"Bread-watch: A real chunker that belies its crispy heft to be balanced on every bite. The menu at Banh Mi Aha! on Lamb’s Conduit Street spans phở, bún bowls, and things on rice, but your first port of call should always be bread. The Special bánh mì is loaded as it should be (crispy pork belly, head cheese, ham, sausage, and a spread of chicken liver pâté) but it’s the other touches—a deeply savoury duck gravy that has a hint of Maggi about it and the splashes of aromatic five spice butter—that take it to another level. There’s plenty of crunch too: from the faultless baguette to the enlivening vegetables and herbs." - jake missing

"Lamb’s Conduit Street—all cobbles, pubs, much-loved restaurants, and content-looking people—is what people who don’t live in London hope all of London is like. It feels like an unimprovable little stretch and then, well, a brilliant little Vietnamese spot opens and we are once again desperately scouring Rightmove. LCS didn’t need Banh Mi Aha! but boy is it an excellent addition. There's no more than half a dozen tables inside but the menu spans phở, bún bowls, and things on rice like pork chop with gravy. However, your first port of call should always be bread. It’s been a year since I last visited Vietnam, and this bánh mì truly touched my heart. As a Vietnamese person, I can honestly say this is the real flavour of a proper Vietnamese baguette. I had the original one, it was absolutely delicious and generously sized (I couldn’t finish it all in one go! It has a lot inside). The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and kind, which made the experience even more special. The water infused with lemon and mint was a lovely touch as well. I came in on a rainy evening after a long, exhausting day at work, and this bánh mì genuinely lifted my spirits. Thank you for such a comforting experience.

Unfortunately, we had a rough time with diarrhea after dining here. We had the pho, papaya salad, and prawn spring rolls. The flavors were nice, but something didn’t sit well. Just sharing in case others had similar experiences.

This looked like a really nice place to dine. Lambs Conduit Street always has a nice buzy vibe and great little independent shops and eaterys. But unfortunately, I was hugely disappointed. Being you order food from the counter yourself, a 12.5% service charge is a sly and excessive charge for the food to ONLY be brought to your table. (yes we did refuse to pay this). When I asked for soy sauce as the food was really bland, I was told I had to pay extra for soy sauce, which when the prices are already extortionate for what you get, charging for staples like soy sauce in a Vietnamese restaurant is a joke. When bringing this to the attention of the manager, was told everybody that comes here can afford it and have never made a complaint about spending extra for the chargable condiments, totally missing the point.. Insulting to say the least. Honestly I wouldn't bother, there is far better places that serve far better food and with great prices and free condiments!

Little gem in the neighborhood I absolutely loved this place! The foods are all above average but there are small details that makes this place better Bahn mi bread was crispy fresh and hot (Maybe i was lucky?) but the bread sometimes serves cold in other places but this place was FRESH Pho soup had a deep flavour They know how to make the broth Pho was a bit expensive then I thought (£15) so not sure if I would go there regularly because of the price… but still good

A small spot that provides great food which is slightly expensive for what it is. The location is nice and the interior has cozy seating. I have had rice bowls here to take away as well as having the Pho sitting in and they've both been delicious. It is a little cramped inside- a good spot for solo or duo but they only had one table for four when I went there. Great spot if its a sunny day outside and you can take your food to go and sit in the sun.

Okay… it was one the best pho I’ve had in London. The temperature of the soup was good, they give generous portion of beef as well!!! Gonna come again!

Looking around for something to eat in the area and this came up quite highly recommended. There was no queue when we arrived (11:45), but soon after we sat down it got quite busy. The staff were very friendly and recommended something for us to try. Service was very quick and the food was fresh, hot and delicious.
