Meh. Went here for restaurant week and wasn't really impressed. Be aware, there is a nicer side to the restaurant and then there's bar restaurant seating which wasn't a personal favorite. We did the three course with the pairing which was honestly a great deal for the price. But the food was inconsistent and so was the service. First of all we were pushed to order our first and second course together without knowing our second course would be brought out immediately. This then disrupted the flow of trying to get our second round of drinks, giving about 20 min of waiting for your drink while the food gets cold. Which leads into you getting rushed for your dessert and third drink. My first round was the guacamole with chips, pretty decent but there's no reason to put balsamic on guacamole... seemed sacrilegious since this is a Mexican place. I paired this with the Pinot Grigio, this was light and refreshing. We also did the Warm Elotes Dip which was nothing to write home about. We weren't even done with our first round when our second round came out. My table opted for the Charred Flank steak which was so juicy and tender. Yet we all got different variations of the regular menu and restaurant week menu which was comical, yet shows the kitchen is not working together. Due to getting the steaks and not even being asked for our second drink, we then waited forever for the server, then for the drinks to actually come. By the time they came, our food was already done. At this point we learned our lesson and put off ordering the third round until our cocktails were finished. For second round drinks we did the Julio Smash ( one of the strongest cocktails I've ever had, to the point where it made my stomach ache ), the Peach Palmer ( perfectly made with the right amount of sweetness ), and the Ginger ( a total banger, this was delicious ). Our third round drinks were the Espresso Martinis ( heavy on the espresso flavor but fine, we also got no foam ). Desserts consisted of the Spiced Xocolatl Crème ( the crunch of the toasted pumpkin seeds were amazing with the crème, but it was definitely not spiced ) and Tres Leche Cake ( a classic, solid dessert to order ). The food was honestly so delicious and so were the drinks. Restaurant ambiance just wasn't our favorite and our server seemed to have an attitude with us ( they have tip included so they have nothing on the line )
I personally don't have a need to come back here, it was fine for what it was, just not a stand out restaurant in my opinion.
