Where to Eat the Best Desserts in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Part wine bar, part jam shop, part brunch spot — Bar Pomona does it all. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, pair a glass of natty wine with fresh soft serve, made in-house. Rotating flavors like strawberry and blood orange can be topped with delights like Luxardo cherries, chili crisp, and chocolate tahini. There’s also tiramisu, and keep an eye out for special appearances such as cookies, cake by Bronwen Wyatt of Bayou Saint Cakes, and other occasional sweets. Incredible doughnuts are available during weekend brunch service." - Adriana Lopez

The Best Wine Bars in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"This hybrid wine bar/jam shop is a St. Claude Avenue oddity, in the very best way. Bar Pomona is a cool little spot that punches above its weight in every way — wine, food, and character. Wines are mostly natural and from smaller producers from Oregon, California, Italy, and South America, and always include affordable options by the glass. Did we mention the soft serve, weekend pastries, and savory specialties like focaccia, salads, and lasagna night? It’s got it all." - Clair Lorell

Bronwen Wyatt Is Bringing Bayou Saint Cake to Marigny Wine Bar | Eater New Orleans

"A Marigny wine bar and jam shop that is bringing in Bronwen Wyatt as its caker-in-residence so customers can pick up whole Bayou Saint Cake creations and sometimes buy slices during pop-ups and slice events; the team is holding a welcome party on Thursday, July 20 when slices will be for sale and guests can also order from the regular Bar Pomona menu." - Clair Lorell

The Best Wine Bars in New Orleans

"This hybrid wine bar/jam shop is a St. Claude Avenue oddity, in the very best way. My husband and I went for the first time this past Sunday. If you want to have an authentic New Orleans dining experience - Bar Pomona is the place. The staff was on a first name basis with most of the diners. Intimate and chill. Needless to say the food and drink were 10/10. Thanks Chef Eliza!

My girlfriend and I went Monday night and had the lasagna special! And boy was it special. We also had magically braised white beans that were the size of a new born turtle. Our cocktails were just as tasty as the hospitality and our cheese plate made John Waters looking boring. 8 out of 5 stars! Just fabulous

I've loved brunch here for quite some time. However, I recently went for Lasagna night on a Monday, and I'm convinced Bar Pamona can not miss. The Fig Leaf Martni may be my favorite cocktail in town. Exceptional all around.

Best wine experience in New Orleans. The kind staff was so educated and guided me in choosing some options, ultimately expanding my flavor profile. Lovely experience.

Google
what a wonderful little place! my partner & i were in town visiting for a week & out of every where we ate, this place REALLY stood out. the atmosphere is very cozy with “home cooked meal” vibes. they also serve drinks (hence the name) & on mondays they have a lasagna special which was soooo tasty. the staff is also very very sweet, they gave us amazing recommendations & remembered our faces by the second time we walked in. it felt very personal & warm. they have kind of an “open kitchen” concept which i think really adds to the ambiance. it feels like youre at a friends house for dinner & drinks. love love love!

72 degrees, sunny, special day to enjoy what I would call an unexpected meal that completely exceeded my expectations. The ladies running things were precision personified. Knowledgeable, accommodating, delightful. I ordered an unsweet, iced tea. The tea is superb. Not your general brand. House brewed from exceptional tea leaves. That was just the beginning. The Deluxe Niçoise was mind blowing. Fresh. Balanced. Sublime. Crisp green beans, perfectly blanched. Potatoes perfectly cooked, tuna that must have been caught this morning. That meal was absolute bliss to enjoy. The biscuits and house made jams, so satisfying. The venue, reminiscent of a French cafè with all the little touches. Vibrant. What joy this experience brought to a perfect day in New Orleans. Make reservations. They fill up quickly. One of the very best experiences we have encountered in this foodie city.

Imagine finding a place with the warmth of a used book store, the familiarity of your favorite neighborhood bar and the culinary complexities of a five star restaurant. That's Bar Pomona!

Google
We are in the neighborhood and BP is the GEM. The olive oil soft serve is amazing. The wines are affordable and delicious. Mortadella! Everything! Don’t miss out on this delicious, cute, & quaint spot.

Yelp
My partner and I were staying in the Marigny area while visiting NOLA and went to Bar Pomona for brunch on late Saturday morning. We were so glad to find this place! I ordered a coffee flip, which was a non-alcoholic play on a cocktail with milk and egg whites for frothiness. Our food -- the Turkish eggs and the bacon egg + cheese biscuit -- were both delicious. All of the staff were friendly and kind, and we picked up some Jamboree Jams to take back home with us, which are for sale along with some other small goods within the restaurant. We would absolutely come back here again and recommend to friends!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Bar Pomona. Upon entering, the staff greeted us warmly and told us to sit wherever we chose at the bar or a table. We chose to sit at a table at the front window to get natural light. For breakfast l, I chose the biscuit with cheese and sausage. At the outset, let me tell you the tomato jam was THE BOMB!!!! I loved the texture of the biscuit....flaky, buttery but not oily and soft. The sausage had a nice flavor that complimented the cheese and biscuit perfectly. We also ordered the French toast. I'll let you judge from the pictures, but the French toast was nothing like your typical slices of bread. This was a WEDGE cut that had toasted almonds all over and toasted to a nice exterior crispy (not hard) and soft interior. While I didn't order it for my meal, I went in for the first bite and OMG!!!! I don't know if I can go back to standard slices after THIS WEDGE of Wonderfulness! The venue is small, but cozy. I can imagine sitting at our table for long moments with a pastry, coffee and likely a mimosa. The staff was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. We will certainly return to Bar Pomona.

Yelp
It looked too good, forgot to snap a pic first. The cutest place, wonderful staff, amazing food & drinks. Great little gifts available too with tons of jams for sale. One of the best biscuits I've ever had.
