"This Tigard-area diner has been a neighborhood standby for a cup of coffee and a slice of fruit pie since the ’70s. Here, the strawberry pies are glistening domes of red, the cream pies — from peanut butter to banana — are luscious and nostalgic, and the mixed berry pie is encased in a golden, toasty crust. The real move is to start with the restaurant’s chicken pot pie, the platonic idea of comfort food." - Michelle Lopez, Eater Staff

"Since 1979, this Tigard pie shop and restaurant has been a required stop at the beginning of a road trip, for breakfasts of stuffed hash browns or biscuits and gravy followed by slices of key lime pie. Pie is definitely the draw here — for a savory option, the restaurant’s chicken pot pie is a smart start." - Eater Staff

"A common sight for anyone traveling west on Highway 99, the family-friendly diner Banning’s has been open for 40 years now, most of which has been 24 hours a day save Christmas, when it’s closed, and Thanksgiving, when it closes at noon. In the classic diner, pies slowly spin on a rotating display case, ready to be served alongside a massive menu of American diner classics, from three-egg omelettes to stacked club sandwiches and fluffy Belgian waffles." - Alex Frane, Mattie John Bamman

A Tigard institution (known for their pies I guess?) Had a nice big breakfast here — omelet with a side of pancakes! — but there’s also a full menu of other comfort food, with lunch and dinner items, and it’s open 7 days. Think of it as a modern diner - a bit more up to date, and without the old fashioned decor. There are booths and tables, and an outside patio, and the server I had was great. There’s a parking lot in the back, too.

We just moved out of Portland and we’re gonna miss this place so so much🫶 Great price for a good quality of food.. definitely one of the BEST pancakes that I’ve ever tried. My wife loved their Hamburger. ❤️❤️ It was our first time trying pies// yes yes our first time and we definitely love it Customer service just amazing nice and warm people.. thank you 😊

So I started with some delicious crayons!!😁👍🏻 lol. I must say, I have drove by this restaurant many times and never had the opportunity to stop by till today. What an amazing atmosphere let alone the setting was so pleasant. The food was delicious and I will recommend this restaurant to anyone to come and try it. My party of eight only waited maybe 5 minutes tops. Quick service and friendly. More than enough parking also.

We were all hungry for different things, from comfort food to breakfast. This restaurant exceeded our expectations. First of all, our waitress Ava was very friendly and attentive. She didn't miss a beat and was so sweet to talk with. We all found great things to order, such as chicken marsala, kids' chicken strips, a breakfast bowl, and a breakfast special. My side salad was crisp and fresh, along with the delicious salad dressings. Portions were generous as well. The fun part was ordering dessert! The display case is visible right when you enter so you can stratigize your selection. The Keylime pie was scrumptious and perfectly creamy and tart. The Elvis pie was so good as well. It's a perfect mix of chocolate, banana cream, and peanut butter. And I'm not even a peanut butter lover. All in all, very good! We will definitely be back for more.

Google
Heard good things about this restaurant. Gave it a try on a Friday afternoon. Waited about 5 min to be seated. Lots to choose from on menu. We went with the breakfast options. The country fried steak was chewy. The biscuits were really dry. Stuffed hashbrowns were good. We got 2 pieces of pie to go. Strawberry rhubarb and Elvis. Wasn't impressed with the strawberry rhubarb. The Elvis was delicious. Pie slices start at $6 and go up. Might stop again for pie slices to go.

I’ve been here many times and it’s usually great, but today might have been an off day. The chicken was dry and tough, which was disappointing compared to the usual quality—but not enough to take away a star.

Google
Really good pancakes. Pie and coffee are ok. Key lime pie could use some more pucker power, zest, lime, acid. Hard to tell if it was a graham cracker crust. Elvis pie sounds good but was nothing to write home about just pudding on pudding with browning bananas in the middle. The chocolate really comes through but the peanut butter and banana are only whispers. Prices are high for what you get.

Google
I've been avoiding Bannings for years simply because I expected it to be a dressed up version of Denny's or Shari's or Elmer's, and I was not that far off. The service was good, the food was good, but nothing exceptional to be found anywhere. My country fried steak was nice and big, but it was fairly tough and had a hamburger-like texture, which I was not crazy about. My date had the French toast, which was everything it should be.

Yelp
Stopped in Banning's Restaurant & Pies for brunch with my family today! We arrived around noon and because it was Sunday, it was very busy. Nonetheless, the staff were very proficient, friendly, and helpful. My family and I were able to be seated within 10 minutes after our arrival (Table for 3). The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The menu was delightful, which made for a difficult choice for me and my family. I decided on the Breakfast Enchiladas. Within just a few minutes after placing our order, our food was served hot. The food looked absolutely amazing and tasted even better than it looked. Our waiter named Erika was very attentive and never missed a beat. Even though we were completely full from our meals, we had to try some pie. We settled on sharing a slice of the pumpkin pie and it was also amazing. After receiving the bill I was surprised to see that everything was so reasonably priced. I couldn't have been happier with my experience and I hope to come back again one day. Would definitely recommend to others! Thank you for reading.

Yelp
This place is just okay. If you're looking to support smaller businesses instead of your local IHOP or Denny's, definitely come here. The atmosphere is cozy, with a bit of that old-school diner charm, which adds to the experience. The staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow, especially during the breakfast rush. The food itself was entirely greasy and pretty bland--nothing that really stands out. I had the chicken and biscuits which was a huge portion but lacked flavor and seasoning. I had to use several napkins to soak up the top of the grease. However, what set this place apart was, of course, the pie. The strawberry rhubarb pie was so amazing that I'd simply go back here just for this. It was perfectly balanced between sweet and tart, with a flaky crust that was just right. If you have a sweet tooth, this pie is worth a stop. The menu items are decently priced, making it an affordable option, but overall, it's just another typical breakfast spot. If you're in the area and craving some good pie, it's worth checking out, but don't go in with high expectations for the rest of the meal.

Yelp
Another great visit to Banning's. So glad we found this awesome restaurant last year. Tried the breakfast enchiladas, they were delicious and perfect hash browns. My BF ordered the omelet and you get the option of a side he chose pancake and they give you 3. Service is really good, kept coffee full and quick. Restaurant is very clean & neat. Booths are comfortable. My recommendation is smaller portions so you have room for pie : ) 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Christina H.

Yelp
If you are a fan of pies, this is the place to grab a slice, or order ahead to pick one up. The key lime is one that was a favorite at my office. The 5 layer cake is another favorite at home. The regular food, not just dessert, is good too. Diner type food but still great for take out. Service is quick. Note: if you have been in the area for years, Bannings is no longer open 24 hours.

Morgan N.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our dinner at Banning's. We're a family of four. The kids got burgers and they were HUGE and delicious. My husband and I both got the half sandwich, soup or salad and pie deal and were so happy we did. The salad was really great with carrot shavings and even peas. I had the chili and it was great. We also had a taste of the cream of mushroom and it tasted homemade and delicious. By the time dessert came around, we were so full that we asked for our desserts to go. Marionberry poppyseed cake rocked my world and the carrot cake was dreamy! Even the bathroom in this place is awesome. Really well kept and modern.

Yelp
Great menu selection. Punkin pecan pancakes. Great service. Lovely diner. I highly recommend this fine tasty restaurants.

Yelp
Wow this place is great, fresh homemade ingredients, cheerful service and fair prices. Huge portions no one is going home hungry!

Raeann P.

Yelp
Bannings is my nana's favorite dinner spot, so it was only right that we celebrated her birthday here with the fam. It's one of those places that I would describe as solid - you can depend on it to be good; generally, typically, good. The vibe is typical diner, though not in a negative way. The prices are on par with the rest of the suburban area. I had the bacon cheese burger and a side salad. Both were as expected - good. If you're looking for a solid spot - this one likely won't let you down!

Ana R.

Yelp
Haven't been to Banning's for a while because it's always packed (I'm happy they have all this business) but we came in tonight after Mike's drive in was full. Food came out so fast, waited maybe ten minutes tops. My club sandwich and fries portion was massive, got leftovers! Fries were just out of the fryer and perfectly crisp. Our server was great as well, attentive but not clingy.

Matthew P.

Yelp
This place was good it's like you're stepping back to the 70s diner word. With the pie carousels and long booths. We had a burger with tater tots a French dip sandwich and fish and chips all were very good but he I like the French dip the best. The staff was nice and the service was quick.

Yelp
My recent visit to Banning's was a nostalgic journey, marked by the warmth of its history and the aroma of delicious, homely food. The dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in every bite, as the menu caters to diverse tastes without compromising on authenticity. Stepping into Banning's is like stepping into a culinary time capsule. Mark and Trish Banning have not only weathered the ups and downs of a changing economic landscape but have consistently delivered outstanding service and delightful dishes. The commitment to quality extends to their cakes and pies, which are nothing short of heavenly. Banning's Restaurant in Tigard is more than just a place to dine; it's a living chronicle of passion, family bonds, and culinary excellence. If you're seeking not just a meal but an experience, Banning's is the place to be. Here's to the next 43 years of Banning's, where tradition meets innovation, and every visit feels like coming home.

Yelp
A wonderful ending to a hectic day! We stopped in here on our way back home after a long trip and unfortunate mishap with our vehicle. But this meal definitely made up for it. Everything was extremely reasonably priced, and it was easy to customize for dietary restrictions. The food was hot and plentiful. I especially enjoyed the copious amounts of tater tot's that came with the meal, and that came as an add-on side. Our server was fantastic, always making sure our cups were full and checking in on frequently. The restaurant itself was really cute and had kind of and older style diner aesthetic. Our group of four comfortably fit in a table and everything was clean. If I'm back in the area, I will definitely need to revisit.

Yelp
I stopped by Bannings the beginning of August 2024 and was immediately seated in a booth which is always roomy and comfortable. My waitress was kind and efficient and did not have the fake high pitched service industry voice. She took my order and brought me hot water for my tea and proceeded to serve one of the best breakfasts I have tasted in years. Everything about my order was perfect from my over medium egg to the type of bread used for my toast. Even my syrup was piping hot and plentiful. From sitting down to order and paying my bill it took less than 30 minutes which is all the time I had before my appointment. Bannings consistently serves delicious, hot and flavorful food and will continue to be a family favorite of mine.

Yelp
Bannings is the closest I've come to a NJ Diner experience since I've moved to Portland! it's been 23 years, and I miss a good diner, a place that has comfy booths, good coffee, breakfast all day, a varied menu to please many different tastes, and home made desserts like 7 layer cakes and sky high pies! Bannings is legit! Elmers and Denny's are not. While the menu is 5 pages, not 12, and they aren't open 24x7, Bannings serves hearty, well prepared food from 7am - 10pm, 11pm on Fridays and Saturday. The rotating pie shelf greats you as you enter, and I was mesmerized by the strawberry, key lime, marionberry and apple pies. The 7 layer berry and the chocolate cakes looked amazing as well. Craving chicken and waffles, I knew going in what I was going to order. I was seated promptly, order taken, and food arrived fast and hot from the oven. The presentation reminded me of The Screen Door and I must say, the buttermilk waffle has them beat. It's slightly crisp on the outside and soft and pillowy inside with a wonderful hint of vanilla flavor. The chicken was crispy, and doesn't have as much coating as I prefer. The two large breasts were a bit over cooked but I still enjoyed my meal. One chicken breast was more than enough, along with half the waffle, so I brought the rest home for another meal. I'll go back and give Bannings, and the fried chicken and waffle, another try for sure. Next time, I will also take a slice of cake or pie to go. You can even purchase an entire pie and the prices are very reasonable. They have their own parking lot and if you are handicapped, definitely park in that area so you don't have to walk over curbs. I'm currently recovering from surgery and walking with a cane and it was challenging for me to get over the curb on the parking area right in front of the door. Celebrating their 44th Anniversary, it's no suprise they have been around this long and loved by so many!

Bubba Y.

Yelp
A decent "American" family-style restaurant. Large portions, great pie. Decent prices.

Mark L.

Yelp
I really want to love this place, its fine but not great. Its typical diner type food. Prices are reasonable. Ive been here several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Id say the breakfasts and pies are the best things here. Unfortunately, the food just isnt prepared that well. Lots of items Ive tried have been very bland or overcooked or undercooked. The service is hit or miss. Some staff are very friendly and attentive, while other times I've had pretty poor service with a strange or bad attitude. Im kind of giving up on this place. But, like I said, its not bad, its just very mid and not something Id go out of my way to patronize.

Erin C.

Yelp
Bannings isn't just for pies! Although they have some of the best pies in town, they also may have some of the best fried chicken. The variety of their menu ranging from breakfast to Mexican dishes to Thanksgiving dinner made me skeptical that they could produce everything so we'll without sacrificing quality or taste, but theres a reason they've been around as long as they have. Their service is friendly and quick, food is great, and it's a convenient excuse to get a slice of pie to take home.

Kris A.

Yelp
What a nice breakfast here! They have a lot of pies! My sister and I decided to share a strawberry shortcake to start with our coffee.. Nom nom! We both had our own dishes. We were seated quickly upon arrival. Lots of seating indoor and a nice outdoor patio seating is available. Our server was very nice, helpful and friendly. The vibe is very casual it's your neighborhood breakfast / pie joint. ** Strawberry Shortcake: So good!! It's not that sweet the whipped and fresh strawberries were delicious! ** Huevos Rancheros: Big plate served with. Side of roasted potatoes. The flavors are so so. I usually order this dish when I go for breakfast or brunch - I'm particular with the flavors and seasoning and this is more bland than a usual Huevos Rancheros. Lots of parking available. Would definitely refer this breakfast/brunch/lunch diner for anyone visiting Portland.

Paisley T.

Yelp
Very good. This is all homemade and you can taste it. It costs so much to go out to eat these days I figure it better be worth the trip and Bannings is a hit. They have something for everyone and it all tastes great. The burger buns are made fresh here and are delicious. The macaroni and cheese is the best I've had hands down. And of course the dessert is great. Huge cake slices and sumptuous pie. This is the place to go for American food. Can someone tell me what coffee they serve? It is absolutely delicious.

Chelly A.

Yelp
I've heard so much about Bannings so we decided to go check it out. The service was friendly. I ordered the fish and chips and had the fries substituted with tots. Heaven on a plate!! My sister had a ham and cheese omelet. All very good. So it was time to order dessert. We got a slice of the Marionberry poppyseed cake. TO DIE FOR!! The atmosphere was ok. Def worth a repeat visit!!

Deb K.

Yelp
Meant to do this last night. In the midst of the day after a huge wind and snow storm, everyone is shut down but Bannings was open. And they had hot fresh cooked meals! I usually don't pick them as my first choice because they are basically a family diner (that happens to sell great pies). But nothing was open and I needed a hot meal! They filled up quickly and folks were asked to wait in their car till they had an open table and were called. Good system considering the lack of a warm waiting area and the fire safety issue. I had the Bannings traditional turkey dinner. Hit the spot and then some! Servers were very polite and listened to each table's story of their wind damage or power outage or like us, both. They kept drinks filled and hot. Perfect dinner and we were just so grateful they were open!

David C.

Yelp
Marion Berry Poppyseed cake! Alicia is an awesome server! This place never disappoints! Love this place

Cara C.

Yelp
I can't imagine adding much more than what other reviewers have already said about Bannings, but holy cow, this place is tasty... Just go hungry!! The main points: Delicious comfort food in large portions (perfect for all you hearty appetites and leftovers lovers out there)! Humongous, tasty pies and cakes, including multiple marionberry iterations... Attentive service! Wine options, if that's your thing, you're having a little celebration, or if family dining also means family stress- haha! Close to the interstate and close to most of the area hotels, so you can go straight to bed and slip into a food coma when you're done. We were pretty road weary when we arrived, and were eating light, so we didn't indulge as much as we might have otherwise, but there will definitely be more of Bannings in my future three next time we're crossing through the area!

John G.

Yelp
We stopped for lunch and loved the menu and pies. The soup of the day was cream of mushroom which was a great start. I had a strawberry lemonade with big chunks of strawberrys for my drink. The sandwichs were delicious and of course we had to end with pie. I enjoyed my slice of strawberry rhubarb pie!

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Hands down the best mushroom burger. I've tried so many other places and they were good, but this was the best I've ever had.

Jan K.

Yelp
Fast service, welcoming staff, huge variety, gorgeous appetizing pictures on a non-greasy menu, but... I am still belching up the taste of old oil hours after breakfast, which was possibly the worst I've ever eaten. Plate appeared fast and was hot, but looked nothing like my order. I had ordered breakfast enchilada-scrambled eggs bacon chunks, green chili and onion pieces (skipped the cheese) and hash browns. Instead I got two small tortilla rolls with one egg scrambled inside and tiny specks of most certainly canned chili and the rest, smothered in canned sauce. The hash browns looked good, but were under-cooked and tasted like old oil, for $15.50. Husband had scrambled eggs cooked in old oil, bacon, and biscuits which tasted like Bisquick. We'll never eat there again and will steer everyone away from a waste of money and a case of biliousness.

Porshe T.

Yelp
They really came through for me when I was in need on Easter Sunday, par-baking their DELICIOUS Mac and cheese so I could pretend I made it myself at a family gathering. The chefs and management worked together to make this special dish and the toppings on the side. I paired it with their incredible strawberry pie and it stole the show, so thankful for this long established restaurant and it shows why they have stood the test of time and even a fire! They are the best, great prices, great food, great service and a homey feel to the place. All good!

Patrick C.

Yelp
Parking is always an issue. Not many spots and also some spots are on a hill, so make sure your breaks are good. I've tried a number of food items and they're all pretty good. A little slow on the service, but it's probably because it's crowded often.

April H.

Yelp
The mesquite chicken sandwich was phenomenal. So good, I return 2 days later for another one. The pumpkin pie was big and delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Jack H.

Yelp
Went to brunch last Sunday with family. Walking in, the environment has that diner feel, with the rotating pie stand at the front. The service felt more formal than I expected, but in a good way. The food arrived rather quickly, another positive note to add. I had the loaded hash browns which I enjoyed. This place won't necessarily blow you away with its looks and/or quality of food, but it's a solid brunch spot and would definitely go back.

Twila L.

Yelp
It's partially eaten bc it was so good. Reminds me of Granny's breakfast. Busy place but service is great! We'll be back.

Charlie T.

Yelp
This place is great for pies. I've had a few of their pies and have been impressed with them. My current favorite is the strawberry pie. It's literally packed with a mound of strawberries. It's simple but delicious.

Joy P.

Yelp
I really wanted this place to be a go-to pie house restaurant; however, the food did not taste good. The hollandaise sauce was exceedingly sour. I was also very disappointed that the vanilla pudding that they use in their pies tastes like cheap, store-bought pudding mix. Given that it is a 'pie house', you'd think they'd at least pride themselves on making their pies from scratch... Overall, the food here has the quality of a typical diner.

B. A.

Yelp
I've had lunch here with friends or family several times, always very good food, fair prices, fantastic service. But what I really love are the pies. They're classic old-school, meaning light, delicious crust and not too much crust. The filling to crust ratio is perfect. I order them for holidays. Everyone loves them! Apple, peach, and the various cream pies are my family's favorites. Banning's is a treasure.

Linda S. M.

Yelp
We absolutely love this restaurant. They serve a fine breakfast but where they really shine are their made-from-scratch entrees. They source their natural, hormone-free beef from Painted Hills, they make all of their soups, main dishes, and baked goods from quality ingredients and without a bunch of awful oils, artificial flavorings, or any of the other yucky stuff many restaurants use to buffer substandard cooking. While hamburgers, fries, fish and chips, grilled chicken salad, club sandos are always reliable, check out their meatloaf, chicken and dumplings, chipotle beef bowl, chicken pot pie and the rotating specials. This is no Applebees or Denny's. The owner of this place prides himself on offering first-quality, homestyle food you won't find very often around town...and be prepared to take some food home. Portions are very generous.

Jane B.

Yelp
I really like this reliable, casual local family restaurant. It's sweet. Food and service are decent and they have a senior menu. Pies are good too and they have a lot of them to choose from. Simple.

Andrew A.

Yelp
Finally: it took me nearly two decades to try this popular breakfast spot. They offer a huge menu of the traditional fare, but also diverged off the standard with their specials. Chilaquiles is one of my favorite breakfast dishes and Banning's has a respectable version with shredded braised beef. What would elevate it is sautéing the onions rather than simply dropping raw diced pieces. The green base sauce isn't as hot as you'd find at Mexican places, but expected given the regular clientele. Super friendly service by a Latina gal who was training a new employee, what a great classic spot.

Lori H.

Yelp
Met family here for lunch on a Sunday around noon. Definitely busy, but no wait for a booth. Many servers congregating around the bar seating area. It took 20 minutes for our server to take our order. He wasn't super busy, mainly chatting it up with other servers. Kind of irritating and not the best impression for a first time visit. Once our order was taken, things seemed to get better. He was more attentive...refilling waters, etc. Our table ordered the chef salad, clubhouse with tots and the breakfast enchiladas. The chef salad was good; they didn't skimp on the ham and turkey . The lettuce was fresh; no brown pieces. The breakfast enchiladas were good. The clubhouse was yummy and the tots cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. After reading other reviews, I couldn't leave without trying the marionberry poppyseed layer cake. OMG, it was absolutely delicious! The cake was moist and the frosting was super yummy! I'd definitely return for that! Overall decent food and delicious dessert! Will be back for the dessert for sure!

Stephen T.

Yelp
Bannings was a good lunch. Lots of American food options on their menu. Kind of felt like a slightly upgraded Denny's restaurant without the menu pictures. Service was ok, but not anything overly special. It was "meh"

Sheryl M.

Yelp
After a day at the Portland Zoo, we were looking for some good food--homestyle food since we're from Texas. Also wanted to be able to sit down and have someone wait on us and take our order. Decided to try Banning's and are we glad we did! All the food was fresh and tasty, and the service was excellent. Large portions, good flavor. We ate outside. And then we got chocolate cream pie! Hard to choose from their huge list of pies. Soooo good!

Mindy J.

Yelp
I'm not sure how they have so many 4 star reviews? Mind you we only ate breakfast and did not have any of their yummy looking desserts and maybe that's what keeps people coming back? Breakfast was disappointing to say the least..my husband had ordered an omelette and they give the options of pancakes or hash browns with toast/biscuit..most places have the hash browns included and you choose your bread or pancakes..not this place so first there was that. I had the traditional breakfast with a biscuit, biscuit was served without butter, asked our server to bring me some which she never did..used some left from my husbands pancake to find the biscuit to not be edible..was a very dense texture and tasted awful..the hash browns were the only decent thing. Daughter had the breakfast enchilada and said it had no flavor..could not even taste the enchilada sauce..we will not be back and would not really recommend..

Cory W.

Yelp
Great Diner!!! Good food and great service. Big portions, decent prices also. The vibes inside are exactly what you'd expect.

Michele B.

Yelp
I have not had a bad meal here. Everything is always tasty and made with love. Our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. They got a bit of remodeling,I believe cus they had a fire at some point, but it's got upgraded seats and some lovely simple pictures. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and my dining pal had the chicken pot pie. I was extra hungry this day and decided on strawberry shortcake for dessert. The cake under the strawberry was still warm and so soft. Perfect amount of sweetness without being too sugary tasting. I absolutely love this place, everyone should give it a try.

Julian A.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by today at peak brunch time and was surprised that we got seated immediately despite the crowd. Our waitress (Anna) was awesome; she was friendly and attentive, and even refilled my beverage before I even had a chance to request a refill. I went with the Classic Breakfast #1 and it was quite delicious! Super simple (just the way I like my breakfast). Also, they serve Coca-Cola products! My wife got the Belgian waffle and she couldn't stop commending the dish (it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside). We will definitely be back!

Mandi R.

Yelp
Slightly above average bakery + cafe food. I ordered the sweet potato skillet off the specials menu. It was pretty good and a ton of good! Our waitress would ask us a question and walk away before as we were giving her the answer. Annoying. I'd come back to try their lunch/dinner menu, and definitely their pie.

Yelp
Came here for a late night dessert and it satisfied my sweet tooth. My wife got the elvis pie (peanut butter, chocolate banana) and I got the marionberry/almond cake. The former was ok (I'm not a huge banana chocolate fan) but I thought the cake was great! My experience left me wanting to come back to try more pies and cakes!

Yelp
I just got done with my meal at this restaurant. I ordered the avocado veggie melt. It was a soggy mess and there was no cheese to be found. I thought I was crazy and ordered a sandwich without any cheese by mistake, but no the menu said that there was supposed to be Swiss on the sandwich. I will not be returning to this overpriced diner.

Yelp
Classic diner, straightforward breakfast fare, bustling ambience, friendly service, leave room for pie

Yelp
The service experience was far from satisfactory. We were met with a rudely demanding approach from the staff at the counter, who insisted we wait outside or in our car to keep the lobby clear. This directive felt particularly targeting, especially when we observed that others were allowed to stay inside despite the rain. The difference in treatment was stark and left us feeling singled out. Our waitress did her job efficiently, though it was clear that engaging in friendly conversation was not her priority. The food arrived quickly, and the Eggs Benedict I had was quite good. However, the overall visit was overshadowed by the initial negative interaction, leading me to believe that it wouldn't be worth returning.
