Bar Tizio

Could be because this spot is relatively new, but service was excellent. Servers were attentive, flexible, kind and elevated the experience. The candles are a nice touch and the wine selection is great but the atmosphere is pretty basic. The food and prices.... I've eaten at many resturants from michelin star to your basic take out and it's the first time I've had to pay for the house bread or peanuts. Gave the impression that the spot lacked a level of confidence and saught to charge at every corner. I never mind paying for good food, but $8 for peanuts from a jar? Salad was very good but the pasta- while not bad at all, lacked some dimension and was a tad too cheesy for my taste. If you come here for the wine and service, you will love this place. The food- its not bad but there are better spots in the area. Above average at a 3.5

We really enjoyed the food. It was not really Italian but it was fantastic. It’s a cute place with friendly service and I liked that the location was on a quiet street. I see myself going back.

We went to bar tizio for the first time tonight and we were extremely impressed. We had Alex and Jaime as our servers and they did such a great job! Alex explained the menu so well and Jaime was on top of our table making sure we had everything we needed. Where the experience really took a turn was when we were lucky enough to meet the manager Bruce! His energy, knowledge and passion for every item on the menu was very refreshing. Bruce came over a few times to make sure that we were ok. feeling so special really took the dinner to the next level. I will be coming back because of him for sure!

Excellent food, we tried a lot of the menu offerings and not a single bad or even mediocre bite. Staff was great and provided above and beyond service. If I was local to the area I’d be a regular here!

Loved this place! Chose it because of the location to an event and the reviews. Did not disappoint. Our entire team loved everything! Food and service fantastic.

Really impressed - we are longtime Barbuto fans and wanted to try Bar Tizio - food, service and vibe all 10/10. Our group of six basically ate the entire menu and there wasn’t a miss with standouts being the Chicken Milanese and the Lobster Pizza. Super interesting and deep wine list. We will be back.

Excellent food, great wine, laid back but attentive vibe. We liked every dish esp the pasta ( the Tajarin al 30 Pasta). Service excellent.

We had a great time. Service is excellent and the place is cute. We were celebrating an anniversary and they started with congratulating us and offering a complimentary glass of bubbles. Very sweet. I don't like the first bottle of wine that was opened and it was swapped without the blink of an eye. They did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. the pizzette and squash blossoms were delicious. The pasta was delicious too. The halibut was a little overcooked and if we had said anything, I know that they would have swapped it immediately. We didn't. All in all it was a great anniversary and a great meal and a great time

Next to Barbuto, Bar Tizio is a newer wine-centric, trattoria-style restaurant - my friends were impressed with their wine list! We ordered and shared the following: +Pane Baugette +Polpetti - meatballs +Verdure Primavera - a spring salad +Asparagi alla Griglia - with morel, hollandaise, and verbena +Tajarin al 30 - opted to add the caviar +Agnolotti - with English peas and morel mushrooms +and, a Pizzaette Cannolicci - pie topped with razor clams For desserts, we tried the Caramello Budino (butterscotch), the Biscot Cioccolato (chocolate chip cookies), and the Coppa Gelato al Pretzel (pretzel ice cream sundae). Good meal and great service! Same owner as Barbuto and similar style of food. Menu is meant for sharing. The short rib was excellent - everything else was solid, but not super memorable. Exceptional list of wines by the glass. Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful.
