The 23 Best Vietnamese Restaurants in Little Saigon, Orange County | Eater LA

"At Banh Khot Lady, diners get a taste of a popular Vietnamese street food that resembles bite-sized egg quiche knots. The coconut milk-flavored egg khot are topped with a delicate pink shrimp that make it appear like a tiny savory cupcake. Bites are meant to be wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves with cilantro and purple basil leaf sprigs, adding freshness. Diners typically order pizza boxes filled with snack-sized banh khot. If you’re dining there, get ready to squat down and eat at these tiny tables with step stools. The seating evokes Vietnam’s street hawker culture in the best way." - Jenn Tanaka

Google
Excellent tasty banh khot. Probably the best in town. Not much of service though, since you pretty much please the order and take the food on your own. The place is small, only a couple of tables inside and a few small tables outside. Seems like their biggest business is take out. Anyway, if you have craving for banh khot and or having some gatherings at home. You have to get the banh khot from here. It's the best.

This place is a very cozy and delicious spot to visit. We got the pork & shrimp banh khot with the eggroll combo. It was delicious, it was nice and hot flavorful and cooked well and soft and tender. The eggroll was very crispy and delicious and not super greasy. The sauces and lettuce were great though I wish we had more of the greens to wrap the items. The staff was super nice. The orders can take some time to make so be prepared to wait a bit but it's worth it! The atmosphere and vibe is a very casual place. Some high seats and almost like a squatting seat table. This place also does online order and takeout.

Google
Banh Kot Lady in Westminster totally lives up to its name. The banh kot (I got the 20-piece) was perfectly crispy on the outside and loaded with shrimp and mung beans—so good. Their fish sauce is amazing too, just the right balance of sweet, salty, and tangy. The food comes out hot and fresh, and you can tell they take pride in what they make. I’d definitely come back for another round.

Google
I don't mind the wait because they are absolutely Amazing!! We waited for 30 minutes for 10 pieces. We got it to-go, it stays crispy until the next day. They give a big portion of fresh vegetables eat with banh khot. Generous amount of fish sauce and pickled. I 100% recommend.

Google
I’ve never had Banh Khot before this year and I am so glad I found it. It is sooo good here! I’m seriously addicted. I describe Banh Khot to be like a mini quiche. It is crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done at Banh Khot lady. If you take it to go, it still tastes good later. They present it really nicely in a pizza-style box with fresh vegetables, which makes it easy to take away. Definitely order ahead, because it will some time to make - since they make it fresh! Inside, seating is very limited. There are just one or two bar-style tables and a tiny kid-sized table that adults end up squeezing into (just like in Vietnam). The place itself is a bit run down and not the cleanest (I’ll leave it at that). Parking is super limited, and there are usually homeless people lingering outside. Also, note to the owner: Vietnamese music would be way better than the random Korean playlist! All that aside, Banh Khot lady is ridiculously good. Come here to take the food away and eat elsewhere.

Google
Hole in the wall but the best Vietnamese Mini Pancakes!! This is not only good on the fly for a quick bite, but also if you need to take something for a potluck. These taste so delicious and a burst of flavor in your mouth. The shrimp egg rolls were the best!!

Google
I got there right when they open because I heard it can get packed. Dining area is very small. Only fits like 2 tables and a bar. Wanted to try banh khot but didn’t want to eat too much because there’s so much food to try in Orange County. It was a perfect size.. small combo comes with 5 banh khot and 2 egg rolls. It was a 20-30 mins wait. So I decided to leave and come back. They literally called me to let me know the order was ready within 15 mins. Food was very crispy. I did think the dough was a little thick. The sauce was to perfection. The veggies were fresh and it’s just how cute they package the box. Definitely recommend for party catering events. It comes in a pizza box if you order a lot.

Google
Visiting from Dallas and many friends suggested my fiancé and I visit this place. Sooo glad they did and worth visiting! Made fresh to order and served hot in a pizza box w/ fresh veggies and delicious dipping sauce sauce (nuoc cham). Also had the opportunity to meet the owner and chat it up! Coincidentally we share the same last name. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
I get it, I now get the hype. I just didn't realize how small the store is! lol but I came early enough and was able to grab one of the small tables outside. Lowkey felt like I was in vietnam with the small tables, the bugs flying everywhere and the smell of smog on the cars right by the parking lot lol The girl working the front was so nice and sweet. We got the box set of banh khot & eggrolls. It comes with fresh herbs and a container of fish sauce. There's also a self serve area that has containers, hot sauce, napkins, utensils. now the food itself was very delicious. I cannot wait to be back

Yelp
Pictured: 20 pc Banh Khots with Shrimp and Pork * Vietnamese mini savory pancakes were crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside * each box comes with sides of leafy greens and herbs, their signature fish sauce, and housemade pickled carrot and daikon * only serves banh khots and eggrolls with protein choice of either pork, shrimp, or both * option to order 20, 30, 50 pc or combo * offers catering services * a shareable must-try! 10/10

Yelp
Heard so much about this place on social media so when we were in California, we had to try it. Unfortunately we didn't think it was good. It was OK but nothing great. We sure had better banh khot elsewhere. Also it's overpriced to my opinion.

Yelp
Ever since this place blew up on social media, I've been wanting to try this place out. Banh Khot Lady definitely lived up to the hype. This place is located on Mc Faddon Ave and Hortense Dr. The parking lot is tiny and shares it with other neighboring busineses, so you might need to find street parking along Hortense Dr. The interior is even smaller, with pnly ancouple of tables to eat if you dine in. Like many other reviews have mentioned, dedinitely put your order in ahead online, else of it's busy you might need to wait. I ordered the 15 Bahn Khot and 5 eggroll combo and it was already waiting as I put the order in online. This was for my bf and I and it was plenty of food and then some. The bhan khot was crispy and flavorful. Shrimp and pork in every bite, along with the lettuce leaves, mint, cilantro, and picked radish and carrots. The fish sauce is so addicting too everything was delicious. They also have snacks on the side to buy as well. Service was amazing and the lady at the cash register was so friendly and was so appreciative of our business. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
First time we came here since we were in the area. WOW! amazing service, great food and friendly staff. The banh knots were so good and flavorful. We found out it's no eggs are used. It's tumeric and coconut milk. If you are allergic to eggs, you should be safe. The banh knots were delicious! It came with lettuce, radish, carrots, and their signature fish sauce. Must try!! Their eggrolls were so good too. It had shrimp and pork inside them. The cashier was super friendly in explaining their food and talking about their story. He gave us a sample of their drinks to try and they were delicious! We wished we lived closer to have more accessibility to them. They do make party trays as well.
google avatar

Sandyna S.

Yelp
Amazing banh khot! I ordered the 20 piece. The perfect texture and perfect flavor. They have great fish sauce and also sell it in a bottle as well. Veggies do come with your order. Option to dine in, although it's very tight inside. If you're ordering to go, I would recommend placing order online and picking up. They do have utensils and boats available to take with you. If you're ordering there, expect a 20min wait as they do make it fresh.
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
God, one of those places that meets the hype and more. The ordering process can feel off only because it's a to go business, but a simple call in made the process easy when I didn't have a pick up time online that worked for me. I ordered the 15/5 bk and egg roll combo and that was plentiful for two people. This is everything I love about viet cuisine, savory and fresh with amazing texture and clean, impactful flavor. Give it a try!!!

Yelp
I enjoy the bánh khọt here a lot. It's perfect to eat for a picnic although it does get your hand quite messy with the dipping sauce. I always book ahead online, and I assume you could probably dine-in if there's room, but I've always taken it to-go. The garnishes are good: they curate a good selection of fresh herbs and veggies (perilla, mint, lettuce, cilantro, etc.). The dipping sauce is good. The carrot and daikon pickles are good. It all comes together wonderfully when you wrap the bánh khọt with lettuce and other herbs, then toss in some pickled carrots and daikons, then dip it all in the fish sauce, and you have a balanced flavor fusion in your mouth. If you bring this to a party, you will have fulfilled your food duty.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this place for the longest time. Finally got the chance and it did not disappoint. They have a super small parking lot which can be a bit tricky to park. The lot is shared with other businesses too. But if you have a little patience eventually you will get a spot since most are picking up their orders. When I got there there was a small line already and it had only opened up for about 15 min already. This was the past Saturday. The gal in front who took our order was super friendly and nice explaining our options. We ended up get the 30/20 combo. Which was 30 banh khot and 20 egg rolls all with pork ans shrimp. She said it would take about 20 minutes. We decided to leave and come back. They do have a couple of tables and chairs for inside dining. Again space is a bit small, but works. Came back and picked up our order which was fast and friendly. We brought it home to eat. It came in like a pizza box style. They provide a lot of lettuces/mints/veggies that were fresh packed in a superstate bag for us. The banh khot was dense enough, crispy and very flavorful even before dipping into the sauces provided. The sauce was also very flavorful. The egg rolls were crispy and delicious. I can see why people were raving abiut this place! I definitely will be back for some more!

Yelp
I can say a must place to order Banh Khot if you are in Westminster area. Pre-order is recommended. We ordered it a day before and when we arrived it was almost ready. The place is small with some limited seating. The best is to eat it when it immediately when it is warm.

Yelp
Omg. So good. I wish we had a place like this in the Bay Area. Best banh knot ever. Crispy, tasty, with all the fresh herb fixings and fish sauce. Worth going out of your way for. This is mainly a takeout place. Not much room to eat there, so just keep that in mind. Order ahead if you can, since it takes a while to cook. But definitely still worth carving out time for.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so flavorful and delicious! I have only ate this twice and each time we called ahead to order. I highly recommend if you have a chance to swing by

Yelp
Cute small Banh Khot shop! The shop is small and unassuming but they have pretty good food! The place is generally better for take-out due to having limited seating but the ladies at the front pack the food nicely so it can be taken elsewhere. The ladies at the front were very cordial and fast with our order. As for the food, I really liked the egg rolls. They were light, flavorful, and amazing especially when dipped in the included fish sauce! Unfortunately, I actually did not like the Banh Khot. They were crunchy on the outside with a slightly gooey inside which was good but they had too much oil within them. The oil was too much for me. Overall this place is worth a visit for the egg rolls alone!

Yelp
First time at the store front! I got to try banh khot lady at a wedding last year (yes they cater and they have a great setup for it too!) The store itself is quite small with limited seating indoor. Also limited parking outdoor in the plaza they're located in. Service was quick, I was greeted immediately upon entering and was asked if it was my first time here. The guy thoroughly went over the menu for me and made ordering nice and easy. Even though the menu doesn't show it, a 10 piece banh khot order is an option! The wait was a bit long for my order, but I was notified that it would take 20min when I was paying. Next time I'll definitely call ahead to order. They give a generous amount of veggies to accompany your banh khot. Delicious & hit the spot, can't wait to come back to get some more!

Yelp
I've never came across a place that sells this underrated Vietnamese Dish! Food: The food was amazing! Veggies are refreshing, and the banh khot was crispy! Fairly priced. Service: Workers were kind and incredibly fast! Ambiance: Super cramped inside but understandable as they are trying to maximize seating for customers. Otherwise, great!

Yelp
Can't say I grew up being these, so I'm by no means an expert. I came across this store after a friend recommended it. I ordered the five pieces with shrimp and pork. It comes with fresh herbs for you to wrap it in, a side of some pickled vegetables, and dipping sauce. The banh khot are made fresh to order which I liked. I tried one by itself and it was crispy and hot. The coconut milk they use in the batter pairs very well against the saltiness of the pork and shrimp. Then I tried the rest of them wrapped with the lettuce, mint, cilantro along with the pickled vegetables. What a complete dish! All the flavors paired well with the freshness of the vegetables and the dipping sauce really rounds it out. I only ordered 5 pcs, but a couple behind me ordered 20 pieces to share. Next time I come back, I'm definitely ordering more!
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Yummy spot that specialized in banh khot as the name implies! They sell other goods too like taro chips. I've gotten pick up orders from here a couple times now and they never disappoint with freshly made hot and crispy banh khot. The interior is cozy with limited seating inside, but I feel like banh khot is definitely a meal you want to eat when it's just been made. Nonetheless it's cooked well so even after a drive home it is still delicious. Next time I think I'll try the combo with egg rolls too!
google avatar

Greg J.

Yelp
Super bomb little spot. I saw an IG reel then I happened to be on beach blvd so I placed an order. It took 45 minutes as that was the first available time to pick up. I drove all the way home to Portola Hills to share them with my family and they absolutely loved them. They all asked why I didn't order more. I put them in the fridge and reheated them in the oven and they were still amazing. Pickles plus lettuce was the winning combo. I'll 100% be back very soon.

Yelp
This was our 3rd time ordering banh khot from BKL. Ordering process is easy - you can reserve a pickup slot online or just call in to place your order. I recommend doing this at least a day or 2 in advance in case they get fully booked. Banh khot here are delicious - freshly made with crispy exteriors and soft interiors. The banh khot boxes come with all the herbs and picked veggies you need to make a wrap along with their delicious nuoc cham (fish sauce based dipping sauce). The type we ordered were shrimp and pork filled - each little banh khot had a piece of shrimp and ground seasoned pork filling. Only downside is the price point. I ordered the box of 30 which came out to $51.54. That breaks down to $1.72 per small banh khot. These were for a party so I didn't mind paying this for a dish I knew everyone would love, but my Vietnamese friend thought we were nuts for paying so much. For the ease of ordering, taste and quality, I would def recommend BKL. Oh! And while waiting for my order I purchased a bag of their seasoned pork rinds - they are deliciously addictive! $14 per small bag, but dangit these are tasty.

Yelp
Just ate from Banh Khot Lady in Westminster and wow...so good! Our friend group ordered the banh khot and fried egg rolls and both totally hit the spot. The banh khot were super crispy on the outside (like, perfect golden crunch) and soft and savory inside. The shrimp on top were fresh and cooked just right, juicy and not rubbery at all. We added the dipping sauce and every bite was packed with flavor. The egg rolls were bomb too. Really crunchy, not greasy, and stuffed with tasty filling. You can tell they care about what they serve. Super friendly vibes, food came out hot and fresh. I'm already planning my next visit.

Yelp
The best banh khot I've had! Exterior is so crispy even after dipping it in the fish sauce. Inside is soft and seafood is tender. Flavor is very well rounded, esp w the creamy coconut. Herbs are fresh. This place is amazing!! Service is nice and fast.
google avatar

Yelp
The hype is real! Delicious banh khot! I love how crispy it is and then the interior is soft with all the protein. The daikon and fish sauce were perfect with the banh khot and then wrap it all up with lettuce and herbs. I especially love the daikon so wish we got more of that! We got a pack of 30, but wish we got more!! You can pre order in advance on the website. We wanted to eat it sooner so we ordered in person. I saw that people were able to call in and place in their order. We had to wait an hour to get the banh khot, but there were no lines to order in person. Don't forget it's cash only! Service was great even though they are so busy! They have some small tables inside to sit at.
google avatar

Sheila K.

Yelp
Tiny little shop, if you didn't know it was there you'd probably miss it! We only knew to look because we heard realllly good things about this place and the noise was true. Keep in mind-- we had just eaten lunch AND got a big cup of coffee after so we were pretty full but we HAD TO try it since we were in the area. We went in and ordered the 5pc plate! There were 4 of us total and it was a struggle, even with those tiny pieces! It's a shame we couldn't eat more because they were freaking delicious, and oh so fresh! I wish we had more time on our trip then we would've saved it for a true, hungry moment. No regrets, though. Though small, it still had a few seats to sit on as well as the cutest little seats near ground level... which is where we sat. There was also some outside. The girl working the counter was very nice and patient with us as we were deciding what/how many to order. If we had this place in our area-- it would be very dangerous. Would be something I'd turn to for parties/catering for sure. Thumbs up!

Yelp
Our friend drove up from San Diego for a fun day in Orange County, and Banh Khot Lady was our first stop. We've been here before, so we knew to place an online order ahead of time to avoid the long wait. She ordered for pickup, and it was ready when we arrived. We got the 20/10 combo with 20 banh khot and 10 egg rolls to share. The banh khot were perfectly crispy and generously filled with seasoned shrimp and pork. They paired so well with the fresh herbs, lettuce, and pickled vegetables. Dip in the fish sauce for an umami-packed bite. It does get a bit messy but it's so good. The egg rolls were also tasty, filled with flavorful shrimp and fried to a perfect golden crisp. One bite and you will understand why this place is so popular. A bit pricey, but a must try if you're in the area.

Yelp
Wow the wait is long, but worth the wait if you can plan around the order. I'd call to order ahead The order: 30 pc Banh Khot The good: it's absolutely delicious, even after a hour. Call or order ahead online. The bad: there's always a wait and there seems to always be a line. The store front is tiny. It's cash only.

Yelp
4/15/24 4.5 stars Next stop on our mini family foodie tour of the day was Banh Khot Lady. They have been in business for about 2 years or so and were trending on social media platforms over the last year or so. The restaurant was much smaller than we imagined with smaller/short tables and stools to give a Vietnam street food feel. We ordered the 15/5 combo box of (15) banh khot w/shrimp/pork and (5) shrimp eggrolls. They have options of pork and shrimp, pork or shrimp only for both banh khot and eggrolls. The banh khot was really good and full of flavor and a 'must' to eat there hot. It's not the same Togo. Items are served in a pizza box. Orders come with lettuce/herbs and chili sauce. Don't forget to grab supplies for your order. It's a grab what you need supply rack of napkins/utensils/paper trays and sauce cups. We arrived at 4:45 and didn't know that they stop serving for indoor dining at 5. They close at 6 but from 5-6 it's Togo orders only. They did in the end accommodated us as we shared we would be dining quick and dashing to our next food place. We ate 1/2 there and packed the rest togo. Unfortunately, there are no public bathrooms. Our little one needed to use the bathroom and we had to take him elsewhere. We asked and it was a firm no. :(

Yelp
Finally made it out to Bánh Khọt Lady after seeing it blow up on social media. The spot is tiny and super busy -- definitely feels like one of those small street food stalls in Vietnam, with tight seating and a line of big to-go orders. I ordered the 10-piece bánh khọt and 2 egg rolls. The bánh khọt had a nice crisp on the outside, slightly soft in the middle. Wrapped with herbs and dipped in the fish sauce, each bite was super satisfying. The egg rolls were decent, nothing wild. Tried to place a second order but the wait shot up to 30+ minutes -- guess the hype is real. Overall, the bánh khọt here were tasty -- crispy, flavorful, and fun to wrap up with all the herbs. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait and limited seating. Pro tip: place your order online or call ahead to save time, especially on busy days. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Yelp
I was nearby and ordered banh khot for take out. I was contemplating on getting the 5 piece banh khot but I decided to get the 20 pieces for myself. My reasoning was that I would get 3 meals out of it and I sure did. So delish. If you pay with cash, no tax. The other banh khot places are thin, not this place. It's thick, just like how I like my oatmeal. Parking lot is small but there's residential parking. The restaurant is small but has 2 high tables and 1 very low table with short chairs kind of like how one would sit in Vietnam at sidewalk vendors. The staff that answered the phone spoke English. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Haven't had any better than this. I truly appreciate you guys all at Banh Khot Lady. No matter how busy or overwhelmed they get, they're always super friendly and great with informing their customers on how long the wait time is.
google avatar

Grace N.

Yelp
You KNOW it's good when the menu only has 1-2 items. They make banh khot and egg rolls only, with the option for shrimp, pork, or both fillings. We ordered the 15 banh khot 5 egg rolls combo set. The flavors are great and the amount of meat is perfect. They are both super crispy too, and it came with vegetables and do chua. We really enjoyed it and find the price to be reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. There are a couple of tables but it's more set up for pickup.
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
We got the 15/5 combo: which is 15 banh khot and 5 egg rolls. Glad we came here early and beat the rush because while we were waiting for our food, so many people came to order. They have seating inside and outsides the tables and stools they use is very cute. I love the amount of veggies they give. I would say it's just right. I thought egg rolls were kinda small. I would rather just go for tháng khot only. Every bite was so packed with flavor. I highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
I came in right before BKL closed this past weekend. Tony and his staff helped me. Everyone was really kind, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of my questions as I was driving back to Manhattan beach with boxes of stuff from bolsa including the banh khot. I was worried that they might get soggy, so he gave me some tips and packed them perfectly, so we could enjoy all of the goodness back in the South Bay. I highly recommend this humble little banh knot place in bolsa. The food is great, price is fair, and service is good. I will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: 4.5 stars You can order your choice of banh khot or egg rolls ranging from 15, 20, or 30. I ordered the 30 banh khot/ 20 egg roll box and it was more than enough for four people. It comes with a nice size bag of veggies and fish sauce. The banh khot was nice and flavorful with crispy edges, each bite has shrimp and minced pork topped with green onions. Only downside I would say is that the batter has a strong coconut milk flavor. Service: 5/5 You can easily order online and choose a time for pick up. Order is ready for pick up when I arrived. Ambiance: 5/5 Nice little mom and pop shop, that is decorated to replicate the Vietnamese stores with little chairs and table.

Yelp
If you have been on the hunt for fresh Banh Khot, look no further than Bank Khot Lady in Westminster! I ordered the 15/5 combo box for a party that I was going to and it was packed full of delicious food! The crispy mini pancake cups were filled with shrimp and pork and to add on top of that they give you a huge bag full of cilantro, lettuce, perilla, pickled daikon, and carrots so you can make a wrap and dip them into the nuoc mam sauce. Once you order, it takes about 20 minutes for your order to be ready as they make everything to order rather than having some ready to go for freshness. If you want it quicker, I recommend ordering online or calling ahead. If you want to eat there, they have a couple tables you could sit at and eat your banh kot but they are knee high like if you are back in Vietnam. Service was also great with the cashier being quite friendly and bringing out our order when it was ready. There is parking in the small lot, but there's street parking nearby as well. Highly recommend coming here if you want amazing Banh Khot!

Yelp
We were staying in Dana Point but made the drive out to Westminster just to try the Bhan Khot Lady--she blew up on social media during the pandemic, and now I completely understand why! I ordered 30 total, the half shrimp/half pork combo, and it was so flavorful. Each bite had that perfect crunch on the outside, with a soft but fully cooked center that was incredibly satisfying. It comes with the classic Vietnamese dipping (fish) sauce and the freshest mix of greens--romaine lettuce, mint, basil, cilantro, and perilla leaf--which balance the richness beautifully. Totally worth the hype and the drive. If you haven't tried her yet, make the trip--you won't regret it! (Thanks to my childhood BFF Janelle for insisting we make the drive! The rest of our girl group loved it just as much!)

Yelp
I have been seeing this place on my TikTok for a while now and been wanting to try, so on our quick trip to California from Las Vegas we decided to stop by. We weren't too hungry so we only ordered something to share and to go,I did see their combo boxes but it was on the pricy side so we ordered ala cart 5pcs of banh khot and 5pcs egg rolls. We called in our order just in case they were busy which was a great idea because they were. Only had to wait less than 15mins and let me tell you it came out piping fresh! The banh khot is very good they both came with the veggies and the dipping sauce, I can see what the hype was all about because this place is delicious! So glad we got to try it and we will definitely be back on our next trip to cali.

Yelp
4.5 stars!! **FOOD** Perfectly sized, great texture and tasty. The to-go pizza-like boxes are thoughtfully packed and all orders include green veggies for wrapping, nuoc mam sauce and pickled carrots/daikon. You can also opt for some mild chili. (It looks and tastes more like salsa imo. The concept was a bit strange to me at first, but it actually complemented the nuoc mam flavors very well!) I wish they gave more green veggies, but am otherwise pleased and impressed with their thorough set. Love that Banh Khot Lady is next to Binh Dan, so you can pick up some banh khot here and mon nhau (drinking food) from there and have a nice spread for guests or your family pretty quickly and easily! **SERVICE** Friendly and easy. You can place your order online or call and then pay when you pick up. Both are pretty easy unless they're super busy and don't pick up. You can also indicate your pick up time, which helps keep the banh khot fresh. Tip: You might be able to save a few bucks (tax and processing fees) if you pay cash! **PARKING** Tiny parking lot shared with a few other businesses but usually not too difficult to find a spot as people are always coming in and out.

Yelp
I love getting banh khot from this place and it's my go to spot whenever I need to bring something to a party. Only downside is the parking area because it's very small and compacted and can be difficult to find parking or get in and out of the plaza which is why I always order ahead online and just pick it up so I can be in and out quick. They give plenty of veggies and sauce with the order. Definitely want to try their eggrolls next time!

Yelp
I LOVE BANH KHOT LADY SOOO MUCH! first of all, the service was so friendly! the girl who took my order was so kind and even offered to text us when the order would be ready if we wanted to step out. they also added extra banh khot + egg rolls in our box :) we took our food to go and it was still so crispy when we got home. literally the best banh khot ive ever had. the veggies are all so fresh too! banh khot lady will always be a go to for me

Yelp
Yes, these are expensive. Yes, they are delicious. I saw these being advertised on social media and decided to pickup a 20 banh khot/10 egg roll box for a party that I was going to in OC. Order through their online service and came 1 hour later to come pickup the order. They finished the order exactly at my time (literally saw them pulling out the steaming box right when I arrived.) I like the ambiance of this little spot, makes you feel like your eating in Vietnam. They have little stools to eat there and all the utensils you need to enjoy at the restaurant. Do not skip the chili they have there because its bomb! The verdict, everyone at the party loved these and the box was gone in an hour. Each bite is enjoyable, and mixed with all the given veggies make it a great appetizer for any party. It's not something I would get often due to the price but if you've never tried banh khot this place definitely makes it best. If you pay with cash, they don't add tax which is a little nice bonus. Parking - Little shared lot in front and there are plenty of larger parking lots nearby.

Yelp
Tiny tables and chairs fill the dining space. Comically small, you wonder if you have finally found the Midgetville of urban legend. You know, the one where the little people in the Wizard of Oz went to spend their retired years. But seriously, I think the small furniture is the product of the proprietors' sense of humor. A portrait of the dual proprietors hangs over the cashier's counter. They are sinisterly well dressed and surrounded by vintage appliances and ephemera. It's a sort of cassette futurist scene up there on the portrait. As the name indicates, they specialize in banh khot. The crisped and cupped pancakes, studded with shrimp, pork and onions and sweet with coconut and turmeric are, evidently, a popular street snack in parts of Vietnam. the bottoms on the mini pancakes are crisper than shards of glass. The tops are soft and pudding like. Like banh xeo, the khot are served with lettuce, herbs, chili sauce and fish sauce.... At eleven dollars for five, I think they might be overpriced. Then again, they are craftily made, so maybe not.

Yelp
Not a lot of places make banh khot and this place makes it so fresh and crispy! My friend and I shared a 15 banh khot and 5 egg roll combo and we were stuffed with some leftovers. It came out pipping hot and you wrap it with lettuce and herbs. Surprisingly, I liked the fish sauce that it came with! I would stick to the banh khot only next time as I'm spoiled with home made egg rolls. Only complaint is that there's no sink to wash your hands after as your hands do get messy and sticky afterwards. It has a shared small parking lot and just a few small tables that resemble actually eating in Vietnam which was cool. Perfect place to pick up food for potlucks in my opinion!

Yelp
I have been seeing this place all over social media and it has been on my list! I am glad to say I finally got a chance to visit and get some of my cravings fixed! Nothing like good Vietnamese food in Cali when visiting. The staff was super friendly. A small spot inside with a few tables and a couple tables outside. A majority of people ordered for take out and I did as well. Banh khot was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was perfect! My tummy was definitely happy. The vegetables that came with it was fresh and the nuoc cham paired well where it was not overpowering with garlic. I will definitely be back again!

Yelp
The absolute star of my trip. I will be raving and recommending this place to everyone who comes down. I've had Banh Khot maybe 10 or so times in my life, and this was absolutely the best one I've had. At first I thought 15 Banh Khot at 5 egg rolls would be too much for 2 people, but it was just right. They also have 5/2 or even 5/0 on the menu in-store. I did not see those options when ordering online, but it worked out. Probably less than 10-15 seats total. We ate outside and thoroughly enjoyed our food. It was probably the first veggies and nuoc mam we had all trip, so it felt so refreshing compared to everything else we ate all week. The banh khot is perfectly crispy, but still with a slight interior battery texture. You can taste the seasoning and tumeric. It's the perfect vessel to dunk into the nuoc mam, which is also really well done. It's everything you want in a box. I didn't see any options for Pork only banh khot, but I hope they can accommodate in the future if I ever take my family since some people in my family don't eat shrimp. This place will be on my mind for a long time. I will order Banh Khot from restaurants and remember that nothing compares to this. Life changing.

Yelp
I heard there was a shop that specialized banh khot with very good reviews. I had this on my list for a while and finally had the chance to check it out when my boyfriend and I were going up to hang out with his brother, whoohoo! It's located in a tiny area off of W McFadden Ave in the Mc Fadden & Hortense plaza in Westminister. There's a small parking lot for customers. The directions were kind of unclear so my boyfriend and I accidentally parked in another lot and walked over. We wanted to try both the banh khot and crispy eggrolls that were the only two items on the menu. Based on the pictures, the crispy eggrolls were definitely unique as each roll contained a full shrimp which I rarely see! And they came out to be exactly like the pictures! As there were 3 of us, we thought the 30/20 Banh Khot & Eggroll Combo (Shrimp & Pork) would be just enough for us, so we placed our order on their website (about $100 worth) to avoid waiting too long. Their website shows an estimated wait time as well which was very nice. The three of us arrived and got our order and omg, it was HUGE. Literally a party tray for a small party - not for 3 people. We definitely overestimated the amount of food we were receiving LOL. We were given fish sauces on the side and bags of vegetable wraps and pickled vegetables for our meal. First, wow! Both items were VERY crispy and fresh - LOVED that. Second, mmm! Both had so much flavor! I couldn't get enough of the two! But eventually, I started getting sick of the oiliness and the same repetitive foods, LOL. But nevertheless, this shop was really good. I definitely loved how they threw in the vegetables to eat with the two items as they were quite oily on their own. The food here is more of an fried appetizer shop. Come in with no expectation of a real meal and feeling a bit gross from all the fried foods, but super satisfied. I thought the price was quite steep but the quality of the food was really good! Definitely will be back soon especially since I've been seeing that Banh Beo were (will?) going to be served soon??

Yelp
The banh khot here are delicious! Believe the hype, you will not feel disappointed. This restaurant was on my to do list when I got to Orange County. I should have put in an order online but I missed the cutoff. Small restaurant, more of a togo set up. They have a couple of tables in front to dine. I walked in and asked how long was the wait for 20 piece? The clerk said about 30 minutes, then the phone rang. Customer called to cancel her order just minutes after they brought out from the kitchen. The clerk asked me if I wanted it? Of course!! The universe sent me here and it's my lucky day. Will definitely come back for more next time I am in town.

Yelp
All the food is GAS!!! Banh Knot is the best and a must if you come here. The nuoc mam sauce is so good, they even have these pork rinds soaked in them which I try to get every time they have them in stock. Their tea drinks are good and worth trying. On our last visit we tried their Chex Mix and OMG so good too. I would be here once a week if it was closer to me.

Yelp
The hype is real. Everything you read from other reviews, multiply It by 100 & that's how good It is. I'd advise you to order ahead online, we did that & still waited a good 15 mins or so which isn't too bad considering. There aren't too many tables, parking is kind of tight. We went like 30 mins after opening on a random weekday so It worked out perfectly that It wasn't TOO busy yet. For me Banh khot is one of those things that I'd rather go out to eat than make at home. I love how much lettuce and herbs they give you to wrap. The crunch, the fish sauce, the freshness, 10/10 would recommend and I need to go back asap. That's It. That's the review!
