"Hồng Hoa offers one of the city’s better all-around banh mis. The bánh mì thịt nguội, called 'extra mixed meats' on the handy English-language menu, has a bit of everything: a schmear of peppery pate; crunchy, barely sweet papaya pickles; Chinese-style roasted pork; Vietnamese-style steamed sausage; salty chicken threads; and more. On the opposite end of the banh mi spectrum, the bánh mì ốp la, with fried egg, is minimal and delicious. The place mostly sells items to go, but there are a few plastic chairs. Hồng Hoa doubles as a bakery, so the bread is always fresh." - Austin Bush

The better of the two in area (Huynh being the other). The filling is what stands out here, I went for the bbq pork and it was excellent (nice bits of crackling in there and mixed cuts). I also had the pork balls one and that was also excellent. I’d happily try any of the others on the menu with confidence. The extras (bao & wrapped leave bao) were very average, far too much bun and not enough filling. Stick to the Banh Mi and you can’t go wrong!

One of the best banh mi I’ve had across Vietnam. Finally found some crispy roast pork belly. I opted for the bbq pork meatball banh mi and it was faultless. Sweet and spicy. Very good highly recommend

Ordered the bbq pork and a regular size extra meats. The menu has pictures and descriptions. The staff are friendly. The bbq sandwich was good. The sauce is a little sweet. The extra meats was also nice. I added a fried egg to mine. The pate was really good, and I'd prefer it wasn't so loaded with meat. It's a bit difficult to eat. Paid with cash.

The pickled vegetables that came with the bahn mi was really good. It gave a very nice tangy flavour that cuts the meats. I tried their BBQ pork version and I loved it. It was on the sweeter side but it’s how this region marinate pork. They have small (d42k)or large (d55k). Reasonable prices. This is really close to the very long queues place and a good alternative if don’t want to queue.

I searched this shop on Grab to buy and bring back home for family but I couldn’t find it so I went there instead. Bought their 3 best sellers and asked to pack properly for travel and Yes they did packed very well and got back home. My family enjoyed it like fresh bale out of oven, of course, I did reheat them.

Best banh mi I have had during my 2 weeks in Vietnam. Service was quick. Great tasting and filled well, not too much meat but has a good meat to veggie to bread ratio. Would highly recommend and would have went back if I had more time in HCMC. Also had good coffee.

They let you pick your portion size, so you won’t waste a bite. Plus, the bread is always piping hot—like it just came straight from the oven. They even throw in some chili for an extra kick, which I loved. Honestly, I’d still recommend it (as long as you don’t mind the no-frills vibe!).

Well balanced Banh Mi, the taste of the meat was good and it came with a good ratio of ingredients. The bread was also good. It wasn’t the best Banh Mi we ever had but it was a solid one.
