The Best Restaurants Near The Circuit Of The Americas Racetrack

"Barbacoa Santa Rosa is only open on the weekends—and often sells out early—but it’s worth setting a morning alarm to line up with the rest of the crowd at this Pilot Knob trailer serving excellent lamb, goat, and beef barbacoa. You can order by the pound or by the taco, and we can all but guarantee that whatever route you go, you’ll wish you had requested just a little bit more. Save yourself the regret and get a few tacos, a big cup of hot consomé to sip on, and extra meat to go. It’s slow-cooked and tender, and it goes exceptionally well with a dousing of bright green salsa. Our only complaint is that the generic tortillas are the weak link on an otherwise star-studded plate. " - nicolai mccrary

The barbacoa in its 3 styles (goat, lamb and beef) were great, I truly believe this place is the best place to eat barbacoa nearby, definitely not TexMex !! Some consider it pricey, but honestly knowing how much time they put in on preparing the barbacoa plus the flavor, its worth it.

The Franklin BBQ of Taco stands can be found in Pilot Knob just outside of Austin. The line here was at least 50 deep when I got here and was informed that the Barbacoa tacos were en fuego.

This place is fantastic and loaded with food trucks. Barbacoa Santa Rosa specializes in barbacoa de Chivo (goat) and borrego (sheep) .Hands down the best Barbacoa you'll ever have.I also recommend the consumme. Its to die for. The crew is super nice and caring. The only down side is. They're only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Otherwise I'd go there everyday!

A specialist with offerings of goat and lamb. Both are good but my preference leaned to the slightly more flavorful lamb. The consome is lighter in body and flavor than most others in town, but is loaded with meat, garbanzo and potato. A preference for a hot Texas summer.
