Bar Angeles

Loved this place Enjoyed the Music and All.. I was hoping to catch their food.. but enjoyed the drinks a bit late.. The Little drink I had was a strong one!! Specially made by the nicest bartender. @ILLUMINA_Goddess

So happy this place opened up in the neighborhood recently. From a design perspective it is understated yet unique. I appreciated how they cut a portion of the Elliot Smith mural from the exterior and pasted it on an interior wall to maintain the continuity from the right angle. The staff and food were all fantastic as well but my favorite was the cocktails. Each one we tried was complex, delicious, and made you want more. Will definitely be back.

This bar is one of newest cool editions in Silver Lake, the happiest neighborhood on the planet. Bar is very clean and neat. Smells nice as fresh wood, cool music and atmosphere. Five stars to bartender for being so kind and well spoken.

What kind of bar rips out music history from a city like this? This bar completely disrespects Elliott Smith and his legacy. The bar also plays this up by advertising as "Bar Angeles" stealing from his lyrics to honor him. If this bar truly wanted to honor Elliott smith, they should have have done so by leaving his wall and mural intact. Smh.

I came in here last night and Wow! What a pleasant surprise! I took my friend Danea to go to El Cid but my god has that place gone downhill.. Turned into a social justice gathering lounge with an anti-man vibe, not pleasant whatsoever. Having left 'El Cid' I walked up the street and sure enough the door to 'Bar Angeles' was open and we walked in. Not only is 'Bar Angeles' beautiful inside, it offers a simple and easing setting with wonderful beers, unique Rhóne varietals and most importantly a very, very impressive food menu. The food at 'Bar Angeles' under-promises and over delivers! All I can say is I've had tons of brussel sprouts in my life and theirs with the burratta!! My god. The pizzas are Legit 👌- the clam pizza with a "less is more" approach on the white sauce while having some of the best garlic crust on pizza I've had in a while made my night, it couldn't have been without the suggestions of Penny though! Penny is the bartender there that was so helpful with literally taking a part of our experience and the best part was that it was an experience, I really have to let you know: - if you enjoy anything with mezcal than let Penny take it away! Her drinks were flawless... Whether you're in the area, live in the area or are looking for a new spot to enjoy a calm night with your friends, 'Bar Angeles' is most certainly on my radar and I'll be no doubt be making sure to stop through when back in town!

Cool place. Very friendly staff, great selection of drinks! Great place to just hang out and drink.

For a short time they were doing really good brunches. Not anymore though. Pity, I really liked it.
