Bar Vegan - Review - Old Fourth Ward - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"On the second floor of Ponce City Market, you’ll hear the music bumping before you see the flashing lights spelling out Bar Vegan on the back wall of the bar. From the mega successful Slutty Vegan chain, Bar Vegan serves all the classic drinks like margaritas, mojitos, and sidecars. But we’d recommend going for one of their signature cocktails like the Dias Punch or Marta Express—so good you’ll forget there’s any alcohol in them, so watch yourself. There’s also a variety of plant-based foods (hence the name Bar Vegan) like spaghetti and meatballs, boneless wings, and white truffle shoestring fries. Whether you’re vegan or not, Bar Vegan is a great spot for a drink right off the BeltLine. Just note it’s standing room only after 8pm." - Juli Horsford

As a group with varying dietary preferences, we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the vegan bar at Ponce City Market. The 'beef' cheesesteak was spot-on, and the sides were all delicious. But the real revelation was the Brussels sprouts. Honestly, we couldn't stop eating them! Even the non-vegans in our group were raving. This place proves that vegan food can be incredibly satisfying and flavorful There was even a dope live DJ but it was just a little too loud for a late lunch vibe.

Google
I had a great experience at Bar Vegan in Atlanta, GA, and I’m giving it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The customer service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The food was really good, with a noticeable emphasis on fresh, crisp ingredients paired with bold flavors. If you’re not a vegan or don’t typically partake in vegan cuisine, this is a fantastic spot to explore. They’ve truly mastered the art of combining freshness with well-rounded flavors that will satisfy vegans and non-vegans alike. Here’s what I ordered: 1. Loaded Fries - Topped with savory toppings, including vegan cheese, crispy bacon bits, and fresh green onions. The fries were seasoned well, and the overall dish was indulgent yet balanced. 2. Asian-Inspired Entrée - A dish featuring perfectly cooked broccoli, flavorful fried rice, and saucy sesame-glazed vegan protein. The balance of textures and seasonings really stood out. 3. Skewers - These had a beautiful presentation and came with grilled veggies, juicy vegan protein, and a side of rice. The glaze on the skewers was particularly tasty, giving them a nice sweet-and-savory kick. While everything was delicious, I’m leaving one star off as I think there’s room for the flavors to push the envelope even further to really wow diners. That said, it’s a great spot for those curious about vegan cuisine or anyone looking to try something fresh and flavorful. Would definitely recommend giving Bar Vegan a shot!

I had a good time at Bar Vegan recently on a Saturday night with two friends. The location was tricky to find, but located on the upper level of Ponce City Market in the back. This was my first time there. I noticed the cute decor as I approached the place, from the graffiti designs on the walls outside, to the lights and chairs within the establishment. There was no hostess and a sign that read "Seat yourself", so we did even though I made a reservation for three originally. Once we were seated, an employee brought us over a revised lighter menu and the options on it were slim. A few minutes later we met our server, Serena and found out that the location is closing for good on 5/5. Bummer. :( Serena was sweet and made sure we had water and refills as needed, while we figured out what we wanted to order. Apparently, there was an issue in the kitchen which caused the chef to only be able to make pizzas and serve salads as and operate with a full bar. This meant they could not cook any items on top of the stove or fry anything. The current lighter menu had three different pizzas and a salad, and $10 cocktails featured. This included lemon drops, Hennessy margaritas, and a few others. We were given water and opted for cocktails, since we were not in the mood for pizza. I bet it would have been a better experience if we were able to try the food from the original menu. I had the lemon drop and my friends had Hennessy margaritas and wine. The lemon drops were good! Overall, we enjoyed the vibe with each other (although music was a bit loud to hear our conversations). I even hopped in for the line dancing (They played Boots on the Ground & Flex). I am sad to see this place close it's doors.

Dining with Justin M at the bar was an enjoyable experience. He was patient as we looked at the menu and made inquiries. Justin explained how he handcrafted our cocktails as he prepared them in front of us. Using Baileys non dairy option in our expresso martinis to ensure a vegan experience through and through. The holiday decor added some extra warmth to the ambiance and made my visit festive.

The appetizers and food arrived quickly and were delicious. The service was decent, though the ambiance had a Hooters-like vibe without the TVs. Be aware of a 27% service charge on a $100 bill. We received complimentary tart shots, which was a nice bonus. Order: Cheesesteak Egg Rolls White Spaghetti

Delicious mock-tail and lunch specials portioned and priced right. Just a great thing- the perfect amount of service even sitting at the bar. Great idea and concept and I’ll bet dinners are also full of amazement. This place is the best thing about Ponce 🧡

Cool vegan spot in Ponce City Market. I tried their tacos & tater tots. Also had some type of mocktail but can’t remember the name. Good food. It gets really busy at night even on a random Monday.

My woman and I fell upon this place on our visit to the Ponce Market. The vibe was extraordinary. We really enjoyed our visit. We had two mocktails which were divine, Jazzy Juice & Virgin Mule! The drinks were mixed well and very fresh! The service was on point. Everyone was so kind, helpful and accommodating. Our waters were filled without being asked and our food was delivered hot without being auctioned at the table! Lastly, we had the maple glazed Brussels sprouts to start and they were so good! For our entree my woman had the friend lemon pepper chicken salad and I had the white spaghetti with grilled chicken. Both of our entrees were really good! They were really good portion sizes. For us our only critique is the amount of salt and I felt like my noodles could have been a bit more al dente. We also tried Angel’s Cakes with the vanilla ice cream and it was very good. I definitely suggest sharing with someone because it is very sweet, but very good. The ice cream compliments it very well.

Yelp
I had a great time here. The DJ played great music. The drinks were good and I had a vegan pizza that was delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive, he provided great service.

Yelp
This was by far my worst experience. I've been here a number of times but this, this was it for me. We were seated and there was no air conditioning where we were located, I bought it to the hostess attention who did absolutely nothing but tell me she would attempt to move me but they were pack, they were not! I'm legit in the building. We sat for an additional 25 minutes before a server even acknowledged us, acknowledge not take our orders or even offer a water. The amount of employees that walked past us was INSANE! I will never come back EVER! 45 mins later we're given water and she completely walked away. By the time she came back she was agitated, rushing us to order. This was absolutely insane. And if for any reason they felt inadequately staffed they shouldn't have opened. Shame on this establishment!!!

Yelp
Excellent service. Huge portions. Everything was seasoned nicely. The only point off is that the Natalie's Strawberry Lemonade was $7 when it's only $3 in the store -chalk it up to inflation and standard restaurant markup I guess but wow.

Yelp
This is so nice! Has a nice warm cozy feeling with the furniture! And has a great music playlist to set the mood. The drink that I tried was called the "I'm Solo" Server/bartender very nice, very amicable. Though it's obviously a vegan bar it had a very nice creamy flavor to it! It had a nice flavor to it. Would definitely say give it a try whenever you're nearby

Yelp
Finally got a chance to give this place a try. I went with a non-vegan and he didn't hate the food, so that's a win! He actually really enjoyed the Brussels and chicken in the general Tso. Cheesestake eggrolls: crispy, gooey and savory. What else can you ask for? Actually better without the sauce. A+ Maple Brussel sprouts: cooked to perfection and seasoned uniquely. A+ General Tso Chicken: a go-to that's a crowd favorite. You really can't go wrong with this dish anywhere. A Jerk Kabobs: difficult to eat, need to use a fork and knife and more plate space would've helped. Jerk seasoning was good. This was the only miss of the day. B- Service was outstanding, shout out to Mans (Emmanuel). The DJ was playing a great selection. The menu is smaller than I like so I would probably wait a while before returning, in hopes of finding some different options. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed Bar Vegan and highly recommend.

Yelp
It's a yes for me!!! I decided to become a vegetarian after my birthday this year in July. So now I am trying out all of these great vegan spots and this one did not disappoint us at all. First thing first this place is absolutely beautiful. I love the aesthetic and the best thing about it is that they allow you to seat yourself so we picked out the perfect table. There's not a lot of options on the menu so we ended up getting one of the two brunch options which was the chicken and French toast. I don't know what they did to make the chicken taste like real chicken, but it did..... the dish was absolutely beautiful and prepared really well. You can definitely taste all of the flavors, the cinnamon, the brown sugar, the vanilla everything was perfectly pleasing. The mocktail was very refreshing, I actually ordered something else to begin and decided to change it to this particular drink. The service was nice and no one here was breaking the bank, so this place will definitely go into our rotation as we love visiting the beltline at least twice a month.

Yelp
So we came at 9 & were told there would not be any food order is taken for 30 minutes.. they add 20% service charge 4% service fee and then the bartender had to ask for a tip WTTF THIS PLACE SEEMS LIKE A BYE DON'T COME HERE DON'T BOTHER COME HERE ZERO STAR -0 STARS

Yelp
I got to visit during the holidays. Located in ponce city market so the area was already busier. The service was good, they were understandably busy. The vibe is great, they had a dj playing good music and the ambiance was warm. I ordered a drink, it was a little strong. For food I ordered the chikn french toast. The chikn french toast was from their all day brunch and it was amazing. If I didn't know I probably wouldn't have thought twice that it was vegan. Cool place and would be visiting again.

Yelp
So as we journey off to wing ourselves off eating meat everyday we decided to finally give Bar Vegan a try and I'm so glad we did! It was GREAT!!! First off, our server was the sweetest thing on earth I'm actually upset that I can't remember her name! This was some of the best service we have had out on the Beltline (we have been to multiple restaurants on the Beltline) and we were so pleased!! The thing we love about Bar Vegan is it's mostly glass so you can look in and see the bar it just gives us a real good feeling. Bar Vegan is really nicely lit and it's not extremely crowed it's just a nice vibe! Now the server said that the menus has changed four times in the last year that's the only thing I don't like because my friend couldn't order what he had the last time. All in all I really enjoyed the food and drinks and will be returning!!

Yelp
Super cute space that offers a wonderful slice of reprieve from the bustling food court! The hostess and our sever Katie checked on us regularly as did the manager (I assume he was the manager). We enjoyed the spinach dip, Brussels sprouts, scallops, and filet. For dessert we shared a banana's foster. The scallops were unique with curry flavors and hints of fennel.

Yelp
Wandered by the Ponce Market and was looking for a good vegan meal. I was happy to see Bar Vegan here on the second floor. The restaurant is huge with bar seating, a private room, general dining room, and more casual lower table seating. They had a steady flow of R&B music. Menus are available via QR code on the table. A waitress quickly came by asking for my order. After learning more about the menu I decided on the loaded fries. She brought out plain fries thinking that was my order. She quickly went to get the loaded fries made for me. The size is large and can be shared between 2-3 people. Fries smothered in vegan cheese and topped with green onion & a sprinkle of vegan bacon bits. This tasted ok, but my stomach felt heavy and not the best next day. Had a little heartburn too. The menu mostly consists of processed 'vegan meats' with beyond meat as their primary source. They also use mushrooms. I stuck to the fries to avoid beyond items and nothing really looked super interesting on the menu. There are no dishes with tofu. I didn't see beans or lentils either. Overall the restaurant looks nice, but the food was so so and didn't see much variety in vegan protein options. I'd rather seek out places that use more natural foods. I also didn't like that they use styrofoam containers for items to go. Not environmentally friendly.

Yelp
If you're looking for a hip spot in Ponce City Market that serves vegan cuisine, check out Bar Vegan. The aesthetics are great, well lit, spots to take cute pics. Their shrimp tacos were delish and I would suggest the tots over the fries but you can't go wrong with either. I prefer to sit at the bar so you can get a nice view of the entire market and people watch of course lol. Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure it's black owned too. Three servers are always so personable and down to earth. They are amazing. I hope y'all all get tipped really well for your handwork.

Yelp
I've been to here a few times and I usually have a pretty good experience. The ambiance is nice in there. It's definitely the type of place that a lot of people at least in the past have really wanted to go to from word of mouth. I'm not sure as much about now, but they do provide a nice vibe inside. There's usually a DJ and it's nicely set up and decorated. The service is fair ...I like sitting at the bar and in the past it usually is always packed, but probably not so much now. I got the vegan cheesesteak eggrolls, and I was definitely blown away by how good they tasted. I usually don't eat vegan food considering I'm not and will never be vegan (LOL) but since we were here, I was hungry, and I decided to get their cheesesteak eggrolls because I usually like this menu item at any other restaurant. These literally tasted exactly like meat. I honestly can't believe that they are vegan because they were so flavorful, the texture was basically the same, and I truly enjoyed them. I wasn't planning to finish it but because it was so good I did. Lol I overall enjoyed this most recent experience and I would recommend it to anybody considering it.

Yelp
Very well decorated vegan bar and restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Ponce City Market. Delicious drinks and vegan chicken that are served fast. I highly recommend the boneless wings in the sweet chili sauce!

Yelp
What a swank, chill spot for first class food and drink! This restaurant shot to the top of our personal charts during a recent Saturday holiday shop at Ponce City Market December 2024. Work has been so busy for both of us that we have not been destination dining, sticking instead to local spots in Decatur / Avondale Estates - unless we are visiting friends / family. This will be a destination dining spot for us. Perfect date night. And the food is so extraordinary, designed to hit all the craving sweet spots that light up your brain, signaling, Treat! Indulgence! Comfort! I don't know how Pinky Cole does it, but I don't want her to stop. The menu offers so many delicious options that choosing becomes a dilemma, yet, you know everything will be good, so there's no anxiety involved. (Admit it, some restaurants you know there IS a wrong choice. This is not that place.) The drinks are inventive- the only reason we did not indulge is that we were starting our Christmas shopping, not ending it. Our server, Tatiana, was knowledgeable and charming- a perfect host for our first visit. I wish we had been able to make a night of it with her as our guide. During our meal - white pasta! Brussels! Sadly splitting it, because, again, it was BEFORE we were shopping and we did not want to have to carry around leftovers. (Next time, I will just carry around leftovers but there was enough to fill us up, and keep us from arm wrestling over the last bite of garlic bread). Tatiana told us that this restaurant is owned by Pinky Cole, who I knew of from Slutty Vegan opening in Brooklyn. And, of course, here in Atlanta. We will be back, and we will be bringing non-vegan friends, and they will love it. I have no doubt whatsoever that this would be a hit with anyone who loves food.

Yelp
I don't think she can miss everything she touches is a hit. This location is cool, love the atmosphere. We were down at the beltline and got a little hungry. So we decided to stop, glad we did. The service at the Bar Vegan was very good and helpful. By this being our first time here. Our server recommended some items for us, which turned out to be great. I'm not a fan of fake chicken, but this was pretty good lol. Look forward to another visit. I will definitely recommend everyone to check it out.

Yelp
My second time here and was so disappointed. I ordered the jerk oyster mushrooms no pineapple and sauce on side. They added pineapple which was no biggie I just pulled them off but the mushrooms were overcooked and dry. Couldn't eat them. My server, Solo, tried to argue with me a bit stating he made sure the pineapples were on the side. I showed him the grilled pineapple and told him they were on the kabob he said no they were on the side and I had to show him that there were 2 different types of pineapple on my plate. Raw and grilled. I also had the Philly eggrolls and they had a funny taste which I believe was the cheese which I was able to scrape and and they were good otherwise. The dipping sauce for egg rolls and the rice where delish. This is an example of why I shouldn't have give 20% gratuity for poor food quality and a poor customer service. No one offered a solution. I even asked the pregnant employee at the bar eating if she had the kebobs and she said yes. I asked if they were dry as line were overcooked and she said hers were not and the didn't appear to be.

Yelp
The good: Not bad for drinks. We did not try their food this time around. They had a great DJ jamming on Sunday and we loved it. The bad and ugly: I do say they need to work on how they treat customers. My friend had a bite of food from another spot after all it's a giant food hall. They were very rude and wanted to kick her out. Our tab was over $200 and we kept ordering drinks and bottles. My family owns restaurants, and this isn't how we would treat people, as long as they are still ordering drinks/food we would not care if they brought something from another area. Do better.

Yelp
Great food, great fellowship! New beginnings! Our seever was great! Very knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered cocktails and mainly appetizers. Sangria was really good. The DJ WAS SOOOOOOO damn good! The waitress told us the DJ keeps them crowded outside of the food! When there is great music playing while you eat, you cant do nothing but dance! Lol We ordered Maple Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Fried Green Tomatoes, Onion Ring Flight, sweet potato fries(not that good). It was not crowded at all and everyone was kind and professional. Here are some pictures to follow.

Yelp
Swung in here on a rec from a local while visiting Atlanta. I'm vegetarian so vegan is not my first reach but my goodness! Funky place with great music and vibe, super nice waitstaff, and the food!! I had the eggrolls and cannot recommend high enough. The Beauty and the Beast cocktail was an unexpected pleasure. Would so come back if I lived here.

Yelp
Visited Bar Vegan for the first time and it was a great experience. We had the brussel sprouts, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, General Tso Chicken and the Jerk Kabobs. Everything was good. My brother was with us and told us he didn't like brussel sprouts. I convinced him to try one and he was sold. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively. They had a live DJ and the music was a good mix. Can't remember our waitress's name, but she was amazing. Gave it a 4 rather than a 5 because of the music. I enjoyed it, but sometimes I just want to have dinner. I highly recommend it even if you aren't vegan. You'll be pleasantly pleased.

Yelp
I've been to bar vegan....100 times to have plenty of drinks and this is the first time I've actually tried their food and BOY DID IT SURPRISE ME. I'm not a vegan but the food was seasoned to perfection! The sauce they use for their cheesesteak eggrolls were on point and the tots were tottin! The vibes here are always wonderful. If you sit at the bar, they often do a shot o clock and highlighted their expresso martini which was delicious. The service sometimes is a hit or miss. We waited for 30 minutes for our table and another person gave our table up but we just opted to sit at the bar and our friend just stood the whole time. I'd still come here because the music is good!

Yelp
I'll explain this later but they were really super sweet to me and my daughter and her two preteen friends when I had a bit of a food emergency after confusion booking a skate the sky igloo... And also the food is awesome!

Yelp
I've been to the location several times. Every time I've gone, the food has been great, the music has been on point, and the staff has been very friendly and helpful. I 10/10 recommend this place.

Yelp
A friend of mine decided to take me out and treat me for dinner. Knowing that I am trying my best to be on the vegan train we looked for some local spots and decided to try out the vibe here at our Bar Vegan The location is on the second floor of the Ponce city market and it's in a very good location not too far off from the parking deck, garage elevator. When we got there, there was a host at the door waiting to see us and we pass the DJ, who was playing hip-hop music, and we sat in the rear of the restaurant near the window. Our server came right away and was friendly enough and took our drink orders. I asked him for recommendations for a Mocktail and asked about sampler options which were not available. We ordered and the food took longer than expected. He later came by and apologized that there was a shift change, which was causing the delay. I thought maybe he would've provided a free beverage due to the inconvenience, but he must've been confident that the food would eventually come out. Well, got the food, and it was absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised. He forgot that I had ordered steak potato fries in that steak fries and quickly brought those out after reminding him. Pros- the food is absolutely great. They have quite a few options for you to try anything that is similar to what you might usually get at a restaurant but with a twist. So for example, you typically can get quesadillas but not jerk quesadillas so I like that a lot. The vibe is nice and club style . The service was decent, and the server was friendly . They have a QR code on the table on a cork. She was nice and different. Cons- the vibe is club style. I know how can that be a pro and a con? LOL Well, the music was absolutely too loud for my liking. It was hard for us to even hear the server. Thankfully before I got to the restaurant, I already knew what I wanted to order because if it was to have to hear what they were offering, I would have had challenges without using the QR menu. The music that was playing head, foul language, and I saw a couple with a child in the restaurant, and I thought that should've been taken into consideration . Also, to be honest, I didn't want to hear, cursing while I'm listening to my music at 5 PM on a Sunday evening or any evening for that matter. Ultimately, it was a great experience good vibe and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
So let me just say I was so excited to go check out this restaurant! I've been wanting to check them out for a while. And I've heard all good things so I definitely had to get myself over there. First of all the atmosphere is dope! It's just about all the way around from the DJ as soon as you walk in the door to the aesthetics of the restaurant and good service! But the food is what blew my mind. I'm not vegan however, I have started eating more vegan options. And when I say everything was so flavorful! I enjoyed everything that I had and even tasted my friend's food and it was delicious as well! The price point is a bit high but the food was so good I didn't mind. The drinks were good as well. I will definitely go back to this location a few more times and recommend it to others!

Yelp
I tried the bourbon wings and they were delicious! As a vegetarian it's always hard to find wings and they absolutely nailed it! The salad that came with the wings made it nice and filling! I'll certainly be back to try their other menu options! Service was great and the ambiance of bar vegan is awesome!

Yelp
Litty vibe for sure! Went on a Weds night for my homegirl birthday and got there 45 mins before they closed so the kitchen wasn't making anymore food only the bar was open for drinks which was fine. We came to drink anyway. The drinks were bomb! We got strawberry margaritas & passion fruit lemon drops, 2 rounds. It was a nice vibe in there as it was my first time there. I would recommend going for a girls night, chill night or even a fun date night.

Yelp
Incredible experience at Bar Vegan in ATL! The atmosphere of this restaurant was a breath of fresh air. Notably because of the black owned excellence presented. Prices were reasonable and the bartender/chefs are absolutely on point. I had a margarita pizza and it was delicious. The environment was crispy clean with an upbeat pretty good DJ, I can't wait to go back and experience more of their food/drink options.

Yelp
I did a to go order. I ordered at the bar sort of lol. There was a lady on the side who helped me and she was really nice! I ordered my food and waited outside in one of the chairs. They played some really great music! I had my food in less than 15 minutes! Food is good! Fries were seasoned well. The quesadilla (it comes 4) were so spicy yet so good! When she said the jerk chik'n spicy, she meant it!

Yelp
I definitely want to come back! I would like to give a caveat that my review is for lunch time and I haven't been in the evening when the place becomes more of a bar/club vibe. My visit was during the holiday season and the place was looking cute. The menu is what people would call "bar food" and it is ALL vegan. When I dined in it was a spur of a moment thing meeting friends and they just said to meet them there so I did not have a chance to read up on the restaurant and get familiar with the most popular dishes. If I had I would have known to get one of the cheesesteaks or the wings. I opted instead to get the green goddess pizza. My friends got the cheesesteak egg rolls and the chicken wings. One observation I had is that the serving sizes vary wildly. The eggroll portion is 2 eggrolls that have been sliced in half diagonally plus a side. The wings come with 10 (I think) and a side as well. The pizza is the size of a medium pizza. I couldn't help but feel bad for my friend who ordered the eggrolls because they were eaten rather quickly and then to contrast I took half the pizza home with me because it was so big. I'm not sure the eggrolls should be listed as a main dish on the menu and I think they'd fit better under the appetizers section. Another point of disappointment was that one friend ordered a drink off the mocktail list for $7 and was served a bottled drink (like literally still in the plastic bottle) and a glass of ice. That seemed a little deceptive to us... I mean what's next is a Sprite a mocktail? Flavor wise everything (that I sampled) was delicious! My pizza was very good and not heavy at all. My friend offered me a nibble of his chicken wing and it was very tasty with a great texture. I didn't get to try the cheesesteak eggroll but it did look very good and now that I am looking up the place I do see that the cheesesteaks are somewhat of a signature here so it's definitely on my list to try when I get to return! I brought half my pizza home to my husband because he loves green goddess things and he loved it and asked me "If it's vegan how is there cheese on it?" He was shocked when I told him it was 100% vegan and said he would have literally never guessed.

Yelp
I'm not vegan, but the food here might make me change my mind!! How do they make it taste so delicious? We sampled the cauliflower wings, the brussel sprouts and the pretzel balls. We ordered the egg rolls and the Philly sandwich. Fricken delicious!! And the drinks? Heavy pours, good flavor! Run, don't walk here!

Yelp
We decided to come here after a concert at City Winery. I have never had vegan food so this was my first time. When we arrived it was packed so we sat outside of the actual bar and order the food to go. We had the Philly CHeesesteak egg rolls and boneless wings. Everything was pretty tasty, and I honestly forgot it was vegan. I would give it a 6/10 -- the sauce that came with the egg rolls was SPOT on! I will be back.

Yelp
This was my first time at bar vegan and I would say it's a great spot with wonderful drinks and amazing djs. We sat at the bar as there was a wait for a table and ended up staying as we were happy with the service we were receiving. We ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls which we didn't know came with tater tots (nice addition) and they were tastier than I expected. I would recommend this place if you're looking for great music, drinks and bites to eat. Ready for my next trip to Atlanta so I can try out their brunch.

Yelp
CAN ONLY REVIEW DRINKS Went here for pre-dinner drinks. It's a scene! Totally fun vibe. SUPER loud (there's a DJ). People having FUN-- lots of parties/large groups. Really diverse crowd. It was definitely packed Saturday 7pm, so we waited a bit for service (to be expected), but the servers were very friendly. Yummy drinks. The menu looks great, can't wait to try the food next times

Yelp
I'm not a vegan... but this place came so highly recommended by my Texas friends I had to give it a try. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower on the menu priced at $15 but charged at $19... which makes no sense. Even with the ridiculous 20% service charge that would be $18 not $19. But whatever... The Buffalo cauliflower was ok. Cauliflower texture was great because it wasn't too mushy but rather soft and firm. The breading was soggy and the Buffalo sauce had very little flavor. I did, however, appreciate that it was on the mild side. The vegan ranch was off putting upon initial glance because it had a grayish tint to it which I assume is because of the milk substitute... but the taste actually wasn't bad. Tasted like a bottled ranch. Would I go back? No, and it's not because I'm not a vegan because there are several dishes I'd still like to try. But I have a problem with these Atlanta restaurants charging a 20% service charge... either up your prices or pay your staff appropriately! Besides, I outside tipped her more if you didn't have the service charge.

Yelp
Bar Vegan is a popular bar that serves Vegan Bar Food. It's a popular bar created from the owner of Slutty Vegan, Pinky Cole. The bar can be found on the 3rd level of Ponce City Market and can be accessed from the Beltline or parking in the worse designed parking garage ever! lol.... To sum it up, I give Bar Vegan 3 stars! It was Ok!...The menu is disgustingly short with the most random options. Portions are small and the quality was rather poor. The DJ on the other hand creates an AMAZING vibe and has to be one of the best DJ's in the city. He mixed both Old and New Jams with a nice mix of NY style Hip Hop and Down South Beats. This is a GREAT place to grab a drink, relax and just enjoy the ambiance. I do feel they need to work on the menu. I was highly disappointed in the quality of food, how the food was plated and the portions. Bar food doesn't have to be piss poor as you can make bar food really good and add to the prestige of the "Vegan" brand.

Yelp
As others have said, the food here is not great, but that isn't what you come here for. You come for the drinks and ambience. The lychee breeze was possibly the best mocktail I've had in my life. The music was on point. If the food was better, this place would be fantastic. Other info - It's located in Ponce City Market, owned by the same owners as Slutty Vegan. There was a wait when we were arrived late Saturday afternoon so we put our name down and walked around in the meantime; it ended up being about half an hour of waiting. It's a cashless establishment so pay via card. It's also the only fully vegan place in the market so automatic brownie points from me. Definitely pay a visit for the drinks and vibes, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Bar Vegan was very nice. The seating was spacious and comfortable. When I went there was a live saxophonist and it was amazing. The food was also top tier. The quesadilla was nice and cheesy and the jerk flavor was very tasty. The tacos were so full and they all tasted very good. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Came in for drinks with the girls. Had Solo as our server and he was WONDERFUL. So personable, so friendly. We split the Patron Margarita tower and it was a perfect balance of strong and sweet. The steak cut fries on the side really made it palatable. Parking is QR code metered. Overall chill and friendly lounge vibe. Would def come back to actually try the menu.

Yelp
Shout out to Deja! She made my first experience here an amazing one. With her great energy, great food recommendations and very knowledgeable about the restaurant she is definitely the real deal. 10/10 service.. Now on to the food. Chef's kiss! This food was bussing. I got the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and one of the chef's specials. Food was absolutely tasty and the drinks were on point. Love it here and the music and vibe is unmatched! I will most definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Great food, great ambiance, and great service! I ordered the Don Juan to drink. It was pretty, fruity, and delicious. It has tequila, Prosecco, hibiscus, and pomegranate. To eat, I ordered the cheesesteak combo with a kale Caesar as a side and both items were great. The cheesesteak is made with impossible meat, so keep that in mind! There was a dj playing a good mix of afrobeats, R&b, and more. Very fun yet chill place. Overall, I give it 5 stars, and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This place was lit!!! Food was tasty and healthy... We were immediately seated when arrived on a Thursday evening. The waitress seated us near the bar and live band. Thursday night for is live Jazz. Items ordered : 5 stars Southwest eggrolls (beyond meat) Lemon pepper boneless wings (beyond chicken fingers) Kale salad Sweet potato bread pudding ( a little dry) The portions were large and food came out quickly. Ambiance: Jazzy, Friendly and Lounge Vibe (without hookahs) The restaurant is owned by Pinky Cole same owner of Slutty Vegan . I get were she was going with the theme of elevating the Vegan experience!! Great job for incorporating Vegan into a lifestyle! Bar Vegan is the Exclusive version of Slutty Vegan. I will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for date night and it was great first experience! We are not vegan but the food was really good! Everything was very flavorful! Best Brussels sprouts I have ever eaten! The service was great and very helpful with it being our first vegan experience at this establishment! 10/10 would recommend! We will definitely be back. Especially for the Brussels sprouts!

Yelp
We had a party of 3 for dinner at 7:30 on Monday, 12/26/22. We were seated right away. When we first got there, they had a DJ. The music is very loud. But when my friend asked them to lower the volume a bit, they happily obliged. Shellie was our amazing waitress. The service was great and our food came out super quickly. We each got an entree and split them all. Here's what we got: - Cheesesteak Combo, side of Tater Totz ($18): Eh. The cheesesteak was just eh. The tots were good. - Quesadilla Combo with Impossible Beef, side of Steak Fries ($17): Wasn't a huge fan of any of the entrees, but the quesadilla was probably the least worst. The tots were definitely better than the fries. - Eggplant Parmesan ($17): Zero taste. The portion was also super small. Two measly pieces of eggplant?? And the spaghetti was just so blah and basic. Five stars for service, two stars for food. I would not come here to eat again.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch. They have great drinks and a simple but solid menu. Service was quick and food was solid. Bonus for the lunch deals.
