^_^ BuleStory review for Bali Kitchen in New York City - The food just okay. We got siomay and perkedel as appetizers, for main course we got nasi kuning and nasi campur and i got juice durian also which is not good at all. It taste like coconut milk and durian essence 😭😫 but the ambience was cute tho ..

Absolutely gorgeous and delicious food. Authentic South Asian flavors. The chef even customized our dish (spice, amount of gravy) and the staff are excellent! Recommend!

Yummy food. It was delicious. The staff or the owner was super friendly to every customers who was having dinner there. He reminded me to Indonesian culture. I couldn't find any places like this in Sydney.

Came here looking for a good bowl of soto ayam soup, as part of my Global Soto Ayam test. The restaurant is small, but cozy. After ordering it took less than 10 minutes for the chef himself to bring me my soto. To my surprise, it turned out he also originates from the beautiful Maluku spice islands! So the soup must taste very familiar, and it did! . The broth was fresh and clear, the amount of veggie and chicken strips was on point and glass noodles were included as well. Small rice cubes aka lontong and a piece of perkedel topped it off. All together it tasted great, so I am rating this a 9/10. Bung Souisa, keep it up, hope you will have papeda or ikan tjolo2 next time I visit 😊

I’m Indonesian and so happy to find Indonesian food in East Village. The rendang was really good, best rendang I ate outside Indo. Def will come back to try the other menu.

The only place in Manhattan (literally!) to have authentic Indonesian and Balinese food. I ordered Nasi Campur Bali, which is rice with several meat, veggies and condiments. Very tasty! Although it could be a tad more generous with the size. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. This place is also vegetarian friendly, they actually can tweak several dishes to suit vegetarians.

Unfortunately, your value for money is pretty horrible. The $6.95 sate lilit came with 2 tiny sate's, each of which were smaller than my pinky. The beef rendang, which I was really looking forward to, did not taste authentic and was quite disappointing. Save yourself some money and go for the many other options in East village.
