Starting from booking a restaurant, contacting and asking for a table arrangement regarding food that the tour group is allergic to and cannot eat, such as seafood, pork liver, the table that is allergic, but when the actual day came, the food for the table that is allergic to it was completely the opposite, not as the tour group informed the restaurant, such as winged bean salad with shrimp, pork larb with pork liver (because we informed in advance), even though we informed them 4-5 times already, but the restaurant said that they forgot to call their staff to inform them. I feel that they should have paid more attention to the details because it would be forgiving to the tour group or other customers.
It was found that the food served contained ingredients that the tour group was allergic to, without informing the food organizer and not showing the ingredients of each menu, causing one person with food allergies to accidentally eat a menu with the allergen and later have an allergic reaction.
After the incident, the restaurant owner was immediately notified directly that day, and received only a short apology without any remedy or further internal investigation. When I tried to contact the restaurant again later, I still have not received any response or any responsibility until now.
This incident reflects the failure to take care of consumer safety. Even if the person with food allergies receives first aid in time, this type of allergic reaction can be life-threatening. Therefore, we would like to ask the relevant agencies to investigate and set measures for the store to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.
