Bar Guillermina

This is the original Bulnes restaurant, family run for over 50 years by Jose and his mother Guillermina. Local tasty food and friendly service. Sitting in the patio looking at the mountains and enjoying an iced cold beer after your hike is priceless. The fabada and cabrito dishes are amazing.

Our group of 6 people all ordered sandwiches. They were just a large piece of bread no butter and slices of ham inside. Very basic and dry to eat. They cost 8 Euros each and it was the worst lunch we have eaten during our holiday in Spain. Not a good experience.

Great fabadas, cabrito y endive with Cabrales cheese. There staff, Flor in particular, was super friendly. Owner was a trip. Warmer reception than other places in town. We went back and had eggs and house made chorizo for dinner the next night. We really enjoyed that meal as well. I read other's reviews. Keep in mind the logistics of getting the food and employees up the mountain. We just ordered what they recommended or provided and were happy. In Bilbao I would have different expectations. Also - yes, flies in the restaurant. We rented the apartment next door and were warned that we'd get flies in the house if we left the doors open at all.

This place is priceless. The views of the Picos de Europa are spectacular. We mentioned that we had seen this restaurant in an Anthony Bourdain episode and they treated us super special. There’s nothing like the Fabada Asturiana they make here paired with their Boquerones (to die for). Don’t miss coming to this place if you are in Asturias. This was my favorite part of our trip. ❤️

was fantastic to visit the oldest bar in bulnes, met with great hospitality, cold beer, a delicious steak sandwich and perfect chorizo. owners very welcoming to discuss some history of the village with us. would recommend 👌

very bad experience ! I went alone to the restaurant after a hike, the guy working there told me the kitchen was closed, and his answer to my question if I can order a coffee was that I can go and order it alone! 5 min after that a couple came and they ordered food and had it brought to their table. As I told him that I thought the kitchen was closed, he started shouting at me. The coffee was served in a dirty cup and both men working there are totally unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Very unfriendly staff. Most of the menu items were not available. Food was not at a standard we can recommend. The other restaurant is at the same price level but significant better.

Food was average but the waiters were lovely
