Davies and Brook at Claridge’s Gets Five Star Fay Maschler Review | Eater London

"Located in a converted bank and run by former Gordon Ramsay International CEO Stuart Gillies, this is an unpretentious, welcoming neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant with an eye for detail and cheerful, well-trained service. The brief but meaningful menu finds a comfortable middle ground between a house-burger and an elaborate tasting menu: a marvellous buttermilk chicken in crisp tempura batter slathered with barbecue sauce, blue cheese and spring onion; perfectly judged plaice with sweet beetroot and salty parmesan; tiger prawns with a harissa that "knocks your socks off"; and a fiendishly drinkable house cocktail. It feels posh without being overbearing — the kind of local place that prompts the question of why more venues don't get this balance right." - George Reynolds

Gordon Ramsay’s Former Group CEO Will Open New Restaurant in Chiselhurst | Eater London

"Opening in mid-July on Chislehurst’s high street in a converted three-storey former bank, this European-style wine bar will serve daily-changing small plates alongside a wine list that includes a number of organic and natural varieties. Led by chef and former Ramsay group CEO Stuart Gillies—who has lived in Chislehurst and wants to bring London-quality, more accessible dining to the suburb—the project reunites him with chef Bobby Brown (formerly of Bread Street Kitchen) and general manager Angelika Oparczyk. The concept emphasizes relaxed, aspirational eating as a regular lifestyle choice rather than a special occasion." - Adam Coghlan

Thank you Marcin, Henry and the rest of the team in organising our BNI networking Xmas party event. The atmosphere in the upstairs private function room was superb. The food and service was spot on and we did not want to leave! Thank you so much for a superb night.

Went out for dinner with a friend. This was by far, THE best restaurant experience I've had this year! It was perfect from the get go. The service, brilliant! The cocktails, amazing! The food, delicious!!! The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The service quick. The Maître D, added that little special touch, by saying he was putting us at this romantic, table by the window (really set the mood for the rest of the evening:p), which it was! My favourite was the beef fillet with the truffle mash. It was tender!!! The truffle mash, just as good as mine :p. My friend had the venison, and said it was fantastic! Their house gin was delicious. Definitely on my list for a revisit. I cannot rate the Service enough!!! Great job!!!

I didn’t have food but everyone food looked great. I enjoyed two espresso martinis at the bar and they were amazing, I asked for extra sweet and they did not disappoint. I’ve worked in hospitality all my life and struggle to find places that hits all the spots that I look for. This place definitely delivers on atmosphere and service.

Cool restaurant in a vibrant area. Our group had a really lovely evening. The staff had a proper knowledge of the food and were able to suggest menu items we should try. The restaurant has a modern vibe and seemed to be popular with the locals. Overall, good food, reasonably priced wine and great staff.

One of the best dining experiences in the south east of London. Exceptional quality of food, excellent service and of course a varied and detailed wine list. Will be coming back again and again no doubt! - Update We've been again but had our wedding dinner here after our service, wanted something low key. And as usual food was excellent ordered in advance, team was attentive as always.

Fantastic evening for a valentines treat! The staff were very welcoming and very attentive. I had a wonderful gin cocktail which was honey flavoured so tasty. The food is tapas style and full of so much flavour, highly recommend!

Sunday lunch was excellent, and so was the service. Beef roast with veg was £25, a bit more than some places, but the beef was tender and well worth it.
