Casual food truck serving Thai dishes for lunch and dinner, including vegetarian options.
"This is a stand next to a Shell gas station in Lake City with no website, so it might be closed on no notice. That warning out of the way: The menu is short and includes mainly the Thai takeout classics everyone knows, they’re just done exceptionally well here. The pad see ew noodles have that just-off-the-wok crispiness and the vegetables are fresh; the Bangkok fried rice is aromatic and sweet enough to balance out the spiciness. Speaking of spiciness, the spice rating system here is not to be taken lightly — don’t go above a three (out of five) unless you are prepared to embark on a journey." - Eater Staff
"You can find the best Thai curries and stir fry in Lake City at this cash-only truck that parks at the Shell station on Lake City Way. The panang curry has an ideal creamy thickness and plenty of brightness from lime leaf. If curry's not your thing, anything from the wok— like pad see ew or cashew chicken—has an excellent char. We’d also stop by just for a Thai iced tea and a handful of fried crab wontons dunked in sweet chili before filling up our tank. Expect to wait a little bit since the truck is operated by only one person, but it's worth it." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

"A fantastic takeout spot in a Lake City Shell gas station parking lot." - Harry Cheadle
"Out of all the Thai restaurants in Lake City, you can find the best curries and noodles at this cash-only truck that parks at the Shell station. In fact, we'd be so bold to say that Bangkok serves Seattle's greatest Thai food to begin with. The panang is creamy and thick, and the pad see ew has an excellent char from where rice noodles clung to the wok. We’d even stop by just for a neon orange iced tea and a few crispy cream cheese-stuffed wontons dunked in sweet chili if we needed to fill up our tank. Just expect to wait a bit or show up to find nobody there—the truck is only operated by one (very talented) person." - aimee rizzo, carlo mantuano
