I would be lying if I said this place doesn't have the normal pretentious air of Downtown. But it also has some pretty amazing and unique prohibition-style drinks. Everything is made with the most unique jams, bitters and spirits you can find - guaranteed to have you feeling tipsy in a flash. It's located in a tiny little hallway between Second Bar + Kitchen and Congress, separated only by one curtain on each end. You would almost never know it was there, if not for the hostesses passing through every few minutes.

One of the most romantic bars in Austin is Bar Congress, which is connected to the Congress Restaurant. Artisan cocktails, munchies and desserts available inside this charming space or outside on the patio overlooking the state capitol. Whether it’s a group of close friends or a loved one, this will be a perfect addition to the night. TIP: Located between Congress and Second Bar+Kitchen. Open Tues-Saturday 5pm-midnight.

Not much atmosphere, and super cramped. It looks like they tried to cram as many seats into the place with no attention paid to customer comfort. My date and I had trouble fitting into the bar seats because they were essentially one right next to the other with out breathing room. The bar tenders were also slow to respond or acknowledge our existence or take our drink order. I understand this is because it's a "craft cocktail lounge", but I've had better service at other venues in the same theme in Austin. The clientele appeared to be the over flow from the condos above and out of towners. Disregarding the venue and atmosphere, the drinks were nice and were well made. I wouldn't go back.

This is a tiny little cocktail bar, but they sure make excellent drinks. There is a bit of pretension in the air, but they have a well thought out cocktail menu with many options, and their bartenders are knowledgeable enough to take requests and make suggestions as well.

Who doesn't love a nice craft cocktail with one of the best bartenders in town. A great place to go to after work or nice weekend hangout for a nightcap.

Great small terrace in the street with large menu of good drinks. Perfect for an after dinner drink.

Great place to mingle and meet that special someone for good conversation and libations.
