"Bar Bacetti is the new sidekick to Bacetti Trattoria in Echo Park, and it takes over the former Tilda wine bar space next door to the restaurant. The rebrand comes with a new menu of Italian snacks, pizzas from Bacetti, and lots of spritz options. "Bar Bacetti is a cute little spot in Echo Park with a terrazzo counter that’s nice for an aperitivo date or meeting up with a coworker you like seeing outside the office. Attached to Bacetti Trattoria, this sidekick bar shares a sidewalk patio and pizza menu, which means you can show up to the daily aperitivo hour (3-5pm) for spritzes and complimentary olives, then split a sausage and kale pie punched up with calabrian chiles. The small-ish pizzas are the most filling dishes on Bar Bacetti’s menu, so if you’re looking for a more substantial meal, use this spot for pre-dinner vermouth and soda before heading elsewhere. Food Rundown Peperoni Even if you’re not into tuna, capers, and/or anchovies, there’s a good chance you’ll like them in this snacky antipasto. All the briny things are packed tightly into sweet red peppers, which mostly mask the fishy flavors. Some of the beans are kept whole, so there’s a variety of textures, and the tomato sugo adds a subtle sweetness. They do, however, make a great shareable bar snack. The puffy crust is (very) hot and crispy after lightly frying in an oiled pan. This sausage and kale pizza is kale-heavy, which is good if you like smoky char on your greens. "Opened June 26 when Bacetti Trattoria owner Jason Goldman repurposed the shuttered adjacent Tilda into a bar attached to his Echo Park restaurant. The menu is designed for ease—spritzes, Italian wines by the glass, and zero-proof cocktails—paired with pizza, charcuterie-inspired spreads, and chilled octopus. The Tilda interior was transformed with rich greens and a stone bar that resembles a slab of mortadella dotted with hues of pink and pistachio, while existing natural wood frames were retained to add an intimate vibe to the airy interior." - Mona Holmes
"A new aperitivo-focused bar from the owner of a Roman-inspired trattoria opens on June 26, offering spritz-forward cocktails, Italian wines by the glass, zero-proof drinks, and a lineup of small Italian snacks and pizzas. Signature drinks include a Two-Kiss Spritz that swaps cappelletti for Aperol, the Sofia with fizzy chinotto, lambrusco and port, a Quasi-White Negroni, and a shakerato with espresso and orgeat. The spuntini menu highlights olives tossed with anise, orange peel and bay leaf; peppers stuffed with tuna, capers and anchovy; thin focaccia di Recco with stracchino; cannellini beans in a rich tomato sauce; gnocco fritto topped with cured meat; chilled octopus; and beef and pork meatballs. Pizzas—moving over from the owner’s trattoria—sit between Roman and Neapolitan styles, including puffy-crusted funghi, margherita, and meat-topped pies. The interior has been refreshed in rich greens with a stone bar resembling a slab of mortadella accented by pink and pistachio tones, retains cozy natural wood frames, features a gleaming vintage espresso machine, and offers a dog-friendly patio.
