This is one of the best farmers markets in the area!! There is so much selection - fruits, veggies, flowers, baked goods, clothes, coffee, seafood, etc! Everyone is super friendly and prices are reasonable. We enjoyed coconut donuts, coffee, flavored tea, and a breakfast sandwich! Can’t wait to come back!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Baltimore Farmers Market for the first time this past weekend, and it was an incredible experience. The market features a wide variety of vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a fantastic selection of plants and flowers, also fresh meat and seafood, all at great prices. The atmosphere was wonderfully welcoming, with friendly and kind people everywhere. One highlight was the food and drinks area, where I enjoyed an extremely delicious and refreshing strawberry lemonade from Little Italy Sausage Co. The market also caters to families with children. There was a delightful section for kids that included hula hoops and a lively entertainer interacting with them. Additionally, there was another station featuring a man with a drum set and various musical toys, allowing kids to play along to music. It was such a cute idea, and the children were having an absolute blast. I highly recommend this market, but be sure to arrive early as they close at 12 PM. Don’t forget to bring a bag or basket for your purchases. If you do forget, you can buy one there or get a complimentary bag at the welcome tent.

Google
A great Sunday morning destination for the family. The stalls have gotten more expensive and less focused on the core competencies of a farmer’s market, but I’ve never regretted taking the time to go. Highly recommend the fresh mini donuts, which are both very nostalgic for me and live up to my memories of them!

Google
Always shocked when I come to the farmers market. Like, why don't I always shop there? Lots of variety. Everything is fresh fresh. Prices are prices so there is that. But the feeling of freshness is there so I appreciate that. Will definitely make this a weekend tradition.

Over the years, it's become a weekly tradition for my husband & I to go to the farmers market under 83bon Sundays. It’s probably my favorite thing about living in Baltimore. We are truly lucky to have it. You can find amazing fresh produce, meats, dairy products etc. here for reasonable prices. The atmosphere is so fun & very family friendly. Be sure to get there early because parking can be a bit crazy now.

Yelp
Had so much fun at one of the first markets of the 2024 season! There's so much going on, I feel like your only choice is to visit the market multiple times throughout the season to be able to really get a taste of all the vendors. Even if you walk in without a plan to buy anything, I am certain you will leave with a purchase from at least one vendor, if not more! This market is so large, there is truly something for everyone. We brought home so many goodies and fresh produce and had a great lunch from Arepi. The smells of all the foods cooked by the various food vendors at the market really made me want to try every single one! I had to exhibit some restraint and tell myself there would be next time. Everyone we encountered at the market was so kind. I highly recommend getting out to the market. You just might want to set yourself a budget - there's so much good stuff to spend money on!

Yelp
One of my favorite Sunday morning activities. Wander and wind around this market under the highway with so many local chefs seeking fresh options to build their menu and specials. It's truly a foodie haven mixed with arts, crafts and distilleries. Despite it's size, it gets very crowded so go early, grab a coffee and walk around to get your bearings then walk around again for making purchases and finding tasty treats. There is a free parking lot one one side, a parking garage across the street (get your ticket stamped at the info booth) and easy enough street parking.

Yelp
My favorite Sunday activity!! There is a huge variety of vendors selling hot and cold foods! I always get my haul and grab a seat on the side walk to chow down right on the spot. They are open from mid April to December , so it has a nice long run through all seasons. There is literally a vendor for everything. Vendors and friendly! There are even some activities for children in the space! Special mentions to my some of my fave stops: Soul Smoked Dmv empanadas Del marva's popcorn Treehouse juices

Yelp
Overwhelming selection of produce, apples, bread, drinks, plants, herbs, hot food, and so much more! Humming with activity, this under-the-JFX market is just the place to find whatever ingredients you want for food mediation (medication?). Genial and helpful vendors and a never-ending thrall to noise, music and general whoop-de-doo just for you!

Yelp
This was an extremely great experience. I felt like the entire Baltimore culture was in one location. Anything that you can think of that you want to buy and experience from food, produce, clothes, music, art, or wine, you will be able to find it at the farmers market. The venders were nice and accommodating. There were a lot of venders that would let you sample their items. If you want to experience Baltimore's culture in one location this would be a great visit. It's from 7 am to 12 pm on Sundays.

Yelp
Konscious Jerk 10/10 every time! The jerk fried trout and greens are my favorite. The market ad a whole has a great selection of farm to table options, local food vendors, craft vendors, and so much more.

Yelp
it's a great space to spend a Sunday morning or afternoon. Plenty of fresh fruits veggies and other farm grown goodness. For those that like the many food trucks that serve the best ethnic cuisine.... we have that too. Makers and craftspeople are also represented. Its a great experience. Take the folks for parents weekend. They would love it ! The sunshine or hopefully lovely spring or fall day just adds to the ambiance. It's a favorite of many. Plenty of vendors take credit and debit cards now . Makes paying pretty convenient. Now that's some service!

Yelp
See "Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar" for more reviews. For some reason, two businesses have been created for the same farmers market. Since moving to Baltimore a few months ago, I've been to a few of the city's farmers markets and been impressed by all of them. The Waverly farmers market is closer to us (since we're in Hampden), so that will probably the one we visit the most often. But I also love this farmers market in downtown Baltimore! It's large - lots of vendors, farmers, food trucks. Looking for produce, baked goods, lunch, hot sauce, flowers...? This market has it all. It's also under the highway so it has...SHADE! It's pretty hot right now in Baltimore, but you can stay cool at this farmers market! Mercy Hospital allows 2 hours free parking at their nearby garage (one block over), so parking is easy too! This is a Sunday farmers market - so check it out the next Sunday you're free in the morning!

Yelp
I LOVE this farmers market! Its as much as an experience as it is a market. There is a good variety of vendors as well as good people watching. I can usually get a good cup of coffee, cute hand made items, fresh fruit and fresh flowers, not to mention food cooked to order. The only complaint I have is some of the food stalls are cash only, which is fine if they tell you that upfront. Some of them you only find out after you've stood in line and made up your mind on what you wanted lol. Overall I love going on Sunday mornings and checking out all the vendors to see whats new or to pick up some of my favorite items. I have been way more this year than any other and I still enjoy it ever weekend. Parking is usually ample and free since its Sunday so thats always a perk!

Yelp
This is the first time I've been Baltimore's farmers market in 3 years. Some of the vendors I frequently patronized are no longer present However, despite this, I still consider this one of the best farmer's markets in the Baltimore area. The vibe can't be beat. Say what you will about Baltimore, but it's something special about the eclectic spirit of its that I love Any hoo, there are still plenty of awesome vendors selling both fresh produce, tasty foods, fresh flowers , jewelry, clothes, and other wares. There were a couple of vendors selling fresh wreathes, perfect for the holidays I also love the truck that is helping reduce our carbon footprint by selling used vintage clothing. I personally went down today to purchase some fresh produce. Bartenfelder Farms is the best place to purchase greens . Collards, kale (green & purple ), mustard, turnip etc. You can get two healthy baskets for $5. They're greens are so fresh and delicious when cooked or used in salads If you're into mushrooms don't forget to stop by the mushroom stand. They have several varieties of mushrooms to suit almost any mushroom lovers taste. As an extra bonus you can purchase mushroom soup or an oyster mushroom fritter. I decided to try the fritter and was not disappointed! The fritter comes with a salad mix that includes fresh basil hot sauce and 2 scoops of feta cheese. Now, I have to say, the addition of feta and hot sauce was not something I would have thought to add, but the twang from the feta and the slight heat and spice from the hot sauce was epic and had me humming while I ate Now, there are many different things to try at this market and one of the things that may stop you in your tracks is the smell if freshly made donuts . Although, I didn't get any donuts this time, I almost let the tantalizing smell catch me, but I was strong and stopped myself from those little mini fried dough of perfection Btw, once you get you order you can sprinkle confectioners sugar or select from several different glazes and toppings to use and make your donuts suit you taste. I feel there is still much more to explore, but 12/19/21 will be the last day of the market for 2021. So if you can, make your way down there next Sunday. There also having a Christmas party at the market on 12/19 so it sounds like a great time all around!

Yelp
I haven't been here in a very long time and I must say I have been missing out! The energy and vibes were everything. I enjoyed the various types of produce, especially the variety of apples. I never knew so many existed. The fresh cider was delicious, we stopped by the mushroom stand, you have to get the fried mushrooms, they are definitely worth the wait. I've been told the fresh guacamole is good and I will be getting that next time because I will be going again soon before they close for the winter season! Oh and check on Ekiben their tofu is delicious!

Yelp
One of my favorite farmers markets in the MD/DC/VA area! Easy to park in the nearby garage (free on farmers market Sundays!) and numerous vendors. Ranging from coffee stands, local breakfast and lunch vendors, local produce, homemade artisanal wellness products, crafts, jewelry, wine/liquor, kombucha, kimchi, handmade household goods, vegan vendors, & so much more! This has become my weekly one stop shop for some of my favorite/tastiest goods. It's one of the bigger farmers markets in the area too! Def recommend checking it out :)

Yelp
This is by far one of my favorite farmer's market in Baltimore! So many local farms and also many delicious food vendors! Our family goes every Sunday to grab produce abs some breakfast. Highly recommend Migue's Minis...freshly made mini donuts and lots of toppings that you put on to your liking! I also LOVE the Farm to Table falafel wraps. They are delicious and an explosion of textures and flavors in your mouth--sweet, spicy, creamy, crunchy, just wow!

Yelp
Best Farmers Market in the DC/MD area (not sure about VA.) It's got a good variety of vendors selling all types of goods. You can find baked goods (breads and pastries), fruits and veggies, plants, seafood and poultry, beans, liquor, olives/olive oils, dairy, pottery, and more. There's plenty of food stands with a variety of cuisines to try from. I suggest coming early since it gets crowded fairly quickly. Great place to bring family, friends, or go solo. I always try to come whenever I have the time. Good quality products and friendly vendors!

Yelp
There are many funds to be found at the farmers market under the bridge. I seem to be there quite frequently over the last two months. I love Baltimore's vibe and eclectic community. Food, flowers and desserts are among some of the goods to be purchased. I just eat and walk around at least three times to make sure I visit every stand and peruse their offerings. Prepare to meet née friends and old ones. I always see someone I know.

Yelp
Best farmers market I've been to maybe in my whole life; it's definitely the best in the last few years. The food stands themselves are ridiculous. Pit beef sandwiches, biscuit sandwiches, custom omelette stations, authentic tacos, topping your own mini donuts, Indian street food, Hatian food. It's just absolutely nuts how much variety they have. Oh and I had to wait about 30 minutes for that biscuit sandwich with jerk steak, a fried egg, and Korean chili paste on a homemade biscuit. I don't think steak and biscuits go together very well, but the ingredients themselves were all top notch. Then the vendors are awesome. I took home a couple of peaches and I was pleased that I got to try both yellow and white. The vegetables looked very fresh and of high quality. The breads from the Breadery looked fresh, I got a nice loaf of caraway rye. Slate Farm allowed me to try beer samples, and I bought a 32 ounce can of a fantastic double IPA, called the 9 lb Hammer, to take home. I even got to try Mead from another vendor, but the guacamole and salsas were remarkable. I tried guac, spicy tomatillo, pico, and pineapple salsas. Didn't make a purchase, but they would be well worth the price. Plus 2 hours of free parking in the garage across the street. Just get there at 9 am to beat the lines that will undoubtedly form if the weather is even halfway decent. I live 4 hours away, but I would go back to Baltimore once a year just to visit this market.

Yelp
Who knew!! This market is amazing. So much fresh local produce. Plenty of vendors with a great mix of food and trinkets. We arrived early as I was told that around 9AM it gets thick with folks, so we got in early and out by around 9:30 and the timing was perfect. Pies by Dangerously Delicious Pies Baltimore was in the building and I copped a slice of the pineapple. Grabbed some fresh potatoes, garlic, white & yellow peaches, some yummy smelling shallots and a few other goodies. Glad I was exposed to this little oasis under the bridge down in the city. Parking is free on Sundays. Come through and check out all the awesome finds.

Yelp
The best farmer's market in the area, by far, with actual food! So many of them have turned into craft fairs, with very few farm goods, but this one is stocked with produce, meats, dairy, and prepared foods. Going under the overpass is part of the experience.
google avatar

Tiahna P.

Yelp
Literally amazing. It took me 3 months to get out to the market, but I finally did and the experience was amazing. While many vendors accept card, bring some cash juuust in case you find something at the few who don't. There's cooked foods & fresh farm food. Pastries, plants, and produce! There's parking for cars, bikes, and space for strollers.

Yelp
We are frequents to this farmers market, here are the things that keep us coming back: excellent eggs from the old gentleman, super fresh; great meat options from Albright farm; food from Ekiben (neighborhood chicken buns!) and beef baron (one of the best pit beef sandwiches in town). Things I like less: you don't get the best produce here as you would expect in a farmers market. Sometimes they are just not as fresh or not in a good shape (you pay more and get grocery store equivalents). I would suggest the 32nd Street farmers market for produce. But this one is a lot of fun, you also get to see some local clothing and handicrafts vendors and parking is really easy because they have a free garage open just for the farmers market. Have fun!

Yelp
As a new resident of Baltimore, I was keen to find a great farmers' market. And this did not disappoint. Besides all the thriving local farmers' stands with everything from flowers to peaches to veggies galore, there were also a ton of local vendor selling handcrafted items, as well as delicious food trucks. Walking around, I saw french pastries, egg sammies on fresh bread, Thai iced tea, Indian street food, burritos, pit-beef sandwiches, and so much more. This trip, we bought a ton of fresh peaches and nectarines (after trying the delicious samples, we couldn't resist), and the bite-sized donuts from Migues Mini Donuts, which you can garnish with powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, blueberry glaze, etc. This is definitely going to become a weekly ritual.

Yelp
What a great Sunday activity! This is easily the largest Farmer's Market I've been to - and there are so many great options. There are what feel like three sections - the street portion which has great options for gifts, artwork, clothing, etc.; the large loop area that has many options of produce, flowers, some prepared foods, Zeke's Coffee, and more; and then the smaller parking lot portion with kombucha, alcohol, and a great salsa stand. (and really, there is so much going on that I really didn't even do it justice with that list) Mera Kitchen Collective is near the hula hoops, what a great organization! The salsa stand I mention above, has delicious fresh salsa, and the tables in the middle have been great for gift giving - I purchased a few beautiful notebooks that everyone loved. It does get quite crowded, and in this summer heat, it is hot. I plan to go earlier next time to hopefully beat some of the people and the heat!

Yelp
Whose Your Farmer! Pattypan squash, yellow watermelon, mushroom variants of all kinds or just a big bucket of fried batter - this Farmers Market under the JFX is it!! Love the experience from Zelda coffee to Migue's Mini donuts. Lots of music, local pols and fresh food. This is Bawlmer.

Yelp
Sunday was LOVE at first sight, this market offers a little bit of everything!! The food vendors were diverse from vegan, vegetarian to seafood and meat on meat; picky eaters are welcome and will enjoy the offerings. The farmer's showed out with fresh locally sourced produce veggie, fruits, frozen meats and fresh seafood. OMMGGGG it was just like a plethora of goodies, I walked around at least three times to make sure I seen everything. Highly recommend this market weather it's to grab and support a local restaurant, or grab some fresh produce or even to come out and just enjoy the sights and sounds.

Yelp
This is a sizeable farmer's market whose improbable location, squatting in the forgotten spaces underneath a highway that runs through the modernist, gleaming, high-rise buildings of Baltimore, is just one sign of its unexpectedly rich cultural offerings. Come Sunday mornings, I have found a new way to partake of the essence of Charm City's fabled earthiness and good humor: visit the Baltimore Farmer's Market. The sprawl of the market is delightful, it goes on quite a bit. This adds a draw far and wide through the city, in equal parts from its gentrified quarters and its homely, salt-of-the-earth, blue-collar communities. The range of products is fantastic: the market goes well beyond farm produce and meats. We found distillers of vodka, makers of traditional hard apple ciders with experimental flavors, honey, unique mushrooms, smoked fish, fried trout, barbeque, health foods, unique Mexican companeo chilis, pickles and olives, squashes, Asian prepared foods, burrito stands, hot cider stands, wool products, and a ton of everything in between. The general friendliness of the sellers, the color, and the variety of products are all an incredibly fulfilling way to shop. It runs counter to the foundations of the modern American supermarket where fruits and vegetables are genetically modified and industrially produced to give a uniform quality/shine/consistency. In the supermarket, transactions with the sellers are extinct. The products are made in such massive quantities through mechanization and with soil additives/chemicals as to render the actual grower irrelevant. Where does our food come from? We don't even know. It doesn't matter...their shelf life renders the source moot, Chilean grapes or California grapes...who cares? Yet the farmer's market will beat out the supermarket model every single time....you can't ask for a more exciting and engaging experience, while supporting people who are close to the land, and produce food themselves in small quantities. Here's my blog post on the market: http://bit.ly/2ga5chb

Yelp
Love love love this market! I went for the first time this morning because I've been wanting to check out some local produce and this market is a gold mine for that. First off, parking was much easier to find than I was expecting. There's a lot under the underpass that we were able to park in for free. My friend and I got there around 8am to try to avoid some of the crowds. We did a loop of the market to scope everything out and grabbed some Zeke's coffee and stopped at the omelet place. So much bang for your buck at the omelet stand- huge omelet with farm fresh ingredients and potatoes for $8. The girl helping us even said that the meat for the omelets they get from another one of the stands. There's fresh fruit and veggies galore to be found. Overall I found the prices to be pretty fair for the amount of food you get. There are certain items I think were overpriced but for the most part the prices were fair. 2/$5 boxes are where it's at! There are also many craft vendors and places to grab a bite to eat. This market may become a weekly occurrence for me! (April-December at least :P)

Yelp
(ROTD 10/5/2016) Bottom Line: Fresh produce, flowers, breakfast goodies, gifts and much more make this market a Sunday morning destination and a fun way to support local businesses. I've been wanting to visit the Baltimore Farmers' Market and Bazaar for over a year. As much as I like to sleep in on Sundays, getting up at 6am to be at the market promptly at the 7am opening time was completely worth it. I stopped to get cash along the way and parked with ease at Mercy Hospital's Bunting Garage on Pleasant Street. My first stop was the market Welcome Tent to get my parking ticket validated for two hours of free parking. From there, I was ready to explore the market with a large empty shopping bag over my shoulder. For starters, everyone was so friendly including the market organizers, business people and fellow shoppers. Despite it being one of the hottest days of the summer everyone was in a good mood. Although the location under I-83 isn't scenic or sexy, it is shady. I am sure that both vendors and customers alike appreciate that on the hot summer Sundays. One of the most memorable parts of the market is the smell of fresh peaches and the sight of piles of Maryland corn. All of the fruits and veggies looked wonderful and if I was hosting a dinner party this is surely where I would want to shop. Given a frequent travel schedule I don't get to stock up on fresh produce too often so I had to focus my attention on some of the other booths. Here are some of my favorite finds at the Farmers' Market and Bazaar: - Salazon dark chocolate bars because they have lots of antioxidants, taste delicious and make great gifts - Two Boots Farm had such a lovely display that I just stood there and admired the beauty of their bounty - both veggies and flora. - ProEdge Sharpening because they will sharpen knives, scissors and the like while you shop - Dangerously Delicious Pies because they have a wide variety of fresh savory and sweet mini pies - Various jewelry vendors with pretty pieces and friendly prices - Baltimore Waffle Company because they crank out awesome, crispy waffles that are delicious on their own and decadent with a swirl of Nutella. Regarding Dangerously Delicious Pies, the Canton-based pie shop has had significant success since the owner appeared on Food Network Star in 2009. I was glad to finally sample the creations of Rodney Henry. The Spinach and and Goat Cheese and Crab and Cheddar quiches were delicious. Also tasty was the savory SMOG pie and sweet, Berger cookie based, Baltimore Bomb dessert pie. The chocolate peanut butter pie was disappointing but would be better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Baltimore Waffle Co. was a pleasant surprise too. They offer a sweet waffle and a bacon waffle, both of which are cooked on an old fashioned waffle iron over a propane stove. I really enjoyed watching the process of them scooping a thick yeast based batter on the iron and then tending to it carefully until the waffle was crispy. If all waffles were this good I would eat them routinely. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to the Baltimore Farmers' Market and Bazaar and to filling my bag and belly with Migue's Magnificent Mini Donuts, fresh Maryland goat cheese and some delicious balsamic vinegar. Also, Blacksauce Kitchen, I'm coming for you too! I know there is a reason why there was already a line at your makeshift kitchen at 7:01am. Overall, this is a great market and I appreciate the efforts of everyone who make this cornucopia of local goodness possible. Also, I admire all of the vendors for getting up before the roosters crow to load their truck, drive to the location under the JFX, set up their booth and then stand on their feet to sell the fruits and veggies of their labor.

Yelp
Came here on a lazy Sunday morning and realized just how much l missed coming here! Parking is a nightmare unless you come very early or about an hour before closing to get a spot on the street, but you need to feed the meter to avoid getting ticketed or impounded. They now offer valet parking (who knew?). The location, under the JFX, has increased in size over the years and has so much to offer that goes way beyond fresh produce, depending on what you are looking for. Veggies, fruit, fresh meat and seafood, dairy, flowers, clothing, food truck vendors, bakery items, homemade soaps and oils, l could literally go on. The sights and smells are worth the trip alone! The market is open from April to October from 7 to around 3. If you are free, go visit. You are most certain to pick up a little something!

Yelp
Easily the best farmers market in Baltimore. And open until November! I typically go here for breakfast - they have everything you will ever desire. Mushroom breakfast burrito (shown in picture), fresh falafel wraps (with farmers market peaches and beets, you name it!) that you can get wrapped in greens, shredded pork sandwiches, COFFEE... And so so much more. They also sell (like any other farmers market) veggies, fruits (get their peaches!!), flowers, herbs, doggie treats... And basically anything you can think of. Honestly you should just stop reading and so find out for yourself. Absolutely love this place.

Yelp
Had a nice time Sunday with a friend. She brought me here and says it is usually more full with many more people. I didn't mind that we didn't have the latter. Good selection of veggies- I got broccoli, beautiful carrots, some white sweet potatoes and a wreath for the holidays. They had multiple areas with Christmas wreaths. If you're a newbie, I'd recommend making a full round before buying something because there were veggies at stands better than others. Good coffee at Zekes. I had a cup while walking around and shopping. I Wish they let dogs in. There

Yelp
This place is like a chef's dream for good seasonal produce from local farms. We sampled some of the finest peaches and corn Baltimore had to offer and one of our friends just had to buy a dozen ears of corn. Coming from New York City, we didn't buy too much of the produce but we certainly tried a lot of the vendors' cooked food. We had the combo sandwich (open pit beef and sage sausage) from Beef Barons and it was amazing. A friend's fried mushroom salad from the mushroom stand right next to Beef Barons was deliciously light as well. When it came closer to 12pm nearly all the lines were equally long which means there probably isn't one bad bunch. Must come back.

Yelp
I came to this farmers' market a few years ago but it's definitely improved a lot. It's doubled in size and they have a great selection of local fresh produce. The parking lot was packed and we got there at 8:30 AM. There's a large and varied selection of fruit, vegetables, prepared food, and flowers. They also had a section where they sell home goods and clothes. I had the combo sandwich (open pit beef and sage sausage) from the Beef Barons stand which was amazing. They cook it on an open fire there and they give you a large portion of meat. I also tried my friend's fried mushroom salad from the mushroom stand right next to Beef Barons and it was delicious as well. If I had a larger stomach, I would try more food since everything looked great. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the Baltimore area.

Yelp
Food lover's paradise and a Sunday morning ritual! Underneath I-80, this market boasts fresh produce, artsy products, food vendors, and wine/beer tasting. There are tables at a nearby park for you to indulge your newly bought treasures, and the market is easily accessible to all the other wonders in Mt. Vernon. Tip: Bring cash!

Yelp
If there was 10 STARS..I would certainly give it! This is the BEST Farmers Market I have EVER been to. Last week Robin and I checked it out,...and this week we came with a WAGON! We bought organic spinach, greens, tomatoes, taters, snap peas, eggs, and a VARIETY of flowers. Asparagus, apples, peaches, cherries, ...all organic and LOCAL! Also there is jewelry, animal stuff, paintings.....the list goes on. Weird because it is under a bridge (actually an exit ramp...lol) , in the city......but that makes for a GREAT experience because your not baking in the sun! Shade, food, drink , veggies and fruits, meat, fish flowers. BOOM! I lived in Tucson for years, and they have a street fair twice a year. This is like the street fair....BUT 100 times better because there are SO MANY fruits and veggies that are local and organic. Supporting LOCAL small businesses who support our community. Last week we went at 10am. THIS week we were there at 7am! Better selection, less traffic, and we got some fresh OJ to sip as we walked. We loaded up on organic produce and eggs, and were headed out by 9am. There are local vendors sell fresh and organic beef, fish, pork and chicken. We opted for eggs this week, but we will get a variety of good quality proteins in addition to eggs other weeks. This Market is open EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY from 7am until noon....until CHRISTMAS!! So we can do most of our shopping here! I HATE getting up early, but my alarm is set for 6am EVERY Sunday! . Eating a salad with fresh organic LOCAL veggies.....just can not be fully appreciated unless you TRY IT. LOTS of food choices(donuts fresh made in front of you, Thai, BBQ, breakfast burritos, coffee, etc etc.).. even a beer and wine vendor. My favorite place is HEX FERMENTS. I got some Ginger Kimchi.....it is off the chain!

Yelp
As great as the burgers are at Gary's Grilled Turkey Burgers, they need to pick up the pace. The people are too lax. I've been waiting in line to place my order for 30 mins. Those waiting for their orders (that have already been placed) have been waiting for even longer. The issue is not that the food is not ready, it's that they are slow as molasses in packing and filling orders. The food is ready, and the two order preparers function as if they are special needs. For a stand with such a high demand, they are best in being delegated for napkin replacement or smiling. Having worked in food service and holding a supervisory position, it's taking everything out of me to NOT go behind the counter, start giving orders, reassigning roles and getting the line moving. I won't be coming here again, the wait is not worth it. Especially with chronic pain & bank issues. I'm live typing this review and I'm still third in line to put in my order. I should mention, I've been third in line to place my order since I first got in this line over 30 mins ago. This is bullsh#%.

Yelp
This is the most expansive, multi-faceted farmers market I have ever been to! For example, there are probably at least eight vendors (conservative estimate) that sell kale. Not only is there a lot of competition, which in economics 101 means good for the customer and market, but there is so much variety that I have been able to do my full "grocery" shopping. I'm talking eggs, cheese, olives, hummus, meats, fish, bread, and of course produce. And there are so many other cool vendors that it would be a disservice to try to capture them all in this review. Not to mention, there are a ton of vendors who sell fresh food like breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and donuts all made to order; therefore one won't get hungry while shopping and over-buy. There are also a ton of amazing samples throughout and I strongly encourage bringing your own sturdy bags from home! Go green!

Yelp
Mushroom fritters and Hula hoops .... Colorful Baskets , locally grown veggies , and fresh fruits. I love it here if I could wake up in time I'd be here weekly. Free street parking and garage parking. The go to place for in season home grown items also meats. There also vendors available for clothing, jewelry, and natural products. My day goes as such.... After browsing some of the outside vendors I start at the CURRY SHACK for my Moroccan tea and a spicy turkey patty this holds me over as I gather fruits and veggies, on my way to THE MUSHROOM STAND for my mushroom fritters, while waiting on those I stand in line for a sage sausage from BEEF BARONS, once my mushrooms are ready I continue to shop the farmers stands ... if my daughter is with me we sometimes get mini doughnuts and kettle corn.... and if I'm lucky I'll catch the stand with the ginger drink ... every week isn't the same sometime a shot of wheatgrass , some pickles and maybe even some fried fish... it's not enough hours I can go on and on. The only con would be the crowd, it gets very crowded and wasn't stroller friendly for me so I won't do thy again but no crowd is gonna stop me from returning a couple times a month.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place in the whole world! I can not wait until spring. I park for free in the Mercy hospital parking garage and than I get my parking ticket validated! I always go and get a biscuit and a Raven flavored smoothie. Life is Great.

Yelp
It's ok, but not as good I remember it from seasons past. A lot of focus on already cooked foods - that yield more to the hipster & pricey locals trying to be cool rather than taste, quantity & usual farmers market pricing. The stock of produce & meats were ok, but I wasn't Wow'd. I got some great kettle corn, but vendor's attitude had a lot to be desired. I follow a particular vendor on IG & looked forward to getting their food for the 1st time. The line was a long wait (though I heard it actually gets way worse than what I was in) & the food was pricey, average tasting & a rather small portion at best. I need to delete them off my IG (that reminds me - note to self). If you go, DEFINITELY WALK AROUND 1st before you buy anything. You will see a wide variance of pricing on the same item...& the quality of the product not truly reflect why something may cost more at one stand than the next. Also, know your math. Just b/c a price may seem lower, the quantity may be smaller whereas you're actually paying more when you buy more. I would go again if up early & looking to voyage out on a Sunday morning, but I know there are plenty more farmers markets (& grocery stores) with better selection & pricing than what I saw when I visits last weekend.

Yelp
Favorite Sunday morning activity, shop the farmers market, have a fresh omelette at one of the food stands and check out the wares made by various local artists. The "bean ladies" always have fresh and seasonal beans. The red beans do make a difference in the flavor of your chili. Check it out and enjoy the market!

Yelp
The Baltimore farmers market has expanded even more this year! There is another little area with local produce and goods just west of the main area! Must eats: -Zeke's coffee (of course. They also sell coffee by the bag now as well as accept credit card! The line is always long so be prepared to wait!) -Chive dumplings from the Thai cart in the back (not the ones with food sitting out. This place makes everything to order!) -Donuts (so fresh, pillowy, and light...and a steal at 6 minis for $3! -Crepes by Reben (I definitely prefer the sweet to the savory) -Gary's turkey burgers! So meaty, moist, and smokey! The omelette truck is good but nothing special and def a but overpriced. After you've put your self into a decent food coma, wander over to select your fresh and seasonal produce. Offerings vary by month but include asparagus, corn, peppers and many fresh herb options! (Who doesn't need a pound of basil?) Arrive early as the crowds past 11 are hard to soft through!

Yelp
I have made the schlep at different times over the last few years and find the bazaar something of a social curiosity; a grand place to people-watch that offers little of value. Then again, it depends entirely on who you are and why you are there. If I want something to eat, I'll cook or dine at a restaurant that doesn't give me disposable utensils. If I want coffee, there is always a pound (or two) of expertly roasted single-origin beans on my shelf or one could walk to several of the excellent cafe's and coffeehouses in the area. Even early in the morning I frequently see lackluster vegetables and conventional produce at organic prices. For instance one vendor was selling conventional Red Russian Kale for $6/lb. Yes, it looked tasty, but c'mon! Simply put, many vendors are overpriced for the quality and experience they are offering. However there are some fantastic sellers worth searching out: - Go-Go's Retread Threads Hip, retro, funky clothes sourced by local buyers. Always something different. - HEX Ferments Delicious Krauts, Kombucha, Kimchi and more. Assorted flavors. - The Breadery I've never had a roll, baguette, loaf or muffin they made that I didn't like. - Blue Eyed Dragonfly Unique mixed media art pieces made with love, creativity and found/salvaged/repurposed bric-à-brac Final Verdict: Love it or hate it, I encourage you to try visiting at least once. With dozens of vendors selling just about everything something is bound to take your fancy.

Yelp
Great place for produce and breakfast, and free parking at Mercy is always a bonus. Given it's one of the largest markets around my apartment, I appreciate that it stays open until December. An hour spent wandering around here is my ideal way of beginning my Sunday. Notable things to check out: -free apple samples courtesy of the orchard booth close to the main entrance -great portobello breakfast burritos also by the entrance, part of the orange smoothie booth -Woodberry kitchens booth has some delicious samples on occasion -street musicians and artists painting the busy underpass -the pink bakery tent

Yelp
I got here at 9:30am and it was super crowded and hot. Next time I'm going to aim for 7:30am! Plenty of fresh veggie vendors but shop around for the best deals...some of the vendors had significantly better produce than others. I found some amazing prices for huge bags of fresh spinach and basil. Enormous carrots and cucumbers can also be found here. I can't wait to go back and try these donuts that everyone is talking about.

Yelp
The Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar is held every Sunday, literally right underneath the JFX (the Jones Falls Expressway) at Holliday and Saratoga. This market came to be around '77, and offers a variety of goods and eats you can purchase - woodworks, beads, wreaths, baked goods, jams, fresh produce, and even food stands/trucks. I came here to check out some specific food stands out, but just note that you should arrive super early, as food items tend to run out! The set-up is kind of confusing, as it curls around and encompasses a couple of blocks - just keep in mind there's an information desk where the folks are friendly and can help direct you. In addition, there also seems to be cooking demonstrations from local eateries (when I was there, I saw Woodberry Kitchen doing some vegetable sauteeing action). Parking is extremely limited and closely monitored, so make sure you read the street signs and park accordingly. There are also $5 lots where you can park for about a block of a walk. The place is usually open from April to December! +cooking demonstrations +food stands/trucks +fresh produce +located right underneath the JFX; at Holliday and Saratoga
