Google
Legendary brewery so had to check out the taproom. They no longer brew on site but it makes no difference with the quality of beer. Sculpin has always been a favorite of mine so coming here was a treat. Huge space, full restaurant. Plenty of room for huge parties. Fully recommend!

Google
Absolutely HUGE selection of beer! The food is excellent as well. They are very accommodating and family friendly. The staff are lovely and attentive. Food and drinks came out quickly! The whole place is very roomy and accessible for strollers, wheelchairs, etc. Highly recommend! I had a group party with a reservation for about 20 people and they were all set up for us when we arrived and were very prompt with every food and drink order as well as cleaning away empty dishware as we went. I highly recommend them for any group dining events, just be sure to call ahead and reserve a spot!

Google
I should say, Firstly, is that I do love some Ballast point beer. I have been drinking it for some time and Sculpin has always been a go to. Going to this brewery was an experience. It is massive! A giant bar, cocktail tables, shared tables, 2 separate private rooms, a dining area, a mini store, it's a one stop shop. We got the wings and the birria tacos, and shared them. I felt like we paid a bit more for the building. The food was good, but compared to neighboring restaurants, the portion size fell short. It's OK though, I get it, and the prices weren't as outrageous as they could have been, and the ambiance is very nice. The reason it fell a star short was the service, because looking around, the owner definitely put it the work. The bartender we started with was definitely not the one we ended with. It could have been a fluke, but was one that could have been fixed with some communication. I'll still buy the beer...

Google
Out here visiting my brother and his family with our parents. Somehow we'd never visited any of the Ballast Point locations while out here. To sum up: 5 star beer - we had a range of styles and we all enjoyed what we got. 3 star food - mostly basing that off my pizza, which was good but nothing special. My nephew's burger looked really good if that's your thing, and my sister-in-law enjoyed her fish tacos. The pretzel bites with beer cheese and mustard were really good. My brother and my mom got chicken sandwiches and didn't really say much about them. 1-star service - mostly because it was non-existent. We sat outside. We had to order online and grab our own napkins, silverware and water. Our appetizers came out with our meals - well really, after some because our meals didn't all come out together. But overall, still worth it for the beer. In my opinion. My sister-in-law, on the other hand, says she'll never be back because of the lack of service.

Google
Very good brewery in miramar area with ample parking. Great Patio and also many tables inside. Our Server was awesome. Sculpin was the best beer. Watermelon double IPA was so so. Definitely worth the try if you are in the area.

Google
I’m from Seattle where we’re in love with breweries. I was at Balast Point on my last trip to San Diego with a few friends and we had a Blast. The bar tender was super nice and friendly and he took good care of us explaining different flavors. The menu was also super descriptive of the flavors. They have an interesting range of flavors. The ambiance of the place was really nice for dining and date nights. They have different sections for large groups, patios and bar seating. Totally recommended!

Google
Huge place in a gorgeous building, nicely decorated and great beer. We didn’t try any food when we were here (which looked good), but had plenty of beer, the important things yanno 😂

Google
Review is for the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. I’ve been to this place several times and the chicken has always been superior, it seems they changed who they get the chicken from or I just got a bad piece and it’s probably one of the lowest quality chicken breast I’ve ever had. McDonald’s McCrispy Chicken is better than whoever they are getting this from. I don’t normally do reviews but this was quite upsetting because Ballast Point has always had amazing food but I couldn’t finish the sandwich. Great Beer and Local Crafts though but they definitely gotta work on the menu for food.

Yelp
I've drank and eaten here many times throughout the years, why have I not written about Ballast Point yet? Like every respectable San Diego micro-brewery, Ballast Point has a vast variety of beers from light to dark, all delicious in their own way. But what makes Ballast Point way better than the rest, is the fact that they serve really good food here, very reasonable prices. The complete opposite of high priced small portioned foods from a food truck. $18 Fish and Chips...big fresh beer battered fish..better than most! $20 Brazino, pan seared to perfection, the sauces is amazing! This could easily be a $30-50 entree at another restaurant. Wife was very happy! Pizzas and Brussel Spouts are good too. If you and your pals are talking about hitting up a brewery, and you want good beer and REAL food, Ballast Point is your friend!

Yelp
Ballast Point has been a San Diego staple for years. I've been to this location countless times, enjoying gatherings with coworkers and friends. The restaurant is very family-friendly, welcoming both children and pets. I love their outdoor patio and the overall casual vibe of the brewery. The menu offers a diverse selection, ranging from fish tacos and mussels to burgers. I definitely prefer breweries with their own kitchens compared to those relying solely on food trucks, which I've noticed is a common occurrence in many San Diego breweries. i don't enjoy "heavy" beers so Wahoo white is still my favorite till this day, perfect on a hot day.

Yelp
I met a group of friends and former co-workers here for Happy Hour one night. We arrived at 5 to an empty parking lot and bar, but it was busy by the time we left. I had a sour wench which was tasty, the perfect notes of sour that I like, and went down smoothly. They have a Monday burger special that a lot of the guys did, which was a burger, fries, and a pint. A few others ordered the braised short ribs which were delicious. It was too cold to sit on the patio, but the bar stools were comfortable enough and it wasn't overly crowded so we were able to spread out and have a good time. The beer and food are always great at Ballast.

Yelp
What a wonderful brewery! I've had incredible service every time I have come here and it starts right when I walk in with the host. I've come during peak dinner hours and even during peak Holiday season and have always been warmly greeted and seated quickly. They have a quick drink and bites section in the middle of the brewery if you just need a quick in and out. Ordering is done via a QR code. They have daily $5 beer pint specials which are incredible value! My favorites are the Longfin Lager and Grunion Pale Ale. The interior is lively with plenty of TVs to watch sports. They bring food and beer out very quickly and it's a general joy to be here with friends and coworkers. Will be back for more. Cheers!

Yelp
Absolutely love the vibe here. It's huge and spacious. This brewery is also super family friendly. We were in a private room for a celebration, and it was perfect space for the group. I ordered margarita pizza with add on sausage and also ordered brussel sprouts. Pizza was very good! It was thin crust, and dough was well made. The cheese had a good cheese pull. Pizza came out hot too. The brussel sprouts was not so good. It wasn't crispy and was pretty oily. It looked good but taste kind of burnt and soggy. I would definitely get the pizza. The fried calamari is also good choice This place also has huge parking lot. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Ballast Point Brewing in San Diego is a large and lively spot, perfect for social gatherings. I visited on a Friday afternoon, and the place was bustling with people. Despite the crowd, there's plenty of parking and ample seating, both indoors and on the patio. Seating & Ordering: It's a self-seating system, so you can pick a spot that suits your group. The front desk staff explained that if you're just there for beers, you can head straight to the bar. If you prefer to sit at a table, you can order directly from your phone via a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. The large tables are great for groups, and the atmosphere is ideal for socializing with background music and a bit of noise. Ambiance: The space is well-designed with a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating. There's a water feature at the front, beautiful murals, and a bar with TVs playing sports. Beer Selection: Ballast Point offers a wide variety of beers, and their deals are hard to beat. One standout deal is their $5 per pint Nitro IPA, which is a fantastic price for the quality. I tried a flight of three beers for $15, choosing the Heaven Hills, TS #4, and Rum Victory. These were all dark beers with a strong smoky aroma and taste, and I appreciated that they labeled each glass with paper so I knew exactly which beer I was tasting. Service: The service was professional but not personable. When I arrived, the front desk staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than greeting or sending off customers. Overall: Ballast Point Brewing is a great spot for beer lovers, with a vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for social gatherings. The variety of beers and good deals make it worth a visit, even if the service could be a little warmer. Definitely a place to enjoy some quality craft beer in a lively setting.

Yelp
This was a work event for my gf and we were out on the patio. The fire pit provided a sizeable dining area for all of us. The ability to order through the app and have your food delivered made the experience very seamless. The beers were good and my pizza was light and airy and hit the spot. My gf enjoyed her brussel sprouts which gapped of a fun filled evening. Great place for group outings and the patio offers a very relaxed and open vibe

Yelp
Dropped by to grab some quick drinks and small food with the gang after a keycap event before we headed to the 626 night market! The service here is wild! We sat down with our friends and there are QR codes on the tables for the menu. The really neat thing is that each QR is unique to your table, meaning you can place your order through and they'll bring it literally immediately! AND, each person has their own tab on their phone which was great. Mobile checkout was super quick and easy too!! I got an unsweetened iced tea, delicious as always and I had some of my bf's coffee stout? I can't remember exactly but it was delicious and I don't normally go for that kind of drink when it comes to alcohol! We shared some garlic fries and their pretzel bite things, both delicious and really hit the spot. Definitely a great place to grab some drinks and small bites, didn't get anything else but stayed to chat and hang out with friends we don't see often. Love how quick and easy the entire place is! I can definitely see this as a future service for tons of food spots! IG: @ammysalamii

Yelp
Steve and I once again went to Ballast Point for a beer. We try to pick one that we haven't had before even though we have our favorites with the brewery we decided to try something that we haven't had from our beer selection. We had the Grunion Pale Ale on this particular outing and we liked this pale ale very well. Flavor features to look for with this beer is hoppiness, fruity and floral. The beer is light bodied which we often like and desire and this pale ale is smooth in body which we appreciate a great deal on nearly every beer experience occasion.

Yelp
Stopped in for a couple beers today. Hadn't been in a looooong time. Opening day for MLB. Caught a couple innings of the Padres vs Giants. Clean place as always....good beers...decent service. It was after lunch hours so not busy at all. Place is super clean and quick service. Plenty of parking when it isn't lunchtime.

Yelp
Came here for the IPA, left here feeling bad about not finishing them? I guess that's the best way to describe our experience. Things were going swell since I was in IPA heaven but then we had a new bartender taking care of us and he was really leaning into the hipster/apathetic vibe. He kept complaining about customers past, pretty much saying they were stupid and how his opinion was superior to all. Besides that, fantastic establishment! They have a huge dining and bar area with a hefty selection of swag. I won't even try their watermelon IPA ever again but neither here nor there. Only advice for this place? Hire people who care and create an inviting environment.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant. I've heard about it thru other family members. So after giving our respects to our loved ones at the cemetery nearby, with a party of 13, we dined here. What a nice establishment. It is clean, open and very welcoming! Jessica was our server and she was attentive and friendly. We ordered the following.... *Pretzel Breadsticks-with house-made beer mustard *Old Reliable pizza -tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, California olive oil, sea salt added pepperoni *Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich- skin-on breast marinated overnight, kale slaw with honey mustard glaze, dill cucumber, Sculpin hot sauce on a brioche bun *Impossible Burger-shredded lettuce, swiss cheese, tomato, BP special sauce, pepperoncini, on a potato bun. also added bacon *Baja Fish Tacos -beer-battered Mahi Mahi, herb and citrus cabbage slaw, roasted jalapeno crema, pickled onions, jicama sticks *Slow-braised Tri-tip Birria Tacos -braised in California Kolsch, served with fresh cilantro, white onion, salsa tatemada. beef consomme *French Fries -truffle herb parmesan *Caesar Salad -with added chicken Romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, Parmesan Reggiano cheese, anchovies *Cobb Salad -Chopped Romaine, Diced Cajun Chicken, Bacon Bits, Hard Boiled Egg, Avocado, Tomato, Bleu Cheese Crumbles - Choice of Buttermilk Ranch Dressing *Smoked Salmon Benedict... Wild arugula, fried capers, shaved red onion, heirloom tomato, poached egg. Hollandaise sauce, English muffin, country breakfast potatoes *Angus Griddle Burger -shredded lettuce, tomato, white American cheese ,BP special sauce, pepperoncini, sesame bun *Southern Chicken and Waffles. Buttermilk waffle, fried chicken breast, Hot Honey whipped butter All the food was delicious! My cousins from Canada said this place has the best beer they've ever tasted. We appreciate the service and feeling welcome at this establishment! Thank you!! We will be back !!!

Yelp
Beer: awesome wide selection, $12 flight of 4 is a great way to explore. I really liked the Daisho Japanese lager and the Manta Ray Double IPA, tasty notes of critics and melon without the usual dry bitterness of IPA. Food: overall not bad but nothing to rave about Pizza Meat Lover and Sculpin Buffalo Chicken were both good, but for $20, a little pricey. Sculpin Hot wings were good, but nothing to rave about and again for $18 it's pricey. Fish and chips, again not bad, but for $18 it's pricey. Service: very friendly! Ambiance: great decor, lively, relaxing vibe.

Yelp
A brewery that has gone through a lot! They are back to independent ownership! Cam was our server, he was awesome! This place has all of their small batch beers along with a great menu! Off the beaten path but worth the travel!
google avatar

Shervin G.

Yelp
Little advice if you're coming here to grab a beer... the bar will always be quicker than ordering with the QR code on the tables.. even if you think the bar line is long just wait it out.....waited 32 minutes for a beer at our table 14 closest table to the bar and decided to go get it at the bar after seeing many employees just walking around. Thanks to the gentleman at the bar who got it within 1 minute.

Yelp
Had my 30th birthday here! They let us reserve a spot for 30 ppl without creating an event which was really nice because I wanted it to be a more casual come and go event. They were nice, accommodating, the service timing was good, and the food and drinks were pretty good overall! The owner was super personable and kind to our group. Thank you for hosting us, great place for events!!

Yelp
We have been to their location in Anaheim, which is much more busy since it's at downtown Disney. Lots of parking, and was seated immediately on a Sunday evening. We ordered the chicken sandwich and ceviche and it was enough to split amongst two. Ceviche was good, pretty average. Chicken sandwich a bit sweet (from the sauce?) for my liking, but my boyfriend liked it. If you like wine, I recommend their moscato! It was so yummy and sweet. We came near closing so the staff was cleaning up and didn't check up on us often, but nothing to fuss about. Would come again.

Yelp
My husband and I brought our in law's here on their last night in town as his family are big brewery goers and we love the ambiance at this Ballast Point location. We also really like the food and love that we can bring our dogs along as they have a large outdoor patio. However during this visit, we were a little embarrassed that we suggested it because the tables and chairs were filthy. While the patio was pretty much empty and we should have had our choice of seats, not a single one was clean. We had to ask 3 different times for a table to be cleaned so we could sit and the waitress that was working that area not only acted like we were annoying her, she was also so incredibly rude to her coworkers in front of us. The food and drinks were definitely up to the normal standards for Ballast Point, but the service and cleanliness this visit was not good.
google avatar

Yelp
It's been a few weeks but I haven't forgotten about what a great time we had and what excellent service we had by MAX! We were a large party of 17 Farmers agents, he handled our table on his own with a great personality and was one of the best servers I've had in ages! Thanks for the great time.

Yelp
This Ballast Point location might be my favorite brewery in all of San Diego! This location is huge and has indoor seating, outdoor seating, bar seating - there's a vibe for everyone. Their beers are top notch and their food is great as well! I love coming here with a group, ordering some beers and some shareables. Service is always top notch as well. There are a ton of breweries in this area - so definitely add this spot to your list if you are doing some brewery hopping! Or a great spot for a meal!
google avatar

Yelp
Because I'm a crazy dog lady and my son likes their beer, he suggested this place for lunch so I could bring the dogs along. We sat on the patio, and the dogs were immediately brought water. They also have a doggie menu:)) We opted for the burger and bacon for the dogs; the Poke Nachos and Ballast Burger for the humans. Great service, great food! We all enjoyed our lunch.

Yelp
Food (5/5 stars): I was surprised by how good Ballast Point's Slow-Braised Tri Tip Birria Tacos were. The tri-tip was so tender and juicy that it practically melted in my mouth. The consomé was so rich, flavorful and had a nice kick! And their tacos paired so well with the Speedboat Salt & Lime Blonde. Highly recommend Ballast Point for beer, food, or both! Experience (4/5 stars): * Price: a little pricey * Wait Time: minimal because we had a reservation * Service: very good and friendly * Parking: there's a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a nice, modern, and open-space restaurant

Yelp
I love ballast point! I've been here several times for work dinners, trivia night, or just lunch with friends. They offer trivia on Tuesdays at 7pm (or 7:30 don't remember). They have plenty of seating! They have private rooms and large tables for big groups. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a bar where you can just go and order to avoid waiting for a table. They offer so many drink options. They have tons so many beers, seltzers, and kombuchas. They offer drinks from other breweries which is nice. They also have alcoholic free drinks. The food is great! It is a little pricey but I recommend getting shareable plates because they usually have big portions (or you get full off drinks).

Frank M.

Yelp
The food was great ! but you know that we came here for the beer ! LOVE this place and the service is always great ! Me and my wife love to seat outside and play games!

Yelp
It's a good atmosphere for hanging out and having a drink, but on the field side, it could be better
google avatar

Jana N.

Yelp
Every time that I have been here has always been enjoyable. There is a good amount of parking and the place itself is large with a nice outdoor area that is great for parties. I like that there is a good variety of different types of drinks for those who don't necessarily like beer. This time around I got a hard kombucha. In all my experiences with breweries, the service staff is friendly and seems like they really enjoy working there, Ballast Point is no exception.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
Ballast point what more can you say for a classic San Diego beer. you know what you're gonna get from the spot. I got a beer sampler and they were all fine. Nothing really mind blowing. I enjoyed the massive venue. They had the football game on with the sound over the loud speakers. I would recommend the spot back if I'm around the area.
google avatar

Bernadette T.

Yelp
I've always had a good time at Ballast Point, its a great spot for groups, once I got seated and served and another time, we just ordered individually through our phones. Staff is super friendly! food and drinks ordered - wahoo white (8oz): I am a big fan light and citrusy beers and I ordered this because it sounded like a blue moon. It was pretty tasty with a stronger citrusy flavor. I also like that I am able to order half pints! - speedboat salt and lime: super strong salty and limey flavors! It tasted like a tortilla chip but in a good way - buttermilk fried chicken sandwich: I've gotten this twice and have been underwhelmed. It is dry, the chicken breast was thick so they probably needed to cook it longer. The flavor was just okay. Menu says it comes with honey mustard glaze but I wish they added more. Overall I was not too impressed.
google avatar

Lottie L.

Yelp
Old faithful. This is a go to spot for beer and gathering with friends. I love the updated restaurant as well as the outdoor space. The beers are always tasty and service is quick.
google avatar

Terri L.

Yelp
Awesome service. Good beer and good food. Very roomy and comfortable dining room. Do recommend for a group dining and craft beer tasting. Food overall is much better than other beer breweries I've visited. Herb crusted local halibut, Fish and chips,, Crispy brussel sprouts and Pretzel bites appetizers were all very good. All pairs well with beer. Kalbi grilled short rib was a too salty and too tough, maybe if cooked a bit longer?! Will visit again soon.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice big brewery to gather with big groups or small groups. The inside and outside seating areas are plentiful. I used to come here often and remember it was a good time. The seating is self seating for the outside area and great to bring your pup, they even have a menu for dogs. I have to admit though this recent time I went the bartender inside gave us a hard time around ordering for other people we literally had to go in each to show our faces for them to serve us drinks yet when you order using the QR code they don't. On top of that their birria tacos which were recommended was very very salty. I was very thirsty after eating that. Overall the vibes are chill but the attitude of the bartender and the food was meh.
google avatar

Krajicek K.

Yelp
Went on a Thursday night for a gathering. The parking lot was full at 5:30PM. Inside not so crowded yet. On busy days, the rear parking lot will open. Good selections of beer. Reasonable price. "Small bites" dishes are on the expensive side. For example, 5 pieces of buffalo chicken tenders were $16. It is almost the price of a smash burger. Maybe should change the title to "shareables."
google avatar

Annastacia W.

Yelp
A go-to brewery for great beer. I would recommend making a reservation if you plan on being seated at an actual table. Thankfully, they have a seating/bar area where you can choose your seat and order off of a QR code. The drinks and food come out rather fast however it took a while to get water despite ordering it through the QR code system, then we realized there was a hidden area where you could get water yourself which was convenient. The beer options come in different sizes which is nice when you want to try multiple options. They also have non alcoholic cocktails which is a great option for those who are sober. We ordered burgers and fries. The garlic Parmesan fries are superior to the truffle fries and the burger had a nice element of flavor. The food was a bit pricey, which is the only drawback to coming here.
google avatar

Ivan D.

Yelp
A weekend mainstay for my friends and I. Tried most beers here. I really enjoy the Habanero Sculpin, Wahoo White and the Chai Victory at Sea. I don't get food here too often but I did try the Steamed Mussels. It had Longfin, Clam broth, butter, lemon juice, Chicken Andouille, roasted new potatoes. Tons of mussels too, really nice to eat!
google avatar

Yelp
Went to Ballast Point for dinner tonight after a stressful day at work. Had Jon as our server. He had a great attitude, was friendly, outgoing, and all around a very nice guy. I had the poke nachos which were delicious. My colleague had the herb crusted halibut and both were delicious. All in all, I highly recommend Ballast Point. I'll definitely be back!!! My only request to Ballast Point is to bring back the poke bowl and have it as a standard meal--I miss that.

Yelp
We came as a group of 7 on a Monday night. There was no wait. I ordered the fish tacos. They were the perfect size, with flour tortilla and big pieces of fish. These did not come with the typical cabbage but had vinegar onions instead. There came a size of chili jicama which is a perfect pairing.

Yelp
A+ to Sho for handling my site visit on behalf of their event coordinator. I'm just removing one star since the event coordinator didn't seem to have given the front desk a heads up that I was coming. Sho, stole the slow with good knowledge and hospitality. I didn't get a chance to try the food yet, but the atmosphere was cool. Much more warehouse- brewery style than their Little Italy location, but nice they have something here.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
I like this location because there is plenty of parking! Open seating in the front and the back has games! Order via QR code and they will bring it to you. A good brewery to watch games and hang out at!

Yelp
Great place for burgers and beer! Their pork belly skewers are pretty amazing too! The restaurant is huge and can accommodate a large crowd.

Yelp
We came here on Saturday and sat out on their patio as the weather was absolutely incredible. It was a very relaxing way to spend our afternoon. We were overall happy with our experience, although there were some kinks with our time at Ballast. They have QR codes on the tables to order, and you don't have your own waiter throughout the experience. This may be different for some, but I did see that a couple had paper menus. The service was overall good and pretty fast, but no one really asked how we were doing or if we needed anything during our time there. We didn't know how about asking for things. We had to walk around the restaurant to find water as the pitcher outside was empty and no one around to fill it up. I wish at the beginning someone would have addressed us and let us know how everything worked. Also, be warned they put a 5% surcharge on your bill for the workers. We tried a wide range of tasters and they were all very good! We love Ballast, so it was fun to try so many fun beers on tap. You can't go wrong with any of them. We also got a variety of food as well. We got the Calico BBQ glaze wings and they had good flavor! The fries were cooked well and were nice to snack on. The beet salad was fresh and my husband enjoyed the salmon on it as well. My favorite part was the pretzel breadsticks. The Sculpin beer cheese was incredible!! We ended up getting two extra cups to go with our leftovers, it was so good! We will definitely be back on a warm day in the near future!!

Yelp
This place is pretty hype! I was in San Diego and this place was recommended from the locals. I sat at the bar since it was open seating, and it wasn't to busy yet. The bartend was very helpful and guided me with their array of beers. They had so many beers for selections to chose from. Hops, crisp and light, rich and malty, vintage, and barrel aged, king convicts and local craft. You will not be disappointed! I ordered the speedboat salt and lime blonde. It was delicious, light and crispy. I also ordered the Margherita pizza with sausages. It was made by brick oven. Fresh and tasty! Very well made! A must if you are in San Diego!

Yelp
The Miramar Ballast Point location is the best out of all of them. There's a parking lot, however it can still get really busy and full so you may still need to find street parking. The ambiance is nice and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a wide selection of beers. The Chai Me a River cider is my all time favorite! This is a great place for large groups. Food is typical American bar food

Yelp
burger (4/5) solid burger truffle fries (4.8/5) not the best i've had but still really good, loved the crunch and cheese alcohol (3.5/5) i forgot what i got but it was 2 fruity ones and they were pretty decent, i think one was a pineapple cider and the other a hibiscus sour - tasted almost identical tbh

Yelp
Food was good. The birria tacos are wonderful and the consomme it came with was phenomenal. So why only two stars? I will explain. They recently implemented a new system. You now have to order everything via QR code. I hate this so much. So I ordered a beer and two entrees which both included side salads. Got the entrees first but without the salads. They never brought me my beer. After finishing most of my meal ( with a missing salad), I got up and went to the bar to find my beer. The salads finally showed up after we were both done with the entrees. Would have preferred to get my beer first and then have my side come with the food. The manager apologized and said he would refund the beer and the $4 Caesar salad upgrade. I'm not holding my breath. Still haven't gotten any refund. It's a shame , this would be a good place to go if there was any service. I will not be going back here or any other restaurant ever again until they stop this QR code nonsense nonsense.

Yelp
Always love coming here, although, this last visit the sculpin didn't hit as well as it used to. I think that's just my taste changing after visiting Portland breweries pretty recently. This is just me being critical though btw. This brewery still serves great beer and a very chill place to hang. Even have a separate mini tap room to watch sports

Yelp
Great service and great food! The decor has a rustic touch with wood accents but is light bright and airy! Although we didn't do well ordering - I think the beet salad w kale! It was pretty much We did however get incredible fries and a burgers to sun for that salad and MAN ALIVE - that was the right combination! Good burger, fries and some cold brews!!!

Yelp
Great beer spot to go in San Diego. Vibe is great, beer and food are delicious. Service is good too. Spent an awesome time with friends there on a Saturday afternoon.

Yelp
The parking lot was crazy packed! I lucked up with street parking right in front, but got worried about what the parking and dozen or so people waiting outside meant for the inside. Staff is plenty & there was no wait! Instantly happy, as I needed this after-work wind-down. Drinks are great, but the food also had me happy! Traditional happy hour times for us: guys had beer, girls had wine, everyone noshed on pizza & wings. I felt like I should add some greenery & when my chicken Caesar salad came out first, everyone else got one also;) Good old fashioned Caesar with a tasty fried brussel twist...I cleaned that plate. The pulled pork pizza (minus pineapples--because I don't get fruit on pizza smh) was surprisingly good too! The one thing that made me go hmmmmm...what is the "victory at sea surcharge" on everyone's bill? I understand automatically defaulting to no less than a 20% tip (which I sincerely hope actually goes to the large, helpful staff), but an automatic surcharge for being "at sea"...sounds like their victory, not mine. I'm critical, but I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
One of the legendary San Diego breweries, this expansive location is comparable in size to Alesmith--both are also in the "Beeramar" circuit. One of the main differences is that this location doubles as a restaurant. During this most recent visit, I enjoyed the Quinoa Falafel Wrap, which comes with jicama sticks (instead of French fries). For my beverage, I enjoyed a blend of Habanero Sculpin and Mango Sculpin. This IPA is their flagship beer, which comes in multiple varieties. So, one of the benefits of coming to the brewery is that you can request these kinds of blends.
