While visiting Philadelphia over Easter weekend, I booked Easter brunch at Bank & Bourbon—and it did not disappoint. The endless buffet was impressive, offering something for everyone. From a made-to-order omelet station and hearty carving stations to fresh pastries, seasonal fruits, and decadent desserts, every detail was thoughtfully prepared. The quality and variety were top-notch, and no one was leaving hungry! It was a perfect way to celebrate the holiday—great food, warm service, and a lively atmosphere. I’d definitely return for another special occasion brunch.

My Aunt was staying in the Loews Hotel for a speaking engagement at a conference held there and she asked us to come meet her for dinner. I made reservations for 5 people through the RESY App for 4/6/25. We were seated on time and the service staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered our meals. I ordered the crab soup and Salmon. We had enjoyed our meals until we saw a mouse scurry across the floor in the dining area near our table. This was my first time eating here and I was very surprised that a mouse was present. It made me not want to eat anything else. We didn’t notice anything funny about the food or anything but just the thought of there are possibly rodents in the restaurant turned us off. The manager comped what desserts we ordered from our table but honestly we could have caused a more unpleasant scene. It was almost like they know and this is what they do to make up for it. I didn’t like that. For the restaurant owners and operators, I wanted to leave a better overall review score but this needs to be addressed immediately. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else but I most likely will not return. And it’s unfortunate because the food was delicious.

I just came here with my family for Thanksgiving dinner and it was fabulous! The buffet had tons of food and great options. To briefly go through the stations, they had appetizers (mostly salads and vegetables, meats and cheeses, and stuffing and mashed potatoes). The stuffing was the star of the show since it was made with brioche. Then the meat and seafood section which had turkey, roast beef (AMAZING), and salmon. They also had bread rolls and shrimp cocktail and oysters. Lastly, the desserts. I was overly stuffed by that point but I managed to try a couple cookies and the pecan pie. I wish I had an extra stomach! I also recommend the rye-tai drink—very tasty. Service was excellent as well. Jess was our waitress and she took great care of us, made great suggestions, and checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure we were doing okay. She had a lovely personality and was always smiling when she came over :)

The burger was juicy. The fries were fantastic. The cute little bottle of ketchup was cute.

I stayed at the Loews for six days and visited here every day. The breakfast menu was very good with a lot of variety. My favorite was the salmon salad. (This is only on the weekend menu). Above all, Jasmine did a perfect job. Her service was confident and proud and made my stay even better. I will definitely be back here on my next trip to Philadelphia.

Food was good....not spectacular. Went for the Thanksgiving buffet. I first was a little irritated because I asked to seat in the half-booths by the window and the hostess said, and confirmed with another, that we could not sit there without specifying that in our resy reservation. She stated although empty, those tables were saved for those asking for a window seat in their booking. I thought, F' it, fine. Water service was quick, but I waited over 20 mins for my regular server to introduce herself and get our drink orders. I actually had to ask like 2 people to send her over. She had been in our area servicing other tables, but did not greet or welcome us in any way. Once she finally attended to us, I ordered the wine tasting offered with the buffet. The food was good although some offerings were better than others. Overall I was satisfied. But between the table and the wait for service, the whole visit left me disenchanted. When a mother and daughter got seated in a window table across from is, I asked if she requested for or specified that before seating. The mother said "Not at all. I was surprised I got seated here. " At this point my anger was coming back and I asked to speak to the manager. He gave some nonsensical, b.s. excuse about bookings and overlooking and overlap, which completely did not address the situation. He did comp my wine tasting. Although I still had to send someone after my waitress after waiting 20 mins for a check. And she automatically assumed, without asking,my 12 year old child was an adult, so again it went back for correction. As we left, the original corner window half booth requested remained empty the entire time and was still not filled. 😑 SMH.

Yelp
The food at Bank and Bourbon was very good. I went with a coworker for lunch during Restaurant Week. It was $20 for an entree and dessert. A good deal! The hostess was welcoming and seated us quickly. Water glasses were filled immediately and bread was brought to the table. The bread was very good. The server also greeted us quickly. The restaurant has modern decor. It is quite busy at lunch but wasn't loud. The menu had 3 entree choices and 2 dessert choices. The arugula salad with asparagus, peas and a mint dressing along with a decent piece of salmon was delicious. The salad was chilled but the salmon was perfectly warmed. My coworker had the steak and fries which were also very good. The portions were a good size without being overwhelmingly large. We had to take our desserts to go so we could get back to work. The chocolate cake was a large piece. It was delicious. The butterscotch cheesecake was extremely small even though the 2 men next to us had pieces that were double the size. The server did exchange the piece for a larger one.

Yelp
Super nice restaurant, some of the best food I've had, and it proves that the only reason anyone should ever have to go to Philly is the excellent food. I ordered the filet mignon, which melted in my mouth, with a gorgeous, medium rare center, and a crisp, flavorful crust. Side dishes included some mashed sweet potatoes and broccoletti, which were all delicious and seasoned to perfection. This steak was $57, and it was worth it. I had a bite of my friend's octopus too, which was outstanding. Only complaint I have is the small menu, otherwise this place, while pricey, is awesome. My boss paid for everyone's dinner, so that wasn't a problem in the slightest.

Yelp
The customer service was lovely. The food was delicious and the bourbon was rich. I would definitely come back here to eat again. The ambiance of the establishment was incredible as well.

Yelp
I went for brunch and honestly it was just okay. The food was good but seemed expensive for what it was. It's attached to a hotel, so if you're staying there it's definitely convenient but I'd skip it and go somewhere else for brunch.

William N.

Yelp
The prices are high and the food is definitely not fresh. The preparation of entrees was more visually appealing and disguised an absence of flavor. Delicious has long since flown away. The evening petrol lamps on tables spew noxious exhaust noticeable upon entering the space. Why? The fumes detract from everything. The service was just the opposite of all this.

Joe M.

Yelp
Absolutely coming back, had the pleasure of meeting the head chef, Chef Craig! What a guy! Everything he prepared for our party was absolutely delectable! Definitely coming back, service was top notch as well! All hail Chef Craig!

Yelp
What a cool spot! Stopped here to have drinks while visiting a friend in Philly. We both had d Fashioneds, me with Makers, my friend with Bulleit Rye. My only "critique" was the small ice cubes instead of one large one. We also had garlic parm fries and some really good buffalo wings. The servers are attentive. It's in the lobby of the Loews hotel but the vibe is not like your average hotel lobby lounge. Good place for after work/post-sightseeing drinks. I would definitely utter go again if I was in Philly.

Yelp
August 10 2023 - 4 for dinner. I am just disappointed to even be posting this review other than to say the hospitality business in Philly is in deep trouble if a flagship hotel like this has staff and management that is this out of touch with the norms and expectations of the general public let along at an 'upscale' hotel chain like Loews. I don't have many 1 star reviews, usually I just delete the pictures and try to forget the whole experience. BUT maybe Bank and Bourbon can take some feedback, make some changes, lead and manage their way out of this?? OR until then another Yelper can avoid my mistake.......its why I post reviews in the first place. The service at the bar and then at the restaurant was simply abysmal. I felt like we were to 'blame' for these folks having to actually come to work and do something? Not chronologically millennials but the attitude and attention to the diners was totally absent. Like govt workers? On a Thursday night it was almost empty to boot except one large group. The costs and resulting wine portions were almost insulting for the labels and cellars being consumed. Same with with the martini and mixed beverages. It was like 4x the cost of the already outrageous PA LCB wholesale costs...... So a double negative - EXPENSIVE and PITFUL service. When the disjointed 4 entrees eventually all arrived the salmon diner was insanely massive (I guess to justify the price) and the Amish Half chicken was also very large. Honestly BOTH meals were well cooked and tasted good mostly. But our experience there was already ruined by tracking down wait staff and getting orders straitened out, trying to order drinks, even have our first drink order taken?? We almost left TWICE and should have gone the FIRST time we thought we should have??? Oddly we had multiple different salads and entrees that had the same mustard style dressing? My wife's TROUT with cipollini onions, haricot verts, baby arugula, caper-brown butter had the same mustard tasting dressing as my BRUSSEL SPROUTS SALAD with cranberries, pecans, held the fog goat cheese, champagne vinaigrette dressing that was also heavily mustard flavered??? I actually did NOT go around the corner to Vedge one of my favorite restaurants in the country up there with PerCe, Bouchon, French Laundry, Le Bec Fin, etc etc. and had friends come to the Lowes for the easy parking and the fact that we were staying there???? I am a Lifetime Titanium Elite with Marriott brands and opted NOT to stay there across the street for LESS money per night because of my status and 40 years of staying with them. This was my second stay with Loews Hotels in my 40 years of travel. I have never eaten at a brand restaurant hotel that was this bad with service? Our guest couple own/have owned multiple/ restaurants in Bucks County and a currently a major Wedding venue as well. They were shocked. What a mistake and disappointment.

Yelp
Great food, great service, loved the ambiance. I stopped in after a morning at Joseph Anthony Spa, on a weekday during lunch. I made it for lunch and had the place pretty much to myself. My server was attentive, he checked on me often and they didn't rush me out. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was soooo good. It was huge, fried just right and tasted oh so good. The side bread and butter was good as well.

Yelp
Hearty country style cooking served in hot skillets! Can't go wrong with the steak or the chicken! Great people watching view of Market St & excellent service! A must stop for Bourbon lovers with a private tasting room!

Yelp
Bank & Bourbon offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, with an extensive drink list. We came here as a large group for a later dinner, and we ordered the following starters: +Charred Romain Caesar Salad - with romesco, sourdough croutons, and a lemon-caesar dressing +Grilled Octopus - with shishitos, tomato confit, and a red onion vinaigrette +Seafood Chowder - with lump crab, creme fraiche, and herbs - this was stated as having a bit of a kick, so if you're not into spicy, avoid! For shareable sides, we had: +the Parmesan Rosemary Fries - the parm could have been layered and sprinkled throughout +Chive-Roasted Local Mushrooms - I love mushrooms, and this was my favorite for the night; could have eaten multiple servings of these! +Roasted Baby Carrots - with tarragon-honey butter; the carrots were not really 'baby'-sized, but they could have been roasted more; most of them were pretty raw +Smashed Fingerlings - served with herb butter; some of these were overbaked and more on the dryer side, and the skins were tough For the entree, I had the Sixty-South Salmon - this came with a sambal-maple glaze, sweet potato succotash, and miso butter; the fish was very overcooked and very dried out. The sambal-maple glaze made it hard to chew, as it was super hard. Wasn't sure where the miso butter was. The sweet potato succotash was just okay, but could have been seasoned. I also tried their Blueberry Pie for dessert, which was more of a tart - topped with a blueberry compote and a scoop of crumb cake ice cream, this was just okay; I did enjoy the generous amount of blueberries, but the crust was very dry and crumbly. Service was very friendly; I wished extra silverware or larger spoons were offered with each of the side dishes, as we did keep requesting for extra wares. I also wished that they left pitchers of ice water at the table, as most of our drinks were waiting to be refilled. The vibe of the restaurant is dark and chic, and this place seems to be a favorite choice for HH. +Chive-Roasted Local Mushrooms +friendly service

Yelp
I ate a late dinner with coworkers. We ordered several appetizers to share. The food was decent, and our server was very friendly and attentive. Nice restaurant for guests of the hotel.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, nice and friendly staff. Food was ok but overpriced. Not a fan of the potatoes.

David B.

Yelp
I am updating my review because I have been to this restaurant many times over many years so I have discerned changes. First of all, I have noticed a heavier and heavier hand with sauces and dressings. I had three appetizers and every one was over-sauced or over-dressed. The flavors were cloying too I didn't really enjoy any of them. I detected this before but I think it is a trend, and a common problem in Philadelphia restaurants in my view. I just came back from Paris and they certainly have a lighter hand with everything so I admit that could color my perceptions. I might have even removed one star, though this is the standard problem where differences are measured in less than a star but Yelp doesn't accommodate us. I slammed the service at this resto because consistently over years I felt uncomfortable with the staff. Yesterday my experience was the opposite. The host couldn't have been warmer. My server also was extremely warm throughout the meal. There is some kind of ideal where a server makes the customer comfortable without being fawning, that was him. I don't know why there was a transformation, I had the sense there had been staff turnover. I found the food distasteful enough that I would think twice about eating here, though in fairness all I had was appetizers. But the extremely warm service, the fact that this resto is consistently spacious (lots of empty seats, the space much larger than the clientele it attracts, makes this place a very useful stop for dates (for example) or meetings.

Yelp
I am very disappointed that I have to write this but it was totally disgusting what we saw. Greeted warmly by host and waiter. Attended to guickly, orders taken and food arrived in a timely fashion for our party of six. As we were sitting there talking and finishing our meals, mice decided to take a stroll through the restaurant ! Under the tables right across from us. We immediately get up to leave and inform the staff but everyone was elsewhere. We had paid our tab and staff disappeared. The site of the rodents made half of our party immediately sick outside. Please don't spend your dollars here until this issue is rectified!!!!!

Yelp
we came for restaurant week. the ambiance made us feel like we were definitely fine dining (fancy classic booths, candle light, dim lighting) but the food was a bit disappointing. the salmon was a bit overdone while the hanger steak was really chewy. The best dish we got was the 1/2 chicken. It was so juicy! we were also already on our main course and our cocktails still had not come out yet. we asked about it and the server was really polite and apologetic. they even gave us each a glass of wine on the house which was kind of them. *there is street parking all around and valet parking options but we parked in Chinatown and walked to the restaurant. **it was a good one time experience but personally i don't think i would come back.

Ivan C.

Yelp
The food is delicious, and both the server and the receptionist were very kind. I love the energy of the place and will definitely come back!
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week, food and drink were quite good! Had to wait a bit for our table despite a reservation, which was mildly annoying, but once we sat down it was awesome! Great for celebration. The sourdough bread to start was great. Would have earned bonus points if it was hot, but it was good bread. Appetizer highlights were the beef tartare and the mushroom soup which was umami salty deliciousness! All of the entrees were incredible, but if I had to put them in order it would be the steak, then the risotto, then the salmon - the salmon was itself really good so just shows you what the competition was! For dessert we got a cinnamon bun cheesecake that was heavenly. We got a couple rounds of drinks that were interesting - one of them had a heavy root beer flavor, as advertised, never really had anything like it. Definitely recommend trying them! Overall, highly recommend!

Yelp
Smh I forgot to snap a picture. I opted for the buffet at breakfast. The food was great and fresh. The waiter was friendly. We had a large party and the only issue was some menu items took a while to come out. Simple things like the parfait. Also the gratuity is listed as other on the receipt. We were confused by that. The waitstaff struggled with explaining the "other" line item to our group.

Yelp
Some of the best food in the city! My husband and I came here for our anniversary and I am sure we just found our special occasion restaurant. The appetizers were delicious. I highly recommend the pork belly. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I've never tried duck before but I did try the crispy duck leg and it was delicious. The fried burrata was amazing as well. For dinner we shared the filet. It is a huge serving to share. We still had leftovers that were very much enjoyed at home the next day. I personally don't eat a lot of red meat but this filet was very flavorful. For desert we shared a triple layer chocolate cake. It came with marshmallows and ice cream that was so incredibly creamy. The facility is spacious and clean. Very modern and sleek. Every member of the staff that we encountered was fantastic. Our server, Jenna, was on the ball making sure our drinks were topped off and that we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Bank and Bourbon and can't wait to come back! Compliments to the chef!

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere I was not over impressed by food and service was a little bit of a miss I would give it almost 3 1/2 stars The seafood gumbo was prob was the highlight Great drink menu Also had a beer and the Miller light obviously hadn't been ordered a lot as it was a bit skunky I would have asked for replacement if waitress had come back in a timely Manner I found the octopus and the pork belly underwhelming compared to where I have had at other places Maybe a good place for steaks as they mention it as their specialty (and pricey I noticed) May have been an off night and I may be being overly harsh The atmosphere is great so maybe worth a stop but with some reservations toward having a full meal
google avatar

Yelp
My second time here. First time was for brunch. This time dinner. They had a limited menu. And a mean it was very limited. I ordered seafood chowder. It was very bland. Had a good amount of crab in it. It was vegetables soup based. The trout was good. Cooked perfect. And the Parmesan truffle fries. Our waiter Jonathan was okay. I think he had too many tables. We asked about splitting the bill and he says it would take forever. 3 minutes later he comes back with split bills that was very interesting. I will come back with my boyfriend so he can do the bourbon tasting. Hopefully the menu will not be as limited.

Janelle B.

Yelp
The ambiance is great for late night, upbeat type of feel, especially during sports season. The service was fast and attentive. The food was not that great though. Crab soup, salmon entree and the other fish entree was not great at all. However, the tuna tartar was amazing. I'm a whiskey drinker and like the atmosphere, so I would probably go back for the vibe, drinks, and appetizers only.
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for a cocktail before dinner in Chinatown. My wife had a Paper Plane which was very good. We watched the bartender make it and he used Cynar instead of Nonino and it was surprising close to the original. I had the barrel-aged Negroni and it was fantastic. Apparently, they pre-batch the ingredients for 2-3 weeks in barrels at the bar. High-end bar vibe in the Loew's Hotel. Service was good even though they were very crowded because there were wedding groups. Would certainly go back and highly recomended.

Yelp
Bank & Bourbon was our choice for Valentine's Day. This was my 1st time here. I liked the open space! We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was phenomenal. He was very attentive. We never had to look for him for assistance. We had a small menu for Valentine's Day which was $85 per person which included. Appetizer, entree, and dessert. Both cocktails were delicious. The appetizers were okay. The entrees were good. I did ask for a side of mash potatoes or whipped potatoes to accompany the steak and learned that they do not offer mash/whipped potatoes. Maybe it's just me! But I need potatoes with my steak. I devoured the chocolate cheesecake. I will try Bank& Bourbon again!

Yelp
I came to Bank & Bourbon for a special event with another great business on location, Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa. We got to sip on finely made cocktails, enjoy a beautiful spread of charcuterie, cheese, veggies AND get a massage and facial. Cured meat and a back rub? Sign me up! To get to the event space you walk through the low lit, romantic dining room and bar area. This type of place has the power to send you back in time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. The private back area is a great event space, it's intimate, well decorated and suitable for any occasion. The food spread was delicious and the cocktails were on point! I had a chance to talk with the manager, and it felt like I was talking with a friend. In my opinion, friendly staff is what takes the food, beverage and hospitality industry from good to great. I can't wait to come back so I can dive in to the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Bank and Bourbon is an upscale restaurant located in the heart of Philadelphia. The restaurant has a great ambiance with a mix of modern and classic decor, and the service is exceptional. The menu offers a wide range of options, including delicious steaks, seafood, and salads. I was here during Philadelphia restaurant week, the three courses including appetizers, main courses and desserts. The standout dish is the hanger steak. The steak is cooked to perfection and has a great flavor that pairs perfectly with the restaurant's extensive bourbon selection. The sides are also noteworthy, especially the roasted carrots and mushrooms. Overall, Bank and Bourbon is a great spot for a special occasion or a night out with friends. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of food and service make it worth the splurge

Yelp
I went to Bank & Bourbon during center city restaurant week! It was absolutely fantastic! We were greeted by a nicely dressed host. We were walked over to our table. We were tended by 2 people. Constantly checked in on. For drinks I definitely recommend the "Secret Knock" drink. It is clarified with milk, has all the flavor and none of the alcohol taste. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were perfect! Looking forward to going back soon!

Deonnie H.

Yelp
We were very excited to try this place and their restaurant week menu. The night started off strong with "where we're going we don't need roads" cocktail and "Boulevard of broken dreams" mocktail. We then got beef tartare and a cheeseboard for appetizers which were delicious. However, both entrees were very disappointing. The true north salmon was surprisingly very spicy and the hanger steak was way way way too salty. Dessert was chocolate fudge cake which was a little bland and cinnamon roll cheesecake which was unique and delicious. Service was great and atmosphere was nice.

Yelp
Stopped in for a lunch date with my girlfriend to break up the workday during restaurant week, and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, ambience was relaxed, and the service could not have been better. While it is a little expensive, I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Party of two went for center city restaurant week 2021 Choice was decent and we liked the food and atmosphere Service from host and server was more outstanding than food. Really liked their mannerisms Valet parking validation $10 was convenient too Restaurant is located in hotel building , We had to ask for some access card each time using lady's room Overall, it was good experience

Yelp
Located inside of Loew's Hotel, this restaurant was chosen by a friend due to it being a Bourbon bar. I'm not a Bourbon fan so I ordered a cider. The menu was quite small but had a choice of beef, chicken, salad, pasta and fish dinners. I ordered the Amish Chicken, which was HUGE! It was a half roasted chicken, fingerling potatoes and some kind of slightly bitter, raw greens. It was pretty good--the chicken breast could've been cooked a little longer and the potatoes could've used more seasoning. Service was so/so. This was a one and done for me.

Yelp
Came here on a weeknight and was very impressed with the service and food. The restaurant was quite empty, which we liked, but I am sure it is usually full during the weekend. We started with their charred Caesar salad and their broiled oysters. The salad came with romesco, sourdough croutons, and lemon-caesar dressing. DELICIOUS. The oysters were also full of flavor and came with mâitre d' butter, Aleppo, parmesan, and lemon. Just phenomenal flavor. We ordered the filet and the bone-in New York strip for our main courses. The filet was served with duchess potatoes, candied carrots, creamed kale, and demi-glace. The filet was good but not mind-blowing. The NY strip was definitely much better and came with fingerlings, roasted baby carrots, and a watercress salad. To finish our night, we ordered their triple chocolate cake, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. It was served with a toasted marshmallow-chocolate ice cream, but it was just MEH. The cake was dense and dry, and the ice cream was not good. We probably had two bites and left the rest of it.

Yelp
This is a great location in downtown Philly. Located centrally close to everything. The food quality was great, the chicken was good, and the drinks were tasty. I would definitely return considering the portions and the flavor. The ambience is good and also seems like a great place for happy hour drinks.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Bank and Bourbon for 2022 Winter Restaurant Week. We had anticipated the restaurant would be packed, however, we had nearly the whole place to ourselves. As a result, the ambiance was intimate and quiet. We also had attentive and caring waitstaff. Our server spent time answering all of our questions and ensured we had an excellent experience. He explained that the restaurant is located in a historic building. The Philadelphia Saving Fund Society Building, where the restaurant is located, is regarded as the first International Style skyscraper built in the U.S. For the appetizer course, we ordered the Pork Belly and Butternut Squash Soup. The Pork Belly was tender and had a nice smoky flavor. It was served with a cabbage slaw which was a perfect combination. The Butternut Squash Soup was also a hit as it warmed us up after our cold and rainy walk to the restaurant. You could easily taste the apple and nutmeg. For the Entrée, we ordered the Sixty South Salmon and Hanger Steak. Both the salmon and steak were cooked to perfection. I particularly liked the creamed kale that was served with the steak. Per usual, dessert was my favorite course. And unlike most restaurants where the dessert portions are tiny, these desserts were large. We ordered the chocolate mocha cake and apple-maple bread pudding. The cholate mocha cake was moist and full of espresso and chocolate flavor. The apple-maple bread pudding was served warm and was drizzled in a whiskey-caramel sauce. Overall, we had an excellent experience at Bank and Bourbon. The ambiance, service, and food were stellar.

Yelp
Came during restaurant week. Both me and my coworker ordered the salmon. I am a decent cook but still I could have made better at home. The salmon was well cooked but bland. The sweet potato hash was under cooked and very bland. The cinnamon roll cheesecake was clearly frozen and thawed out. I was just expecting more from a restaurant at the Loewes hotel and good atmosphere. The drinks were good and the service was pretty good.

Yelp
"Wow they're steady losing points" - was said at our table. First we should've known once an employer said, "it's never crowded" - in that way. You know the way I'm talking 'bout. Let's talk about the most important part. TASTE!!! My Branzino tasted like it swam in vinegar, same vinegar the chicken sat in. Hmmm IDK. It was a struggle to eat. Nothing, absolutely nothing we ordered had taste, seasoning or was even cooked ... ie red burger that we sent back, came back the same way or the lightest fried Parmesan fries I've ever seen. Calamari ordered, never came out. Branzino is full of bones, just letting you know Incase you ask your waiter and he tells you "NO" SMH I can't even continue to drag this place. Maybe there was a sub-chef????

Yelp
I imagine most of the dining establishments are checking Covid vaccine cards throughout Philadelphia. Although the restaurant was closed on Monday, the bar part is open, albeit empty. Service was phenomenal. Couldn't really change anything. Ordered the grilled octopus with eggplant base (with chorizo and garlic), green peas, red sweet onions, parsley, and spring onions. I love garlic, but in this instance, it took away the flavor of the octopus. I did lose my appetite as a result.

Yelp
This is a really nice bar in a classy hotel. I've always had a good experience over the years, but returned recently for the first time and it has changed. For an expensive hotel bar with fancy and very pricey drinks, the staff is unexpectedly subpar. The bartenders were very obviously having loud, personal conversations that distracted them from their responsibilities to serve patrons at their bar. Our bartender took our drink order, stood around talking to his friend for a while and then was never seen again. We were clearly trying to leave for about ten minutes before we finally got someone's attention to get our check. Because the bar is in a hotel in the middle of Philly, the bathrooms are closed off and you need a room key to use them. As someone who has been here many times, I know this. The bartender, however, had no clue what I was talking about when I asked for a key. He hopes it works, he said. Well great! I do too! If my drink costs $20, I would expect a little more professionalism. It was just odd to me that most of the people working seemed to be unaware that they were actually working.

Yelp
Came here for restaurant week and the food was good! For appetizers, we ordered the butternut squash soup and the taste of ham. Both were delicious! For entrees, we ordered the flat iron steak and sixty south salmon. They were both OK tasting. Steak was a bit chewy and over done. For dessert, we ordered the apple maple bread pudding and the chocolate mocha cake. Both were good!

Yelp
So I am giving them an extra star because we had a private party that dictated some of the menu items but with that said they were poorly executed. My thought is that if they couldn't make the items they should have declined to allow them to be part of the menu or suggested a change. Our first course was cauliflower soup which was completely flavorless. There was no cauliflower to be had it tasted like warmed up heavy cream. Saying it was unpleasant is being generous. Main courses were choice of either filet mignon or chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mash potatoes were the only thing edible. Everyone who opted for the filet had it cooked to death no matter the temp requested. The poor asparagus were burnt on the ends and undercooked and unseasoned. The mashed potatoes were good. The final course was dessert which was chocolate cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. These were fantastic so I skeptical of them being made on premises. I suspect they were brought in from somewhere else. Service was excellent. All of them were very pleasant and helpful. They deserve all the stars and tips. Again I am grading on a curve because it was a private party with specific demands of the menu so 2 stars for the effort. TLDR: Food is lackluster - come here for drinks and tips the staff as they are the stars.

Yelp
Very expensive for subpar food and poor service. The hostess was amazing!

Yelp
5 stars based solely on the service from the bartender, which was phenomenal. She gave excellent recommendations and was super attentive. That said, it was essentially dead, so not many other customers to attend to, but she was great and the drinks were solid. Her bourbon knowledge was also pretty impressive and helpful in making drink recommendations! Didn't have any food, and the ambiance was fine - nothing to write home about, just a standard looking bar/restaurant.

Yelp
Ate here yesterday and the food was fantastic, as well as the service! I ordered a whole chicken which was such a big portion, I shared it with my partner. I also had roasted potatoes, mushrooms and carrots and everything was seasoned so wonderfully and tasted so good. I was so impressed with the chicken, being that it was very juicy and tender. I would encourage anyway who loves good food and great service to try this place out. The restaurant was also very comfortable and had a great atmosphere!

Yelp
Awful service. Mediocre food. Can't even mix a good cocktail. Should also mention overpriced. Stay away!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing time here. We came down to Philly for the weekend and were having trouble finding a place to grab drinks - some of the places in the area had a power outage and closed for the night. We happened to pass by here while walking around. We spoke to the host Kirk about grabbing a couple cocktails for my birthday. and at the moment he didn't have any seating available in the lounge available for just drinks. However, he was super accommodating and managed to squeeze us in at one of the tables they had in the dining section. Our waiter Edgar came over immediately and brought us water for the table. We were then able to order our drinks- I ended up ordering A Dustland Fairytale, which is tequila based. It was tart and strong without being too much. They were surprised us with a cheesecake and a candle, which was incredibly kind and generous of them. One of the things I liked most about Bank & Bourbon was the incredibly accommodating staff. We got some weird looks from people because we weren't dressed as nicely as other guests as we stopped in here randomly and we weren't ordering dinner, but the staff never made us feel out of place. The little details of bringing a cake and candle and Edgar being so attentive to us the entire time really just made the experience here truly special.

Yelp
Great bourbon selection. The gal behind the bar was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will go again.
