Bar Aliatar Los Caracoles

Highly highly recommend! We came here to try the famous caracoles which come as a free tapa with a drink. I also had the best tomato salad on the planet Tomates Asados which was simply delicious, very simple but so flavourful! We also tried the aubergine with honey, the pil pil prawns and the octopus! Everything was amazing! We went once for dinner (we booked on the way up to Michael’s viewpoint for sunset, then returned here) and we also came the very next day for lunch because I wanted to have that tomato salad at least another time before I die! Sounds dramatic but I still think about it lol. It got busy for lunch too, so I definitely recommend popping in to book before. Oh and I didn’t mention the staff, so nice and friendly, working hard with so many tables inside and outside. We were outside both times, as the atmosphere was great in the little buzzy square near the little fountain. Don’t skip this if you’re in Granada!

Local tavern, famed for it's namesake, Los Caracolles. And yes we did eat the snail and loved it. Also had the grilled octopus which was delicious. Would come back again.

Lovely restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, a treat. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We stayed in Granada only one night and visited twice it was that good. The callos, snails and habas con jamón were amazing. Would highly recommend!

Hi after being here yesterday my friend and I got a very heavy case of food poisoning l. We presume from the snails as we ate nothing else that looked sketchy and I seasoned reviews about their portions recently. The service is nice but be careful as it put us to bed for a day…

Came for the Caracoles with wine; was not disappointed. We also had a pork plate with fries and the fries were amazing !

Really poor service even by laid back Spanish standards. Felt like we were shunned since we were tourists and didn’t speak Spanish well. Food wasn’t nearly good enough to make up for it, the namesake snail dish was mediocre at best. You can do much better in a fantastic food city like Granada.

RISK OF FOOD POISONING Me and my friend got very sick after eating their snails here. They look funky and taste even funkier. It was the only dish we both had, so it has to have been here. Be careful! Edit: wow, great customer service as you can see below... Puked my brains out for a full day, ruining my trip to Granada and this is how they own up to it. Flat out disrespectful behaviour. Changing my initial three stars for service to 1.

I enjoyed this restaurant in a quiet square. Busy even on a Wednesday night but they found me a table outside. Pork with a lovely garlic butter with chips. Wine good too. Staff busy but very friendly. I enjoyed the complimentary snails too!!! Very well priced.
