"Quickly growing fast-casual Chinese restaurant Bao’d Up opened its third location in Sunset Valley at the end of September. It’s found on 5207 Brodie Lane, Suite 115. On deck are all sorts of filled bao, like meat (barbecue pork), vegetables (curry with mushrooms, eggplant, potatoes, and onions), and sweets (red bean); gua bao (essentially small sandwiches); and non-bao rice, noodles, and soup bowls." - Nadia Chaudhury

Jobie with Offline - We recently visited Bao’d Up’s Mueller branch, taking advantage of our $10 credit through the Offline membership, and it was an enjoyable experience overall! I ordered the Spicy Dan Dan Noodles with Hot Pot Brisket and a Taco Bun on the side. The noodles were perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of heat, and the tender brisket was a fantastic addition. My husband went for the Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork Belly, paired with his own Taco Bun. The ramen was rich, comforting, and full of flavor—definitely a standout dish. We also tried the Steamed Pork Soup Dumplings, which were just okay but not the best we’ve had. While they were flavorful, they lacked the standout texture and juiciness we were hoping for. For drinks, We had the Taro Latte with Boba and Coco Jelly, which was a delightful mix of creamy, sweet, and chewy textures. It paired wonderfully with the meal and was the perfect way to round things off. The food, the friendly staff, and the cozy atmosphere made this visit worth it. While the dumplings could be improved, Bao’d Up Mueller is still a great spot for flavorful Asian comfort food!

This was my first time ever having Baos before. I loved them! Everything was so packed with flavor. The buns were fluffy and came out piping hot. I absolutely loved it!

Google
Ordered online and the mochi had clearly been sitting out for a while. The sauce container with the dumplings wasn't even halfway full, and when I ordered the crispy chicken with no coleslaw, they put no toppings at all, no sauce, just chicken and bun. The food tasted really good but it was not a good experience to take out food.

Google
Honestly there’s barely any meat inside the bun, this is a picture of the 6th bun I’ve ate. I’m starving so I gotta eat it but it tastes like it’s drenched in soy sauce, and there’s barely any meat. You’re basically paying for a mouth full of dough. The dough isn’t even flavored either, tastes like water. If you love the taste of flour, this is your place!

I was incredibly happy with the experience here! The staff ladies were all very kind, and the food was fast and absolutely delicious (Not to mention cheap)! I got to try most of the bao items on the menu, and they were all fantastic!! My favorites were the brisket and veggie, and the pork and teriyaki were also very good (and don’t skip on the egg creme desert bao!). I had a passion fruit milk tea with it, which complimented the savory food well. Also, their spicy mayo was killer—much better than other ones I’ve had! Thank you so much for the excellent meal! I will definitely be coming here again!

Google
Food was ok but very low quality. Dan dan noodles were not spicy. I wouldn't avoid meeting up with friends here, but I would never suggest it. You place your order on a screen and bus your own table. Yet the screen prompt for a tip made me think I would actually get some level of service. There was none.

Google
I really want to like this place. I love Asian food and specifically love Asian buns but this just was not it. We had a really hard time ordering not really understanding how it worked. We did not know what sauces were what or what flavors were what. It was a very interesting experience. Additionally, while it was somewhat tasty the food itself was not incredible. It is essentially “fast food” so I knew that going in I just was hoping for more. I would say offer more descriptions on your menu. The music was so loud in the restaurant we couldn’t hear the employees at all whatsoever. Offer descriptions of sauces and flavors and how the process works and it may be a better experience for all involved.

Unless it’s hot, sweet or salty, there’s just not much in the way of seasoning to the food. Even the chicken steamed dumplings were bland without any sauce. The Szechuan fries had a seafood flavor and oh so salty! It’s tastes like the Taco Bell of Chinese food. The best thing was the strawberry lemon tea!! Way too expensive for what it was.

Yelp
We just tried Bao'd Up on a whim and it was great! We ordered to-go to get something on our way home and my wife had a build your own combo with a Spicy Brisket (the best one we tried), chicken teriyaki, and egg rolls and I had the pork combo. The szechuan fries were really good, especially dipped in the spicy mayo! The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and happy to hand our order over and the place seemed decently busy with smiles all around on other customers. The portions were perfect and the sauces were also very good. We will be back!

Yelp
I stopped in for a drink the other day and was really disappointed to see they don't have any allergen/ingredient information their menu online or in-store menu. Was hoping to try the food, but ultimately ended up just ordering a matcha latte with almond milk, less sugar, no ice, and add coconut jelly. The coconut jelly was good, but the matcha wasn't well blended so the drink was a bit gritty. I make matcha at home, so I ended up adding a bit more milk and smoothing the consistency when I got home. Once that was done, it was really delicious! I'd definitely try this place again, but I do wish they had other milks available such as coconut and soy - the coconut milk would have made this perfect with the coconut jelly! Perks are that you can do regular milk or almond milk at no up-charge, but I usually avoid almond milk because of how detrimental almond farming can be (not super sustainable with how much water it requires!), but I can't drink regular milk so almond it was. The jellies and boba are more expensive, but quite reasonable in price. Ordering is through a tablet at the front, and the employees call out your name once the order is ready. There is plenty of free parking as this restaurant is located in a shopping center, and there was also a good amount of space inside and outside for seating. Ambiance didn't feel too welcoming in my opinion--I usually prefer ordering with people rather than on a device as it's just a bit more personable. Additionally, the tables didn't seem cozy and I think the decor was a bit too modern/eclectic for my personal taste, but it is spacious so if you want to stick around to eat/drink, you absolutely could. Employees were friendly but seemed a bit rushed (they were really working hard!) , and it wasn't too crowded inside so I imagine they had a lot of online orders coming in! All in all, I do like this place for a grab and go drink and just think it could be a bit improved with some minor changes...and if they added gluten free bao to the menu, I would be even more delighted!

Michaela J.

Yelp
The restaurant is nice and aesthetic. Plenty of parking in the lot. It's on a strip with several other restaurants and stores. So nice place to go after a day of shopping! I appreciated they have lots of different combo options if you want to try multiple things. They also have a family pack which looked great. Service was pretty quick, I was able to go inside to order. They have an online option and I'm-store they have tablets for ordering. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be finished. I got the veggie combo that comes with Spicy Tofu guabao, Kung Pao Veggie bao, served with a side of Szechuan Fries. I also ordered the shrimp fried rice. Unfortunately the food was a bit underwhelming to me. Everything seemed to be lacking flavor. I got the bao'd up sauce which does help to add a bit of flavor to the food. I was also surprised that even the Szechuan fries didn't have much flavor or spice to them. The rice was kind of mushy and didn't have much flavor either. There were a few other menu items that seemed good, so I may give that a try. They also offer boba and teas, so that may be a good addition to a meal.

Lauren H.

Yelp
Randomly remembered this was by me. Decided to try, got crispy chicken bao taco, sweet cream bao and fries. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. Crispy chicken was good, sweet cream was great but needed more filling and my fries came a lil stale but still I'd go back

Yelp
1/3/24 I forgot to post this the other day but still wanted to update my review. It's been awhile since I've been here but I told my friend about it so we met here for lunch. The interior is still the same. It's clean and bright. They even had a cute Xmas tree in the entry way. The biggest difference was the menu and the ordering process. The menu on the board is different than last time. You can reference the past pics if you are really interested. You order from a little kiosk which was easy to do. Don't get tricked, like I was, when you see the limited menu on the board. There are many other options once you start ordering. I got two buns and a side. I got the fries. I should have gotten the salad as a side. I'm trying to make better food choices in '24. That being said, I only ate a few of them! I was good. I got the fried tofu bun (chicken is also an option) and bbq bun. You order from the kiosk but they bring it to your table. That's nice! My friend ordered a lo mein dish. She devoured it! I still like the place and will be back more often! :)

Darren S.

Yelp
There were a few glitches with my family's order, but the food was delicious! The Pork Belly tacos are amazing - the hoisin sauce evokes my beloved Mu Shu Pork, and the veggies and the fluffy bao wrap complemented the flavors and the texture of the pork belly. The Chicken Fried Rice was the best my son had eaten in a long time. The Spicy Tofu was perfectly flavored and seasoned. Definitely going back to try some other selections which sounded tasty!

Pam P.

Yelp
So excited to see the return of lo mein. Very disappointed. Left more than half my food on the plate. Tastes nothing like it did before. Overwhelming smell of chili powder, like what you put in beef chili. Chicken tenders way over cooked. This is supposed to be Chinese comfort food. Not even close. Such a different taste than what they served before. What a disappointment.

Valerie T.

Yelp
You order on a screen and they bring it out to you. It was pretty quick turnaround. The soup dumplings were decent. Not the best but if you want soup dumplings and are in south Austin, this is probably the best option. The Dan Dan noodles were tasty but you can tell it was a healthier version of the dish. The chicken bao was really good!

Sophia G.

Yelp
I really love baos. They're one of my favorite things to eat. A good tofu bao always puts me in a good mood. But one of my favorite bao places closed and I've been lost since. Until I stumbled upon Bao'd Up. And I am obsessed. I ordered the two baos and one side meal. Along with a strawberry milk tea. Can I just say the fact you can customize the milk tea to have nondairy milk without being charged extra is SUCH a nice touch. I really love it and it is so good. I was a little nervous about coming here because online there isn't a tofu bao but luckily when you go inside to order there is. The food here is really good. I can't complain at all. It's a nice little shop with a lot of parking and great photo ops. I'm definitely going to become a repeat customer here.

Marion W.

Yelp
I went in to order food to go and I got my food super quick. Ambiance was ok, it was pretty empty at 6:30 on a Monday. Staff was nice and it took 5 minutes to order and get my food: the chicken combo. It was good, I wish it came with a little more sauce. It's not spectacular though. But I bet it would be better if you eat there, crispier fries and all. Overall, for the price $14 with tips for the combo, it was good and filling. They also have all kinds of bubble teas if you're into that Pro-tip: go get a cookie next door at crumbl

Ellie N.

Yelp
I ordered 3 baos: The dough for all three are the same, just different in color. I like the dough. Very fluffy. Veggies bao: a bit salty. It's not that great. I think you can skip this one. Spicy bao: not too spicy. Custard bao: good one if you want some sweet savory snack

Andy M.

Yelp
Honestly, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in Austin. The ambiance could be titled "party city lunar new year"; no music, terribly cold, and zero interaction with staff. The wait for the food was absurd - my family and I waited OVER AN HOUR just to get a few dumplings. And the food (once we got it)? It was the bao/dumpling equivalent of taco bell. A waste of time and money. Never again.

Sarah C.

Yelp
The food is really good and the boba is delicious but the wait time at this location is painful. The last time I ordered from here it was for pickup. I arrived on time and still had to wait 35 minutes to finally receive my order. When I got home I found they gave me someone else's order. I decided to give them another chance and ordered in store today. I had to wait an hour for my order while people who ordered after me received theirs. After asking a twice about my order status it became evident they kept losing track of it and kept fulling new orders coming in. It's a shame because I really like Bao'd Up but it's not worth the wait.

Dash S.

Yelp
Menu has changed. The old one was so much better - quality and variety wise. Got the vegan noodle bowl with the potato sauce, it was okay. Not spicy at all, took forever to cool down and then by the time it did the tofu broke apart and mixed in with the sauce. I felt like I was eating a Chinese porridge with noodles. The bao we got was good, but also not as good as they once were. The sauce was literally in a plastic bag and very bland. Sad day. Feels like they do not care anymore hint on giving us a defrosted sauce straight out a plastic bag.

Crystal N.

Yelp
Baod up was pretty good, not great. The food itself was really good! I loved the baos and it had really good flavor. I also got a matcha strawberry boba and didn't really like it and it was expensive. It was also confusing where to order because there was a kiosk/self touch pad but that was only for drinks and not food. Ordering experience was not very intuitive

Bhagyashree B.

Yelp
The best place to get baos! There are so many tasty options including two veggie baos, one with mixed veggies and guabao with crispy tofu. Chicken bao combo with crispy chicken is delicious too. The sweet egg cream bao is a delight! The schezwan fries are great to have on the side. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with the theme and makes dining here a pleasant experience.

Cheyenne J.

Yelp
I haven't been this disappointed in a meal in years. I've had boa's up before and from this location, but it's been quite a while. I ordered tonight because of the buy one get one promotion on Uber eats. I've never wanted to return an order so bad. From the first bite of the juicy pork I was turned off. The sauce covering the bun was nearly inedible. I can't describe bland and distasteful any better. I had to tear the bun open. The sausage wasn't juicy but over cooked. I moved over to the custard buns which I remember liking quite a bit. Until, I had these. The texture was like scrambled eggs not custard cream. I did also order the soup dumplings. They weren't terrible tasting there just wasn't any soup in them so i drowned them in the soy sauce mixture. I'm generally not prompted to write a bad review because they effect businesses. But I'm this case I think change is needed.

Dani B.

Yelp
I wanted to try a new boba place and was told about this one. I had the intention to get JUST boba but saw the menu and decided today was the day to try something new. I got the Veggie Combo which came with one veggie bao, fried tofu guabao with a side of fries with spicy mayo. I want to be very honest I had a feeling I would dislike the bao and I was surprised because I actually LOVED it. I am not a vegetarian but I am in fact a very picky meat eater so I tend to get more veggie meals. I am also a picky veggie eater as well and was pleasantly happy that there were no mushrooms in due to noticing that mushrooms are in a lot of items. My daughter got a boba and she was able to order on the little kiosk on the side which is separate from the food line, or you can just order after placing your food order. I will say that we will stop by again the next time we are in Sunset Valley.

Ayub Y.

Yelp
On a sunny afternoon, I walked in asking for their most popular menu item; bao. I didn't expect their portion to be big but it was more thn enough for 1 person to try 3 of them.

Kristina M.

Yelp
Some of the best Asian fusion I've had while in Austin. My partner and I shared the 4 Bao plate and the Spicy Dan Dan noodles. For the bao, we had the Teriyaki Chicken, Original pork, pork belly, and spicy brisket. The pork belly was the best out of the 4, but all were tasty. As for the Spicy Dan Dan, the sauce is very similar to hot pot broth - we got regular spicy and that was flavorful but not overpowering with heat. I liked that the noodles came with spinach and added fried tofu and a marinated egg to the dish. The fried tofu was alright - it was fried almost like fried chicken and was a bit dry alone, but decent with sauce. The egg was a little bit of a disappointment. At first, it was forgotten with our dish and we didn't notice till we had wolfed down all the noodles, but they still gave it to us after we asked. However, it was cold and all the way hard boiled, unlike a ramen egg, which is soft boiled. Overall, pretty great place! The ambience is also hip and inviting - some of the booths and chairs even had pillows.

Danielle D.

Yelp
I LOVE Bao'd up! This place is great fast casual - the Baos are soft and filled to the brim. They seem to have added toppings lately and I'm not complaining - the toppings take the experience to the next level (but def make it a more sloppy eating experience). Priced fairly - I walk away stuffed for $10 (bao are 3.99 each)

James F.

Yelp
Ate here right after this location opened; guess I forgot to review it. Flash forward a few years to the start of covid. Most restaurants were doing take out. I decided to order some Bao from another nearby place. It was the GF's first time trying that type of food. Few weekends ago I was to bring lunch to her at work. She actually asked for Bao!! Seems my taste are rubbing off on her. Since we've been together she will eat cooked oysters, escargot, jalapenos (pickled), and a few other food items she never knew she liked. Sitting on the ranch I grabbed my cell phone and ordered from Bao'd Up. Ordering online was simple; have to complain that the grilled fish bao is absent form the current menu. Was my personal fave along with the pork belly on my previous visit. This trip I ordered two pork belly, two BBQ, soup dumplings, and noodles. Noodles were kinda boring; vegetables weren't plentiful. All Bao offerings were delicious; soup dumplings went the other direction with lack of actual soup inside. A mix of excellent and meh. But, my order was hot and fresh when I arrived! 4 stars

Hazel R.

Yelp
We've been coming here for a couple years now, the business has honestly gone down hill since opening. Would not recommend at all they have long wait times, staff is not friendly or interactive at all, looks like they get bothered when customers come up to ask questions. Place isn't kept clean tables are always dirty they have a huge gnat problem which takes away from your appetite when they're in your face. Also not to mention the trash is always overflowing. The food is not the best quality either I would give it a 3/10, half of our food comes out cold by time they bring it to our table.

Jeremy R.

Yelp
My wife was craving pork buns, I happen to be in So Austin so yelp suggested this place. Wow!!! Friendly, helpful cashier, clean restaurant, cooked food quickly, stayed warm for the long drive home, and everything was great! The plain pork bao was our favorite but the spicy brisket and crispy chicken was also really good. Fries were nicely seasoned, and the slaw was just right. A little pricey but worth it, thanks!!!

Katie B.

Yelp
Needed a pick-me-up so ordered a coffee boba drink and Szechuan fries to be delivered. Upon arrival the fries were still hot and crispy (but missing the aioli) and the boba drink was just right (got it with no ice so it didn't dilute the coffee flavor en route to my casa). I love the kick that the fries have...there's no heat/numbing, instead they're flavorful with a just hint of Szechuan spice. While an expensive snack to get delivered ($20ish with the fees and tip), I prob will do it monthly, as I really enjoyed this Friday treat!

Rachella S.

Yelp
Pretty good for "fast food" bao!! We especially like the brisket baos. Will come again, definitely.

Michelle L.

Yelp
I don't remember which baos I ordered but it doesn't matter. They weren't worth the money. I picked them up on time and they were already soggy and falling apart. Flavors were ok but not memorable. Very overpriced for what you get. If you want fresh baos, I'd recommend getting a 4 pack in the prepared foods section of 99 Ranch instead.

Abby S.

Yelp
This was our first time to try this restaurant. Edgar was amazing!! He helped us choose! Food was great. We had fun. Highly recommend for a quick lunch.

N G.

Yelp
It was okay. Drove 30 minutes to get there and was disappointed by it. Everything was just okay. It's nothing special. The baos weren't fluffy. The pork bao tasted like a Jimmy dean breakfast sandwich that was warmed up in the microwave. There was like a sprinkle of pork in it-- it was mainly just the bao bread itself which tasted like nothing. The kimchi fries were okay. Again, nothing special. Ambiance was trendy. Place was nice inside. Clean seats and tables. Service was quick with baos but took forever to get my noodles. Also ordered boba which -- do I have to say it again-- was okay. I don't recommend this place for actual good baos. Only thing I ordered and thought was genuinely good was the chicken bao. Even then though, it wasn't worth going.

Maya H.

Yelp
I love the food and the decor inside of the place and the Boba is soo delicious! The chai tea with soy and almond milk with strawberry burst pearls are SSOOO GGOOODDD

Georgina G.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely place to grab a quick bite. Stopped in for a boba tea but ended up getting food to go because it looked too delicious not to try it out! I am extremely glad with my last minute decision because the food was absolutely delicious and the staff was extremely courteous since I waited a little longer than usual for my boba! Over all I'm super happy I stopped by and will definitely be returning.

Tommy S.

Yelp
I came after lunch peak hours. The girl helping was very friendly and prompt. The service was great. The food not so much.

James H.

Yelp
Friendly staff that hustle because like most places need more employees with tables needing clearing off. A nice hearty bowl of Super Spicy Dan Dan Noodle. Maybe a little more heat for a dish that has Super Spicy in its name.

Mel F.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food this was my first time having bao so I didn't know what to expect. I'm always down to try different types of food and it didn't disappoint. I believe the bun had chicken inside I'm not sure what it was but it was good I enjoyed it. The chicken with the gaubao (not sure thats what the breading around the chicken is exactly called) was really good too. The service was fast but it was slow slow. The worker did small talk about the menu before I ordered which was nice.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Was excited to get to try the Bao buns. The pork buns were tasty but the broth served alongside was so over salted it tasted like brine. I skipped the briney broth and ate the remaining buns without it. I also ordered the shrimp lomein which was bland. My overall impression is meh. Interesting Asian cuisine prepared in an uninspired way in a chain restaurant. Genuinely ho-hum.

Lillian S.

Yelp
I am never disappointed with Bao'd Up! Their fried chicken is so crispy, it's the best; the baos are great; their steam vegetables are just that--steamed, nothing added. I always order the steam veggies; I mix them in with my lo lein or rice or whatever else I order. Request the sweet chili sauce, it kicks the favors up a notch. The staff is very nice; that's always a plus!

Eric G.

Yelp
We ordered this for takeout and that process went very smoothly. I really liked their baos, any of them probably but the brisket ones are especially good! The Dan Dan noodles were also very good, and had a lot of flavor to them (moreso than I've had at some other places). I'd go back for the bao and these noodles. The rice bowl wasn't my favorite, maybe I'd get their normal one but not the "ultimate" version in the future. We also got boba from here since there aren't any others in the area. I got taro... And, probably wouldn't come here for the boba. If you're looking for bao and some sides though, you can't go wrong!

Amy S.

Yelp
Amazing customer service and omg the boba is to die for. We had the passion fruit green tea with less sugar. So so good.

Lyla A.

Yelp
Fast food bao! Who would have thought it?! We ordered a family pack. 4 pork and 4 brisket with a side of Sichuan fries and cole slaw. The juicy pork was my favorite though they were both good. The fries were perfect. Hot and crispy! They brought the food out to our car in 5 seconds! I wish we had one closer to us and I'd go often!

Amanda S.

Yelp
So far every time we eat here my family over orders, but it's not a bad thing. Who doesn't want left over bao sitting around?! First off this is one of two spots in south Austin you can get boba so yay for that. They are now offering family packs, which I think is new due to Covid. I don't recall that being an option per covid but I could be wrong. The 8- Bao Family Pack is a great deal and can feed 4 people. My favorite is the brisket and pork bao. I also tried the turkey and potato recently and it was delicious. The pumpkin one was a little bland and needed something more I thought, my kid loved it though. The boba menu has lots of options! It's super easy to order here online. When you pick up your order is is contact free too! So easy!

Carolyn C.

Yelp
honest opinion here, I have never tried Bao until I came across this lovely place. I order the chicken combo and I really enjoyed it! My meal came with one teriyaki bao which was so good fluffy and soft and tasty and one crispy chicken Guabao ( which reminds me of like a taco) lol also so delicious! Their fries are nicely season and the spicy Mayo they give you ok now I'm craving just as I'm telling you guys about it! Place is cute and clean there is outside seating as well, one thing though they don't take cash so just be prepared in case you were planning to pay with cash. I'll definitely be back for more! Check them out definitely a good place for a quick bite.

Rosario F.

Yelp
OMG I'm in love with this place!! The first time I ate their food it was delivered through Yelp. AMAZING! It really fills you up! The second time I stopped by the restaurant. The third, fourth , fifth, sixth...I eat here a lot ok hahaha!! RESTAURANT They have 2 kiosks where you place your order & pay. Completely self service which is fun! (Don't worry, they have pictures of everything) It's super easy! You can choose to dine in and seat yourself or you can order to go. They have tables of 4. Booths with tables and chairs for larger parties, and I can't remember if they have outdoor seating or if that's for Tarka. PARKING It's all free and widely available. FOOD I have ordered a wide variety so I could see what I like. I think my first order consisted of 1 of everything. I honestly get full after eating just 2. Imagine me with 6-8 options haha. Leftovers held up nicely. The buns are so soft and tasty! The fillings are incredibly rich in flavor. My new favorite restaurant for sure! I'm always craving the Crispy Chicken Bao! Please stop by and bring an appetite. You'll be glad you did. I am a customer for life!

Hannah K.

Yelp
I came in hoping for a quick snack and got so much more. Ordering ahead through the app is a breeze, and my order was ready about 5 minutes after placing it. Talk about fast food! Luckily, I was already on the road and quickly closing in on my prize. There's plenty of parking out front and they even have curbside delivery if you're still skiddish about going in. Of course, you would then miss out on the entertainment portion of the program. I had no idea that they had such a fun system in place for no contact pickup! You put the last four digits of your order number into a keypad which props one of the cubicles in a wall of doors to open. Tadah! It's a little moment of modern magic. Since we can't safely go out to the movies, I'll take what I can get. Beyond the bells and whistles, these bao are legit. Still warm, super fluffy, they practically melt in your mouth. They look like giant bricks but go down easy like cotton candy. Plus, there are vegan options, of course! I LOVE the umami veggie bao which is stuffed with cabbage, tofu, mushrooms, and more, and comes with a spicy dipping sauce on the side. The red bean bun is a satisfying sweet treat, with a creamy adzuki bean filling that has a delightful nutty taste. Brownie points for using mayo that's eggless! Yes! Vegans can enjoy the cooling, crunchy slaw, too! Do not sleep on this place, or any of the other locations for that matter. If you download the app (use my code 2271 pretty please?) you automatically get 500 points, which could translate into two free bao and slaw, or Sichuan fries and a bao, or a fancy bubble tea, or... You get the idea. Bow down to Bao'd Up!

Yelp
A focused selection of Chinese staples, approachable for the masses and with noticeable traditional authenticity... with some exceptions, for better or worse. What an unexpected place this is, one that has all the traits of an inviting modern fast casual environment -- the mainstay of its namesake, traditional 'baos', but also a succinct selection of noodle entrees (including the Taiwanese bellwether, "Beef Noodle Soup").  Most of which has notes of surprisingly authenticity that have had me returning for more. Some creative spins to add some terrific personality and familiarity to the menu that resonate well -- like the crinkle cut Szechuan seasoned fries, and the combo meals (a sort of deconstructed pan-seared 'gua bao' sandwich kit).  Really terrific. Misses are the boba drinks, which are extremely high in novelty factor, super sugary, and focused on aesthetic -- but otherwise regrettably executed, probably great for kids, wouldn't even know where to begin with feedback otherwise. Finally, a tip for carry out and delivery during the pandemic.  A convenient option, but would recommend most every food item except for the noodle dishes with a dry base, that will inevitably be one giant inseperable clump molded into the shape of the container it comes in -- and leaves a lot to be desired in terms of experience. Enjoy those on premise that has nice outdoor seating.

Yelp
The meal I ordered via my job was very tasty but clearly the wrong dish as by the time I got it, it was super soggy. So sad because the flavors were delicious. I posted a photo of what I ordered. It was like three small breaded balls with meat inside. I warmed it up in the microwave but it made it more soggy, unfortunately.

Yelp
This place is 10/10 recommend! First try any boa and it will not disappoint!! This place was so good, we tried a variety of things from the menu and it was so good, my picky eaters even loved it! The vibe is cute and comfy and overall I was in love from the first bite! They also have boba but I was not a huge fan of the boba I have had better and wouldn't recommend getting boba but 1000% try anything off their menu!

Yelp
Delicious boba There were only a few people ahead of me but it seemed like the service with quite slow. Probably short staffed like most places these days. But it was yummy and was a really cute spot. I hope to actually eat here soon.

Yelp
This was my second attempt to relive memories of when I lived in Singapore and this time - success! But to give full credit where it's truly due - after my first underwhelming visit Yelp review (University location), the team took the time to send a thoughtful response with suggestions to guide my next visit for a better experience. They win! I loved the egg cream bao and the tofu guabao plate was really good! While waiting for my order, I noticed the iced tea sitting next to someone else's order and I couldn't resist ordering a lychee flavored one for myself.
