"This French-style bar sits on the sixth floor of the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. From chef partners Aidan O'Neal and Jack Leiber, the minds behind Le Crocodile (also located on the premises) and the excellent Greenpoint eatery Chez Ma Tante, Bar Blondeau is so-called for its choice of panelling. Light wood is abundant, it clads not just the floors but also crawls up the walls, the chairs are blond, and so on. When the sun sets, the light sets the palette ablaze in golden-amber halcyon bliss. You can get beer here, of course, or select a fine wine from their extensive list, but you'd really do best to sip a signature cocktail in these surroundings. If whiskey's your thing, go for the Jack Rose (rye and apple brandy, anyone?), while from the food menu the Burger au Poivre (fries included) is not to be missed." - CNT Editors

"Set six floors atop a boutique hotel with unobstructed Manhattan skyline views, this spot is known for top-tier martinis and classic bar comfort like French fries. Practical perks include weekday sunset discounts (5–7 p.m.) and afternoon tea with savory toasts and elegant pastries. It’s also a solid option for groups thanks to a $65 prix-fixe for parties of seven or more that features family-style seafood plateaus, fried chicken, and chocolate cake." - Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner
"The team behind Le Crocodile opened this flashy French wine bar six floors above their Williamsburg restaurant in the Wythe Hotel. Bar Blondeau is full of green velvet banquettes and two-tops where you can snack on tuna tartare, eat several rounds of oysters, and take in some great views of the Manhattan skyline with friends. You can also choose a bottle from their natural wine list—full of up-and-coming wine regions around the world—to enjoy on their large outdoor terrace." - bryan kim, kenny yang, nikko duren, matt tervooren, will hartman

"This Williamsburg bar, found in the Wythe Hotel, is run by the same team behind the ground-level restaurant Le Crocodile, which means the food backs up those beautiful Brooklyn views. Former Eater critic Ryan Sutton wrote that the establishment serves “somewhat edgy food,” small plates that “one might hope to find at an acclaimed neo-bistrot or cave a vins in Paris.”" - Nadia Chaudhury

"The team behind Le Crocodile opened this flashy French wine bar six floors above their Williamsburg restaurant on the bottom floor of the Wythe Hotel. Bar Blondeau is full of green velvet banquettes and two-tops where you can snack on fried chicken, order several rounds of oysters, and take in some great views of the Manhattan skyline. You can also choose a bottle from their natural wine list to enjoy on their large outdoor terrace." - neha talreja, bryan kim, carina finn koeppicus, hannah albertine
