"Bar Cantinetta is a fancy Italian spot with just a few tables in a quiet part of Madison Valley, and it works well for a date, providing the food doesn’t have to be the most exciting thing about the evening. They serve good-enough drinking snacks like fried artichokes with chili aioli, burrata with grilled bread, and roasted figs with prosciutto and balsamic, along with homemade pizzas and fresh pasta (we like their carbonara). If you can get a cozy spot in the corner, you’re in for romantic candlelight and the best seat in the house for staring into each other’s eyes, potentially making everyone around you feel a little awkward." - Aimee Rizzo

"The team behind Il Corvo used to have a pizza spot, too, but it closed because the world is cruel. So if you’re feeling nostalgic and want a pizza along with some fresh pasta, Bar Cantinetta is a good thing to do for yourself. Pasta-wise, get some amatriciana if they have it, and you can’t go wrong with a squash blossom pizza on the side." - Aimee Rizzo

Excellent! Went here for a date night and chose it due to the small, intimate feel and of course gourmet Italian dishes. There are only a few tables inside and outside on the patio. There is AC inside which is a plus for the summer heat! Had the baguette and fondue appetizer ($8), and the truffle pasta and Dungeness crab risotto (both $28) for mains. Must get the crab risotto, every bite was so flavorful, creamy, and the crab tasted fresh. The bartender made me an incredible mocktail! Service was friendly and made sure our waters were always filled. We will be back!

So lovely. On a fully booked night they made space at the bar. My 2 girl friends and I just had drinks and appetizers and they treated us just like a 5 party full dinner table. Everything we had was gorgeous and everyone was so lovely. The green beans are the sleeper hit on the appetizer menu, don’t skip them. The bartender introduced us to Nocino, this awesome walnut aperitif. A beautiful cap to the end of a great night. We’ll have to come back with reservations!

Bar Cantinetta was easy to find, and easy to enjoy. Staff here are courteous, generous with the conversation, and have a good sense of humor. My date and I got a handful of antipasti plates and one main dish over drinks. The cocktails, even tho off the menu, were made well and a good sipping strength. The watermelon antipasti was a standout, as were the artichokes. There wasn't anything to complain about food wise. If you're a fan of truffles I highly recommend the fontina fonduta, which comes with a struggle butter for the baguette. This is a great spot for a casual, but intimate, date night or reconnecting with old friends over light bites.

Simply amazing. One of the best meals we have had all year. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The stand out of the brothy clams with njuda sausage and grilled bread. They were served on beautiful dishware which likely has no enamel remaining as we scrapped them clean. Thank you for a memorable meal. Will be back next time in Seattle!

This place was amazing! Small and intimate, wonderful people who work there. Made me feel comfortable and at home. They didn't rush me and allowed me to take my time as I had appetizers, dinner and dessert along with wine and limoncello. The chef was accessible and spoke to you while he was cooking about the various menu offerings. The waiters were also very personable. The bartender was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The food was, of course, fabulous. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The bar manager Hugo, our server Miles, the server assistant Lucia, and chef Daniel helped make my birthday night a very special night. The food and drinks were delicious. Staff was attentive at all points. The Fontina Fonduta, Fried Baby Artichokes, the special of the night, Fungi Pizza, and the 10oz NY steak were incredible. I really enjoyed the Lady Madison (vodka), and The Cure (mezcal) cocktails. The outdoor seating area is cozy, and warm because of the fire pits. They checked vaccination cards upon entry. I would definitely recommend for celebrating a special night!

I had high hopes for this place since it’s so cute from the outside. Unfortunately you can tell that they cut corners with everything on the menu. The pizza dough tastes like $1.00 pizza you can buy on the streets of New York City or at Trader Joe’s. We had a tiny beef carpaccio and a salad that was literally just lettuce- for $ 10.00. I love going out and exploring new places but this place makes me want to stick to what I know. Sadly I won’t be back again.

Fabulous neighborhood trattoria and bar. Small menu and simple, perfectly cooked food. Cosy and intimate and fun.
