Bambino is the sophomore restaurant from seasoned restaurateur and chef duo Adam Orman and Fiore Tedesco, debuting in early 2024 in the heart of East Austin, and joining their existing concept L’Oca d’Oro. Bambino weaves together the spirit of the 80s with a grown-up sensibility–arguably bringing to life 10-year old Fiore’s vision of a pizzeria. With reverence for the integrity of the dough and ingredient sourcing overall, the pizzeria represents a culmination of Fiore’s life in food, from his start as a pre-teen shaping rolls at a cousin’s bakery through a career in fine dining–all accompanied by 30 years of making fresh mozzarella and a fidelity to excellence.

"The newer Govalle pizzeria is honoring its first election with a fundraising effort for nonprofits Texas Gun Sense and the Lilith Fund starting at 5 p.m. Every time a state is called for Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, it’ll offer dollar alcoholic and nonalcoholic pina colada slushie shots; and for states called for former president and Republican nominee Donald Trump, it’ll have similar dollar orange Dreamiscle shots. 10 percent of its evening sales will go toward the two nonprofits." - Nadia Chaudhury
"L’Oca d’Oro is home to some of our favorite Italian food in town, and now the team behind that Mueller cafe has launched a more casual, all-day pizza joint in East Austin. In addition to pizzas that start around $20 for a 13-inch pie, the menu offers a few apps, salads, and a daily changing burger. There’s also beer, wine, and some fun cocktails, like cherry Coke Manhattans and frozen blood orange Negronis. We recently checked out Bambino. Read our thoughts here. " - nicolai mccrary

"Pizzeria donating funds from sales of a cocktail made with Tito’s Vodka for Good Work Austin's anniversary." - Nadia Chaudhury
