Bar Dalia

Honestly one of the top cocktail bars I’ve been to in queens. Service was impeccable, drinks were phenomenal, they had great variety, the atmosphere was really nice too! Atleast the times I’ve been, they’ve played good music at a reasonable volume. Perfect for bringing friends and chatting over a drink. The food here also is fantastic. Everything I’ve tried so far has been good. The drinks here are so good. It just gets super crowded really fast which can make it not so easy to order — a waiter actually came to serve us at the bar which was unique. That said the drinks are incredible and the vibe is also very cool. If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth checking out!

Bar Dalia is a vibey cocktail bar with excellent drinks, engaging and entertaining bartenders, and excellent Mexican food. From five to seven on weekdays it even has happy hour! The guacamole and chips are to die for, and we love the chicharron! If you like cocktail bars then Bar Dalia is the place for you! It’s such a gem and truly worth your visit!

Winf here recently with friends, thought we’d give it a try. Cute little place with a nice menu and good drink selections. Tacos were absolutely delicious as were the guacamole and chips and the brussels sprouts out of this world. Definitely going back yo this place another try to try some more selections !

I cannot express enough gratitude towards my experience at Bar Dalia. I reached out in hoping to plan a small gathering for my husband's birthday. Bryan, the GM, was on it. He delivered clear communication, prompt responsive, and assurance to the night of. The food was great and tasty. The drinks were on point. The staff was friendly or sharp. All wonderful things. I had the pleasure of reserving the back patio for a birthday party and everything was fantastic from start to finish. All my guests said they had a wonderful time, and it was all thanks to the staff at Bar Dalia. Everyone was complimenting the food, I wish I had ordered more! Plus, all of our servers were so wonderful and attentive. It’s also great that the place itself is so cute and the pricing for trays is very reasonable. I am so happy to have been able to celebrate there and highly recommend them for a casual bite to eat or to host your special occasions ❤️ Thank you again for the wonderful evening!

Outstanding bar at all levels and I cannot recommend them enough! Unique expansive list of house cocktails and under the radar food menu of small sharing plates. While the cocktails may get all the glory and attention, do not sleep on the food. The chicharron, tacos and yuca fries have me coming back just for that. It’s honestly that good!

A bar that not only sells delicious cocktails but also coquito? Sign me up! We ended up here after hanging out nearby and were quickly seated. It's a cozy place with a speakeasy vibe. Dark and intimate with candles on each table. We each loved the cocktails we ordered. My old fashioned was properly made. I tried my friend's coquito and it was delicious! Really loved the vibe of this place.

Great drinks and snacks for a happy hour moment. Came her with a friend around 5pm on a Saturday for happy hour and wasn't super busy. Started to get busier around 6:30/7pm. Drinks were great - definitely recommend the hot cider with spiced rum while in season. The mezcal spritzer was also great with the lychee flavoring. Empanadas and yucca fries were great for their price/portion considering it is a bar. Guacamole was great, chips fresh and seasoned nicely. Churros are a must try if you have a craving for dessert! Only issue was the server forgot our order and we waited for our empanada and fries for about 45 minutes. Thought it was just a longer wait until we noticed him serving food to another table. Was told "the connection on the device didn't work" and within minutes our food was brought out. When we ordered churros, they also came out within 5 minutes. Beyond the service experience, great little place and they do trivia nights!

The interior is nice and lovely. It gets pretty loud as dinner time progresses. They have a happy hour that ends at 7pm, and we got there in the nick of time. Between two people, we got the shareables - guac and chips, brussel sprouts with bacon, and chorizo. I got full from munching on everything. Guac was a healthy serving size and I loved it. It had the kick you needed. Chorizo was nice and cheesy, and I ultimately combined the guac and chorizo together. Brussel sprouts were nicely charred and sweet with honey. Definitely trying other items next time!

Been here with some friends. We sat in the patio, I liked the ambiance overall. We had some drinks, and I personally had the house spritz, which was pretty good. I also tried the Qesobirria tacos, pretty tasty but very tiny (2 tacos were 13$, I'm not sure if that's a regular price in Astoria). The person serving us was fast to bring our drinks, but she wouldn't check on us regularly enough, resulting in me having to wait 20+ minutes to order the tacos. Overall a good experience and I might come back again. :)

Stopped by for a quick drink. Had a couple appetizers and drinks. Food was delicious as were the drinks. Server had great recommendations and was very friendly and attentive The inside is small and intimate maybe not best for large groups but there is an enclosed outdoor seating area and an extra private group seating area extending even further out. Very cute. Would come again to try more food items and other yummy sounding drinks from the menu

While I still enjoy this place, the handful of times I've been there recently, the service has been extremely slow. The staff is friendly but it takes forever to place and receive an order. Hire more staff!! The food also leaves more to be desired. After trying 3-4 dishes that are amazing, the rest of the dishes pale in comparison.

The barrel aged Remington drink was so fire, I got three. Shrimp tacos were lit too, so was the green sauce. Let's go

This review is for throwing an event. 2 weeks ago I invited my friends to Bar Dalia's. I worked with the manager 2 months in advance to reserve the space as well as figure out the menu. When I got there day of, I was blown away at how great the space looked, how WARM it was (it was freezing outside!), and appreciated the birthday decor they put up! I told them the party was 90s themed and so they played 90s music. We had our own dedicated server (PJ) who was extremely attentive and the manager frequently checked in with us to make sure we were ok. The food I pre-ordered came out in a timely manner and every food and drink was delicious! My guests and I had a great time and I'll definitely be back!

Small, cute cocktail bar. Can't wait to go back again. Everything we ordered was soooo good! That Lava cake.....chilllleee, I've never been a fan but I can and will devour this one. The waitstaff was awesome as well.

I hosted my 30th bday in the back and it was perfect! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, high quality and a good variety. Drinks superb. And all around a great spot!

This place is small but cozy and although I was only able to have 1 drink here I plan on coming back asap for food and drinks. This place is not like others the bar is wonderfully put together and drinks are made by mixologist this alone has me sold! Under the bar there are hooks for bags and coats which is convenient. Now my drink was not completely made as I asked however it was good. I got there to late and the kitchen was closed which is why I have to come back to experience it. Stay tuned...

I had such a lovely birthday celebration at Bar Dalia! They were easily able to accommodate my group of about 20 for a back patio reservation, where we had a nice amount of privacy to hang out. Setting up the reservation with Bryan was seamless, and our servers Rachel and BJ were really great. The food and drinks were all a hit with guests, and we were also allowed to bring a cake! Crowd favorites included: crab cakes, veggie empanadas, roasted corn, strawberry and raspberry frozen margaritas, house shots, and my personal favorite is the elderflower spritz. It was pretty hot out, but we were able to make do with the fans they had running on the patio, and the inside of the bar has good AC. The staff had also been informed that I would be getting engaged that day, and it was really sweet how excited everyone was about it. I would definitely recommend hosting an event here or just stopping by for food and/or drinks. Thank you all so much for making my day so special!

Always a disaster. Bartenders are aloof, extremely slow, just terrible, can someone effectively train these people? As a manager myself I cannot fathom how this level of inexperience and neglect towards your customers can be acceptable,

WONDERFUL spot. Amazing cocktail list, I've been impressed and enjoyed every drink that I've gotten. In a city where cocktails can be charged insane amounts and taste like shit, it's nice to go to place with a more reasonable price ($14 for most) and they all taste excellent. The food here is more for light bites -- you could make a full meal of it, but I'd go here to just grab a quick app. The Chorizo and corn are two highlights from the ones I've had. The back space is quite nice and is the space closer to the bar.

I didn't eat here but stopped in for cocktails at the bar. Excellent service and amazing drinks. They're perfectly crafted, beautifully presented, and taste great too. I had the my novia drink and it was so good. Very cute spot and supposedly has good food too.

Came here on a nice Sunday to enjoy a laid back and chill day. I sat in the back yard which was a nice venue with natural sunlight and music. One of the best weekend venues to go to in Astoria. They have tasteful drinks that have a wide range of different tasting drinks that are strong but have great flavor. The food is amazing. This is not a regular bar with regular bar food. Their menu is delicious and the flavor is where it shines. Everything tastes better than expected.

The food was absolutely amazing. I recommend the chicaron as well as the chorizo! Amazing food! And if y'all want drink try don't skimp on the alcohol. For the whiskey lovers out order the barrel aged Remington!!!

We spent our friend's birthday here. The cocktails were amazing and smooth. The food was delicious, very good and a lot of variety! Love it here, amazing! Recommend anything Pork Belly or Chorizo!

I like the cocktails. Inventive and tasty. However, they do not have real/paper menus, you have to use a QR code on your phone, which I hate. Nothing like taking your date out for cute cocktails and then having to stare at your individual phones for the first five minutes. I will not be back.

I love this bar so much. My go-to order are an espresso martini and the crab cakes. If I ever deviate from this I will most likely try the fried artichokes and yucca fries as they both look amazing. They always have great music on, and the bartenders are top notch. The cocktail list is also fantastic, and while they are known for rum-based drinks, they have an impressive selection of whiskey as well. I know it is small and cozy, but that is great for someone like me who tends to bring a book to places and drink solo who does likes little hidden enclaves where I can escape without drawing too much attention to myself. Thank you, Bar Dalia, for filling that gap in the Astoria bar scene.

Alllll I got to say is that this place is a vibe. Such good vibes. I already had brunch else where but wanted to try a place that had good cocktails and they were delicious!!! On top of that their service was on point. I would go there on a rainy day to just chill & catch up with friends instead of being cooped up at home! Thank you Josh & team for your kindness, service & hospitality!! I definitely will be back to try the food and order more of their drinks. I'm normally not around this neck of the woods but since I had traveled all the way from Brooklyn already decided to try this place out recommended by a friend. Glad I visited!!!

Tom and his team pay great attention to detail, from food and drink to service and decor. Delicious cocktails and tasty menu options await. I've been to two parties here in the last two months and everyone enjoyed the hospitality. A friendly, comfortable, sophisticated vibe. Always a nice crowd.

I went in to grab a beverage and just check this place out. There was a mild local vibe as clearly the bartender, Megan, and someone else who I assume was the owner were chatting up a few people. Drink was healthy pour and I friend an empanada as the reviews weren't bad and for $5 how could it go wrong? It didn't disappoint and I will absolutely come back. The bar was stacked and seems like a good place to hang out. Only 4 stars because I didn't eat too much and I don't want to overrate unless I sample more.

Great spot with well-made, creative drinks and tasty small plates. I like their shrimp dish! The atmosphere is laid back and the space is beautifully designed with outdoor space in the back of the place. Check them out! Only down side is no physical menus and they don't give you a physical check at the end of the night... instead, they come up to you with a credit card machine and it's really awkward. I hope they change that!

Came here for dinner a few weeks ago and it's definitely a solid option. The draw for me was a cute backyard space and quesabirria tacos. The tacos were delish. We also got the beef empanada, garlic shrimp and chicken fajitas, as well as a michelada. The garlic shrimp was lacking a bit in flavor but everything else was pretty good. Portions were a bit small but I guess to be expected considering it's branded as a tapas place. The service was also very friendly. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal. I'd come back to try other items for sure.

I threw a surprise birthday party here and it was awesome. Every detail from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere was spot on. I'm so appreciative of Megan, Ricky, Bryan, and Tom for everything they did to make the party a huge success. I cannot recommend Bar Dalia enough.

Loved their backyard patio, Rosalita and the general vibe of the place.. can't wait to go back again this summer.. only feedback would be to add some more vegetarian food options

If you're looking for great service/food/drinks, then this is a spot you have to check out. My wife and I were walking around the neighborhood when we came across this place. The hostess was very warm and welcoming and convinced us that it would be a great idea to swing by another time. When we got in they were able to seat us in the outdoor area they have in the back. The setup is very cute and my wife and I definitely felt that it was safe to dine. Throughout the night the service was on point. I also really liked how chill the music they played in the background was too. The cocktails we ordered had great flavor and were just what we needed. The food was also really good. The chicharrón is the softest and juiciest I've ever had in my life! The empanadas had great flavor as well. Highly recommend you come check this place out! Great addition to the Astoria restaurant scene, especially during the pandemic.

Drinks are good and food was tasty but the portions were a bit small so be ready to get a few different options. Was disappointed there was no guac on a Friday night though. Got the shrimp tacos, veggie tacos, and truffle potatoes instead and everything was delicious.

Came to celebrate New Year's Eve and it was a really good time we had here. Food was delicious, good music, and nice drinks!

This was a wonderful weekend find! We love the Astoria food scene and coming here on a Saturday night was a total delight. 5/5 on food, drinks, ambience, and service! We ordered tapas style and got the roasted corn, maduros, empanadas, shishito peppers, pork, and chips & guac (roughly in order of how much I liked them)! Each of us agreed every dish was delicious, even if our tier lists were different. but you've gotta come and you've gotta order the roasted corn. For cocktails we had the My Novia (bright pink! coconut!) and the pineapple old fashioned (smoky, refined). Both were delicious, though the old fashioned paired better with the food. The ambience was comfortable (cute, covid comfortable back patio) and the service was excellent and attentive. We'll be back!!

Giving this place a 3 star because of the service. I went here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. We sat at the bar. We did not felt welcome the bar tender was rude and we felt as if he was discriminating. I was a waitress for 8 years so I know exactly how it works once you saw a minority I guess the assumption we would not tip or whatever the case is. We literally had to begged to be served a second drink, we kept ordering food had to begged to get a napkin at one point I had to share a napkin with my boyfriend. The food was really good, drinks were good. But the workers are racist so if you care about service do not go here if you are a minority. The crazy part is everyone else at the bar was sipping one drink the entire time. We were the one spending money and we're treated like loafers. Again owner please hire workers that will not discriminate.

Food and ambiance is pretty good here. Would recommend here mainly for the drinks. As for the food, I thought it was good but portions are small because they're tapas and not really sure if it's worth the price value. A little disappointed that they didn't have the steak fajitas cause it looked bomb from the pics, but the chicken fajita was cooked nicely and it was very juicy. Spanish chorizo was alright with shoe string type fries. The guacamole was good too, but wish they gave a little more chips.

Ambiance beautiful!! Great local bar. Food never got to it because they had a staff of 2. The bartender and a waiter. Such a shame the place has potential but when you run a establishment for a packed room but don't have the staff it's poor management!! Especially while the owner is making nice with patrons instead of rolling up his sleeves and helping out.

Absolutely amazing bar/restaurant- everything is great from the food to the drinks, to the ambiance. The service is perfect every time and the owner is wonderful! One of our favorite bars in NYC!

After walking by this place so many times, I was surprised to see how much more there was to this place. Inside is very beautiful cozy decor that screams the perfect date night or a drink at the bar. Outside is a really nice patio with a good amount of seating. My friends and I came here before our dinner to grab some drinks and tapas. I had the Margarita and loved how it had chunks of your flavored fresh fruit. Will definitely be coming here more often especially in the summer months :)

I've visited Bar Dalia a few times and have been really impressed with the cocktails, the outdoor seating and service. During one of my visits, they mentioned that more food items would be added soon, which is great. I have tried the couscous salad, tostones and guacamole. The tostones are amazing. The cocktails are out of this world - the margaritas are among the best I've had and the guava caipirinha is just perfect. Looking forward to visiting again. The distancing and COVID-19 safety seems really good too.

Great place in Astoria, everything I did try was delicious, from drinks, chicharrón, chicken sliders and spanish chorizo. Great atmosphere in general. I can't wait to try it again. Highly recommended.

AMAZING!! I love this place, the service is amazing!!! I love everyone there! But I have to give a special shout to FELIPE!!!! He has the best hospitality, he made all the service smooth, celebrated a friends birthday and more! Highly recommend this place, definitely ask for Felipe! He is the best server!!
