"Every Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., the team at Bangkok at Beltline in Richardson serves a Thai afternoon tea. It comes complete with Thai spins on finger sandwiches, specially-flavored sweet treats (Thai tea and green tea-flavored macarons often make appearances), and creations you won’t find anywhere else. The cost is $45 per person, and reservations are required." - Courtney E. Smith, Rachel Pinn

In my opinion this is the best Thai food in the Dallas area. My friend and I ate there yesterday. We had no idea that the portions would be so large. We give the afternoon tea a Five Star rating so we decided to try the food. We are so glad that we did. I started with the satay with peanut sauce. It was wonderful. I ordered Volcano shrimp. It came with delicious vegetables, rice and a spring roll as well as a bowl of soup. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The food comes with five degrees of heat. I chose the hottest and it was not too hot at all. I also had the chocolate mousse cake. It was perfect. My friend ordered the fried ribs. I tasted them and they were delicious. My friend also ordered the drunken noodles. The plate was piled high with food. My friend was very pleased with it. My only regret is that I forgot to order the Thai hot tea. Needless to say we couldn’t eat all of that food. We had to get takeout boxes. I almost forgot to mention how good the service was. The staff was very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm definitely loving this place. I've been here twice with my girls, and we all love it. Main dish and appetizer are a win each time. We had spicy edemame, chicken satay, and crispy crab wonton for appetizers. The meal is in the pics

Google
We did the afternoon tea and it was amazing! My husband says this is the best food he’s had at a tea service! The sandwiches and desserts were all very yummy and unique. Different than traditional afternoon tea, but that’s why we liked it! He’s vegetarian and they are very accommodating with that. The teas were also very flavorful. I can’t decide which I liked better- the citrus tea or the vanilla Thai tea.

Google
We had a second wind and we’re hungry about 8:45p on Christmas. We anticipated having to look much further but were pleasantly surprised to find Bangkok open! This was our first visit and we arrived about 40 minutes before closing. We placed an order to go as we didn’t want to be there too much closer to closing. We ordered fresh rolls, pad kee mow, and shrimp fried rice. We were in and out in 10 minutes with a hot fresh delicious meal! Spicy 3 was perfect, staff was very friendly, and it was all around just a positive experience! We were so grateful for a delicious meal at the end of a long day! Will definitely be back soon!

Google
Great Thai restaurant with great service and a beautiful atmosphere! Nice, authentic Thai food that's seasoned well with a large portion size. We got: Bangkok crabsticks, kua gai noodle, Thai style garlic stir fry (chicken), and Thai style black pepper beef. The crabsticks were so good and I wish we had more!!! The Thai black pepper beef was our favorite entree. Service was great and attentive. I would definitely come back!

Google
I have been coming here since 2016. They are always very nice and consistent! Service is fantastic as well as the food this is my favorite Thai Restaurant in DFW have not found another one that comes close.

Ashley Medlin

Google
I went for their afternoon tea and it was so delicious. I notified them beforehand about my food allergy and they were very accommodating. Everything was so good and each tea paired nicely with the tiers. They came around often to refill the tea. Had an amazing time and hope to come back soon.

I have never eaten inside of Bangkok at Belt Line, but still, it is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Addison/Richardson area. I have tried about three different Thai restaurants near me, and this is my favorite by far. For one, even though I order delivery the meals are consistent in flavor, amount, and freshness. Secondly, they are also consistent in adhering to requests in taking off ingredients or matching the desired level of spiciness. I find that most places try not to make it too spicy even if you ask for a level four (understandable), but I really like that they do. Lastly, the flavor of the dishes is *muah*. I have been hooked on this place for the past two weeks and dream of the Pad Kee Mow. They have the perfect ratio of noodle, veggies, and chicken. And I love love love that the veggies are not limited to just broccoli and bean sprouts or carrots, but also include tomato, cabbage, and onions. It really is my favorite dish from any restaurant. I’ve also had their Pad See Ew, which is just as delicious, but comes second to Pad Kee Mow. I also get the fresh spring rolls with just veggies. I have to get them no matter the dish. They are so light and filling and the peanut sauce has a beeeeautiful flavor I can’t get enough of. I’m so grateful to the cooks and the service staff at this restaurant, because they truly provide delicious and hearty meals, and never miss a beat. Glad I didn’t give up on my quest to find a Thai restaurant I loved over here up north. <3

Yelp
Never disappoints. The food was delicious. Stopped by for lunch. I got the Pad Peanut, it was yummy, my husband got black pepper steak had great flavor. Delicious lunch, friendly team and quick. This restaurant has beautiful decorations. Overall great vibe .

Joanna M.

Yelp
My friend and I tried this place out. Really kind service for real. The crispy spring rolls were really good and the crispy tofu was good, I had never tried it before. The place is a decent size and has nice art pieces inside. I had the perfect amount of spice in my green curry, I was a little worried bc it was a little more watery than milky but the taste definitely still came through! They even made my rice into a cute butterfly!

Julie L.

Yelp
I like their dishes! I love Thai food (though I only get pad Thai...) but this place is cute and cozy! I see their tea party themed desserts and those look so cute and yummy. The location is meh, but still worth trying for the food! Service was pretty quick too.

Aruni G.

Yelp
Met some friends for dinner this past Sunday on our way into Dallas from Austin at this really good Thai restaurant! Nice presentation of food and everything was delicious. Loved the cute butterfly shaped rice! I tried a sake that they said was less sweet than their lychee sakitini but it was still too sweet so they exchanged it for standard unflitered bottle of sake, which was good. I think they might not have believed a couple of us could handle spice so the dishes we thought would be very spicy at level 4 or 3.5 were not as spicy as we expected, but they did bring us some chili sauce to make things a bit hotter. I would definitely eat there again and try more dishes.

Yelp
Came here for the Thai afternoon tea experience today! They only serve afternoon tea on Saturdays, and the start time is anytime 1-3pm (reservations only). Just a heads up that it's $39.95/person or $50/person including tax and tip. The menu is already preset, and it's a three tier course with a different kind of tea for each course. We had the pleasure of tasting the green tea, white pear tea, and Thai tea. Thai tea was paired with the sweets, and it worked especially well. Service and atmosphere are top tier! The server will explain the menu to you, and they're very attentive to refilling your tea. Overall very enjoyable experience!!!

Kenn L.

Yelp
This was suppose to be the Lao Style papaya salad. No ferment crab and super basic. Super disappointing on something that's an essential in Thai restaurants. Slightly watered down flavors here. I wish they stood proudly behind their traditional flavors. First impression is not great for this place that I've booked mark for some time. Ordered it spicy and it didn't delivered.

Cri S.

Yelp
The food items are out of this world! This is not the typical thai cuisine. Happy Hour at 5pm is recommended. Tried a few items such as the thai fish cake and thai dumplings. The aromatics and the sauce pairings are phenomenal! Everything taste house made. Khao Mun Gai and Som Tum Gai Yang are great starter entrees to have an idea of the quality of their dishes. The only thing to complain is the location. This place deserves a better place where its not an accident prone traffic area. The Dallas motorists is the one thing that leaves a bad taste.

Kit R.

Yelp
I've attended the High Thai Tea and ordered deliver from here a number of times and I am never disappointed. The food is amazing, the options are vast, and the Thai Tea is divine. A must for Thai food lovers and I highly recommend doing the High Thai Tea at least once!

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Came here with some cousins for their Saturday afternoon tea that we made reservations for. The place was clean and had nice decorations. Service was quick and our waiter did a great job explaining the different food items and teas for each tier. My favorites were the chicken curry puff, white pear tea, and sweet sticky rice custard. But honestly I was satisfied with every single selection. The dishes went great with the my cousins and I spilled on family gossip (hehe). We also ordered pad kee mow on the side because we were still hungry. We knew the tea by itself wouldn't fill us up and the workers were okay with letting us order food on their main menu. Dish was good, savory, and hit the spot! I would def come back again to try more of their restaurant dishes!

Cassandra R.

Yelp
This was one of those last-minute we're all starving for lunch, Saturday lunches. A little Yelp search and this place popped up. We came after 1pm and there were only two other tables eating so we sat quickly. Sodas are served in cans which isn't ideal, but my family assures me they were tasty. We ordered tons of food: edamame (it was coated in salt), gyoza (sauce with this was tasty), fried spring rolls (yum), Penang curry, pad see yew (weird flavor), and dry chicken over curry dish (I forget the name--it's a special on the table card). We enjoyed the food, though the Pad See Ew had a weird flavor in it (I've order it for over 10 years at many restaurants). This stop resulted in being a low-key lunch that we all enjoyed, but nothing spectacular or memorable. Just good.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I have never had Thai Afternoon Tea and this was amazing. I had to tell my family and friends right after we left. The servers walked us through the process. They served us 3 different teas that were paired with each tier. Bottom Tier - Green Tea, Middle Tier - White Pear Tea, Bottom Tier - Thai Tea with cream. Our cups were constantly being filled. The bottom tier sandwiches could be a bit spicy but it was so good. The middle tier had rice cakes with peanut and shrimp sauce in the shot glass for you to pour on top. The sticky black rice in the shot glass was delicious! The top tier was all the sweets. Love how they topped it off with a red velvet cake and a small vessel filled with jelly for you to squirt either inside or on top. Each food item was so unexpected ... at least for us. You would need to like a little bit of spicy, a lot of Thai and be looking for something different. When we were there on Saturday, the restaurant was pretty full. There was a table with 3 little girls and their Moms, other tables of girlfriends and families enjoying their afternoon together. The restaurant was a bit hard to find. It is located at the side of the strip mall facing Beltline and directly across from a church.

Yelp
Stopped in a with a few friends to check out the Thai Afternoon Tea and I am so glad I did! The offerings were uniformly delicious and the service was spot on. Highlights from the offerings were the Chicken Curry Puff which was my favorite of everything. Just a hint of spice and a great way to start. The Thai Coconut Pancake from the second tier was also a highlight with delicious pieces of young coconut in a mochi pancake. Even the scones were super delish and I had a bit of doubt since we are at a Thai place. Overall I really cannot recommend coming to check the Thai Afternoon Tea enough. Altogether a great experience that would stand up with the best of DFW! Now I have to come back to check out their regular menu. :)

Sophia Z.

Yelp
From Houston and sadly cannot find a good Thai place in dfw- spring rolls had zero flavor, food was oily and just bland.

Dwaneika C.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! I went here for high tea with a date and we had the valentines menu and I loveeedddd it! Literally my first high tea and it had set the standard; the food was delicious, I'm not much of a dessert person so if I could have three of the tier one I would!! Omg the teas were to die for and the service was fun and friendly from beginning to end!

Shelley F.

Yelp
Was craving Thai food and saw a special for this place on UberEats!! The Panang Curry was DELICIOUS! Panang curry has a hint of sweetness to it. The one served here was very flavorful. I picked chicken as my protein, and it was very tender. The Pad Thai was also very solid! Great flavor, protein was tender, and good texture. The only items I didn't like from my order were the dumplings and spring rolls. I only ordered them since there was a bogo special on UberEats, and I needed to meet a minimum order threshold to activate a coupon. I'm not sure that these are made in-house, because they do remind me of the frozen versions you get a grocery store. They put a mysterious topping on the dumplings that I had a hard time swallowing, so I just brushed those off. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the main entrees from Bangkok at Beltline!

Guy H.

Yelp
Found these guys a few years ago and have done both eat in and last minute take out. This visit, the food was really good, well prepared and served with a smile. The red curry with beef was hot, rich and delicious. The Vegetables stir fried with chicken was fresh and healthy... Don't hesitate to.... Go!

Laurette V.

Yelp
Had a fun girls date here during their tea time!! Everything was super delicious, I'm obsessed with their Thai tea! The servers were very nice and knowledgeable! Such a fun place to bring your girls to and explore different teas and small plates :)

Lottie L.

Yelp
This is my favorite local Thai place. Just the right amount of seasonings for a great meal. We always receive fast and attentive service. I order the pad kee mao and pad Thai with shrimp. Tom kha ga soup is also delicious and reminds me of authentic meal in Phuket. The interior is casual and has not been busy when I go but I'm usually eating off push hours.

Tina N.

Yelp
Reservations made in advance for afternoon tea set. It was great to try each tier. Each tier of food had a different tea to compliment the food. They were able to accommodate for a pescatarian diet so I was definitely grateful. I wish they had non-caffeinated tea options for the pairings which would have made the experience even better so I would suggest skipping the coffee in the morning if you plan to attend!

Annie W.

Yelp
Great amazing service and the food was delicious! I don't like tea but these were good. Definitely coming back!

Elaine M.

Yelp
Oh wow, my review based on the Asian high tea experience on a Saturday afternoon. This is the most amazing experience ever! Definitely go with at least 3 friends.. The high tea set menu has 3 tiers, 3 different teas, and so much fun! Our server was super friendly and very attentive and explained everything to us since some of us were there for the first time. Definitely coming back again with my daughters!

Anthony M.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food, reasonable prices, good portions, clean restaurant and good service. Our kiddos also enjoyed it! Sure...it's not a fancy place like some others in Richardson but well worth it. Will be coming here more for sure.

Kelly S.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here last week with a coworker who frequents this spot. i have had so many pad thais and really enjoyed this one. It was really tasty and i look forward to coming back and trying more dishes. The restaurant was cute and the people working were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Amber N.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend had a little pre-movie date and this place didn't disappoint! It's in the strip center near Alamo drafthouse, so super convenient but also low key. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We had an earlier dinner about 6 but by the time we left it was fairly full of patrons. It might be a strip center restaurant, but they have *flair.* They plate their food intentionally, which to me says a lot about who they are and what they want to present. They don't just slap food on a plate and call it a day. And the flavors! My friend got the corn fritters and it came with this awesome cucumber peanut sauce. Light and refreshing. My chicken satay skewers were juicy and healthy, served with a spicy cucumber sauce and a peanut sauce as well. The spring rolls were crisp and full of veggies, and the pineapple fried rice with chicken was SO much food! We had a lot left over but we couldn't take it to go because we had a movie next, and I was so sad!

Michelle L.

Yelp
I went for the afternoon tea at Bangkok at Beltline. I love afternoon tea and I was intrigued by the cushion of Thai flavors. It's only offered on Saturdays between 1-4pm and you have to make reservations at least a day in advanced. The restaurant is a hidden gem in Richardson. For the Saturday afternoon, half the restaurant was dedicated to tea. I loved all the tea pots as decor. They have a rotating menu for the afternoon tea. Each tier is served with a different tea. The meal included savory sandwiches, pastries and desserts. My favorite was the savory sandwiches, which had Thai flavors like curry and Thai basil. I liked that there were three types of tea served. Hot thai tea was really good! However, my only criticism is that the tea wasn't as hot as I would have liked. Other than that it was a fun experience and really cool to see afternoon tea done with a Thai flair. @thebobatomytea on IG

MaryAnn B.

Yelp
We are frequent visitors at Bangkok and are always greeted with a smile. The food is always excellent and the service superior. I have yet to find an item on their menu that isn't a treasure to consume! Their Thai food is the best that I have had in the metroplex. Bangkok never disappoints! My favorite on the menu is the Volcano shrimp.

Angela B.

Yelp
I have been to this place a couple of times for their Saturday high tea and it has been a delight. The food is excellent and honestly very comparable and even better than some of the very high end places. The environment is very modest and not at all fancy, so if that's what you are looking for this is not it. But if you just need a place to drink some good tea, enjoy some good time and good food then I highly recommend! The service is excellent, they don't rush you to get in or out, and there is a well balanced combination between sweet and savory. Flavors leans definitely more towards Southeast Asia. We have also ordered from their menu and everything tastes on point.

Raj A.

Yelp
My wife and I have been here a handful of times, and have yet to have a bad meal or bad experience. We've tried 5-6 different entrees and a couple apps on the menu, and have enjoyed everything. My personal favorite is the volcano chicken (spice level 5 with some Thai chili oil on the side for extra heat to taste). Service is always fantastic. Fast and with a smile, with a particular server who remembers us despite the fact that we only come once every couple months, and she is always fun to chat with. If I have one small complaint, it's that it's dry at the moment. I'd love to give them even more of my money for a Thai-inspired cocktail (or two). Apparently they let their liquor license expire during the pandemic and have been delaying getting it back, but they say they're working on it! They have a great little setup for a bar in the center of their restaurant, too. Will be great to see that back in use.

Eileen M.

Yelp
The staff was super nice to us while we were there! We enjoyed the white pear tea so much! I told the waiter and he gave me some to go and even made it iced at my request. I had been a few times before but this was the first time we had the tea service. I would also recommend the herbal Thai chicken!

Brian D.

Yelp
This place is authentic and outstanding. Ate lunch here and went back for dinner same day.

Sesh K.

Yelp
Great Thai place with excellent service. We ordered couple of apps, coconut soup, pad kee mow flat noodles, basil fried rice and fresh mango sticky rice. Will definitely return - highly recommended.

La Malaise M.

Yelp
A great place for Thai food, both in quality of dishes and atmosphere. Pros: - Everything I've had here is very good. And I have had almost everything on the menu over the 5+ years I've eaten here. - The atmosphere is pleasant. Modern without being cold, and the jazz music is a great background. Not too loud, not too soft. - Prices are very good. Less expensive than most other Asian places I frequent (and I love Asian food). - Service is consistently attentive and warm. New owner (as of mid-2023) was a server, and now owns! She and the team are very friendly. Cons: - Pretty consistently I have to ask for chopsticks. I'd welcome it if the servers asked if I wanted them rather than assuming I am a fork and spoon person. In summary: Go! Good food, good atmosphere, good service.

JaNeen H.

Yelp
Good service ambiance and staff were ALL excellent! The presentation of their food is top notch. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. We came gutted a birthday lunch for my sister. The soup left my mouth craving more. The flavor was literally bursting in all the right ways. The salad was fresh and delicious! Dressing gives a different yet inviting flavor that everyone enjoyed! The crab fried rice was to die for! I would drive back just for that alone! We can't stop talking about it. The people here are the icing on the cake! Great experience and will be back.

Jen L.

Yelp
Decided to try out this Thai place as it was close to where we needed to be. It was easy to find, not far from the hwy after you exit. Walked in and the lady greeted us and seated us quickly. She was super nice and took our drinks. She gave us a few mins to look over the menu. Later another waiter came and took our order as the lady was busy. He, too, was super nice and answered some of the questions that my husband had about his meal. I ordered the Beef Pad See Ew. It was pretty. Only thing was it was just a bit to sweet for me. Other than that, the flavor was good. My husband ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, Dry. He said his was also good. Overall, it was a good experience. The price and service was great. Will definitely be back to try other things I have spotted on their menu.

Sandy S.

Yelp
Vegans and Vegetarians rejoice! So many options for you at Bangkok at Beltline. I usually get the red curry with tofu and no fish sauce, Thai spicy. I believe they will make just about any dish vegan by swapping out the meat for tofu. The service staff is always accommodating. I'm not sure they believe me when I order Thai spicy as it's not quite as spicy as I'd like but they gladly give you a spicy kit on the side if you ask them. Thank you for feeding the veg heads Bangkok on Beltline!

Jessica T.

Yelp
High Tea here is a must. The experience is super fun and the menu is definitely different but delicious. Each section has a tea pairing and what a pairing it is. The flavors go so well and I could not get over how good the Thai tea was. Definitely a must try!

Nickquolette B.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. The food is so fresh and prepared perfectly. The crab fried rice, the Roa Tai curry chicken with Thai pancakes, the shrimp scallop dish, fried calamari, spring rolls, ginger tea.... I can go on and on. All absolutely delicious. Great variety on the menu. You can't go wrong. And... the staff is super nice and accommodating. 5 stars all the way.

Megan H.

Yelp
I feel like everyone has their "go-to" Asian takeout spot and this one is mine! Food is always hot and delicious, they never forget anything and their service is excellent! I always recommend Bangkok at Beltline!

Veronica C.

Yelp
Food was amazing, taste, presentation the whole nine yards. Service very attentive and friendly, what I loved the most was the peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant. Definitely will be back soon!

Jen T.

Yelp
Man with the years this place has only gotten better. This is my 6 yo favorite restaurant and he asks for Bangkok all the time. If you try the kids meal chicken nuggets you will understand why. So the last time my sister was in town we thought we would share our favorite spot so we went with a group of 10, and everyone got a different dish so we could try everything. I am so glad we did this Bc we tried new dishes we never would have and got new faves. When I tell you we eat her sometimes 3 times a week I mean that it is that good. Our current faces are the yellow curry. It is delicious, it has potato, carrot and we get chicken. It is sweet and so so good. We are going to go down the list and try everything eventually so we aren't missing out.

Leslie F.

Yelp
Delicious, big portions and great quality ingredients. Pad Thai is always perfectly saucy!

Lexi K.

Yelp
The food here is so good!! Every time I come in they say "see you again next week"! Bc they know I'm obsessed with the food. They are the reason I have a spending problem on food! The Kua Kai noodles and the chicken fried rice is so good

Helen E.

Yelp
Lovely clean place with fast friendly service and the food was delicious. I ordered medium hot green curry and it was perfect. Definitely going back. If you like Thai food go there.

Rachel L.

Yelp
This place is wonderful. The service is always friendly and prompt. Food is delectable. Noodle dishes are always spot on. The fish with the garlic ginger sauce is divine. Curry is spicy with a nice silky texture. The stir fry dishes are always a great choice. No matter what you order you'll be happy.

Katie C.

Yelp
We just ordered Uber Eats from here. It was not good at all. The shrimp smelled funny and was way over cooked. There was hardly any vegetables in it. The egg rolls were not good either. First time ordering and definitely the last.

Li L.

Yelp
I'm back again ... and this time I'm trying a new sweet treat. The cheesecake is not your usual cheesecake... it is light and fluffy- a nice surprise! I also plan to come for the Tea Party this weekend and will post pictures and a review. This place never disappoints and I'm looking forward to enjoying more meals here in the future. BTW - I never finish all of my food so if you carry home leftovers, they are yummy the next day!

p r.

Yelp
Excellent food and I've never had such great service in a restaurant! This is a hidden gem and I will be back many times

Sam N.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. The staff is super friendly, and the food is great. I go there regularly for lunch. I get Massaman Curry, and my friend gets Drunken noodles. Each meal comes with a little spring roll, and a little peanut sauce salad.

Linda O.

Yelp
My friend and I had the afternoon tea. The food was excellent and surprisingly very filling. The three tiers of food come with green tea, white pear tea and Thai tea. The food had subtle hints of spice. The sandwiches were awesome. The chocolate cake with raspberry filling was so moist and delicious. My only complaint was our waitress kept spilling tea near my plate and service was a little slow. I think the $40 price is is a good value. I will definitely do this again.
