Baldoria

I had an excellent steak, we also had a chicken dish and a seafood dish which were all excellent. We closed out our meal with an ice cream dessert which was plenty for all. Cocktails and wine are very very good. The atmosphere and service were excellent.

I thought I wrote a review on Baldoria the first time we went - but I guess I didn't! My bad! We rarely go out for Italian food; a hazard of growing up with an Italian mother and grandparents who came here from Italy. However, every dish we have had on our multiple visits are elevated versions of classics that Nana made! Service is congenial, mature and very professional. And, the cocktails are "chef's kiss" too! Follow them on Instagram - they really showcase the food and vibe really well. (never get rid of the person handling your Instagram - they are gold!)

This place excels on all fronts. From the creative options (so many specials) to the service (our server, Lisa, was terrific!) to the ambience, quality and taste- I'm shocked this place doesn't have a Michelin star (but then it would be too tough to get a reservation so, happy this is our little secret). Seems great for special occasions, but not so stuffy that it couldn't be a regular spot.

Went to long beach a few weeks ago & ate at Baldoria! The food & service was great as well as the sidewalk tables. The restaurant was packed for a Friday night but the weather was beautiful & we truly enjoyed our meal outdoors. We had the meatballs as an entree, some moscato & pesto gnocchi!

I used to come to Baldoria regularly and celebrated all of my family’s special occasions there, but after my recent experience, I can no longer support them. I spent four months planning my bridal shower with them, only for them to cancel on me without offering any accommodations or alternatives. I waited before posting this review, giving them the chance to make things right, but they never did. It’s incredibly disappointing to see how little they value loyal customers, especially for such an important event. If you’re looking for a reliable place to host a special occasion, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

I came here a few times with my boss. The staff are very accommodating. The food is absolutely excellent. I can recommend all the foods we try to be delicious. We started with the special appetitezers of the day, so good the bake oysters, burrata cheese, and calamari. The main courses we have are veal chop, Pollo marsala, and bolognese pasta. Desserts they gave us 3 different kinds, and out of all the three, I won't forget how smooth and perfect the napoleon cake is. Plus, we have the cappuccino. So good. It is one of the best diner we have in an Italian restaurant. The reason being I gave 4 stars is that I didn't feel warm with other staff, and i noticed the eyes of other customers. I ignore them since I am also a customer. Who cares with them, but I couldn't stop noticing that I am the only different skin color that night. I hope to bring my friends and family here since the food is great. Me and my boss will surely come back. Hope that time is not as intimidating as the ambiance is.

Went here last night with my brother and our wives. Now my fav Italian restaurant on LI. My veal parm pounded so thin was terrific. I am not a fan of salmon but tasted my wife’s and it was good. My brother and sister in law loved their meals. The homemade tartufo and tiramisu was awesome as well. Our waitress was friendly and terrific I am a big fan of Michaels of Bklyn but this restaurant gives them competition. We will be back soon.

Update 9/30/24 There is no finer Italian cuisine on Long Island than at Baldoria! The only thing better than the food is the incredible team that works there! 💕 My wife and I don't go out to dinner often (too expensive for seniors 🤣) but this is the only place we go! When you enter, you are HOME 💕🏡Absolutely fantastic! What can you say about a place that serves excellent cuisine and makes you feel like your home except to shout from the rooftops about it!! Seriously great food and even better service! A1 The stuffed clams special was out of this world, one of the best if not the best stuffed clams I ever had. I could go on and on but you MUST come here and check it out! Great for any occasion, they really make you feel special.

100% the best service in New York!! Lisa is awesome! On point, attentive and friendly. Lisa had patience and grace with our rowdy group. She knew all the specials and had answers to our questions. Lisa is the best!! Food was great service was better!

We have loved dining/drinking at Baldoria for a number of years. The food is always fresh and delicious, the service is always exemplary, and the ambiance is elegant. Last night, we had dinner at the bar. The bartender, Peter, served us perfectly and he commanded the bar expertly. It was a pleasure talking to him. He is a gem! Frankie, Freddie, and Daniel, three of the servers, always come over to greet us warmly, no matter where we sit. And Sal, the manager, makes it a point to stop by and thank us for coming in. So, all was great EXCEPT the noise coming from a large table that was, unfortunately, behind us. Hence the 4-star review (instead of the usual 5). The table was packed with very loud and inconsiderate people. They were yelling over each other. The excessive noise from the people at that table had a negative effect on my dining experience. Hopefully, the next time we visit, we won't have to be subjected to people who do not have one iota of etiquette!

Mark Dante is fabulous! Peter at the bar is THE MAN! Homemade Italian Cheese Cake is to die for. Love Wednesdays at Baldoria!

Food was delicious. Very fresh. Lisa our server was outstanding. The ambiance is great for special occasions. We went for Valentine's Day and my birthday. Looking forward to eating at this restaurant again.

Elegant Italian restaurant in Long Beach that I wish I tried sooner ! Upscale environment for a date night or family dinner. I would recommended making a reservation because it was pretty full when I arrived. Food was delicious and my service was 10/10. White Sangria was absolutely perfect. I woke up this morning still thinking about the creme brûlée. I will be back and this is a must try !

To start, the place was beautifully setup, appetizers calamari was great, salad with beets was delicious, burrata stuffed ravioli was out of this world! I will be back!

I rarely write about service because all I care about is the food but wow, this spot has great food AND you're treated like royalty. With such respect and care and attention to detail. And it doesn't feel forced or put-on. Our waiter Frank and his team of servers were so kind to us as we feasted on an incredible Caesar salad, baked clams (the must-get), creamy pesto gnocchi, and more. They have two tables outside so grab em if you can. What a warm, welcome place. 5 stars!!!!

I've has some delicious meals, including luscious desserts and experienced a wonderful atmosphere at Baldoria, since the very first time I went there on a Blind Date, to the times in between when I went with friends for Birthday celebrations, and even when I popped in Solo for a drink and meal at the bar. I most often ordered food a fish dish, Sea Bass being one of my favorites, is always cooked to perfection, with just the right seasoning and accented vegetable selections.

I am a foodie for certain and have enjoyed dishes at hundreds of restaurants on Long Island. This place, omg, this place has the best tasting food I've ever had. EVER. The menu isn't saturated with dozens of choices like a novel. Just one simple page of the best tasting dishes you will ever have. We stumbled upon the place by accident one evening and have been there twice in the past 3 weeks. It's my new favorite place and it upsets me because I'm moving to Arizona in 4 months and I will surely miss this place.

Everything was terrific. Hostess very sweet. Ambiance great. Live music was perfect and not too much. Freddy our server was beyond incredible and the food and drinks were just great. It's not cheap, but value for the $$$ was really great.... Really enjoyed.

Fabulous dining experience overall. The service was wonderful. Professional and attentive. Our server Frank was a major reason our experience was so memorable. The food was top notch. All 5 of us were so impressed. The atmosphere was great, every employee we came across was truly happy to see us. Would highly recommend Baldoria.

Food was amazing The clams and artichoke appetizer were terrific. Pasta seafood special was delish. I have to say the whole experience was great especially because we had an amazing waiter. Def ask for Frank!

We enjoyed the best table in the house... the round in the alcove. The food was excellent... most tender octopus we have ever eaten, as was the pork chop and the delicious asparagus, not to mention the heavenly gnocchi... all from someone who cooks, bakes and is not easily impressed. The specials are always so mouth watering. We also appreciate that portions are a good size. Our server and the support staff were all very professional. A great evening... we're repeat customers and we will be back.

Ordered eggplant parm for takeout and received about 6-8 thick chunks of eggplant (like 2" sections of eggplant) with mozzarella baked on top with sauce. It was a hardy dish but not what I was expecting or wanting. This dish came with a side of pasta and bread. I was expecting the typical: "thin layers of breaded eggplant slices" which I have always gotten whenever I have ordered it anywhere else, all over the US. I didn't realize I had to ask how do they prepare their eggplant parm dish. Service was friendly, but won't be ordering this dish again. Place was busy on a Wednesday around 5:30 but able to find parking right near restaurant.

Delicious, authentic cuisine. Attentive service. Friendly atmosphere. We are never disappointed having dinner at Baldoria.

Baldoria is an incredible place serves authentic Italian food with an atmosphere that is second to none and truly caters to your every request. I strongly recommend it when in Long Beach. all the waiters will address your concerns I highly recommend this place for any meal. truly one of the best in Long Beach!!!!

Great food and great service.. definitely going back!! My daughters can't stop thinking about when they will go with friends. Must try!

Came on a date last Saturday. We were very happy with the food and service. I started with the beef and barley soup, which was one of the specials. Large bowl of soup, tasted good. My date ordered the squid ink pasta with seafood in a few Diablo sauce,, also one of the specials. The sauce was delicious with a nice kick. Came with lobster, clams and muscles. All were good and cooked well. I had the tuna rare with a balsamic reduction. Cooked perfectly rare. Overall, an excellent meal. Our server was great and took good care of us. My only complaint is the place is a bit pricey. The pasta special was 48$ and the bowl of soup 16$. I live in NYC and those are the prices I get there.

Very attractive restaurant. Pleasant enough service, albeit somewhat slow. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. I had the eggplant parmesan dish with penne. The eggplant was baked, which I do enjoy, but it lacked seasoning and the rubbery, bitter eggplant skin was left intact, making the dish unpalatable. The penne pasta tomato sauce also lacked oomph and was too acidic. My partner also said the chicken marsala he ordered was "bland." I think the food could use some tweaking.

We live around the corner from the restaurant and frequently stop by for drinks and apps at the bar. This Xmas eve we had a dinner with the whole family and it was great . The food was great . Specials were amazing and it was a lot of sea food options. My daughters loved it. Our server Lisa was great ! The only thing was that they need to train some (not all ) bartenders make a better drinks.. Still 5 stars . Thank you for wonderful evening.

5 Stars for this winning Italian restaurant. Great service by a very friendly staff, and the Chef gets 5 Stars as well Though a little pricey we still love it here. No sur charge for the use of credit card only adds to the class of this fine place.

Baldoria never disappoints! The staff is excellent and the food is spectacular.. you can not get a bad meal here.

Good gluten free options. I had takeout from here before and decided to dine in. I had the penne romana (gluten free) and my husband grabbed the special. We shared roasted potatoes. Both dishes were delicious! We were there to celebrate my birthday that had already passed (since both of us were sick during it). The ambiance was my favorite part of eating here; the hostess and waiter were kind and checked in with us at appropriate gaps. I will definitely return.

First time at Baldoria and it was very good. Great special options so we ordered all specials. Excellent pastas with delicious sauces. The highlight was the tortellini stuffed with ossobuco with a champagne dill sauce. Outstanding service by Lisa. Very nice ambiance.

I hate sand. I am the worst person to go to the beach with because I will do everything in my power not to touch sand. And may Ganesh help you if you put me through wet sand! So I didn't want to go to Long Beach, but I was lured there with the promise of beach blankets, wine, friends, more wine--and I forget the rest because I stopped listening after wine. I suffered through the horrendous walks through sand--including the obligatory romantic stroll by the shoreline--and subsisted on wine and fruit until we were ready to call it a day. That's how we wound up at Baldoria, where we were welcomed like the long-missed relatives of the world's friendliest Italian family. As the first guests of the evening, we were treated to off-menu tasties like freshly shucked oysters on the half shell. The unique Insalata Frutti di Mare is based in tomato sauce, and the Burrata and Meatball Skillet were both great. For entrees, we did a family-style share of the Special: Squid Ink Fettucine with Seafood, the Pappardelle Bolognese, and the Grilled Branzino. Everything was quality, but the Special was next-level delicious, with perfectly al dente pasta and super fresh seafood. After imbibing several bottles of wine, Sal--our new friend and co-owner of the restaurant--offered us complimentary Italian Rainbow Cake and Tiramisu. Why? Because when you're here, you're family. Oh, and they were delicious too. Nothing tastes better than free.

I love a restaurant that has a professional waitstaff. They were knowledgeable and friendly. As a plus's the food was marvelous

Service was excellent in the beginning, but I think they were short staffed and so it started to suffer as the meal went on. My husband enjoyed his food but I was not happy with mine. Stuffed artichoke with a broth was not tasty.... The short ribs weren't tasty and they were not softthe way I like them. Actually they were a special and they were overdone. Maybe they were a special because they were left over from Saturday night..? We did get a tartuffo for dessert and they did not put a candle in for my birthday. My husband booked online and they asked if we were celebrating something...he wrote my wife's birthday....we were disappointed in no candle but we probably should have reminded them. Pretty and comfortable ambiance though

Had dinner last night(Sunday October 1) . We were 4 people and we had two occasions to celebrate. Have been to the restaurant before and always enjoyed our dinner. Service was good, one meal needed to be cooked a bit longer and was not brought out I. A timely manner. Seafood salad appetizer the best we have ever had . Fresh, not overly dressed and perfect for sharing. Please bring back your stuffed veal chop. The pork chop was no comparison. Beautifully plated, but BLAND. Needed seasoning.

Excellent food, a great atmosphere for a night out, or celebrating an occasion, and top-notch service. The specials are dishes you won't find anywhere else. They are unbelievable!

First time here -- The food was very good and, even though a bit pricey, not out of reach. It's not typical Italian that one is used to but there are lots of good choices. Was excited to try some. The specials are weird combinations that work nicely and so it's a good experience if you want something different. However, it is very very noisy and you need to talk super loud to converse with your table companions. That gets old rather quickly. The restaurant was almost full, not packed, so maybe it's quieter when it's empty, but this was very annoying. And, most annoying, the staff was busy chatting to each other and customers, and it was hard to get their attention when necessary. Reminded me of show biz people waiting for their big break so they could quit to go on to their next gig. Sorry - but staff is important in a restaurant. However, the bus girl was very attentive and responsive so thank you to her! As I said, food was very good and everyone at our table agreed. We were full as portions were ample, and then the wait person came alive and tried to push the dessert menu. Didn't want to take "no" for an answer. That was annoying too. So - five stars for food but three stars for the experience.

Ate here for the first time tonight- food was excellent , my wife and son both absolutely loved theirs as well - our waitress Lisa was very nice , we loved the atmosphere and will be back

After walking past this place for the past few years, my wife and I finally decided to pop in for dinner on a summer Friday evening. We didn't have reservations, but were seated within 10 minutes or so. First off, I need to say that our server, Frank, was extremely attentive and charismatic all night! We started with the burrata appetizer, which was tasty but definitely not burrata. I know burrata is having a moment and is on nearly every Italian restaurant menu in the US (and some non-Italian places too), but most places are definitely just serving normal mozzarella. Now, I love fresh mozz, don't get me wrong, but when I'm ordering burrata, I want it to ooze out when I cut into it. For entrees, we got the bucatini Amatriciana and the paccheri alla Norma, which were both stellar! The guanciale on the Amatriciana was nice and crispy and pastas were very fresh.

Visiting family in Long Beach and remembered going to this restaurant a few months ago and really enjoyed the food and ambiance so went again and they did not disappoint. the server was excellent and expertly recited an extensive specials menu and each sounded better then the next. we ordered tortellinis stuffed with osso buco the size of your hand, which was delicious a fantastic shrimp dish and the pistachio crusted salmon which I had also gotten the last visit and everthing was fantastic, topped off with a nice bottle of wine and a great dinner was had by all. Will definitely return to Baldoria our next trip to Long Beach.

The food and service were excellent but the hostess was not accommodating at all knowing it was our anniversary. she gave us a tiny table when all of the tables were empty. My husband asked for a bigger table against the wall which she said were reserved. Mind you we also had a reservation made 2 weeks prior. By the time we left all those tables were full but none of them had 4 people at the table. They were all couples of 2. Don't think we're going back. It really left a bad taste in our mouths not being accommodated to at all and lied to while we're sitting right there. So not nice and on our anniversary. Bad move when there are so many other nice restaurants in the area.

What a GREAT surprise in Long Beach! Their food was incredible. I had the Ahi tuna and it melted in my mouth. I went with 3 people. They ordered the skirt steak and short ribs. Everyone absolutely enjoyed their meal. Lisa was our waitress and couldn't have been nicer. The restaurant is beautiful.

I visited Baldoria this past Sunday. I'm not sure why I never went there since they opened the food and the service were absolutely amazing. I wasn't sure what to pick off the specials and I asked the server for her recommendation. I was not disappointed . This restaurant if you have a visited this restaurant, you're missing out on a great experience.

This place is a very solid restaurant in the Long Beach Wasteland of restaurants. Food is very good. Service is professional and they are very hospitable. Veal Chop and pasta are the favorites along with the salads.

Great food, small interior, friendly staff, & good service. Not much more you can ask for! We made 7:30 reservations on a Friday night and ended up having to wait for about 30 minutes because the kitchen was behind. Not a big deal though, hung out at the bar with others waiting for the same reason. The prices were fair and overall we were very pleased with our experience.

First time here, ate at the bar, great bartenders. Calamari was supposed to be with cherry peppers, but came dry with peppers in the dipping sauce, strange. Bolognese was tasty but very dry. Octopus was very tender, but not much taste, needed salt and an acid. We'll give it another try.

Hosted a birthday party for the hubs at Baldoria this past weekend. We had about 38 guests. The decor is crisp and clean, the food was terrific. Every person we dealt with from making the arrangements to the staff and servers on the day of our event was pleasant and professional. After the party, I've heard from more than a few of my guests about how much they liked the restaurant, the service and the food, particularly the fresh mozzarella and tomato appetizer, fried calamari, and the skirt steak. I had eggplant parm, and it was fantastic. My view is you can't go wrong at this place.

Baldoria has been a new addition to our favorites, we have been here 3 times and have not yet had anything that wasn't wonderful. This place is a keeper.

Food - Fantastic Service - Even better Drinks - Espresso martini Meet Noel at the bar for this one. He's a gem and the martini espresso is AMAZING. To summarize : NOEL NOEL NOEL (+good food)

Had a great dinner before heading home after a weekend in Long Beach. Food was out of this world and the service was spectacular! We sat that the bar for a more laid back dining experience. The bartender Robbie was super attentive and offered helpful recommendations which were much appreciated. We'll definitely return, highly recommend!

Fabulous restaurant from the decor to the waiters and of course the food! Pasta, Veal Chop,Seafood, all fantastic. A good find in Long Beach.
