"The Banty Rooster is a rare example of a West Village place that exceeded our expectations. At first glance, this casual American spot feels like countless other places in the area serving potato fritters and short rib. But then you’ll notice that the fritters are served with salt cod aioli and the short rib crumbles when you dip it in the side of ancho barbecue sauce. Between the food, big space, and affordable wine offerings, this place should be at the top of your list for your next group dinner in the West Village." - Matt Tervooren

We stopped in for brunch. It reminded me of a small-scale Cracker Barrel, and I can say with confidence it is so much more!! Forgive my pictures, I had already started drinking my Apple Cider Float and cutting up my waffles before taking pictures so the presentation is not there and they don't do justice to how amazing everything tasted. The staff were so kind and helpful with bringing a booster for my almost 2 year old. His hot dog was cut into a cute octopus shape! My husband had the Yosimities Burger which looked good, but we both agree was not as good as mine!! It's two days later and I'm still thinking about it. It is the Whiskey Waffles, which is "SLICED BANANAS SLICED AND FLAMBEED IN A WHISKEY PAN CARAMEL SAUCE, POURED OVER BELGIAN SUGAR PEARL WAFFLES AND TOPPED WITH CRUMBLED BACON”. Every bite was full of flavor and it worked so well. After we ate we walked around the store side. The meat in the cooler looked really good, and I will definitely have to come back to get something at the soda shop next time! We got a bunch of candy and headed out. We will definitely be back!!!

Nice spot for some groceries and seasonal goods like pumpkins. Really fun menu with great brunch options. I got the quiche which was pretty heavy and a large portion size but we also ordered the croque madame which was DELICIOUS and a good size. Our server was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was a bit too heavy for me personally but some people might like that. The ambience in the dining area is a bit sparse with no music and a less cozy feeling but the indoor shopping area is quite cute and friendly. Would love to go back for the corn maze and other events they have!

Lame. Used to be the nicest hayride in the area, this year it's a walk through a patch in the cornfield. It's just a patch of grass with a bunch of precut pumpkins strewn about. Was charged $24, more than last year's hayride which was a relaxing and enjoyable hour we looked forward to. As soon as my wife realized there was no ride she asked me, "can we get a refund"? Was looking to take my son and his friend to enjoy the mine (rock wash) again this year. Was told it would be another $64 to enter the "park", plus another $10 per bag to participate. There's literally nothing else inside except the goat. No, I don't want to pay nearly $100 to pet your goat. Walked out immediately. Sad. Not like Ard's used to be. Northill Orchard has a beautiful farm nearby, go there if you're looking for a nice hayride with family.

We used Ard's Farm as our wedding catering in September 2021 and they were amazing! We attended multiple complimentary tastings and pretty much everything we tried was tasty. We decided to do a buffet style dinner at our wedding due to the way our venue was set up, and it worked perfectly. The staff from Ard's were always helpful and communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. The food was delicious and everyone is still raving about how good the dinner was! Would definitely recommend for wedding catering :)

We had not been to the Banty Rooster since it reopened. Our food was really good. Everything else was a bit off. We tried to make a reservation for 10 for brunch, but we're told they only take dinner reservations. Part of our party arrived early to get on the wait list. We were asked why we did not make a reservation. It was almost 90 minutes to be seated and most of an hour until we were served. It seemed a bit under staffed. The employee at the cash register was rude to a member of our group trying to purchase candy. Everyone working there seemed stressed. Food was very good though.

Awesome rotation of daily and seasonal specials. Plenty of brunch options. List of favorite items: bennys, special omelettes, salads, burgers, sausage gravy biscuits. Service is always fast, friendly, and consistent. Market and facilities are clean. Nice people.

Ard’s Farm did a great job catering and bartending my wedding. Everything came as expected, they were attentive, and even assisted in making sure the small details and decor I supplied for plating and dessert were assembled beautifully.
