Bottom line: Sunday brunch at Barceloneta was practically perfect. Great server, tasty choices for both appetizers and entrees, and an amazing dessert to top it all off with at the end.
The Deets:
In my recent trip to Miami Beach, my friends made sure to schedule Sunday brunch at Barceloneta for the trip. I have to admit if I had just looked at the menu myself without anyone else recommending it, I may have passed on this place. I am so glad I did not pass on it. The experience was great from start to finish. We were sat quickly to our table outside and our amazing server started making sure we understood the menu and took drink/appetizer orders (with an amazing bubbly, positive, and helpful demeanor). We started with ordering Tortilla De Patatas (Spanish potato and onion omelette) and Pan Con Tomate (grated tomato, garlic, olive oil on toasted bread). Both of these starters are delicious choices to get the brunch going. The omelette was so fluffy and delicious, and the grated tomato bread really surprised me in a good way as I am not one for raw tomato usually. For my main entree, I got the Tosta De Salmon Ahumado (avocado, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon on toast) and it was a light and delicious choice that was perfect for a Sunday brunch. I love everything in it...the ingredients came together nicely with the smoked salmon notably some of the best I've had. We topped off a great brunch with the choice of the dessert special Copa De Caramelo to all share that has salty caramel mousse, raspberries, and chocolate crumbs...perfection in every spoonful (check out the spoonful pic if you don't believe me). I came away from Sunday brunch at Barceloneta happy and satisfied, what a great find!
