Regional Italian fare and drinks served in a stylish, two-storey space with a patio and a buzzy bar.
"Bar Siena is the more casual, bar-like West Loop version of Siena Tavern. This means they have a similar food menu meant for dogs to eat on the outdoor patio. So come here for delicious pizza and pasta, while your dog has a hamburger patty." - adrian kane
"Much like your printed-out Pinterest board of celebrity haircuts, Bar Siena is on the bubble of being obnoxious, but the great food makes up for it. The space is always loud and crowded, with a huge bar dominating the first floor and a larger dining area upstairs that’s generally full of groups. You should get a pasta or pizza, like the pillowy gnocchi or the delicious prosciutto and fig pie - and if, after dinner, you want to give your great hair a second outing, head to Bar Siena’s enclosed takeout window (Bombobar) for dessert. It has great Italian donuts and gelato, and is always full of people, too." - adrian kane
"Bar Siena combines a fun crowd and atmosphere with tasty Italian food. A heavy focus on the menu’s pizza and pasta is the best way to go. All the housemade pastas are solid choices, and the pizzas are easy to share. Stay at the downstairs bar with one or two other people, or gather a bigger group for a table upstairs." - sam faye, adrian kane, veda kilaru, nick allen
"Open until 2am Thursday and Friday, 3am Saturday Late-night dining in the West Loop is basically nonexistent. Most kitchens or restaurants close around 11pm or turn off the burners and only sling drinks. But a beacon of hope does exist, in the form of Bar Siena. This large, trendy Italian spot has a specific late-night menu with things like housemade pasta, and pizza with toppings like Bufala mozzarella and white truffle oil. So if you find yourself hungrily wandering in a zombie-like state down Restaurant Row at 1 in the morning, nurse yourself back to life with some meatballs." - adrian kane, john ringor, veda kilaru
"Bar Siena is a casual, trendy Italian restaurant serving just fine small plates and solid pizza. It’s useful for groups who want loud music and the opportunity for West Loop people-watching before going out in the neighborhood, or for a date when you need to break the ice with a sighting of a former mayor." - nick allen, adrian kane, veda kilaru
