Google
Barcima had a great atmosphere, warm, stylish, and inviting. The food was pretty good overall, with a nice variety and solid flavors. The only downside was the inconsistency in service; there were moments where it felt like we were left unattended for a bit too long. Still, it didn’t ruin the experience, and I’d say it was a good spot overall. Worth checking out!

Google
This is an awesome venue with great views. We showed up on a Monday and wanted to grab a few rooftop drinks before we headed out to a comedy club. When we got there we were told that we couldn’t sit outside because all of the tables were reserved. They said we couldn’t sit outside, told us to sit inside and order drinks, (and were informed that after that we can check out the rooftop) , we had to first wait 20 minutes for our server to come over, then when server showed up she was extremely dismissive. When we were finally able to go to the rooftop (after solid 30 minutes) still no reservation showed up We spend a solid hour on the rooftop (still not having a table since we were not allowed to use it), not a single table showed up. During our that time we heard the host turning away multiple people, who wanted to enjoy rooftop, claiming that tables were reserved.

Google
Loved Bar Cima! Incredible vibe and great service. The Spicy Mezcal Paloma was a standout — perfectly balanced, smoky, and just the right amount of kick. One of the best cocktails I’ve had in the city. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you want amazing drinks and a great atmosphere.

Google
Very cute rooftop with great views & delicious drinks/food! Good vibes & Everything is reasonably priced for the area. Alex took care of my party and was great. Highly recommend!

Google
We were guests at the hotel. We went up to this bar 2/3 nights. Loved the atmosphere and the service. The cocktails were delicious and their wine selection was great.

Google
We hosted our engagement party at Bar Cima and had an incredible experience. It was a private event for about 55 people, and the space was absolutely perfect—beautiful indoor/outdoor layout with amazing views of the city. The cocktails were fantastic, the service was attentive and friendly, and the whole team made the night feel seamless. They even let us hang out past our official end time, which was such a generous touch and kept the energy going. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate—highly recommend for any private event or special occasion.

Google
Had such a great time at Cima Bar! The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect, good energy, and even better service. Samuel made us feel so welcome and really added to the fun of the night. Joseph, the bartender, was amazing, friendly, and made great drinks. The whole staff was super kind and attentive. Can't wait to come back!

Google
Bar Cima was incredible! I planned a private event there for my work. The service was top notch, passed apps great, and the views and sunset really bonkers. Lovely place to entertain clients, especially those out of town - it definitely has WOW factor.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW!!! There are an abundance of rooftop bars in Midtown, but this is among the best! The view is incredible but the service is even better! My server Mariana did a wonderful job serving me and my husband top tier cocktails. The manager Chris, however, was the reason I felt compelled to write this review. I don't know his role, but he was arguably the most hospitable person I've ever dealt with in NYC and I've been here for over 20 years. He took fabulous photos of my husband and myself and even got down on his knees to ensure the perfect photo. I don't give praise lightly, but WOW, so kind, so professional, and he speaks really good French! I'll definitely be back when the outside terrace opens! Wonderful oasis in midtown!

Yelp
Wanted to check out the rooftop bar while staying ay the hotel. I didn't have reservations but they ask you if you are a guest at the hotel. When I went on a Friday night, for hotel guests they had either seating inside or standing room outside. I decided to sit inside, and got seated by the windows with views of the Empire State Building. I've been to a few rooftops with views of the Empire State Building and I think this was the best view so far. Inside seating is where you're closest to it, I don't think you can see the same views from the outside patio as it faces the opposite direction. My party who were visiting from out of state were delighted too. Got the mojito and the spicy margarita cocktails. Mojito was light and refreshing, spicy margarita was stronger. Got some guac and chips and the mushroom empanadas. Our server was super nice and got us more guac after we finished our first bowl (it was a tiny bowl of guac and a giant bowl of chips). Food was pretty basic, drinks were good, views were great, I'd say check it out if especially if you're staying at the hotel.

Yelp
Reservations are a MUST for the weekends if you are hoping to nab a seating outside. Luckily, my bestie made reservations in advance, and we were told that although we showed up a bit past our reservation, our table might not be available any more. By the grace of God, we were soon led outside to our reserved table. The piped in music was club-like, and the vibe outside was very relaxed, fun, and positive. The staff was incredibly attentive and made us laugh as we asked about signature drinks. I settled for the "French Quarter" and my gal pal got their Cima specialty drink. We were so full from dinner that we didn't order any additional food. We saw other tables order tacos and nachos, but we wanted to sip and take in the Bryant Park skyline. My drink was little but mighty, as it was very strong and helped me get a good enough buzz to start to sway to the music. Not too much ice either, which was nice too. Make your reservation time early enough so you can see the city lights come on from early dusk to night time - really amazing!

Yelp
I had a blast at Bar Cima. I came here on a first date. Their service was exceptional they constantly checked up on us to see if we needed anything else. The view of the Empire State Building was fantastic seeing the colors change every couple of minutes. I liked their cocktails and the cheese and mushroom quesadillas. 10/10 rooftop experience. Great location for a date night or drinks with a friend.

Yelp
Beautiful lounge space in the rooftop of the Grayson hotel. Great views and vibes. Our group did a walk in and were fortunate to get seated immediately. As the night progressed, the seats filled up quickly. We all enjoyed a cocktail each - from their classic cocktails menu, Cima innovations (originals), and requests. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, the Cima Special. It was a mezcal-based drink. The smokiness paired well with the citrusy, fruity notes from the pineapple and lime and the kick of spice from the chile and tajin. The service was mediocre - only came over to take our orders but never came back to refill our waters. We did have to flag down a waiter/waitress twice to get our bill. Not a huge issue since we were enjoying the drinks, each other's company, and was not in a hurry.

Yelp
Ambiance: 5 STARS it's dark and moody with great music playing. The music isn't too loud so you can still have conversations with your table SERVICE: 5 STARS Our server was really friendly and made great recommendations. Drinks came out in a timely manner DRINKS: 5 STARS So many to choose from depending on what type of liquor you're in the mood for. I ended up trying a few. Each one was very delicious. Golden Hour: 5 STARS had both tequila and mezcal with a bit on ginger and honey. Nice balance of Smokey, sweet and acidic. Spicy Mezcal Paloma: 4.5 STARS like a regular Paloma BUT better!! Sonora: 4 STARS The mezcal overpowered this one but it was still very enjoyable! If you have a chance to check it out definitely a good place to catch the sunset and enjoy some delicious cocktails. They also offer food but we had already had dinner for the night.

Yelp
We were staying at the Grayson Hotel and had some property credit so decided to grab some drinks at Bar Cima. It was raining so we didn't check out the patio but the indoor space was pretty small and the view wasn't so great because our table wasn't by the window. The service was alright but the drink menu was disappointing. I like trying each bar's own crafted cocktails and I usually go for either a gin or a rum base cocktail but most of their drinks were mezcal, tequila, and whiskey base, leaving me with barely any option. When I was checking in at the hotel, the receptionist told me the Bar Cima is known for tequilas but I just found out that it's a tequileria. We didn't like the drinks and the vibe here so we ended up leaving quickly.

Yelp
The only reason Bar Cima is getting a star or two is the view, which is also just sort of awesome. Nebulez or even the Kitano is better. I can't tell you if the drinks are good because after a half hour of waiting, they still never showed up. They only have a thimble of hummus or eggplant if you want something to nosh on and if you do get the hummus, it's those stone pita things from the store, straight outa the fridge cold. The place feels like it's just too close to Bryant to be good or something. Go to the Elsie nearby if you're in this area and want a rooftop... the views not as good at the Elsie, but the place is big and they have better service. Not a place I need to try again, no reason (although I am bummed they never brought me the Oaxacan old fashion Probably awesome. Trash service, and/or poor management/staffing, I dnno; either way a big fail. Midtown is so much worse off with this waste of good real-estate. I'll be nice now; I enjoyed the music, the place was nice, it's atop the Grayson hotel, and the positive reviews of the place all got better service than we did by far.

Yelp
If you love mezcal this is the spot for you! Try their mezcal tasting ! Super cool! Such a vibe here too!

Yelp
This is a review for the recent 2024 NYE rooftop party. My actual score would be 3.5 stars. Good: nice DJ, tasty appetizers, open bar, decent side angle view of the Ball Drop on a nice rooftop. Bad: small lounge area (a bit smaller than the patio), not enough appetizers, no video screens showing the Times Square activities in real time. Overall: a good experience but not as immersive as expected.

Yelp
Came here for a private event that took up this entire rooftop bar. Located a few blocks below Bryant Park on top of the Grayson Hotel, you can witness great views of many iconic buildings including the Empire State Building, One Vanderbilt, and H&M Tower. Drinks were fantastic and service was great. No comments on the food.
google avatar

Najin K.

Yelp
Mezcal and tequila based bar. This place is never packed when all the other rooftops are which I dont understand because its got a great view, cozy seating, the service is mid. Drinks are ok.
google avatar

Yelp
The rooftop spot was a nice spontaneous choice for quick drinks before dinner; we were in and out in an hour. The martini was strong and enjoyable, and the service was good. The outdoor couch areas had a pleasing color scheme, but watch out for wet cushions on rainy weekends.

Yelp
Drinks were strong and well balanced/complex, although a bit pricey. Rooftop view was amazing at night

Yelp
Was shocked to find this rooftop virtually empty on the first nice Friday night of the season -- but also happy to have this gorgeous spot to ourselves. Our server was hilarious and took great care of us even though we were just there to grab a quick nightcap. Prices are what you'd expect at a rooftop bar -- though I was surprised that my Tito's and soda rang up a few dollars more than the specialty cocktail my friend ordered off the menu. Views are alright. There's plenty of seating -- lots of big comfy chairs and couches that I believe are first come, first serve. Can't speak to the food but it looks like they have a decent selection. Will have to come back for another visit once rooftop season is more underway!

Yelp
What a hidden gem! The Grayson Hotel opened at the end of 2022 so this spot is relatively new. We almost stayed here, but ended up choosing somewhere else. During our visit, we wanted to check out a fun cocktail bar. I ran across Bar Cima on Yelp. SO HAPPY I DID! ***LOCATION*** Not too far from Bryant Park and right off 5th Ave, this is in an amazing location. It's very central, but because of its location, you have the best view of the Empire State building. You can also see the World Trade Center in the distance. There are seats right by the window that you can admire the city from. ***EXPERIENCE*** I loved coming here with my partner. It was very romantic and fun. It's a mezcal bar so all of the drinks have agave based alcohols. The menu reads like a book with lots of interesting details and information about these types of alcohols in the back. If you're not a huge fan of agave based drinks, you might have a hard time finding something you'd like to drink here. However, the view is worth it. My partner got the Elote Old Fashioned which he liked sipping on. I got the Golden Hour. I was told it was light, but still found it to be a bit on the heavy side. The best part of the evening was there was a DJ for the night. We really loved the beginning of his set. Right before we left, it started to sound a bit like someone's iPod nano on shuffle, but I think this was because a birthday party came in with requests. ***PRICE*** Cocktails were $20 each. It's NYC and a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it if you're looking for an intimate bar experience with an INCREDIBLE view. ***CONCLUSION*** If you like agave based drinks, beautiful city views, and great atmospheres, this is the place for you. I would visit Bar Cima again because I liked my experience here so much.

Yelp
Great vibes. Love the latin theme. Bar Cima is perched on top of the Grayson hotel and offers a great view of midtown manhattan (i.e., Empire state). Drinks were fantastically made, love the selection of tequila, mezcal that they have here.

Yelp
Beautiful view from indoor seating at the rooftop. Almost every table inside has a clear view of the Empire State Building (minus one covered by the wall). According to the waitress, the two-seater tables along the windows are by reservation only. Walked in with no reservation and got a short table with a clear view (besides the people at the taller table in front of us) on a rainy evening. $20 cocktails, $16 glass of Prosecco. There was music at a nice volume and dim lighting; overall, my friend and I thought the place had good, chill vibes. To get inside, go to the back of the lobby at the Grayson (?) hotel and take the elevator to the rooftop. Not much signage besides a small sign by the elevator across from the bathrooms.

Yelp
Perfect oasis. Delightful vistas. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Giorgi -- he was extremely conscientious -- engaging. Responsive. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We did not receive the food we ordered, the drinks weren't spectacular and the view felt more like we were looking at "buildings" as opposed to looking at New York City. We also had a weird experience where our waitress took our credit card before we could order (as if establishing a tab) and then we never saw her again. Drinks were delivered (again... bleh) and we never got our food so we decided to leave. Then a new waiter gave us the bill and asked for our credit card. When we asked why the previous waitress took our card, he had no idea why she did that. I feel like there is a communication problem between the waitstaff and/or my credit number was stolen. I am now tracking all of my purchases on that card more diligently. Just not a great experience, especially for something that will charge more for the "rooftop experience ".

Alexandra D.

Yelp
We were headed to refinery rooftop but it was closed for a private party. I asked someone there where we could go and the Grayson hotel was suggested. If I'm being honest, I think we made out better! The view was UNREAL. The cup my drink came in was SO cute! I wanted it so bad!!
google avatar

Rebekah M.

Yelp
Such a lovely bar walking in I'd be happy anywhere they would place me. Beautiful interiors and a mezcal focused menu called my name. Great for a small group and golden hour. We had such great service too and would definitely go back!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
I went here on a Friday and had a great time. The drinks were tasty, music was good and you get to enjoy a nice view of the Empire State Building. It was pretty empty and service was a bit slow but otherwise would go back.
google avatar

Heathyr W.

Yelp
Rooftop prime location. Loud because of hotel guests but the rooftop patio is gorgeous, and quieter. Food is yum. Tasty chicken tacos won me over, and we had reservations so great view of empire State. The drink menu is delish, but be warned primarily mezcal. Agave based drinks, were good l, but we couldn't enjoy thanks to Saturday night tourist banquet party. Great food, view, waiters, and meh crowd. Edit: we loved Bar Cima, so thanks to the staff, chef, and bartenders. Crowds change so thank you for listening to my husband, and I concern's.
google avatar

Marcelle M.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday evening and was so impressed. The host was so welcoming and treated us so well (special shout-out!) The midtown views were spectacular with low crowds and decent drinks. Ordered the mezcal flight and other cocktails. The seating and ambiance is very comfortable
google avatar

Jorja L.

Yelp
I stayed for the week at the Grayson Hotel and wanted a nightcap one nigh, so decided to try out the rooftop bar in the same building. The decor and ambiance were fantastic both inside and outside. I opted for one of their 3 canned beers on the menu and it was fine. They had a pretty extensive menu of cocktails and mezcal - that probably would have been the better choice. Service was a bit slow, but friendly and accommodating when I decided I wanted to take my drink back down to my room instead. Great option if you are staying at the hotel, but not sure I'd seek out returning while there are so many other rooftop bars in the city.

Yelp
I went to Bar Cima yesterday and was blown away by the interior design, the views, drinks, and service! Bar Cima has two seating options: one is a gorgeous indoor space with tall glass windows that faces the empire state building, and the other is an an outdoor space with lot of seating and great views of neighboring buildings. I was looking for a spot to go on a solo adventure, where I could grab a fun cocktail and read my book and was thrilled when I walked in at 4pm to find that there weren't many people there. The music wasn't too loud and wasn't distracting but helped fill the space with upbeat vibes. After sitting down I ordered the Tan Lines cocktail which was excellent and then I ordered the Sonora which was also incredible. You can tell they take their time to craft the drinks. If you're looking to go here solo - there is no bar area to sit at but most of the tables inside are for 2-4 people so it was a great spot to sit alone without feeling like I was taking up a large table for a bigger party. When I went there were only a couple of other groups dining. I'm sure it gets more lively in the evenings but 4pm on a weekday had excatly the chill vibes I was hoping to find. One thing to note is there is no food so make sure to eat before or make a dinner reservation for after! I'm going to add Bar Cima to my list of places to bring visitors!

Yelp
Loved this spot. Great views. Good food. Nice lounge vibes. My group took photos there and enjoyed the food and drinks. Call ahead to make sure you get a good seat.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful decor. Intimate and sexy. View of the Empire State Building on one side, and an outdoor roof bar on the other. Drinks were complex and tasty. Service was a tad slow.
google avatar

IDefineHassan A.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday for some drinks and views. The space is nice and has a beautiful views but it's nothing special. The service is slow as i was seated for nearly 25 minutes before someone ( i believe she was a manager or owner) stopped by my table to take my order. I ordered a Mexican firing squad.... Nothing special of a drink at all. I paid my $20+tip and left. Im sure this was a one and done trip.
google avatar

Amelia R.

Yelp
This is such a gem. We went for Cima sunsets where they have a live dj 6-11pm wed-fri. The view is breathtaking! We found our new favorite spot for amazing cocktails. They mainly.had mezcal drinks however they have a few with vodka, Rum etc. It is on the top floor of the Grayson hotel
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
Very cute hotel rooftop bar. I came on a Saturday afternoon and was able to grab a seat outside on the terrace. The staff was super attentive during my time there. Of course its a rooftop so there are great views. The decor both inside and out are cute. They could have used some background music to liven the place up a bit but no real complaints. Drink prices were standard $20 a pop but is to be expected the minute to step onto a NYC rooftop. I would come here again.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
Came here with a few friends fairly early in the day where it was empty inside. With us being one of the few customers they had, service was attentive and very helpful in explaining the mezcal flights we ordered. The flights were enjoyable as well as their actual cocktails. Since it was early and bright out, we couldn't experience the views at its finest and would aim to revisit at night.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
If you like Mezcal, you will LOVE this place! Breathtaking views, well-balanced cocktails, and super cute decor. I really enjoyed my night here. (Also, try the mezcal flights!)
google avatar

Sydnee A.

Yelp
The views and drinks were fabulous, however the service staff was inattentive and not friendly. A bottle of still water was brought for the table, however no glasses were brought to drink out of despite being asked twice....but the check pick-up and drop-off could not have been any faster. Staff was also observed more focused on personal cell phones in plain view of customers and serious cases of RBF.

Yelp
Incredible new gem in Midtown! We wandered into the hotel lobby off the street looking to kill an hour between some reservations and the receptionist recommended we go to the roof and I was so glad they did -- I was absolutely blown away by the VIEWS, the ambiance, everything! The menu is extensive and thoughtful. The servers know their stuff. And the drinks were incredible! I asked for something smoky and spicy and got one of the best cocktails I've had ever, as recommended by the server. Already planning to come back!

Brian C.

Yelp
Ambiance and view was nice. Chairs too low to see over out into the city and for the tabletop as well. Made things super uncomfortable. Drinks were okay at best and service was slow. Overall do not recommend this place.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Great hostess who seated within a few mins without reservation. The hostess was very sweet with a great smile. See adisa.

T A.

Yelp
Terrible food. And the menu has two options. Took forever. Great views though! I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to go to a rooftop. I couldn't recommend the cocktails either.
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
Bar Cima it's a Gorgeous open air oasis bar on the 28th floor of Grayson hotel, open to the public at 4 PM. The service and energy is calm and welcoming, and the many variety of exquisite drinks will relax you after a long week. My friend and I order Tanlines, Spicy Mezcal and Oaxacan old fashion. The guacamole and chips were delicious. The Sunset is absolutely dazzling to see, making this a very special rooftop gem for date night or girls night.
google avatar

Abeda C.

Yelp
Great rooftop with amazing views from terrace and inside. Cocktails and music were a blast for me and my group. But honestly, the views are breath taking. Very clean and swanky bar. Dim lit and good for dates, business or friends. The staff is friendly, the bartender is someone I knew from FiDi! So lovely to have seen him there. They have 2 restaurants in the establishment I believe. I did try something from downstairs, it wasn't bad but will be back for food another night. It's definitely a vibe to check out as Grayson Hotel is fairly a new hotel in the heart of the city.
google avatar

Grant T.

Yelp
Ordered drinks, waited over 20 minutes with no inclination of when our drinks were coming, finally flagged down our waitress who (didn't apologize) and said drinks were "batch made" and so she couldn't tell us how much longer it would take. Left because we didn't have another hour to wait. 1 star instead of 0 because the view was pretty nice at sunset, just be prepared to wait (and for batched drinks rather than individually made ones which feels very bad for the price point).
google avatar

mia m.

Yelp
Loved this design of this rooftop. Went on a Friday night and wasn't crowded at all. Only had time to try the cima special and it was good. The views were incredible and I can't wait to go back!

Irochka D.

Yelp
My company had an event this past Thursday and everything was spectacular. From the stunning views to great service, delicious top shelf drinks and amazing food, nothing was lacking. We had an open bar package that included passed appetizers, chips and guac station and taco station. There was plenty of food to go around. I hate when you come to these parties, and the waiters show up with one tray of 6 pieces, which are gone in a second and then you have to wait for more. Not here. They were bringing food non-stop. Sliders, grilled shrimp, ricotta crostini, artichoke fritters, tuna tartar, something else. The tacos were really good. I got the beef one and it was great quality meat. I normally don't stick around at these parties at the end, but something about that evening was very special and I think this place had a lot to do with it, so I stayed almost to the end of the event this time.

Luke D.

Yelp
Terrible, one of the lifts closed, some toilets out of order, large portion of the menu unavailable, outdoors was wet so entirely closed off, no umbrellas or cover, just closed off and everyone moved inside and poor, sad seating on stools when expected a high end bar... at least a proper table. Unimpressed and would highly not recommend. Advertises as a cocktail bar and it couldn't really be further away. Felt like a quick hotel bar
google avatar

Alison W.

Yelp
Okay honestly some of the best cocktails I've ever had. My husband and I are staying at the hotel and wandered upstairs for some drinks after dinner. INCREDIBLE view and ambience. The bartenders are so knowledgeable and when I told her what I like in a cocktail she nailed it for both drinks she recommended. My husband agreed. 10/10 for drinks and vibe.

Amol M.

Yelp
Wonderful patio and outdoor setting.v Did not try food Service is great drinks were very good

Lisandra C.

Yelp
We LOVED BarCima!! Highly recommend . The views were incredible, the outside seating was huge, and the staff are so friendly. Cant wait till it gets warmer to go back!
