sit down on the booth side, nibbling away at the gelato while I wait for them to heat up and bring out the slices on a mini pizza paddle with parchment paper containing their stylized logo.
The staff are quite pleasant, and they seem to have high standards for the quality of food they are preparing. For example, I overheard a conversation from staff stating that one of the morning circular pies could not be sold because it was cut imperfectly (some slices were smaller, others were larger)--they clearly value uniformity and consistency in the food they put out, and if something is out of line, it won't be served to customers.
I've had the following slices from them, and intend to work through their menu over time:
Bruschetta, Pepperoni, Sausage & Peppers, Quattro Funghi. I've enjoyed them all. Lovely dough with crunch when you bite into it. Satisfying flavors. Rectangles are cut in two.
They also serve gelato. I've tried the Pistachio and Baccio so far. The Baccio had hazelnuts and some dark chocolate chunks within, with a great dark chocolate flavor. The pistachio must have not made an impression on me since I don't really recall the taste.
They also offer gluten-free pie options too. This became apparent to me when a staff member accidentally duplicated a gluten-free pie order.
Restrooms are clean, and water is available at a dispenser by the hallway that leads to the restrooms.
After completing your meal, you bus your own table. The staff will wipe them down after you've left.
